#copied

"OK since today is for testimonies, I'd like to give mine.

I was introduced to your Facebook page and website healthandbeauty102.com by a friend, Mkpouto.

I've never ever known my dad to be ill but a couple of months back dad called to say he was not himself. Ah! For dad to say this...

He had issues with his prostate, he couldn't pass urine and was in SEVERE PAINS.

I told dad about your product and he seemed really not interested saying it had reached a stage where nothing was going to work.

All he wanted was to go for an operation and nothing more! I kept insisting that i'll get the product for him, finally he agreed to give it a try.

Fast forward to now,my dad looks vibrant, can pee etc.
My dad came back to life.

You know dad could remarry if he wants to.,the wife must not hear this!

This product is truly the bomb!
Thank you Mkpouto, thank you Mrs Sandra, thank u to this miracle in a bottle! Just in case you are still doubting this product potency, quit the doubt and help your loved ones come alive!!"

I was so happy to see and hear this testimony, I just had to share it with everyone.
Please do not suffer in silence speak out and ask questions, you never can tell where your solution lies...

Have a blessed night and a productive day ahead.

sandyo:
How can you tell if your prostate gland is enlarging or its already enlarged?

Let's go through this questionnaires together:

* Do you urinate more than 2 times at night before morning?

* Do you usually have that strong urge to urinate only to get to the toilet and nothing comes out from your plumbing area?

* Has your sex experience become a painful one?

* How is your Erection? does it have a low self-esteem or None at all? smiley

* Can you sit for a 30 mins office/business meeting without excusing yourself for several bathroom trips?

* Do you feel pain when you urinate?

* Do you feel pain in your plumbing area?

Prostate issues cannot be overemphasized because No fewer than 14 men die daily from prostate cancer in Nigeria, according to Dr. Emmanuel Ajibolajeje, a Consultant Urologist, Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that about 80% of men will eventually need treatment for prostate problems.

No wonder prostate has been described as a time-bomb ticking away in the plumbing area of every male.

6 surprising things that are actually aging you

Wear sunscreen, don’t forget eye cream, avoid cigarettes: We all know the drill when it comes to feeling (and looking) our most youthful selves. But what if we told you that late-night binge-watching session wasn’t doing you any favors either? Here, six surprising things that are actually aging you (and what to do about them)

1. our Office Happy Hour
Of course, this won’t stop us from getting our groove on come 5 p.m. Friday.
But alcohol is a natural diuretic, and long-term dehydration can lower skin’s elasticity, thereby causing wrinkles.
But the bad news doesn’t stop there: According to a recent study from the Research Society on Alcoholism, drinking too many cocktails can also cause harm on the cellular level and lead to “age-related illnesses, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, and dementia.” (We’ll have a lemon water this time, thanks.)

2. Your Daily Commute

Nope, it’s not just the fact that the guy texting and driving from the car with the “MUSL BODY” license plate in front of you is making you pull your hair out.
Traffic-related pollution (think: the giant puffs of exhaust coming from the semi truck two cars up) can actually cause an increase in age spots, says a study from the Journal of Investigative Dermatology. Windows: rolled.

3. Your Job Stress

You have a huge report due tomorrow, your toilet decided to stop working this morning and your bank just called to say they noticed some weird activity on your card (maybe we will have that rum and coke after all).
Everyday stressors take a toll, but not just in the short run.
According to one Umeå University study, stress steroids released in the brain can accelerate the onset of Alzheimer’s Disease, while another study found that job-related stress can cause harmful changes to our DNA that are linked to a multitude of degenerative diseases.

4. Your Posture

We’ve told you some super-easy ways to improve it, but in case that wasn’t enough motivation, here’s some explanation for why you should sit up straighter.
Aside from giving you back and neck pain, poor posture can lead to a weakened spine and increased spinal curvature down the road.
Further, a study published last year from the University of Idaho found that older adults with better posture actually showed increased cognitive function, while those with worse posture had a more difficult time recalling memories.

5. Your Lack Of Sleep

We know, we know: House of Cards is calling your name, and you’re already aware not getting enough quality zzzs each night is linked to numerous health problems in the long run, from increased risk of heart disease to obesity.
But did you know that your rough nights could also make you appear older as well? According to one study from University Hospitals Case Medical Center, patients who defined themselves as poor sleepers showed increased skin-aging effects such as “fine lines, uneven pigmentation, and slackening of skin.” Well, looks like it’s our bedtime.

