Investment / Re: How Best To Invest N150,000 In Nigeria by sestob(m): 3:38pm On Jul 30, 2013
after checking all the comments made on this post i must say am impressed with the level of reasoning of my fellow brothers and sister and at the same time some are really funny.
i think we almost fall in the same category, i finished my NYSC 2011 but ever since then i have not been able to secure a better job although am managing a security work for now but i have a plan and knows the kind of biz am going to.
i think the best is for you to look to the service you can render people. i mean something you are good at.
speaking from experience i have venture into virtually all biz mentioned here and knows the challenges in it ranging from forex, poultry, online biz, having website and so on.
we may share the same mind so may be my plan can be of help to you. with your 150 k you can start something. with that you can start a computer business centre in a perfect area. with 2-3 computer, a printer, photocopy machine and generator you can start and you make it big with time. this cost me almost 6 months before i think to the direction.
you can let me know if you need in and out of the biz mentioned. make sure you go with something you have passion for.

Technology Market / Skype Video Messaging Service Now Available For Mobile Andpc by sestob(m): 7:46am On Jun 20, 2013
The Skype video messaging service is finally out and its
now available to all Skype users. It is available on the desktop
in Skype for Windows desktop, Windows 8, OS X and on the
mobile for Skype for iPhone, iPad, Android and BlackBerry. The
service is currently not available on Windows Phone.
For those who don’t know, Skype video messaging lets you
send short video messages over Skype. Unlike your regular
video calls, the recipient of these messages need not be online
when you send them and can view them whenever they log
into Skype. Basically, video messaging is to video calls what
SMS is to voice calls.
The lack of support for Windows Phone is surprising,
considering Microsoft owns Skype now but the feature will
likely be integrated within the OS itself in future versions.

Science/Technology / Finally Blackberry Messenger To Hit Android And Ioson June 27 by sestob(m): 10:01pm On Jun 04, 2013
BlackBeery announced that its Messenger service (BBM) was
coming to iOS and Android many people, including me, got very
excited, but unfortunately, the company wasn’t ready to
announce a release date back then.
Now, almost a month after the Blackberry Live 2013 conference,
the company has announced that its BBM service will hit Android
and iOS as a standalone app on June 27.
Initially, the BlackBerry Messenger or BBM, as it’s more
commonly known, will only support BBM chats, multi-person
chats, voice note sharing, and BlackBerry Groups, where BBM
users are able to set up groups to share calendar, photos, files,
etc.
The company however, intends to make the BBM for Android and
iOS as fully featured as it is on BlackBerry 10, only this will
happen gradually. BlackBerry has plans to expand the
functionality of the app with some of the new BBM features
such as Voice and video calls, Screenshare, and the just
announced Channels. These will come as subsequent updates.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Jose Mourinho Has Agreed To Return Tochelsea by sestob(m): 8:36am On May 03, 2013
Jose Mourinho has agreed a sensational return to Chelsea. But
the Special One’s emotional comeback is unlikely to be
officially announced until July 1.
Until then both Chelsea and the outgoing Real Madrid chief
will shy away from publicly confirming any deal is done.
Mourinho is still under contract at Real. But, barring any last-
minute hitch, he will be back at Stamford Bridge on a
£10million-a-year package.
Mourinho and Blues owner Roman Abramovich were spotted
having dinner at La Famiglia restaurant in Chelsea.
QUESTION
Is Mourinho the messiah?

Romance / Ways To Have A Long Lasting Relationship by sestob(m): 1:50pm On May 02, 2013
Many relationships break within a short period of time but we
all never take time to find the reasons why we broke up with
our Ex-Girlfriends and boyfriends. So here are the ways to
make your relationship stronger and it lasts forever.
1. BEING HONEST: If you aren’t honest with yourself,
about
who you are, what you want, where you are going… you
can’t possibly be honest with your partner. So be honest with
yourself first.
2. TRUST: Nothing makes a relationship shaky faster than
broken trust, it’s very hard to repair trust. Trust your lover
from the smallest detail
3. RESPECT: If you want a solid relationship, respect is an
essential part. You need to respect your partner’s needs and
wants, their weaknesses and strengths, their dreams and goals.
You need to respect who they are
4. COMMUNICATION: It’s hard to trust someone who
won’t
communicate with you well and effectively. this includes
body language… become aware of your body language, and
make certain that it reflects the actual words that come out of
your mouth. Listening is as big a part. Don’t make
conversations a competition Focus on things that you have in
common that’s what brings you together.
5. ATTENTION: When you give your partner and your
relationship attention, they will notice and respond. When you
give them less, they will notice that, too. Give your attention
in ways that show that you are thinking about them, not about
you. Giving your partner attention doesn’t necessarily even
involve time with them. It can be picking out something that
they will like and getting it for them, or making them
something, or
planning a trip that they will enjoy, etc. Giving them attention
simply means spending time and energy on them, even if most
of that time and energy isn’t actually with them
6. INTIMACY: The more intimacy your relationship has, the
stronger it will be… provided that the intimacy is mutual.
7. COMMITMENT: Everyone needs it for a good, strong,
deep relationship. The commitment I am talking about here
doesn’t have to be marriage. It simply means that you can rely
on the other person to be there, to put effort into your
relationship, to
keep you near the top of their list of priorities.

