Topic: THE PROBLEM OF PLACENTAL BONDAGE
Text: Job 40:16

Today is a day of serious prayers. We are delving into the realm of mysterious problems. Very soon, the marathon prayer meeting to break placental bondage will start, but before it starts, right there where you are seated, I want you to listen to a short message so that you can understand why we are praying the prayers and also engage your spirit in that prayer and get testimonies out of it. It is always safe to overpray; underpraying is not good; not keeping quiet and allowing the enemy to overpower you.

Bow down your head on your seat and tell the Lord to open your understanding here today.

Job 40:16 (KJV) says: "Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly."

Our scripture describes almost three things at the same time. Describing:
- the placenta and the power it carries.
- the umbilical cord and the power it carries.
- your belly button and the power it carries.

The placenta is an organ that links the foetus to the mother and transfers oxygen and food to the foetus and waste products to the mother. In the last few years, a lot of things that many people do not understand have caged their destinies. The thing is this: there is no new devil. It is still the same old devil, but he is using our ignorance against us, and this is a great trouble.

What is the placenta? It is an organ that develops in pregnant women. It produces chemicals that maintain pregnancy and help regulate the baby's development. Minutes after the baby is born, the placenta separates from the womb. It is an organ that joins the baby to its mother. It is an organ that connects the baby to the mother. Although the placenta is a physical organ, many do not recognise its spiritual significance. It is also a spiritual pipeline. It has a spiritual counterpart. The enemy knows this very well, and the enemy has exploited the mystery of the placenta to divert multitudes of destinies.

Ignorance is indeed a terrible thing. Giving birth as a whole is a bloody business, and life is inside that blood. The placenta has very serious implications for a man's life. Blood from placental tissues, too, has very serious implications.

A lady doctor was still a virgin and could not get anybody to marry her at the age of 50 until she came across what I am sharing today, and God revealed to her that she should go and ask her parents what was done with her placenta when she was born.

She went to her parents and asked, "Mummy, what was done to my placenta when I was born?" And they said, "Ah. A witch doctor told us to hang it in the attic". So, at the age of 50, her placenta was still available but hanging in the attic. And as long as they had it there, her life was hanging. The majority of the people gathered here cannot tell us specifically what was done to their placenta. They cannot tell us what was done with it. The enemy has exploited this mystery to cause a lot of havoc.

===> I am praying for someone here today that every placental bondage that has kept you in a stagnant position and you do not even know about it, in the name which is above all names, Jesus Christ, the son of the living God, I command that bondage to be broken now! in the name of Jesus.

Some families preserve the placenta for consumption. They eat it. We have had a case like that here in MFM in 1993. And when it got to that situation, I sent that sister back to her grandmother to find out what was going wrong. She would get a good job, and in two months, she would be sacked. She had a first class, had a distinction, and was even getting requests to pursue a PhD. But she could not keep a job for longer than two months. So I asked her to go back to her grandmother to ask questions.

She did, and the grandmother said, "I am inside of you, and you are inside of me. So I control your life". The lady said, "I reject it in Jesus name!" The woman said, "You can say that. But when you were born, I collected your placenta, I cooked okro soup with it, and I ate everything. So I am inside of you, and you are inside of me."

Can you raise your right hand and shout:

===> Every unconscious bondage troubling my destiny, die! in the name of Jesus.

The Bible says "His strength is in his loins, his force is in the navel of his belly". There are situations where someone's placenta is converted into a waist band. There are cases where somebody's placenta was buried in a cursed land, and so the person became cursed. There are cases where some people's placentas were fed to crocodiles. There are cases where a placenta was poorly buried, and pigs dug it up and ate it. It affects people. It seriously affects people's lives.

There are cases where a person's placenta is buried and a tree is planted on it. What happens is this: whatever happens to that tree that is on top of that placenta is what happens to the person in real life. When the wind blows the tree, the person is blown. When leaves drop, the person drops in glory. There are 100s of people here tonight whose trees are planted on their placentas, and those trees determine the course of their destinies. What we are saying tonight may be very strange, which is why I need to explain it very well to you before we start praying.

Many years ago, a 72-year-old man came here for deliverance. That is why it is good to pray: "my Father, visit me in the morning of my life, not when it is setting. At the age of 72, I have never seen anybody like that old man with his photographic memory. At that age, if this man sat down in a meeting of about 40 people as a secretary and everybody talked, all he did was look at the face of each person while they talked and take note. Then, after the meeting, he would pick up his pen and begin to write down, word for word, what each person said. He would never forget. But in spite of that, he was as poor as a church rat with all that intelligence.

So he started deliverance at 72. When he was born, he was the only child of his parents, and the native doctor who was there said, "Ah! This boy. This boy. His glory is not in this country. His glory is outside this country. I see this boy controlling white men. That is where his destiny is". His parents were sad. Then they asked the native doctor, "Are you saying he will not live in Nigeria?" The native doctor replied, "Yes, because his destiny is not here. His destiny is with the white people. He is a great man who is going to have honour and respect." Then the parents said, "Native doctor, what do we do so that he does not leave Nigeria?"

The native doctor said, "Oh, you do not want him to leave? Okay, bring his placenta", and the parents handed the placenta over to the man who went to the lagoon somewhere in Lagos, tied a big stone to the placenta, and issued some incantations on the placenta, saying that as stone does not float in water and as the placenta sinks to the bottom, the man would never ever leave Nigeria. That is how his woes started. It was when he started deliverance that a letter that had invited him to Sweden ten years prior arrived. No one knew at what post office that letter had been. He received this letter at the age of 72. Now let me ask you a question: Do you want to be like this old man?

Then, in that case, when I say begin to pray, get ready to pray. The wrong handling of placentas is being used by the enemy to cause havoc. Beloveth, do you know that a placenta is the next best thing to a living person? It almost behaves like a human being. It is the only easily obtainable piece of human tissue that is not dead or diseased. It can actually be kept alive for 5 hours by scientists. This has a serious spiritual implication. When there is life, there is spirit.

You may say, "Mine was buried" or "Mine was thrown into the water, so what do I do?" If it was buried and you already have an enemy targeting you, the land demons are waiting for you there. If it was thrown into the water, the water spirits are waiting for you there. A tree was planted on top of it? Your destiny will be tied to that tree. It was thrown into the bush? The forest demons will be waiting for you there. It was flushed? The land and water spirits are waiting for you there.