6. Your Devices

It’s not just wreaking havoc on your 10 p.m. bedtime goal (curse you, Instagram!). Y
our smartphone is also causing damage to your eyesight, says a University of Melbourne study that found links between long-term blue light exposure from screens and age-related macular degeneration.
Hey, we’re not saying you have to go off the grid from now on. But you might want to rethink cuddling up to your iPhone before bed every night.

There are supplements that can help bring back your youthful days and enable you to do all the things you use to do when you were in your late 20s.
It can also help fix the problem of Macular degeneration, heart disease to obesity, cognitive function and Alzheimer’s Disease etc.

Just imagine yourself waking up to have the body of a 28 years old lady when you are above 40! That could be you...
No woman wants to get old not even the young ones, and it is very possible to be forever young.

7 Ways to Boost Testosterone – Guaranteed

Testosterone is the dominant sex hormone in men.
It is responsible for the development of male sexual organs and secondary male sexual characteristics such as muscle growth and strength, and facial and body hair.

Levels of testosterone in the blood gradually elevate through puberty where they peak and remain high until about the age of 30 when levels will start to naturally decline (about 1% per year).

When levels of testosterone become abnormally low, a condition called hypogonadism is diagnosed.

In middle-aged men (say 45+) and older, low testosterone levels are often termed male menopause or “andropause.

The symptoms of low testosterone include erectile dysfunction, reduced sex drive, irritability, depressed mood, sleep disturbances, loss of concentration, diminished muscle mass and strength, and a general loss of interest in work and play.

And one recent study made a correlation between low testosterone and premature death in men.

The best natural testosterone booster is weight loss, says Scott Isaacs, M.D., medical director of Atlanta Endocrine Associates.

For more than 50 percent of people who have low testosterone, weight is a critical factor.
I have a lot of patients who can very often get their testosterone into the normal range by dropping pounds through diet and exercise.

These T-boosting tips can help you do that.

7 Things to Try Before Utilizing the Medical Approach

The good news is there are ways to increase testosterone without the hormone replacement and these steps should probably be tried before resorting to the medical approach:

1. Lose About 17 Pounds

A Massachusetts General Hospital study found that overweight middle-aged men who dropped about 17 pounds over the course of a year lowered their likelihood of having low T by 46 percent.

2.Sip Pomegranate

Study results presented at the U.K.’s Society for Endocrinology 2012 conference found that people who drank pure pomegranate juice daily for two weeks increased their salivary T levels by an average of 24 percent.

3.Lift More, Rest Less

Heavier weights, more volume (2 to 4 sets of 8 to 15 reps) and resting for less than two minutes between sets will kick your T up a notch, according to a 2012 study in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research.

4. Sleep Deeper

Like human growth hormone, testosterone seems to be linked to deep, restorative sleep. A 2011 study in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that just one week of sleep deprivation (five hours a night) drove T levels down 10 to 15 percent in healthy young men.

5. Clean Up Right

Some liquid soaps, body washes, and other personal care products contain the antimicrobial triclosan, which animal studies suggest can lower levels of testosterone. Also, avoid plastic food containers that have bisphenol A (BPA)–a known endocrine disruptor.

6. Take a Testosterone Supplement

consider supplementing with these nutrients to build your testosterone levels, drug-free:

*Zinc – necessary for testosterone production. Dietary zinc is mainly found in animal sources so vegans should consider supplementing. Non-Vegans would benefit from supplementation as well due to the depleted nature of the feeds that are used in the meat industry.

*Vitamin D3 – increases testosterone levels. Maintaining adequate levels is difficult without supplementation, especially in winter if you are outside Nigeria.

*L-arginine – an amino acid that helps the body eliminate estrogen. Contacts us to get all of these supplements they are 100% proven, tested and Natural, our contact is at the end of this article.

*Acetyl-L-Carnitine – increases testosterone production. Also promotes fat metabolism and muscle growth.

7. Reduce your stress

prayer, meditation, yoga, tai chi, or vigorous exercise. One or more of these will help to support testosterone levels as well as overall well-being if used regularly.

