Travel / Passport Entry And Exit Stamp by Segunrusell: 4:34pm On Sep 07, 2020
Hello Fam, please i traveled to ghana before lock down started in march and i was there till July when some people hinted me there is way to get back to nigeria, i followed the route back home as i was spending lots of money, now the issue is that my passport was not stamped as it was a back door thing, I am planning to apply for Schengen visa next month, i will like to know if the issue of not stamping my passport back into the country will be a hindrance. I will appreciate responses so i dont ruin my chances of getting the visa. Thank you all

saydfact:

Estimated Figures (Note: I didn't add for waste - it is important to add a little for waste)

Wall Plate (3by4) = 20 pcs
Tie-beam (2by6) = 50 pcs
Kingpost (2by6) = 30 pcs
Rafter (2by4) = 90 pcs
Struct (2by4) = 280 pcs
Purlins (2by3) = 420 pcs (because of the roof covering intended for use)
Ceiling Hangers (2by2) = 220 pcs
Facial Board 1by12 = 0 (because it shows concrete facial)

SUMMARY:

3 by 4 = 20 pcs

2by 6 = 80 pcs

2by4 = 370 pcs

2by3 = 420 pcs

2by2 = 220 pcs

Nail = 1 bag 4 inches, 1 bag 3 inches, 1 bag 2 inches (I DIDNT CALCULATE, I'M JUST SUGGESTING grin grin )

Oja Agba = 3 - 4 dozens

FINAL NOTE: This are my quick estimates, might not be exact numbers needed because I didn't consider wastage..

GOODLUCK
thanks for your contribution. I’m glad you came through

Go this way.
Ask him to buy real 2x2 (50mmx50mm) not the so called (“solo” size in the mkt) it’s not good for roofing work. Although the price is btw 300-320.

More so cost of logistic is much if you are buying the wood from itamaga area their in Ikorodu. (Bargain btw 18-22k max)

Workmanship around 120-140k max”

Thank you sir. I really appreciate your comment.

Oh that is good to hear sir, your power of negotiation is very necessary while negotiating with any body that submitted quotation.
More so the cheapest price doesn’t mean good work oo.
Ask the person to show you his previous work or to take your brother there to see . (That is if the said person is nearby).
I will do as you have said. Thank you for the input and at the same time can you pls help vet the quotation a little? I’ll appreciate sir

It's a bit higher, tell the engineer to reconsider his quote a bit from materials to workmanship which is believe is the Carpenter charges only.

I normally use previous projects done to evaluate future project management and approaches. By area the building isn't as big as the estimate should take. I know how much I used for this building I did for a Nairalander here

My opinion though.
thank you so much for the response, my uncle actually said the same thing but this engineer is always doing this to us. Inflating everything and telling us it’s not easy to work from upper floor that if it is a bungalow it’s different case entirely. How much is good for the workmanship. I’m thinking of telling him 120 or max 130k

Evening guys, I heard something now so I want to confirm.

Is it true that carpenters have law that say the person that did the lintel work must do the roofing woodwork, unless then new person will pay a certain charge to the old person?
I will love to hear the end of this story. Inputs please..

Pls someone should start the thread on twitter ASAP. It’s becoming part and parcel of this embassy to collect visa fee and dump passports somewhere. This is not good.
Properties / Re: The Importance Of The Red Copy Of A Survey Plan by Segunrusell: 1:42pm On Nov 20, 2019
Pls all, I have a situation I’m trying to handle, my brother bought a land and did the survey normal, the family said they will do meeting so that they can sign the family deed since April, my brother paid for all necessary payment and schnapps which was requested. Ever since then the man has been running up and down bringing all sort of stories when we ask for the deed. We have roofed the house now but we don’t have the deed. Pls check what can we do because my bro said he doesn’t want to fight the man. Can you pls suggest any possible solution to this please? I will appreciate your help