The enemy has something called placental manipulation or placental witchcraft. Once your placenta is in the bank of the enemy, the legal backing for your harassment is already created. But thank God that the Bible says "Even the lawful captives shall be delivered and set free". Some throw the placenta into a dustbin, but it has not escaped from their hands. Some throw it into the gutter, but it has not escaped from their hands. Some forget it in the hospitals, and sometimes the hospitals later sell it off, but it is still not free.

Some grind it and use it for cosmetics, but it is still not free from their hands. Some eat it up, but it is still not free from their hands. Some throw it into the river, but it is still not free from their hands. Some surrender it to idols, and that one is even more terrible. Some feed it to animals. Some put cracks in the wall and put it in there. Some sundry it and keep it, but it is still not free from their hands. Some mix it with herbs for soup, but it is still not free from their hands. Some burn it to ashes and mix it with the mother's food, but it is still not free from their hands.

Some keep it in a bottle and then label it. Then, the day they are offended, they take the bottle containing the placenta and begin to issue curses on it. Some wrap it around sacred trees, but it is still not free from their hands. Some offer it as a sacrifice at crossroads, but it is still not free from their hands. Some use it directly as charm and fetish power, a kind of alternative to grinding babies, but it is still not free from their hands. Some cut it into pieces, cook it, and unconsciously serve it to their visitors, but it is still not free from their hands.

Some put it in a cauldron—a pot with salt and water—but it is still not free from their hands. Some bury it in a pot facing a specific direction, but it is still not free from their hands. Some plant coconut trees on top of it or palm trees, but it is still not free from their hands. These are ways in which the enemy gets at the foundation of people's lives and then causes plenty of confusion in their lives.

Evidence of Placental Bondage.
When there is placental bondage in operation, you will be dreaming of going back to where you were born, going back to the land of your birth, or going back to a location you are very familiar with in the spirit realm but physically are not familiar with.
- When someone is under this kind of bondage, there will be closed heavens. Things will not be working at all. If you are a lady, you begin to notice that you are living an identical life with your mother, but only the negative aspects of her life are manifesting in your life. It is evidence of placental bondage.

If everything you want to do is something your mother must always find out about, even if you do not tell her, there is a bondage.
- when somebody is using your glory to prosper.
- when it looks as if you are tied to a post like a goat and you have limitations. Making headway becomes very difficult.
- when you notice that your glory has been cleared away, you have lost your beauty and your glory. You are just staying alive, but you do not know what you are doing with your life. You do not have what they call "spiritual decorations"
- the enemy is gradually reducing you to a shameful skeleton of your glorious past and converting you to wood and stone.
- finances seize and then start. Storms will come, finances will seize, and things will start again. All of these are evidence of placental bondage.
- when the enemy converts the beauty of someone to ashes, it is evidence of placental bondage.

Are you here tonight, and:
- you are pressed down always in your sleep? You need to pray mercilessly tonight.
- You hear strange voices giving you evil commands? You need to aggressively pray tonight.
- you are always encountering dead persons in your dream? It is evidence of placental bondage.
- no matter the prayers you pray, eating in the dream or having sex in the dream do not stop? Placental bondage.
- you dream of being lost?
- You see yourself in strange meetings?
- animals pursue you?
- strange persons pursue you? You pray and pray and pray, but they do not want to let you go?
- you always see blood, and your pregnancy disappears, or you experience unexplainable powerlessness and backwardness? Placental bondage.
- you are always being injected with poison when you sleep? Placental bondage. I want you to understand that ignorance of this is not an excuse. The fact that you do not know is not an excuse. The enemy will still trouble you.
- you are always striving? You work hard to get to the position you want, but you never get there?
- you know that you are not a sick person, you know you do not like being sick, but there is this array of frequent sicknesses? You have a bondage to break.
- something is trying to kill you? You always have one accident after another, and you have dreams of death? You need to pray.
- you have this deep sense of shame, nervousness, fear, jumpiness, always feeling guilty, people always loading the sins of others on you, and severe anxiety? All these happen when you are under placental bondage.

So the way your placenta was disposed of speaks a lot about the cause of your destiny.

What To Do!
1. Surrender your life to Jesus.
2. Bring quality repentance to the Lord. You cannot pray the kind of prayers we want to pray if you are still living in known sin.
3. Locate the placenta by the Holy Spirit.
4. Bind and cast out every inherited spirit of bondage.
5. Withdraw and destroy the placenta.
6. Recover your lost blessings.

The safest way to dispose a placenta is to collect it, dry it up, anoint it, burn it completely to ashes, and throw it away where the enemy cannot gather it again to torment you. Any other method you use, the enemy will be waiting for you there. Tonight is a night of great deliverance.

(Power Against Womb Contamination)
1. Every contamination from my mother's womb be cleansed by the blood of Jesus!
2. Every bewitchment in my blood, die! in the name of Jesus.
3. (Raise up your two hands to the Lord.) Blood of Jesus, sanitise my blood! Sanitise my womb! in the name of Jesus.

(Power Against Antenatal Care.)
1. Bondage in my life, problem in my life, that came from the womb of my mother, die! in the name of Jesus.
2. Occultic men and women, using the destiny of unborn children to prolong their lives, die! in the name of Jesus.
3. All wombs that have been tied down or under any witchcraft control, right now: receive deliverance! in the name of Jesus.

(Power Against Destiny Stagnancy (Isaiah 58:6))
1. Where is that power that is not looking at my age but is now stagnating my destiny? Wherever you are, whoever you are, die! in the name of Jesus.
2. Boasting powers that have vowed they will meet me where they left me, wherever you are, whoever you are, die! in the name of Jesus.
3. Right hand of the Lord, move me from the back and take me to the front! in the name of Jesus.

(Power Against Evil Protection.)
1. Yoke of satanic fortification, upon my life, die! in the name of Jesus.
2. Every investment of darkness in my life be wasted by fire! in the name of Jesus.
3. Thou power of the name of the Lord, overshadow my life now! in the name of Jesus.

Doing the Greatest Work on Earth

“Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father. And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.” John 14:12–14

How is it that we are called to do greater works than the works that Jesus Himself did? Of course, it’s true. This is our calling. We know that, because this is what our Lord promised us. This truth should fill us with gratitude for being used so powerfully by God.