Obviously, the natural approach takes more thought, time and planning than rubbing a little cream on your thigh twice a day.
But, considering the potential negative side effects of replacement drugs and the overall health benefits brought on by taking the natural route; it may be worth the effort.

Note: If you want the supplement for extra strength locally called man-power, instead of going with Viagra which has negative side effects. Contact us for a natural and 100% organic supplement that gives you a lifetime experience and not a one-off thing...

7 Amazing Health Benefits of Saunas
HAVING A GOOD SWEAT IS BETTER FOR YOU THAN YOU EVER IMAGINED.
Saunas have long been known to have mystical healing properties, and in places like Scandinavia and Eastern Europe;

their popularity is so widespread that many people have them installed in their homes or backyards.

A brief history:
Saunas were once very popular all over Europe, but when plague spread in the 1500s;

its popularity died out everywhere except Finland (which was spared of these communicable diseases),

which is why the sauna is now so closely culturally associated with that country.

A traditional Finnish sauna is a small, wooden room, in which wood is burned for several hours,

and the smoke is released, leaving behind an arid, extreme heat that hovers between 160 and 220 degrees Fahrenheit.

One would sit in the sauna for no less than five but no more than thirty minutes,

sweating and occasionally throwing water from a bucket onto a pile of hot rocks to give off steam and a sense of increased temperature,

then emerge to either jump into an ice pool, rinse off with a cold shower, or, if you’re very traditional, jump into a mound of fresh snow.

While it may look a bit bizarre to an insider, the process is not only fun, but it has several incredible health benefits.

1. It Increases Blood Circulation
The study used 102 people in their 40s and 50s who did not have heart disease but did have risk factors for it,

such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol or obesity, and exposed them to a single Finnish sauna session.

They found that the just one session made an average participant’s blood pressure drop by seven points,

elasticized their arteries, and helped their heart rate go from 65 bpm to 81.

Dr. Joshua Liberman, a cardiologist, and governor of the American College of Cardiology’s Wisconsin;

said that the long-term cardiovascular benefits of frequent saunas sessions can be attributed to the way in which extreme heat in small doses causes the blood vessels to relax and blood flow to increase.

2. It’s Good for Your Heart
According to a new study from the University of Eastern Finland,

a 30-minute sauna session can have the same effects on your heart and blood vessels as moderate exercise,

which is why those who frequent the sauna tend to have lower blood pressure, an increased heart rate, and lower risk of heart disease.

The sweating, researcher Tanjaniina Laukkanen explained, has “a natural diuretic effect —

lowering blood pressure and decreasing the workload of the heart.”

3. It’s Relaxing

Anyone who’s ever stepped inside the sauna at their gym knows lying with your eyes closed in this warm,

the dry room can be extremely meditative, and that’s part of what makes it so therapeutic.

It helps that you can’t really bring electronics with you into the sauna as well,

allowing you to truly escape and unwind from the outside world.

4. It’s Good for Your Skin
The sauna can help “open up your pores and increase blood and lymphatic circulation, which will effectively aid in softening your skin.

“You will notice a healthy pink glow in your skin, which will make you look younger,

so not only will you feel good but you will also look rejuvenated.”

A single session can also get rid of blackheads, and flush out toxins, thereby leading to smooth, healthy skin.

5. It Can Help You Lose Weight
While it won’t make you burn fat, the sweating that you do in the sauna does help you lose a bit of water weight,

which will make you feel considerably lighter, especially after a weekend of heavy drinking.

6. It Keeps You Sharp
In a more surprising discovery, Laukkanen’s team found that sauna regulars had lower rates of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia,

thanks in large part to the fact that the sauna lowers your blood pressure.

“Both the heart and the brain need good blood vessel function,” Laukkanen said. And for more instant health fixes

7. It’s a Cultural Experience
Many different cultures have their own version of the sauna.

You’re probably already familiar with the Turkish Hamam, or steam room, in which

ambient steam is used to help open up the mucous membranes in the body, thereby helping you breathe.

In Korea, you’ve got the jjimjilbang, a segregated public bathhouse filled with hot tubs and kilns (thermally insulated chamber)

filled with jade, salt minerals, and other healing properties.

Russians have the banya, or bathhouse, which is similar to the Finnish sauna, apart from the fact that;

there is a wooden cauldron inside, with a ladle that you use to pour warm water over your body.

