Farmerakinloye6: I already contacted someone to manage the farm and he's reputed to have done well with watermelon with verifiable evidence while I want to do cucumber. Hence the reason for considering having the two separate on two-two plots. Please enlighten me on the additional cost involved in cultivating cucumber. I know of seed, fertilizer, fungicide, insecticide and staking . |

Farmerakinloye6: Advice well taken. Thanks for the response. I'll try the Darina then and revert to this thread as events unfold. One more thing please, is there any misconduct in planting water melon at another section of the same farmland where cucumber is planted? |

Farmerakinloye6: What variety are you talking about sir? I plan to have 4000 stands and have obtained drip tape to that effect |

SESknowledge: I still await the responses of the Ogas on this thread as regards the other variety of Cucumber that could be considered aside Greengo. |

Farmerakinloye6: It appears the much desired Greengo is getting out of reach. I'll like to hear your views and those of other gurus in the house about Darina F1. Thank you |
![]() |
Farmerakinloye6: Alright boss, I understand Greengo produces dark green and bigger fruits and that it exhibits greater resistance to diseases. On the average, how many cucus do you have per stand of your cucumber? How many cucus fill up a sack? |
![]() |
Farmerakinloye6: This drop in price is indeed worrisome, considering the stress put into the cultivation. The least I expect a bag of cucumber to go for at this dry season is 5k. What could be responsible for the drop in price of the commodity? A glut? I still haven't got the Greengo seed. |

Cedagrochemical: Hello sir/ma. I'll like to get the Greengo cucumber seed. How do we go about it please? |
![]() |
Farmerakinloye6: I'm most grateful bro. I'll contact the address below since it's close to the proposed farm in Abeokuta. God bless our efforts. |

Farmerakinloye6: I have about three plots of land in Abeokuta that's cleared and burnt in anticipation of Cucumber farming. The stream directly behind the land is seasonal and has dried up. I understand a portion beside it could be dug to get water easily ( this is what a farm adjacent mine did) then get a pumping machine. I'm fascinated and inspired by the orderliness of your farm and I'll wish mine be tailored along this. My queries. 1. Drip irrigation reduces stress considerably. How much would it cost to run this on a plot of land? In case one isn't able to afford the drip irrigation, would the use of long hose from the pumping machine suffices? 2. I understand you planted Greengo, what comparative advantage does it have over other hybrids? How much is it and where can I get it in Abeokuta? The beds are about to be contracted out. I hope I can always revert here or contact you via your signature as the events unfold. Thank you. 1 Like |

Farmerakinloye6: Good morning Farmerakinloye6. I've attempted to send you a mail through nairaland. I'll like to contact you for a little guidance. Thank you sir. |

LibertyRep: Candidates should be properly guided on what course to chose and at which institution so as not to continually enrich JAMB. That guy may not be able to score up to 300 this year. The validity of UTME should just be extended beyond a year. UTME candidates and their sponsors should rise up and make their voices heard 1 Like |

LibertyRep: Definitely. I wish there's anything we could do about it like a campaign on twitter to bring this to public discuss. The Telecos, Power companies and Banks would still do theirs. You might have to wait till this gets to the front page so as to garner much support. |

It appears that various government agencies want to outdo one another in their hypocritical quest to please the Federal Government not minding if the poor masses are squeezed to death. The sort of stress admission seekers are made to undergo for an admission that may not eventually come is mind boggling. It's not even as if the institutions are World Class self. No wonder many who have the means take their wards overseas. |

[quote author=asuustrike2009 post=62965167] Attention needed ? Yes because it drew many to it even though the topic was misleading Port to another network? Yes that's the available option if you insist on retaining that line Try another state? Yes like lagos[/quote The truth is, I'm still unable to see the misleading part of the topic. You might want to point it out. Thank you. I ain't going to Lagos or any other state just because of SIM replacement most especially now that I have confirmed that I can port without presenting the lost SIM. Thank you also |