Among the “greater” works of which Jesus speaks is, first and foremost, the sharing of the Gospel to the ends of the earth. As Jesus walked the earth, His mission was primarily to the people of Israel. But when He ascended to Heaven and sent the Holy Spirit upon the Church, He also empowered all who would receive the Holy Spirit to share the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Thus, the conversion of hearts is the greatest work that we can cooperate with.

Do you want to do great things? Most children dream of doing so because this desire is written upon our human nature. We want to make a difference. We want to be great. But too often we become confused about true greatness. We attempt to fulfill that innate desire through acts of worldly and passing greatness. We seek recognition, wealth, and other passing rewards that stem from selfish ambitions. None of these ultimately fulfill us, even if we were to achieve them to the greatest extent. for example, imagine if you won the Nobel Peace Prize, or became the leader of a nation, or became the wealthiest person alive. Would the attainment of one of these goals fulfill you? Only if it were the will of God. If not, it would be an empty and meaningless act.

Begin by looking within. Do you see the desire within you to do great things? Hopefully you do. From there, remind yourself that the greatest thing you can do, so as to fulfill the desire within you, is to do that which is the will of God for your life. Jesus says, “If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.” Asking in Jesus’ name means asking for the fulfillment of His will. It means asking that God use you to bring His saving grace to others any way He chooses. If you ask our Lord for this grace, He will grant it.

This form of prayer requires humility and a complete detachment from our own will. It requires that we ask the Father only for that which the son asks the Father for us. But the reward of such a humble prayer is that God will bestow His grace and mercy on others through us. This is His perfect will.

Reflect, today, upon this high calling. Do so by looking at the desire within your own soul for greatness and then unite that desire with God’s will as the only thing that can fulfill you. pray for this gift every day with humility and detachment and you will become an instrument of acts that give eternal glory to God. In Heaven, this will be your eternal joy.

Providential Lord, Your will is perfect and glorious. Please help me to humble myself before You, every day, so that I will understand Your will for my life and choose it always. May I be an instrument of Your saving grace to all whom You wish to touch through me. Jesus, I trust in You.

The next day he decided to go to Galilee, and he found Philip. And Jesus said to him, “Follow me.” Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the town of Andrew and Peter. Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one about whom Moses wrote in the law, and also the prophets, Jesus, son of Joseph, from Nazareth.” But Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come from Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.” ~John 1:43–46

In the sixth century, Pope Pelagius I traveled to Constantinople and brought the relics of the Apostles Philip and James back to Rome, placing them in what is today called the Church of the Holy Apostles. It is for this reason that we honor these two Apostles together with one feast.

Saint Philip was one of the Twelve Apostles. He was most likely a follower of Saint John the Baptist and was aware of John pointing to Jesus as the Messiah. Philip might have been a brother to Simon Peter and Andrew, making him a fisherman by trade. The day after Simon and Andrew were invited to follow Jesus, Jesus encountered Philip and said, “Follow me” (John 1:43). Philip obeyed. He was from the town of Bethsaida, just north of the Sea of Galilee. Philip’s first act of evangelization was to tell his friend, Nathanael, that they had found the Messiah. Nathanael was reluctant at first, stating to Philip, “​​Can anything good come from Nazareth?” Philip’s response was ideal. He said to his friend, “Come and see” (John 1: 46). When Nathanael came and saw, he immediately professed his faith in Jesus as the Messiah, the son of God. Early Church theologians believe that Philip followed our Lord from that time forward, witnessing Jesus’ first miracle at Cana.

When Jesus established the Twelve, Philip was among them. He is mentioned in John’s Gospel during the feeding of the 5,000 when Jesus sees the large crowd and then turns to Philip and says, “Where can we buy enough food for them to eat?” (John 6:6). Philip is also mentioned in connection with Greek-speaking Gentiles who want to see Jesus (see John 12:21), possibly indicating that Philip could speak Greek and was known to the Greek community. At the Last Supper, as Jesus was speaking about the Father, Philip said to him, “Master, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us”, to which Jesus gently responded, “Have I been with you for so long a time and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father” (John 14:8–14).

After Pentecost, little is known about Philip’s missionary activity. Ancient traditions state he preached in Greece, Phrygia, and Syria, being martyred at an old age in Hierapolis, Phrygia, modern-day southwest Turkey, not far from Ephesus where Saint Paul established a church. Philip is believed to have died either by being crucified upside down or by beheading.

Saint James is also one of the Twelve. The traditional view, from as early as the second century, is that there are only two disciples of Christ in the New Testament with the name James. Some modern scholars identify three or more. If we stick with the traditional view, which was also held by Saint Jerome in the fourth century, then the two Jameses are James the son of Zebedee and James the Less (also referred to as James the brother of the Lord, and James the son of Alphaeus). Later authors call him James the Just. If James the Less is also the James who is the Lord’s brother, then James’ father was Alphaeus and his mother was Mary of Clopas, the sister of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This would make James the nephew of the Blessed Virgin and a first cousin to Jesus. He is referred to as Jesus’ “brother” because it was common at that time to refer to cousins and other relatives as brothers and sisters. In Mark’s Gospel, Levi (better known as Matthew) is also referred to as the son of Alphaeus (Mark 2:14) which could make James and Matthew brothers.

In his letter to the Corinthians, Saint Paul relates that the Lord appeared to James after His Resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:7). After Pentecost, James became the first bishop of the Church in Jerusalem. The Acts of the Apostles relates that it was James, as the head of the Jerusalem Church, who oversaw the First Council of Jerusalem and declared the final judgment on behalf of Peter (see Acts 15). Eusebius, a fourth-century bishop, writes that James spent long hours in the Temple of Jerusalem: “…he was in the habit of entering alone into the temple, and was frequently found upon his knees begging forgiveness for the people, so that his knees became hard like those of a camel.” Eusebius also wrote about James’ martyrdom, “…he was thrown from the pinnacle of the temple, and was beaten to death with a club.” Traditionally, the New Testament letter of James is believed to have been written by James the Less, although modern scholars question this fact. That letter was a general letter, most likely sent to all of the Jewish Christian communities. It begins, “James, a slave of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes in the dispersion, greetings” (James 1:1). The letter then goes on to give encouragement in trials and persecutions, exhortations and warnings, and concludes by speaking of the power of prayer.