Commercial Russian “banyas” take a cue from Roman thermaes in that they consist of a complex that includes;

swimming pools, a wet sauna, a dry sauna, and even a restaurant, so that people may congregate and spend the entire day there.

Eating just This One Thing Daily; will Reduce Your Risk of Heart Disease

A new study published in the journal Heart has found that eating one egg every day;

can significantly reduce your risk of heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular diseases.

If you're worried about heart disease, there’s a lot that you can do to give your cardiovascular health a boost.

Cutting out smoking, even if it’s just one a day, is one of them.

Walking for just 40 minutes several times per week is another (especially for post-menopausal women).

Going to the sauna on a regular basis helps, as does eating the right food.

Now, a new study, published in the journal Heart, has found that eating one egg every day;

can significantly reduce your risk of heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular diseases.

While eggs have long been considered a staple in a healthy diet;

they’ve also gotten a bad reputation as of late due to their high cholesterol.

And previous research on the link between heart health and eggs have had relatively small sample sizes.

On the other hand, study, led by Canqing Yu, associate professor at Peking University School of Public Health in Beijing.

Analyzed the results of a whopping 416,213 Chinese adults between the ages of 30, 79 over the course of  9years.

A little over 13% of these participants said they ate an egg every day, while 9% abstained from them altogether.

The results found that the daily egg eaters had a 26% lower risk of hemorrhagic stroke,

a 28% lower risk of dying from this type of stroke,

and a 12% reduced risk of ischemic heart disease.

The study has its drawbacks, most notably that it’s purely observational;

therefore does not control for other factors that might have impacted the heart health of its participants.

Yu herself noted that translating the results to an American audience is complicated;

by the fact that the Chinese have a very different overall diet than ours.

Still, the results suggest that eating one egg a day, or slightly less, is beneficial to a healthy heart,

because they are packed with high-quality protein and other disease-fighting nutrients.

The American Heart Association (AHA) recommends eating one a day as well in order to get all of the benefits;

while limiting your daily cholesterol intake to 300 mg.

CONTINUED

Picking up from where we left off yesterday on HEALTHY AGING

Your Teeth and Gums Change

You might notice your gums seem to pull away from your teeth. Some medicines make your mouth feel drier. Dry mouth might put you at higher risk for tooth decay and infections.

Try this:
Each day, brush twice and floss once to get rid of food and plaque between your teeth. It’s the best way to help prevent infection. Also, see your dentist for regular checkups and cleanings.

Your Bones Become More Brittle

As early as your 40s and 50s, your bones begin to weaken. They become less dense and more brittle. This increases your risk of fracture.

You might even notice you seem to be shorter. In fact, beginning in your 40s, you might get shorter by 1 to 2 inches.
That happens when the disks in your spine shrink.

Your joints might feel stiffer.
That’s because your ligaments, the cords that bind your joints together, often become less elastic. As the tissues between your joints break down, you may develop arthritis.

Try this:

Make sure you get enough calcium and vitamin D. Good sources of calcium in your diet include dairy products, almonds, and vegetables such as broccoli and kale. Your doctor may also recommend calcium supplements.

Vitamin D is vital to bone health:
Some people are able to get enough of this nutrient by spending time in sunlight. You can also get it from tuna, sardines, egg yolks, and milk. Ask your doctor whether you need a supplement.

Going to the Bathroom:
You might find it harder to control your bladder. This is called “urinary incontinence.” It happens to an estimated 10% of people 65 or older.

Many of these people get a little leakage when they cough or sneeze, but some lose a large amount of pee before they can get to the bathroom. For women, menopause can be a factor. For our husbands, an enlarged prostate might be the issue.

You might also notice that you’re not as regular as you used to be. Some conditions, such as diabetes, can slow down your bowels.
Some medicines might make you constipated. These include diuretics, which help you pee, and iron supplements.

Try this:
If you get the urge to “go” a lot, see your doctor. In most cases, symptoms can be controlled or even cured.

Try to avoid caffeine, alcohol, sodas, and foods high in acid. These can make the condition worse.

