lol sebod. na true sha, its been a rough storm. I'm having a feeling we might meet madrid or sevilla, cos uefa wnt allow a possibility of
3 spanish teams in the Semi's.

Btwn, congrats cules! Well deserved, Chelsea played well but weren't too lucky. Unto the next one.
I am okay with Madrid or Sevilla really, but, you and I know Madrid can't be drawn against a tough team, at least, not for now.

Chelsea played well, but I knew they couldn't try the nonsense they did in the 1st leg at the Camp. I knew they would wanna come out and attack which would be their undoing.

If those wilian's shots entered your net, you would have known that busquets lacks that ability to shield his defenders well as a defensive midfielder.

I am not engaging you over what Busi did right or not. I am only reminding you of how those you once rated have fared thereafter. You wouldn't want Kante to follow suit.

anyways YES I would welcome him.

no need stressing yourself asking further on why as that is not the crux of the matter.

Why hating on Man Utd when YOU accuse others of same thing. Mourinho hater
I don't hate United, why should I? I only don't like a manager who plays ati-football, has no respect for other coaches, blames everything and everyone safe himself when results don't go his way, e.t.c
I am sure you know there are even United fans who don't like Mou at all and want him leave the club.

These sevilla boys are just useless. They should have decided this match tonight but can't just make their chances count. They have themselves to blame when they are eventually eliminated.

Nihilist is just wasting his time, once ibime dislikes a player/person, he gets blamed even for an error committed by a keeper grin

Fab might be slow, lethargic and lazy, but was definitely not to be blamed for that goal. Azpi, with all his experience shouldn't have gone for a slide with a very skilful iniesta heading his way after Chris has made a woeful error already.

I actually missed Neymar yesterday seeing as Kante was always on Messi with at least three players behind him to provide cover in case Messi goes past him. Neyboi would have ensured guys were drawn to himself while freeing Messi to wreck havoc.

Rakitic's 1st foul that earned him a yellow card was very tactical and he should be applauded for that. Other fouls committed were needless and deserves stick.

I was hoping EV would take him off, while Pauulinho would move directly behind Messi and Suarez as he did nothing of note trying to cover up for Roberto at the flank, then Vidal would have come in to stretch Chelsea's defence to the wing where he can whip crosses into the box.
Then take off Roberto who obviously was very shaky in the second half, bring in Dembele to distract the Chelsea defence by limiting their focus on Messi while Vidal reverts to the RB.

Iniesta should be highly praised for that goal. Any other player with no sense of skill could have collided with Azpi and have his leg broken. The don showed while he's still cherished even at that age.

I'd rather we go with 4-3-3 in the return leg for obvious reasons. The 4-4-2 deployed yesterday only ensured midfield dominance with little or no penetration. 4-3-3 would stretch them even to the flanks and provide enough room to operate through.

Well said... Honestly.

But you know the problem with this post of yours? It's that when it really matters, the aforementioned teams tend to disappoint especially at a stage as this.

Meanwhile, aa per the Liverpool vs City game. I would disagree about the Stones thingy. Yeah, Stones was horrible in that first goal, but admittedly, he wasn't the reason Liverpool scored the 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Infact, if not for them missing sitters, then it would have been over at HT. Not to undermine City though cause I always said if they had a minute added to time alloted to them by the ref after the 90mins, they would have drew the match. Just that, Madrid surely knows how to take advantage of certain lapses like those of City's.

Anyway, it remains to be seen what will happen here-from, but then, Madrid might just get a Liverpool or a City in the next stage. Let's just watch and see.

I agree with you here.

If City can take the game to Madrid the way they did against us in the return leg then it will be a total tug of war.
Let's just relax and see how things pan out from here. The first step is to get the job done come next week. Hopefully our boys will do us proud.

Despite appearances,I'm actually a very good coach o..Really though I agree with most of what you typed up there,City are actually Challengers mainly because of Pepito but they have their Weakness too..Mainly have your attackers running at their center backs, their center backs are very very vulnerable..We saw Liverpool expose that to perfection..Overall though point is anyone can beat anyone and we won't have a clearer picture until the Semis..I'm just certain Madrid won't retain the title again

This is just the truth, anyone can beat anyone.