What we know for certain about these two disciples is that they were among the Twelve Apostles. They were uniquely chosen by the Savior to continue His divine mission of evangelizing the world. They embraced their ministry heroically, establishing communities of believers, preaching the Gospel, offering the sacraments, performing miracles, and governing the early Church. Allow the apostolic zeal and the courageous martyrdom of these apostles to inspire you today with the same zeal and courage, so that God can also send you forth on mission.

Saints Philip and James, you were both highly blessed to be companions of the Lord Jesus, listening to Him preach, witnessing His miracles, and receiving from Him a commission to continue His work. Please pray for me, that I will also come to know our Lord and Savior through prayer and the Holy Scriptures, so that I will be prepared for the mission that God has for me. Saints Philip and James, pray for me. Jesus, I trust in You.

Do You Not Know Me?

Philip said to Jesus, “Master, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you for so long a time and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?” John 14:8–9

Today’s liturgical feast is in honor of two of the Apostles, Philip and James the Lesser. Little is known about James other than that he was chosen by our Lord for the apostolic ministry and that we have one of his letters, which is contained in the New Testament. James eventually went to Jerusalem and led the Church for a few decades until he was stoned to death as a martyr. Philip preached in Greece, Phrygia and Syria. He and Saint Bartholomew were thought to have been crucified upside down. Philip preached upside down from the cross until his death.

In the Gospel for today’s Mass, we are presented with an encounter that Philip had with Jesus. Though this encounter appears to be a rebuke of Philip by Jesus, it’s a rebuke that is quite heartfelt. Jesus says, “Have I been with you for so long a time and you still do not know me, Philip?” Jesus did, indeed, spend much time with His disciples. They stayed together, ate together, traveled together and spent much time talking with each other. Therefore, Jesus’ comments to Philip emanated from His real and lived personal relationship with Philip.

Take the first part of that statement to begin with. “Have I been with you so long…” Imagine Jesus saying this to you. Is this something He would be able to say to you? Is it true that you do spend much time with Him? Do you spend time reading the Gospels, speaking to Him from the depths of your heart, conversing with Him, praying to Him and listening to His gentle voice?

But Jesus goes on: “…and you still do not know me…?” This is a humble truth that is important to admit. It is true that even those who have a very deep and transforming life of prayer do not know our Lord deeply enough. There is no limit to the transformation that can take place in our lives when we know Jesus personally.

Jesus’ statement goes on: “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.” So the next question is this: “Do you know the Father?” Do you know the Father’s love, His care for you, His perfect will? Though the Father and the son are united as one God, They are still distinct Persons, and we must, therefore, work to establish a relationship of love with each one of them.

As initially mentioned, the comments from Jesus are a gentle rebuke of love to Philip, and He wants to speak this same gentle rebuke to you. But it’s a rebuke of love meant to encourage you to get to know Him better. It’s an invitation to personalize your relationship with Jesus and the Father in a real and concrete way. Do you know Him? Do you know the son of God? Do you know the Father in Heaven?

Reflect, today, upon these loving questions of our Lord as if they were spoken to you. Let His words encourage you to get to know Him more deeply. pray for your relationship to become more personal and transforming. And as you get to know our Lord more intimately, know that it is also the Father in Heaven Whom you are getting to know.

my divine and personal Lord, it is the deepest desire of Your Sacred Heart to know me and to love me. Fill my heart with this same desire so that I will not only know You, dear Lord, but also the Father in Heaven. Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your perfect love and pray that I may open myself to that love more fully each and every day. Saints Philip and James, pray for me. Jesus, I trust in You.

Becoming a disciple of Jesus is a personal decision that involves a commitment to follow Jesus Christ and his teachings. The goal is to become a copy of Jesus in the world! Here are some steps to get started:

Now when Arius and his fellows made these assertions, and shamelessly avowed them, we being assembled with the Bishops of Egypt and Libya, nearly a hundred in number, anathematized both them and their followers. But Eusebius and his fellows admitted them to communion, being desirous to mingle falsehood with the truth, and impiety with piety. But they will not be able to do so, for the truth must prevail; neither is there any communion of light with darkness, nor any concord of Christ with Belial. ~Saint Athanasius

Can something be 100% black and 100% white at the same time? Certainly not. It was logic similar to this that created a fierce controversy known as Arianism in the fourth-century Church. Among the greatest opponents of Arianism was Saint Athanasius, whom we honor today.

Arius was a priest from Alexandria, modern-day Egypt. The belief that Jesus was 100% human and 100% divine seemed logically incompatible to him. As a result, Arius taught that the Father created the son, making the son subordinate to the Father and neither co-eternal nor co-equal with Him. The debate would finally be resolved at a Church council in Nicaea, called by the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great. The answer came by way of the formulation of the Nicene Creed, which we continue to profess as a Church today. The Nicene Creed got it right, and today’s saint made sure of it.

Little is known about the early life of Saint Athanasius, but much is known about his unwavering leadership, courage, and depth of faith, due to the voluminous writings he left behind. One story relates that when Athanasius was only a child, he and two friends were playing on the beach when the Bishop of Alexandria noticed them. The bishop observed that young Athanasius was pretending to baptize the other boys, in imitation of the bishop himself. After examining Athanasius’ faith and understanding of the sacrament, the bishop declared that Athanasius’ baptisms of the other boys were truly valid. The bishop then took Athanasius under his wing and saw to it that he received the best education the flourishing Christian city of Alexandria could offer him. He became an excellent student and especially immersed himself in the Holy Scriptures.

At that time, Alexandria was an important trade center, with a mixture of Greek and Roman culture. The faith was strong and the city’s schools were renowned. What came out of Alexandria affected the entire Church. In 311, the Bishop of Alexandria was martyred in one of the final Roman persecutions of the faith. In 313, the Emperor Constantine issued the Edict of Milan, legalizing the practice of the Christian faith. Upon completing his education, Athanasius was ordained a deacon in Alexandria. As a deacon, his knowledge of Scripture would especially be made known through his first great work, On the Incarnation of the Word, in which he powerfully articulates that Jesus is the divine and eternal Word of the Father.

With the legalization of Christianity and the end of external persecutions of the Church, a new attack on the Church began—this time from within. Around the year 318, Arius, a priest in a wealthy parish in Alexandria, pronounced from the pulpit that his bishop was a heretic. He promoted his belief that the son of God was subordinate to the Father, did not share in His divinity, and was, therefore, neither eternal nor co-eternal. The Bishop of Alexandria worked hard to reconcile Arius but to no avail. In 321 a synod of nearly 100 bishops was held in Alexandria, and they rejected the teachings of Arius. Arius subsequently rejected the bishops and fled to Palestine where he continued to spread his errors. With Christianity legal throughout the empire, Arius went on a preaching campaign, even going so far as to compose short hymns he taught the people with words such as, “there was a time when He was not…” Eventually, the Emperor Constantine heard about the controversy and wanted it resolved.