Kegel exercises can tighten your pelvic floor muscles and may help with bladder control. Squeeze as if you’re holding your pee. Wait five seconds, then relax for five seconds. Do this four or five times in a row several times a day. Give us a call for a tested and proven solution, contact at the end of the post.

To avoid constipation, eat plenty of high-fiber foods such as fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Drink lots of water. Try to exercise every day. It can help get your bowels moving.

It’s Harder to Keep Your Weight Down
As we age, muscle turns to fat, and that burns fewer calories. So even when we eat fewer calories, we stay at our current weight.

Try this:
Get some moderate exercise every day, such as a brisk walk or lifting light weights. It will help you keep your weight steady. Check with your doctor to see how much activity is right for you. follow our other thread operation weigh less on naira land or give us a call or DM-contact info at the end of this article

Eat lots of fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins such as fish. Stay away from sugar and foods that are high in saturated fat. And eat smaller portions. You probably don’t need as many calories as you once did.

Your Sex Life Changes, Too
During menopause, a woman’s vaginal tissues become drier, thinner, and less elastic. It might make sex less pleasurable. Her breasts tend to lose muscle and might begin to sag. Contact us for a tested and proven natural solution to help you with these challenges... contact is at the end of this article.

Also as our husbands' age, their levels of the hormone testosterone go down. They make less sperm and may have a lower sex drive. They might also find it harder to get or keep an erection.

Try this: Talk to your health consultant or better still contact us. we can prescribe tested and proven natural solutions to ease physical symptoms and ramp up your desire for sex.

We can’t turn the clock backward. But with patience, care, and smart lifestyle changes, we can make the most of our bodies as we age.

Healthy Aging

What's Normal Aging?

You have a lot of say-so in how you feel as you grow older -- from your heart and eyes to your skin and bones.

You can enjoy a better body by knowing what’s natural as you age and what’s not and by learning simple steps you can try to delay or lessen the changes.

Your Heart Works Harder
As you get older, your blood vessels and arteries become stiffer. Your heart has to work harder to pump blood. This can lead to high blood pressure and other heart problems.

Try this: Stay active. Walk, run, swim -- even a little moderate exercise each day can help you stay at a good weight and keep your blood pressure down.

Eat lots of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains to keep your heart healthy. Manage stress. Get enough sleep. 7 to 8 hours of rest each night can help repair and heal your heart and blood vessels.

Your Skin Feels Different
You might notice that your skin feels drier and less supple than it once did. That’s because your skin makes less natural oil as you age.

Also, you sweat less, and you lose some of the fatty tissue just below the skin. This can make it seem thinner.

You may also notice wrinkles, age spots, and skin tags, or tiny growths of skin.

Try this: Hot water dries skin out, so take warm baths and showers.

Wear sunscreen and protective clothing when you’re outdoors. Check your skin often and tell your doctor if you notice changes, such as moles.

If you smoke, this is another good reason to try to stop. It can cause wrinkles.

You Find It Harder to See and Hear
You may find it hard to focus on objects up close. You might need reading glasses for the first time. Perhaps you see more glare or find it hard to adapt to abrupt changes of light.

When it comes to your hearing, you could have a hard time following conversations in a crowded room or hearing at high frequencies.

Try this: Get your vision and hearing checked regularly. Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes outdoors. Wear earplugs to protect against or block loud noises.

There are tested and proven supplements that can help to manage your health effectively as you age. But I can't share that on this platform because they did not pay for advert... smiley

Hi.

My name is Sandra Okocha, I am a Health and Wellness Consultant and a blogger.

Over the past 3 years, I have had quite a number of people, mostly women above 40, reach out to me with complaints that are more or less the same.
I have since concluded that a lot of women, especially above 40, suffer greatly because they were ignorant about the symptoms to look at for to help them overcome impending health challenges as the age.

Some others are already going through serious health challenges with absolutely no solution in sight.

I am starting this thread primarily for the above-stated class of women with a view to providing SOLUTIONS to health challenges, answering whatever questions you might have and providing a platform where experiences can be shared.

Mental health warning: THIS factor is linked to risk of early death in men

MENTAL health awareness has grown, but new data indicates that sufferers still have an increased risk of early death.

Mental health is the psychological and emotional wellbeing of a person and includes anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and post-natal depression.