As much as it would be wise to give credit to other teams in terms of how they could match Madrid, it should also be known over the years they've all failed. Yea, Man City are hot, but they are vulnerable at the back. I watch their games and if a team has enough attacking fire power, they would have it hot, and little wonder their game against Liverpool was a goal fest as Liverpool has the necessary firepower to trouble them at the back.

Now imagine an attack like Madrid's against City's shaky backline... It's gonna be suicidal. Liverpool? As much as one has to give them credit for their attacking intent, playing against Madrid would be a not-too-good experience for them. Yes, they would score eachother, but their back line would definitely be more vulnerable to conceding than Madrid's. What Tottenham did in the group stage they can't repeat against Madrid. Madrid would almost beat them home and away at this juncture. Even the likes of Bayern are a piece of cake.

I reiterate, only Barça have what it takes to take down Madrid. The rest will only try, but they'll fail woefully.

I beg to disagree sir!

City lost to Liverpool because of Stone's error and the injury to Delp which led to the introduction of Danilo. The pairing of Otamendi and Laporte would definitely fare better. That said, Madrid's defence is known to be conceding goals here and there even against the farmers of this world. With KDB in the midfield coupled with the attacking foray of City, they will kill whatever confidence left in Madrid. If there's any team I wish to avoid, that's City. Pep has instilled his style in them. They would press you like mad when off the ball and pass life out of you when on the ball.

Blame Emry and his boys for PSG loss. You can't expect much from a coach that bottled a 5-goal advantage over his rival. Even a team of Barca fans captained by dmcdad and coached by jonsnow92 can't surrender such a lead.

As regards Liverpool, I also believe they stand a chance of knocking out Madrid. Their attacking firepower is better than that of Madrid. CR7 adds nothing to the attack other than....... you and I know that Benzema is a deadwood in attack already. their defence too is nothing better than that of Pool. The strength, ability and agility of Salah, Mane and Firminho would be too much for Madrid to handle.

I can't also write of Spurs at this moment, if they could do it in the group stage, they can do it all over again. There's nothing special about this Madrid team. PSG can only blame themselves for their woes.

My point? Any sound attack minded team with a solid midfield and a decent defence will knock Madrid out in a balanced match devoid of referees one-sided favouritism. Their defence is porous while their attack is not really great.

Just seeing this now. . .

Sincere apologies from the depth of my heart if my rebuttal rubbed you off the wrong way. It's just that since the Sanchez saga ended in our favor, the kind of posts I've read from Pep's fans got me feeling some type of way.

Concerning the criticisms of Pep. I think you've got to get used to it. It comes with the territory. It's the price Pep and other coaches + players must pay for being famous. Every coach or at least most coaches will tell you they've felt bad with the kind of criticisms they've been subjected to.

Wenger has been facing barrage of criticisms, good or bad, fair or unfair, from virtually everybody. Even Arsenal's ex-players have called for his sack. Celebrity fan like Piers Morgan want him out. He gets abused monthly on Arsenal FanTV.

Klopp nko? He's always under pressure. You see the likes of Carragher and Gary on his case, condemning his players, his choice of goalkeepers etc.

Mourinho's own is like everyday greeting.

What about Conte? If you feel Pep gets the worst criticism then you must have not heard about Conte complaining that media is biased towards him.

Papers must sell. Pundits must write. Analysts must scrutinise every move. They get paid that way. It's the source of their incomes. Fans must discuss and dissect their decisions. It's something that's been happening before I was born, it will never stop. It's not different from what Trump or Buhari faces every day of their regins. And even after their tenure, they'd still be talked about. So, long after Pep is gone, he'll still be talked about, his positives, praised; his negatives, laid to bare. Just get used to it.
No problem bro!

I actually got all your points and they are correct. My concern was just about seeing more of City/Pep on United thread than actual United news. I guess we just have to live with it as you have said.