In 325, Constantine called the first ecumenical Church council in the city of Nicaea, near Constantinople, with the cooperation of Pope Sylvester. As the bishops gathered from across the empire, many of them bore the physical marks of persecution by the Roman emperors that had endured throughout their lives. Now, they faced a new enemy, one which sought to deny the divinity of Christ. At the council, Arius was given the freedom to make his case within the hearing of all. The Bishop of Alexandria also made his case. Later testimony also states that Deacon Athanasius was one of the clearest and most convincing voices in support of the divinity of Christ, basing his arguments upon his work On the Incarnation of the Word of God. Of the more than 300 bishops in attendance, only two refused to support the position articulated by the Bishop of Alexandria and Deacon Athanasius. A creed was formulated to clearly and concisely articulate the pure faith of the Church: the Nicene Creed. Those two bishops who refused to accept it, along with Arius, were exiled. Shortly after the council, the Bishop of Alexandria died and thirty-year-old Athanasius was chosen as his successor, to the delight of all of the people.

One might think that the Council of Nicaea, with its issuance of the Nicene Creed, would have ended the troubles, but it did not. Soon after, the exiled bishops who supported Arius gained the support of the Emperor Constantine and convinced him to exile Bishop Athanasius from Alexandria. This was the first of five exiles Bishop Athanasius would endure from four different Roman emperors. In fact, seventeen of his forty-eight years as Bishop of Alexandria were spent in exile.

Romans 8:28 states, “We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.” This Scripture was certainly fulfilled in the life of Saint Athanasius. During his five exiles, he wrote over fifty letters that have survived, numerous works on the faith, and the first detailed biography of a saint, Saint Anthony of the Desert. His book on Saint Anthony was based on his firsthand knowledge of the life of this desert monk. It is believed that Athanasius spent at least a year with Anthony prior to Anthony’s death, and then spent five or six more years with the community of desert monks Anthony had helped to form. Athanasius’ knowledge of this unique vocation, as well as his participation in it, provided the early Church with a powerful witness of the vocation of solitude and prayer. His book became one of the most copied books of that time and remains very popular today. There is little doubt that that work alone contributed greatly to an understanding of the contemplative life not only of desert monks, but also for religious, clergy, and laity. Additionally, Athanasius’ other works not only eventually led to the complete repudiation of the Arian heresy, but have provided theologians since that time with treasured insights into the faith, especially into the Incarnation and divinity of Christ.

As we honor this great Doctor of the Church, ponder especially his unwavering devotion to the truth, despite enduring lifelong persecution for it. It would have been easier for him to remain silent, but he did not. If you find yourself compromising your faith at times, take inspiration from Saint Athanasius and seek his intercession today.

Saint Athanasius, your faith, knowledge of the truth, and unwavering commitment to the proclamation of the truth resulted in much suffering in your life. However, God used that suffering and your courage to purify the Church and to set Her on a glorious path. Please pray for me, that I will imitate your faith and courage in my own life so that God can use me to leave a lasting legacy for those whom I am called to love and serve. Saint Athanasius, pray for me. Jesus, I trust in You.

I left religion because Nigerian Christians are pieces of shit and they will never Be sincere with themselves and 2, the Bible and Quran are obviously a folkflores.

Firstly, I was dedicated Christian since childbirth until adulthood, I was a choir member, the best tenor backup singer and I even play keyboard and drums. I was working and doing well and donating money to church but the moment I started having issues, the church was no where to be found. I realized that they were only interested in money, money and money. I was at home for 1 year without no job, it was this time I started reading the Bible by myself and I realized a lot of inconsistencies in that book.

Forward, religious People are shit. They always want to tell you how to live your life but their own life is hypocritical. I have a family here in Lagos, they are very religious, they cannot make any single decision in their lives without consulting a pastor but their last born is into internet fraud, the eldest is a pastor at redeem church but they ar covering the boy because he's bringing money to the house. Their second son who's my friend always tells me about how they pray that God should bless because he's now the bride winner of the family. I'm not even religious but I know that internet fraud is stealing but this religious family is shielding their yahoo yahoo brother and glorifying him.

A pastor on my street, his son is also hitting big doing internet fraud. The boy is building a house now in his father's compound but his father is shielding him because he's bringing money.

Not just these people, many people that I know are religious and they are into fraud and even pray that their God bless their hustle.

The Ordinary Path to the Extraordinary

Jesus came to his native place and taught the people in their synagogue. They were astonished and said, “Where did this man get such wisdom and mighty deeds? Is he not the carpenter’s son?” Matthew 13:54–55

On December 8, 2020, Pope Francis announced the beginning of the universal celebration of the “Year of Saint Joseph.” He introduced this year with an Apostolic Letter entitled “With a Father’s Heart.” In the introduction to that letter, the Holy Father said, “Each of us can discover in Joseph—the man who goes unnoticed, a daily, discreet and hidden presence—an intercessor, a support and a guide in times of trouble.”

The Gospel above, taken from the readings for this memorial, point to the fact that Jesus was “the carpenter’s son.” Joseph was a worker. He worked with his hands as a carpenter so as to provide for the daily needs of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the son of God. He provided them with a home, with food and with the other daily necessities of life. Joseph also protected them both by following the various messages of the angel of God who spoke to him in his dreams. Joseph fulfilled his duties in life in a quiet and hidden way, serving in his role as father, spouse and worker.

Though Joseph is universally recognized and honored today within our Church and even as a prominent historical world figure, during his lifetime he would have been a man who was largely unnoticed. He would have been seen as an ordinary man doing his ordinary duty. But in many ways, that is what makes Saint Joseph an ideal man to imitate and a source of inspiration. Very few people are called to serve others in the spotlight. Very few people are publicly praised for their day-to-day duties. Parents, especially, are often greatly unappreciated. for that reason, the life of Saint Joseph, this humble and hidden life lived out in Nazareth, provides most people with inspiration for their own daily lives.