Mental disorders: Nigeria ranks 30th most suicide-prone worldwide; yet health care systems keep failing citizens.
Depression, a UK-based Mental Health Foundation, said: “is a common mental disorder that causes people to experience depressed mood, loss of interest or pleasure, feelings of guilt or low self-worth, disturbed sleep or appetite, low energy, and poor concentration.”
It is “different from feeling down or sad,” it went on to say on its website, adding: “Unhappiness is something which everyone feels at one time or another, usually due to a particular cause.
A person experiencing depression will experience intense emotions of anxiety, hopelessness, negativity, and helplessness, and the feelings stay with them instead of going away.”

It is estimated one in four people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year.

New research has found that depression, one of the most common types of mental health, is strongly linked to a higher risk of early death.

According to a study published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal, there was a higher long-term risk of early death for both men and women with the condition.

“There is less stigma associated with depression, better treatments are available, but depression's link to mortality still persists," said Dr Stephen Gilman

They discovered that there was a link between depression and increased risk of death in men throughout all the decades.

Depression has been linked to poorer diet, lack of exercise, smoking and alcohol consumption.

But the researchers said this did not explain the increased risk of death in this case, suggesting that changes in modern society might be to blame.

There are tested and proven supplements that can help to manage mental issues such as depression, insomnia etc effectively. But I can't share that on this platform because they did not pay for advert... wink

Drink TEA to lose weight: Daily cup of TEA is the secret ingredient of fat-burning diet

A DAILY cup of tea changes the way the body breaks down fat and could help in shedding the pounds, say, researchers.

While the health benefits of green tea have long been known, nutrition experts now say English Breakfast tea is also good for us.

They found that drinking black tea changes bacteria in the gut. The percentage of bacteria associated with obesity decreased, while those associated with lean body mass increased.

Study co-author Dr. Zhaoping Li, from the University of California Los Angeles, said the findings suggest that the health benefits of both green tea and black tea go beyond their antioxidant benefits.

Hot to lose weight with a cup of tea from forever living-non medical home care

A lot of people who are overweight have or are at risk of developing hypertension and other cardiovascular problems, so the fact that Green Tea (Aloe Blossom Herbal Tea) does not put pressure on the heart makes it a good choice.

Health / Re: Operation Weigh Less by sandyo: 3:13pm On May 23, 2018
Operation Weigh Less is a weight management program thread for all nairalanders who wants to achieve that perfect body.

People come to the idea of weight loss management for a multitude of reasons.
There are fleeting reasons to manage weight, like swimsuit season, a wedding, or getting in shape to show off to your classmates at a high school reunion.

These short-term reasons can provide a sudden burst of motivation but rarely last long after the big event.
There are also social reasons, like trying to lose a few pounds because you are dating and you want to look attractive.
Some people want to slim down to please their partner.

However the motivation starts, anyone who wants to manage their weight over the long-term will have to find a reason that is important to them, not to someone else.

For many, improved health is one of the best motivators for a lifestyle change, and that is what this THREAD will focus on: the improved health benefits of weight loss, exercise, improved nutrition, and long-term weight management.

Weight management does not involve miracle pills or slim-down shakes. It takes work and commitment.
It also takes time. The weight you are trying to lose probably did not appear in a week, and it is definitely going to take more than a week to burn it off.

A healthy pace of weight loss is about 1-2 lbs per week.

Weight management isn't all that complicated, either. This THREAD (OPeration weigh less) will show that healthy eating is all about balance--consuming no more calories than you can burn in a day at your present activity level.
You don't have to buy pre-made foods, and you don't have to subscribe to a diet plan.
Some people get great results from participating in a support group like this one.

If you feel like it's something you can't afford, or if you feel like you would never have time to go to the meetings, or if you don't thrive on social interactions, then there is absolutely no reason to join one.

Long-term weight loss involves a complete lifestyle change.
It will be uncomfortable at several points in time, and some days it will seem easier to give up.
It is important to understand all the obstacles in the way of weight loss so that you can deal with all of them effectively.
Remember, you can't make long-term changes unless you take ownership of your roadblocks and conquer them.

