Warning:
Which ever language you choose, you going to find alot of material out that might confuse you.

Mind you learning a programming language is not enough but your ability to use the language you have learn to solve everyday program is what makes it fun and brings money.

Language of choice
You can pick any language that best suit you depending on what you want from the language. If you have no particular language in mind I did recommend PYTHON it's simple to learn yet powerful.
Most programming language all share the same building block so the concept your would learn in the first language would still be useful should you decide to switch language.

Avoid programming purgatory
You are going to see alot of tutorials online and if care is not taken all you would find yourself doing is moving from one tutorial to another.

Learn by building projects
You might not start by building the next facebook. But by the third week of learning you should be able to build little project like how to add two numbers. As you progress and gain more knowledge you build bigger projects.

Lastly programming can be challenging you are going to get discourage at some point. Yes it does happen to every programmer particularly when your program is not giving you the expected output. Don't quit Google is always your friend.

Very good points!

PPR rain today, congratulations guys.

I guess Percee17 has helped debunk the rumour that intensive travel history affects accelerated processing. grin

CIC is unpredictable guys, let's just pray for favor over our applications.

You said my mind. My AOR is July 13, family of 4 with 5countries travelled. I have 2 ADR already and only Medical Passed. Before Percee17's timeline was shared, I had erroneously thought my application is slow because of family size and travel history. I now know it's case by case. Woww, less than 30days! May mine not delay too much too. This waiting game is killing.

Gurus help please. I just got an additional document request for my spouse (I am the primary applicant). Please see the snapshot below:

What exactly are they asking for? Here is my confusion:

1. The header says "Proof of travel history" : I interprete this to mean the marked pages on intl passports but these were uploaded before submission. Though, her first (old and expired sef) passport that had one of her travel history to one country got lost a while ago and an LOE was attached to the application stating this and the police report and affidavit were scanned and uploaded.

2. There is a link to form IMM5562E as shown in the snapshot shared. When I opened it, it is supplementary travel history form and I filled all these for wife in the eAPR application before submitting. I dont have problem filling it again but I dont think this is a Proof as clearly written on the letters header

Please advice. Should I just fill the form and send or I should still add the scanned passport pages that are marked (including the affidavit that i earlier attached with the eAPR application before submitting in the first place?

AOR July13.

Please how true is this? A friend said the principal applicant must stay with the dependents in Canada for 4years as PR for the dependents (accompanying family members i.e spouse and children) to be eligible to apply for citizenship. In other words, if the primary applicant does not stay in Canada for up to 4 years as PR, his spouse and children will not qualify to apply for citizenship on their own. Please gurus shuk mouth.
Business / Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by sehawale: 7:58pm On Jun 30, 2017

Hello house.

I have about 3m that I want to put to use, and Uber/Taxify seems to be a good investment for now. The only experience I have with Uber & Taxify is from chatting with the drivers I rode with, so I need help with some questions:

1. Which brand & model of car is best in terms of initial cost/rider preference/ease of driving/spare parts/maintenance/resale value? Toyota/Kia/Hyundai/Honda?

2. If I'm to go for Toyota Corolla for example, should I go for an 09/10 model for 2.5m - 3m or two 03/04 models for 1.3m - 1.6m each? Whichever car(s) I'm buying, it will be direct tokunbo NOT Nigerian used.

3. If I go the rental route, what additional spending should I be realistically expected to do over the course of a year in terms of maintenance and repairs? How do I keep these costs down?

4. I have never seen a prospective driver that said they were bad and terrible, but we keep hearing stories of bad drivers... So where/how do I get good drivers?

5. What items should be included in the driver-owner contract to make sure both parties are properly covered?

6. Should I register with Uber & Taxify on behalf of the drivers, or should I just have an agreement with the drivers and they do the registration and the rest by themselves?

7. Last but not the least.... where will the car be parked? Or will I just have moto and never see it again? cheesy cheesy

My aim for this is to recoup my purchase costs within a year and then immediately sell it off, so this is very simply an investment.

I know I'm asking for much, if you can't answer please ignore. Also if you can't answer here on this thread, please ignore as well.

Thanks in advance.

Buy the minimum required car year model. That way you save money. If you buy 2017 model, you'll still make same money with a 2005 car.

If they require Schedule A for your spouse, you will be contacted. I don't know if you are the P.A. If your spouse is P.A, better to submit to avoid delay. If it is you, you can proceed without submitting, you may not be asked. If it is necessary you will be contacted.

I'm the PA. I planned to upload Shedule A for spouse. We have lost enough time already waiting on my FBI PCC. In fact, I plan submitting eAPR with PCC LOE once it's two days before last day for eAPR submission because I think FBI PCC won't still by then. It will be just about 8 weeks since my application was received by then.

Hi All....
Please i have a few questions. I have just a few days about 5days left to submit my application as i just got my FBI PCC. However in going through my application to ensure no problem,I realized i have to change the noc code for 2 of my experiences as a different noc code fits better...changing from 1311 to 1431. The noc code that now fits better is under category C.
1) Can i change the noc codes
2) These jobs are not under my primary occupation, so will changing them to an noc code under category C affect my application?
3) I realized that for the work experience i intended to use as my primary occupation, i have only 12months (not up to 365 days) of experience noc 1112 category A but realized it has to be over 365days to be counted as a year. I intend to change the primary occupation to noc 1221 category B for which i have 2years in part time. Pls can i change this?
4) Do i go ahead with all the above or just create a new profile and hopefully expect to receive a new ITA in the next draw. My CRS was 456

Congrats on receiving FBI PCC finally. Please how long did it take you to get it? I see 8 to 10 weeks processing time on their website? Did you get it earlier than that?