GrandMufti: I had a chat with a customer care agent of 9mobile about the possibility of porting without physically presenting the SIM. Look what I got
|
![]() |
GrandMufti: Alright. Thank you. I guess I'll remain at their mercy until they decide to mark SIM cards available for replacement. |
![]() |
GrandMufti: The line is still active as I recharge it recently through VTU, to auto-renew my data which I still have access to, through one of the SIMs I share the data with. In this case can I still port to another network? |

asuustrike2009: 1. Needed attention? Hell No! 2. Try another state? Maybe when I have very much important things to do in that other state but definitely not because of Glo SIM replacement that I should normally be able to do at the comfort of my room 3. Port to another network? Very well. I won't hesitate to do that if it is possible in this case. |

Sometimes in October, I lost my Glo SIM card in an unfortunate circumstance. Few days later, I approached the Abeokuta Gloworld Office with the necessary items for replacement. Alas, I was told that the network for replacement isn't available and that I should return the following week. Exactly a week after, I had a chat with one of their agents who confirmed to me that the network is available and that I should proceed to the same office. To be double sure, I also called 121 to lay the same complaint and the agent also confirmed that the network is available. You can therefore imagine my consternation when I got to the Gloworld Office and was told that there are no SIM cards available for replacement and that I should return later ( with no specific day) Damn! How could something as little as SIM card replacement now become this daunting for Glo? I have a contact who works very close to this office and anytime he visits to inquire about the availability of replacement SIM cards on my behalf, the response has always been negative.(The last time was last week Thursday ) This is December and I can't imagine what emotional stress I could have been subjected to since late October, if not because I have another SIM well known to most of my contacts. I need to know if it is possible for me to port to another network without physically presenting the old SIM. |

Dear Concerned Nairalanders. I want to thank you very much for lending your voice to the issued raised in my epistle. Having waited to observe the situation for more than a week, I can confirm that the provocative deductions have stopped. |
![]() |
kuss: Maybe I was wrong to have called it a refund since I didn't receive any message to that effect. I only noticed a swell in my airtime to d tune of about #450 (not sure though). |
![]() |
It appears Glo has made a refund of my airtime. I made a call a while ago and saw a balance that is in excess of #450. I didn't recharge and I do not think anyone has made airtime transfer to me. Thank you to everyone that added his/her voice to this struggle. I hope our service providers will learn not to subject their customers to needless frustrations. |

U1: I've always known I couldn't have been the only one enduring this grand theft from Glo through the dubious VAS. I haven't experienced any deductions again since Jan 1st though, but the data service has been awful. The silence or seemingly helplessness of NCC in all of these is making them appear as accomplices 1 Like |

jmoore: Na wah o. I read through your thread and I become more saddened. How could a service provider be this audacious in stealing customers' airtime at will. What exactly is the regulatory agency doing to protect the subscribers or are we just simply helpless and at the mercy of these companies? |
![]() |
wristbangle:I have sent that repeatedly to no avail. I even sent STOP when CANCEL will not yield any result still nothing came out of it. The agent on twitter asked me to send STOP to 20644, I did and was charged #15 yet the deductions persist.
|
![]() |
Medunah:I already did. No reprieve stil |
![]() |
gen2briz:Very well. That’s exactly what I intend to do if this nonsense persists. The only thing still drawing me to Glo is the data. Time to look elsewhere. |
![]() |
wristbangle:I couldn't find my way around the PM stuff. My number is right in the epistle above |
![]() |
I deliberately decided not to make any calls on this line today. I checked my balance a while ago and as feared, another #25 gone! Glooooo wetin I do u now? Dear Nairalanders, abeg help me call them out o. Lalasticlala abeg help do the needful. |
![]() |
Xhaka:You are right in some way, but I think there is also a style called the block format. Btw, how do you think we can together call out Glo mobile on this seemingly unending sapping of airtime |