Some common obstacles are:

o I don't have time to exercise.

o I don't like "healthy" food.

o I don't have time to eat healthily.

o I travel too much/eat at restaurants too much.

o I can't afford health food/gym membership.

o I can't do it alone.

o Genetics: My whole family is big.

o Bad examples set by others in your house

o Emotional eating

This THREAD (Operation weigh less) will look at each of these roadblocks and propose suggestions for overcoming them.
It will discuss the health risks of being overweight, the real economic costs of weight, assessing your current weight level, and establishing a goal weight.

It will also provide extensive information about nutrition and exercise for weight management.
This THREAD (Operation weigh less) will provide you with all the information you need to balance your weight over the long term.

But at the end of the day, you are the one who is going to have to make the change in your life. And once you do, so many other parts of your life will change right along with you.
More than likely, you will develop new interests and hobbies.
You will become more educated about your body, nutrition, and fitness.
You will probably meet new friends. Some may even find a new career or a new passion.
The whole journey is waiting for you, and the first step begins here.

Hi.

My name is Sandra Okocha, I am a Health, Wellness and Lifestyle Consultant and blogger.

One of the major problems the world is facing related to health is how a large number of people are gaining weight.

In the course of my journey as a health, wellness, and lifestyle consultant, I have been opportune to meet a lot of people with several weight-related issues and thankfully, I have been able to help a number of them achieve the desired result.

In the Process, I realized that the only problem in shedding the extra pounds is the lack of motivation.
While some people get motivated by themselves alone and some other people need a group or some people around them to pursue their goal of losing weight.

so, this is what brought about the birth this thread to help those group of people that need motivation from other weight losers like them to achieve their goal of that perfect body.

Please feel free to reach out to me either through this thread or privately via WhatsApp using 09083813724 or info@healthandbeauty102.com.

Seven things ALL men over 40 should know to stay healthy

continuing from where we stopped on the previous post

One condition that is important to check for particularly as you hit your 40s is Type 2 Diabetes

THREE: Watch that middle-aged middle

"One condition that is important to check for particularly as you hit your 40s", says Kate Taylor, Pharmacist at Lloyds Pharmacy, "is Type 2 Diabetes - which left untreated can lead to serious health problems. If identified early and correctly managed people can maintain a healthy lifestyle and in some cases even reverse the condition."

Kate points out one of the factors that put men at increased risk is a waist measurement of 37 inches or above – so keep an eye on that wine belly.

Losing just 4cm from your waist can help.

To find out how at risk you are going to LloydsPharmacy.com/healthcheck where you can also book a free appointment with your local Lloyds pharmacist.

FOUR: Get your head around mental health issues

A 2016 survey for the Men’s Health Forum found the majority of men said whereas they would take time off work to deal with a worrying physical symptom less than one in five would do the same over concerns about their mental health.

Over a third waited over two years to even confide in a friend or family member.

With the help of some high-profile men including Prince Harry (who has helped set up mental health charity Heads Together), Stephen Fry and Zayn Malik and initiatives like time to change the stigma around mental health appears to be changing as we are encouraged to be more open and supportive of the one in four men fighting a mental health condition.

FIVE: You can improve your fertility

Dr. Pixie McKenna, GP and Health & Well-being Ambassador for Superdrug, said: "Sperm counts are declining and lifestyle factors can compromise male reproductive health.

"Being overweight and having a poor diet, smoking, drinking, recreational drug use can have an impact on a man’s fertility as can any undiagnosed sexual infection. This can lead to problems as more and more couples are having babies later in life.

"To optimize your sperm count try to keep generally healthy. You could also take a sperm count test but do allow around four months after making relevant lifestyle changes to see improvements.

"Research also shows supplements that have L-Carnitine and selenium can have a positive impact on sperm quality.’(send DM to 09083813724 for the supplement)

POINT SIX: Bone up on bone health

It’s long been seen as a ‘women’s issue’ but Professor David Reid, Consultant Rheumatologist and Osteoporosis Specialist at 25 Harley Street explained that men over 50 who have had a fracture or have a family history of osteoporosis should consider having their bone density measured to assess their risk.

He told Express.co.uk: "If bone density is found to be low there are self-help measures men can take including stopping smoking, drinking less alcohol, getting enough calcium in their diet (a pint of milk rather than beer…) and keep vitamin D levels topped up by 20 minutes of daily exposure to sunlight or take a supplement."