My understanding is that you provide a single LOE stating clearly (per supporting docs section that needs explanation for instance) all you need to explain. This is what I did. I am somewhat convinced that is why only one upload button is provided for the LOE. However, some say they upload an LOE for each section alongside the document.

Just to mention also, a friend of mine uploaded just one LOE for different things he had to explain. He got the PPR in April.

Yes it is a separate document you need to draft which you will then upload. However, it is not mandatory except you have a need to explain something about your application. Some prepare it as a proper formal letter. Mine was not exactly formal as I did not address it to anyone. Key thing is having a clear explanation of what you need to explain.

I also hear signature is not mandatory. Some say it is a preferred option.

Please what about merging an LOE to the required documents for upload for each document (where applicant thinks LOE is needed)? For example, if I want to attach LOE for POF, will it not make it easier for the VO if applicant just merges the LOE for POF to the POF got from bank rather than uploading that LOE at the additional docs part? Please if you have done the former and successful, comment pls.

3.I they ask the management the reasion why?....May be a competitor has come to the market with a reduced price.

WHO PROTEST HELP!!!

Good thoughts but this protest will cause awareness that will help prospective uber drivers decide whether to join uber or not. Uber works on "Soldier go, soldier come mentality". So if the present unhappy set decide to boycott uber without the protest/awareness campaign, new unsuspecting drivers would come in and the cycle continues like that. Uber's revenue won't be too affected and they won't see need to self-regulate. Uber is feeding fat on our ignorance and large unemployed population in Nigeria. So let them protest so everyone will know it's not profitable to partner with uber. At least no new maga will join uber after this awareness.

Hi All, Good day and Happy Friday!!! I do have a question to which all advise will be highly appreciated. In getting all docs ready (received ITA 3wks ago but stalling due to fbi pcc) and reading through recent comments, i realized some said i can take out my spouse work history and move to personal history, i however do need clarification. I see that i only got points for my hubby's ielts but no points for education (as I claimed no evaluation) and no points for work. However the entire funds for the trip is in my hubby's acct though i have access. We tried changing it to a joint account but not possible so we decided he will move it to me and give me a gift deed....
1) With this situation, can i still take out his work history and put in personal history so we don't need to get reference
2) Do we need to explain the source of his funds?
3) Would i need his bank statement or not
4) I have a current acct n savings acct in gtb, an acct in stanchart, one in stanbic and a biz acct in Diamond. I also have a foreign acct. Off all these, the only acct with tangible funds (over 500k) is the biz account. Do i need to include all the statement for these accounts.
5) Do we need to include daughter's (she is less than a year old) bank statement too as i am the signatory because i read somewhere that all bank statements are required undecided
6) Do landed properties count as pof
7) I am currently self employed running prof devt training through my cac registered company which i added as part of employment, what do i submit as proof? Would cac doc and letter from clients suffice?

Sorry for my million and one questions, trying to cross all t's and dot all i's. Thanks

Please have you got your FBI PCC? How long did it eventually take if yes? Can you share a contact you used for fingerprinting at Alagbon if you did it there? I have also pmed you. Thanks!

Happy New month guys,

I've gotten the minimum amount in my account for less than a week now, sourced for funds and I'm using an affidavit of gift deed to support this. I've got about 30 days left to apply.

1. Is it safe to apply with this?
2. What else can be done to assure a good case for POF?

My former place of work can't give me reference on letterhead paper as I was a contract staff, what I was able to get was a general reference on plain paper and the contents didn't meet the specification of CIC. It doesn't state in details my responsibilities, work duration and amount earned, also I've got no pay stubs.

3. What alternatives do I have?
4. My bank only printed my account statement without the specified writings indicated by CIC, will this suffice?

Thanks for your great works.

@bolded: please what is the specified writings required by CIC? Anyone got it as CIC wants from GTBANK?

I read of an Indian they rejected for same exact scenario. Dunno if it applies to other countries. The catch is to get PCC after the last day stayed in a non residential country.

Then again, someone I know came to Naija from the UK and got her PCC before travelling back to the UK and is now a PR.

These things can be dependent on the VO reviewing one's file.

Na wa oh. I'm confused too. My ITA met me here in the USA (on holidays here) and my calculations show that I have spent more than 6 months cumulative on various missions in the US in the past years. So, I need PCC from US. Now, since I'm here coincidentally when my ITA came, I am planning to get the USA PCC before I return to Nigeria. Since it's the same company, just one reference is ok. HR can mention your previous job role in their letter but I suggest that you follow up on this and not assume that they would do that.

Does your company normally issue such letters for staff that are still in their employment? Congrats on your ITA.

Thanks 40manlappy. You are truly (1+39=40)men (lol) as i see you responding to almost all questions with so much interest. My wife says her office (a bank) has no problem issuing references.

Banking right? Customer care in a financial service sector is an NOC 'C' job so I assume you're claiming points for the marketing role.
You can get for both just to be comfortable since it will be easy being same company but you actually need a reference for a role you're claiming points for.

Thanks for your response. The information is actually for my wife and she is not the primary applicant. I just posted the question so I can know what to tell her to start telling her office to prepare in terms of reference.