If your life is somewhat monotonous, hidden, unappreciated by the masses, tedious and even boring at times, then look to Saint Joseph for inspiration. Today’s memorial especially honors Joseph as a man who worked. And his work was quite ordinary. But holiness is especially found in the ordinary parts of our daily lives. Choosing to serve, day in and day out, with little or no earthly accolades, is a service of love, an imitation of the life of Saint Joseph and a source of your own holiness in life. Do not underestimate the importance of serving in these and other ordinary and hidden ways.

Reflect, today, upon the ordinary and “unremarkable” daily life of Saint Joseph. If you find that your life is similar to what he would have experienced as a worker, a spouse and a father, then rejoice in that fact. Rejoice in the fact that you are also called to a life of extraordinary holiness through the ordinary duties of daily life. Do them well. Do them with love. And do them by the inspiration of Saint Joseph and his spouse, the Blessed Virgin Mary who would have shared in this ordinary day-to-day life. Know that what you do each and every day, when it is done out of love and service of others, is the surest path to holiness of life for you.

my Jesus, son of the carpenter, I thank You for the gift and inspiration of Your earthly father, Saint Joseph. I thank You for his ordinary life lived with great love and responsibility. Help me to imitate his life by fulfilling my daily duties of work and service well. May I recognize in the life of Saint Joseph, an ideal model for my own holiness of life. Saint Joseph the Worker, pray for us. Jesus, I trust in You.

A 400-level student of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, LAUTECH, Oyo state, Oluwatobi Ogunmola, who was declared missing, has been found dead, IGBERETV reports.

Ogunmola, a student of Physics Department of the institution who was declared missing during the week was said to also be a mobile phone technician and solar system consultant.

A credible source in the campus told newsmen that Ogunmola's body was found dead hanging in a bush at Gambari in Ogbomoso, in the Surulere Local Government area of the state.

A Facebook friend of the late Ogunmola, Adeleke Abel Ayoade, took to his Facebook page to mourn the deceased and console the deceased's family.

Abel wrote;

"In time like this, we sympathize with the family of Mrs Ogunmola Taiwo on the death of his son who was found dead today. The death came as a shock to everyone expecially the People of Gambari in Ogbomoso Oyo State. Ogunmola Oluwatobi Damilex was a 400 level student of Ladoke Akintola University. Very calm and reserved Brother. We pray to God to console the family and Rest the soul of the deceased."

A black Lamborghini stopped right in front of her and the front glass went down

“You need a ride?” the driver asked and she nodded

“Yeah, waiting for a taxi,” she replied impatiently

“You have got one,” he replied, a light smile on his face

Without wasting a second, Danica opened the front door and hurried in, he looked at her but she was staring at her wristwatch

Danica stared at the black guy in front of her before taking her gaze to his attorney

“What is your offer?” she asked in a low voice

“Drop the charges and he will plead guilty,” the male lawyer said

Danica smirked, she took in her lower lips and looked down, raising her head she stared at the guy

“You raped 28 women, murdered 5, injured 2 and you’re not even feeling remorseful about what you did to them,” she said staring directly into his eyes

The guy scoffed

“So what? They were all wĥõrës,” he replied rudely

“Or because they were all women, you overpowered them and used them as you wanted, would you do the same with your fellow men?” she asked and his attorney quickly looked at her

“Are you taking the deal or not?” he asked instantly

“He goes 120 years in prison……” the guy didn’t let her finish

“What?” he yelled

“or life in prison but trust me your prison inmates are gonna make you feel what those women felt, you’re @ss is gonna testify of my words,” she said leaning close to him

He chuckled and leaned closer too, Alex who was behind her went closer

“Watch your back cos you might be my next victim,” he said with a dangerous smirk on his face

“No, you’ve got to watch yours cos we have the worst cult so far, you have boys but we have men, the only cult that never quilts no matter what, I dare you to try the FBI,” Alex said pulling Danica back she locked eyes with the guy, sending deadly glares to each other

Danica walked out of the interrogation office with Alex by her side, they have been friends since childhood and there were three of them, Danica, Alex, and Joy

She looked around and looked at the door again, PRESIDENT was Boldly written on it

“Are they two presidents in this company?” she wondered, placing her hand on the door she pushed it open and there she saw Nathan Fůçƙïṅg a Ɓîtçh on his office desk

Her jaw dropped and the phone in her hand shattered on the floor, he quickly pulled away from the lady and stared at her

“Danica, you said you were coming in two 2 hours but this is just 17 minutes so what are you doing here? Why didn’t you tell me before coming?” he asked shocked to see her

She didn’t know when tears escaped from her eyes, shifting back a little and Nathan put on his trousers

“Danica I can explain, you know our wedding is tomorrow, forget what you saw let’s get back and do the wedding, remember my family has spent so much on this wedding and the whole world is gonna watch it, I can explain…..” she didn’t let him finish his statement before running in tears

She was heartbroken

In other words, the combination of anointing and sinfulness will produce a casualty while anointing with purity will produce great and long lasting results.

for example, Abraham’s anointing was that of prosperity (Genesis 22:17-18) and it was transgenerational because he trained his children in the way of the Lord (Genesis 18:19). Abraham became great, his son became very great and his grandson Jacob became exceedingly great. His great-grandson Joseph picked up the anointing and God used him mightily as well.

Christians need anointing to execute their respective divine assignments. You may have heard the story of two people who sang Psalm 23 – one a professional singer who sang beautifully and everybody clapped, the other, an old man who sang the same Psalm 23 and had everyone on their knees, worshipping God. One sang professionally, the other with anointing and their results were different. So if you are a chorister, you definitely need anointing. Psalm 24:3-4 tells us the kind of people who can stand in God’s presence; so ushers also clearly need anointing. Prayer warriors need anointing because Romans 8:26 says we pray with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Our Lord Jesus was anointed with the Holy Ghost before He started off His ministry (Acts 10:38). If the Lord did not perform a single miracle until the Holy Spirit came upon Him, surely you need anointing too.

A “Holy Fear”

“Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the Flesh of the son of Man and drink his Blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my Flesh and drinks my Blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. for my Flesh is true food, and my Blood is true drink.” John 6:53–55

On a philosophical level, it’s useful to consider various things that appear to be “competing forces.” Good appears to be the opposite of evil. Light the opposite of dark. Heat the opposite of cold. And life the opposite of death. But are they truly opposites in the sense of being competing forces? When considered carefully, it is clear that good and evil, light and dark, heat and cold, and life and death are not actually “competing forces;” rather, evil is simply the absence of good, darkness the absence of light, cold the absence of heat, and death the loss of life. And though this philosophical distinction may not seem that interesting to some, and confusing to others, it is a helpful truth to ponder in light of today’s Gospel.