POINT SEVEN: You can get fitter in 10 minutes

Celebrity personal trainer, Nicola Addison, at London’s EQVVS Training said: "No matter how unfit you are, there is always someone un-fitter! The hardest part is getting motivated to exercise.

"My advice starts by walking and walk every day. Build up from 10 minutes a day to three slots of 10 minutes daily to 30 continuous minutes.

"When you can do this comfortably, try incorporating more flexibility exercises like squats and the plank."

Seven things ALL men over 40 should know to stay healthy

Middle-aged men are twice as likely to have diabetes as women and four out of five suicides are male. Men are also more likely to drink heavily, smoke and be overweight.

ONE: Prevention is key

If you are aged between 40 and 74 you should be invited for a routine NHS Health Check every five years.

You should also talk to a health consultant or a health coach every now and then.

These checks not only measure your risk they also are there to offer advice on how to prevent problems.

They can pick up on early signs of conditions including heart disease, strokes, kidney disease and dementia – our risk of which all increase with age.

Once you have had your check-up a health professional will talk you through any treatments or lifestyle measures you should make.

TWO: You can eat yourself healthier

"Whilst no single food is going to reduce the risk of disease, there are five key ones that men should regularly include in their diet", says Rob Hobson Healthspan Head of Nutrition:

Salmon: Omega 3 fats in oily fish can help reduce the risk of heart disease, the leading cause of premature death in men in the UK. Factors affecting the risk of heart disease are also closely associated with erectile dysfunction.

Eat one or two servings a week or take a supplement as an alternative (send DM to 09083813724 for the supplement).

Steak: Lean beef steak is rich in zinc – a mineral which has many functions in the body such as the immune system, cell growth, and male fertility.

Zinc has also been associated with good prostate health.

A steak will provide you with most of your daily recommended intake of zinc.

Not for every day though - other sources include seeds, green vegetables, pulses, nuts, mushrooms, and shellfish.

Red peppers: These are one of the richest sources of vitamin C and also include lycopene (an antioxidant pigment that can help reduce cell damage).

Lycopene and vitamin C have been associated with good prostate health.

Include as one of your five a day.

THE ONLY SOLUTION AT MIDDLE AGE, IS LIFESTYLEYLE CHANGE
As we grow older, beginning from 40 years and above. There is nothing better than a total lifestyle change to preserve us and keep us healthy.

After 40 if you still want to keep living like a child, you might not make it past middle age.
If however such individuals make it while living like children, then they might suffer a lot of health problems as they age.

One of the first things someone over forty years should consider will be a life of moderation.

*Drink moderately

*eat healthily and wisely

*sleep enough and don't deprive yourself of sleep because of partying, hanging out and all such youthful desires and occupations.

Regular exercises should not be missed. Because at the age of forty and above the vital organs of a human being will need some aiding to function properly through exercising.

Any man who after 40 still consumes alcohol like a little boy and indulge freely in all the things he did at age 20 or 25, does not understand that the body is no more the same as it used to be.

Many deaths, stroke, erectile dysfunction issues, heart problems, etc, that occur amongst middle age people today, can be avoided if people of this age group will just embark on a lifestyle change.

I have seen friends, neighbors and relatives who like me are middle-agers but suffer like old men, die untimely, play with so much Viagra because of an erectile problem. This ought not to be, lifestyle change is the answer.

At middle age a lot of changes takes place in us, living is not as strong as we use to be before.
Therefore we can't put unnecessary pressures that only youthful bodies can take, on our aging bodies.

Eating time should be reduced to 7 pm because anything after 8 pm is poison to the system of a middle-aged person.

*Red meat should be substituted with white meat.

*Sugar,

*iced cold water

*Lots of salt should be avoided.

Instead Load up on high-fiber fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Your whole digestive system does slow as you age, so fiber is very important.
Consume fiber-rich foods such as:

*whole grains,

*fruit,

*vegetables
They will help you feel more energetic and give you fuel to keep going.

Regular check up on our blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, breast, prostate and so on will be very helpful.

Bless you, all fellow middle-agers, we have gotten to that stage when we don't think of every other person and leave ourselves unattended to, think of yourself more now, you need to stay well.

After the age of 50, one may experience many types of illnesses.
But the one I am most worried about is Alzheimer's. Not only would I not be able to look after myself, but it would cause a lot of inconvenience to family members.