Today’s Gospel tells us that failure to “eat the Flesh of the son of Man and drink his Blood” results in death. Death is the loss of life, and the Eucharist is the source of life. Jesus says that if you fail to eat His Flesh and drink His Blood, “you do not have life within you.”

This bold teaching of Jesus should cause us to stop and examine our approach to the Most Holy Eucharist. Sometimes we can fall into the trap of thinking that going to Mass and receiving Communion is something we do as a “favor” to our Lord. But in truth, it’s God’s most profound favor to us, because the Eucharist is the gateway to eternal life. And without it, we have no life within us. Our spirits die because we lose the presence of God.

Looking at the negative effect of not receiving the Most Holy Eucharist can be very useful. Sometimes we need to consider the consequences of our actions as a way of motivating us to greater fidelity. for that reason, considering the fact that failure to eat the Flesh of the son of God results in death should be very motivating. It should fill us with a holy fear of the loss of the life-giving presence of God within us. This “holy fear” is a true gift from God and is, in fact, one of the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Reflect, today, upon your interior attitude toward the Most Holy Eucharist. Do you see your participation in the Holy Mass more as a favor you offer to our Lord? Or do you see it as it is: the life-giving source of eternal life? Reflect upon how important this precious gift truly is and recommit yourself to a faithful and devout participation in this most holy Gift.

my Eucharistic Lord, Your Flesh and Blood are truly the source of eternal life for all who receive You in faith. I thank You, dear Lord, for this most precious Gift of the Most Holy Eucharist, and I pray that I will be filled with a deep hunger and thirst for You always. Jesus, I trust in You

The Unreached People's Group.

It was my first missionary journey and whilst out on evangelism to one of the unreached communities, I had an encounter that had stuck with me to date.

As we reached, as usual, I was with an interpreter since I didn't have a grip on the local language.

We encountered a lady who was about to prepare lunch for her family and engaged her.

And as my custom is when sharing my faith, I asked if she knew who Jesus is, and her response came back as a NO.

I didn't think the interpreter communicated my message correctly, so, I urged him to ask her again, this time stressing the name of Jesus.

And he did and the response was the same.

Only that this time, she beckoned that we should tell her who Jesus is. And we did. Praise God!

That encounter remains one of the high points of my missionary journeys-- as it made a mess of my sunesis.

"How is it even possible that there's someone who hasn't heard about Jesus?" I kept asking myself as we made our way back to our mission base.

Maybe you are in that boat where you are wondering or probably asking if there are truly people who haven't been reached with the gospel -- People who have never heard of the name Jesus or His finished works on the cross. ( Rom 10:14)

Well, let me help with responding with an emphatic YES to your quest! There are.

Fascinating indeed, especially in a world where some of us have unrestricted access to hearing about Him, which has birthed some of the encounters we enjoy.

Even worse is the fact that as these people die before the Gospel gets to them, they head off to a Christ-less eternity. No second chance.

Yeah! All this happening whilst we keep crying to God for one breakthrough after another, so we can live big on a earth that would soon pass away.

Now, the question becomes:

What will you do with this information?

Cry? pray? Fast? Give?

The truth is:

All these are great, but until it is with a dire commitment to be a part of the GOing, it isn't amounting to much.

Remember, Jesus didn't give us a substitute for GO-ing.

The Bible reckons that the laborers are few and that we should pray that God should send men to GO into the harvest field. ( Mathew 9:35-38)

The thing is:

Do we see ourselves as the people Jesus commissioned into the harvest field?

When we pray that God should raise people to GO for missions and don't create time to be a part of GOing ourselves, are we truly sincere?

Hmmm...we have to realize this:

No mission comes out of convenience. Those who are part of it, are making huge sacrifices for the faith they hold dear.

Besides, when we pray that others should be sent into the mission fields, are we suggesting that some people have all the time in the world, or are called to sleep on cement floors or open lawns?

Are we insinuating that some have a special anointing to tame the bloodthirsty mosquitoes in these regions?

Ha! Now I get:

We are praying for those who have been gifted or imparted with missionary stomachs to eat concoctions or drink cholera waters to arise and embrace their calling.

Can I emphasize?

The command to GO didn't exempt anyone from GOing.

I believe that if it becomes our genuine heart's desire to truly GO, God will place it in our hands. (Philippians 4:13)

As we plan and look forward to having vacations in Hawaii, Maldives, or even Dubai, it's important to know that planning toward GOing for missions is also possible.

It isn't less. It is more. It is the real deal. Give towards missions but also plan to be a part of it. Don't let anyone cheat you.

Let's plan to be a partaker of the sufferings of Christ. Let's not just sing that we love Him with our mouths. Let's show Him that we do by planning to GO with our legs, too.

If our ministry is rift of world evangelization, then we risk delaying the return of Christ.

If the unreached people's group is where God's heart is, seeing that He wants all men saved, that's where ours should be as well.

I'm sure that as we begin to make going for missions our hearts cry, by asking God to send us, not just others-- but us; God will begin to create opportunities for us to be His outstretched arm and legs to these unreached communities.

He would make a way for us to GO, indeed.

WHY I CONVERTED FROM ISLAM TO CHRISTIANITY.

I converted from Islam to Christianity simply because Islam gives no guarantee of salvation.

Because Islam recognises that Jesus is 'the word of God' so God "the Messiah" therefore the savior ( Surah 3 v 45).

Because Allah recognises in the Qur'an that those who follow Jesus Christ (Christians) will be above those who do not follow Jesus Christ ( Muslims and others) until resurrection ( surah 3 v 55).

Because Qur'an itself recognises that Jesus Christ is without sin (pure) (surah 19 v 19), while the Qur'an asks Mohammed to pray for the forgiveness of his sins ( surah 40 v 55).

Unlike Mohammed, Jesus has lived more than 33 years without ever sinning.

I converted because where Mohammed recommends the killing of enemies, (surah 9 v 5) Jesus Christ recommends loving them (Matthew 5 v 44).

Mohammed just affirmed, but Jesus Christ confirmed his words with all kinds of miracles and resurrection of his death.

I converted because Mohammed is asking the Muslims to turn to Christians to get the truth (surah 10 v 94).

I converted because despite Mohammed's claim to be the seal of the prophets, he is dead and will never return, but Jesus Christ whom I hated before, died and resurrected and will come back to fight the Antichrist (even according to Islam).

I converted because despite Jesus Christ being surrounded by several women, he did not seek to have s*x with them unlike Mohammed who even had sex with Zaynab the wife of his son Zaid, (surah 33 v 37).

And also because up till this day, the name Jesus delivers all kinds of captives, unlike the name of Mohammed! Because Mohammed recognises that he doesn't know where he and the Muslims will be after death (surah 46 v 9).

I converted because Mohammed says all Muslims will go through hell (surah 19 v 71) while Jesus Christ gives eternal life to all those who come to him (heaven) John 3 v 17.

I converted because Jesus never attacked someone to take something from him, while Mohammed claims war booty (surah 8 v 1).

I converted because the birth of Jesus Christ changed the whole world and not just a community, and many more reasons!

So my brother my sister, only Jesus Christ saves. He is the way, truth and life. When I was a Muslim, I believed in everything we were taught about the Christians and the Bible and today that I became a Christian and read the Bible, I realise that what we were told is all wrong.

Jesus was never a Muslim, he is the savior of the world and He loves you and wants to save you. Give your heart to him.

I, an Ex-Muslim

The President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Monday, returned to the country after holidaying in Paris, France, for 34 days.

Tinubu who was accompanied by his wife, Remi and son, Seyi, arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at 4.40 pm to a rousing welcome by All Progressives Congress governors, National Assembly leaders and scores of party loyalists.

The ex-Lagos State governor departed the country on March 21, a few weeks after he was declared the winner of the presidential election.

According to a statement by his media aide, Tunde Rahman, the trip would enable Tinubu to rest and plan his transition programme ahead of his inauguration on May 29.

Rahman added that the President-elect would also head to Saudi Arabia from Europe to partake in the Lesser Hajj and Ramadan fasting period.

Weeks after his departure, there were speculations that he was admitted to a hospital in France for an undisclosed ailment.

But addressing the mammoth crowd which thronged his Asokoro home, the president-elect debunked the rumour that he was rushed abroad for treatment, saying he was strong after his vacation.

Dressed in a flowing blue agbada, Tinubu was received at the airport by the Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima; House of Representatives Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila; Governors Simon Lalong (Plateau); Abubakar Sani-Bello (Niger) and former Borno State Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff.

Others were former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole; ex-Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; APC Deputy National Chairman for North, Senator Abubakar Kyari; Deputy National Chairman for South, Emma Enekwu, and National Woman Leader, Dr Betta Edu.

There were also a considerable number of Senators such as Barau Jibril, Adeola Yayi, Opeyemi Bamidele, Dayo Adeyeye, Sabi Abdullahi and Adelere Oriolowo as well as the Director of Media and Publicity in the recently-dissolved Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga.

Other loyalists at the airport included a former APC governorship aspirant in Ondo state, Chief Olusola Oke; former PCC member, Dr Ene Ogbole, and veteran actor, Zack Orji.

Prior to his arrival, Tinubu’s campaign office in the Central Business District was a beehive of activities on Monday morning as hundreds of party faithful rushed to get accredited in preparation for his arrival.

Party loyalists

As the accreditation of supporters and journalists commenced at about noon, stern-looking operatives were seen manning the entry and exit point of the campaign office.

Addressing the tumultuous crowd who followed him home from the airport, Tinubu urged them to ignore the speculations making the rounds in the last month that he was rushed abroad over alleged ill-health.

According to him, he left the country on March 21 for a vacation after a hectic campaign and election season.

He said, “I am happy to be back. I have rested, I’m refreshed and I’m ready for the task ahead. Forget about what the rumour mill may have told you. I’m strong, very strong.”

He also reassured that while in Paris, he never stopped working as he was ‘consulting and planning’ in order to put together a strong team so he could hit the ground running once he assumed office on May 29.

The former governor also teased his supporters and party loyalists, saying, “Allow me some rest, to eat Amala and sleep. Work will commence tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, a close ally of the president-elect and the Secretary of the defunct APC Presidential Campaign Council, James Faleke, disclosed that the former Lagos governor spent more of his time consulting with stakeholders.

He stated that the majority of the party faithful were excited to see him.

Continuing, the lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives disclosed that the campaign team lost a number of undisclosed supporters.

He said, “We are excited about his arrival. As you can see, everybody wanted to go to the airport to receive him. Why? Because there was a restriction at the presidential lounge. But those who had access to the place were at least happy to see him looking very refreshed and ready to actualize the ‘Renewed Hope’ campaign slogan.

“for me, I think that the president-elect had time to think over all the issues that we raised during the campaign and all the issues that are germane to Nigerians for the survival of this country.

“We give God the glory that he has come back to meet all of us. In between (when he travelled and returned), we lost some people and we pray that God will accept their souls.

“Remember that Asiwaju said that he has yet to finish consulting with the people. You know that he’s a man of consultation. Before the primaries, he consulted. Before the election, he repeated the same thing and he is still willing to consult. You know, nobody can fault Asiwaju when it comes to consultation.

“He’s not going to start telling you that I am consulting Mr this and that. I’m sure while he was there resting, he was also making consultations on issues and things that are before him that he wants to execute. I think that we should just wait until after May 29 to see how this agenda will roll out.”

In a related development, the Senior Special Assistant to the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) on National Social Investment Programme, Ismaeel Ahmed, has berated critics speculating about the ill-health of the president-elect.

Famous singer, David Adeleke, aka Davido, was attacked by a yet-to-be-identified man while performing on stage at his Timeless concert in Lagos on Sunday.

DAILY POST reported that the Omo Baba Olowo crooner threw a homecoming concert at Tafawa Belewa Square to celebrate his record-breaking fourth studio album, ‘Timeless’.

Midway into the concert, the singer was attacked by an aggressive attendee who forced his way through the mammoth crowd to the stage.

In a video making the rounds on social media, the attacker could be seen pointing at the singer, who appeared ready to defend himself.

Fortunately, the security acted swiftly and bundled the attacker off-stage.

The concert continued after the incident.

The Timeless concert is Davido’s first concert since losing his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, in a swimming pool accident last year.

The concert had his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, in attendance.