Events / South African Marries 4 Woman At Once by sestob(m): 11:34am On Apr 27, 2013
South African businessman Milton Mbele broke all the
traditional rules of a polygamous wedding when he recently
married four women on the same day.
The four brides dressed in flowing white gowns walked down
the aisle together, before saying “We do” to the 44-year-old
groom.
Mr Mbele says he didn’t marry them purely for the spectacle
but also because it made financial sense.
“I don’t know how much four different weddings would have
cost me but I know doing it all at once saved money,” he
explains.
“For example I only needed one tent, I needed to hire one
caterer and one photographer for the entire ceremony.”
“I began putting money aside for the event towards the end of
2007 and started collecting quotes for things like the tent and
catering costs early last year.”
He says he loves all his wives – Thobile Vilakazi, Zanele
Langa, Baqinisile Mdlolo and Smangele Cele – equally and
also treats
them that way.
Mr Mbele himself wears four rings on his finger – he says this
is a sign of his commitment to all his wives.
The wives say they were shocked by the news that Mr Mbele
wanted to marry them at once but add that they agreed
because they love him.
Some two weeks after their much publicised two-day
ceremony,
Mr Mbele says he is overwhelmed by all the attention his
wedding has attracted.
Mr Mbele, a Zulu businessman and municipal manager, says
polygamy is still very much part of Zulu tradition.
“My grandfather himself had three wives,” says Mr Mbele,
quickly adding that he isn’t blindly following in his
grandfather’s footsteps.
“I prefer polygamy to having many girlfriends which is what
some married men do,” he says.
“If I love more than one woman, I would rather make it
known to the other women in my life and make it official.
“If I feel like taking another wife this is something that will be
in the open and my wives would know,” he says……
What’s your take on this? Madness or what?

Science/Technology / MIT Student Designed Apps That Enable People To Know When NEPA Will Take Light by sestob(m): 3:51pm On Apr 26, 2013
Power to the people: From afar, MIT grad student Chidube Ezeozue devotes energy to his fellow Nigerians.
Like many Nigerians, MIT graduate student Chidube Ezeozue grew up frustrated by his nation’s erratic electrical grid.
“Electrical outages are a huge problem in Nigeria,” says Ezeozue, who is pursuing dual master’s degrees in MIT’s Technology and Policy Program and in electrical engineering and computer science. “The outages really interrupt everyday life.”
Nigeria’s supply of electricity is severely limited, resulting in rolling outages: Power is cut off every few hours and redirected to neighborhoods that were previously in the dark. While Nigerians know to expect these power cuts, they rarely know when the outages will happen, or how long they will last.

Since coming to MIT in 2011, Ezeozue — who received his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Nigeria in 2008, followed by three years of work at a software startup — has created an app, with his brother, that crowdsources information about Nigerian power outages. With the app, called NepaSituation, people living in Nigeria can report outages. This data, when merged into an algorithm developed by Ezeozue, can help Nigerians predict when power outages may strike their neighborhoods, and how long those outages might last.

“With over 100 million cell phones in Nigeria, we knew it was an important resource we could tap into,” Ezeozue says. “It took a while to come up with this algorithm, because the outages are pretty randomized, and the app is only as good as the number of people who enter outage data.”

But Ezeozue has delved into more than just tracking the problem: He is also working to address Nigeria’s chronic energy shortage.

“I started a company that is working to provide solar electricity to businesses and families at zero upfront cost,” Ezeozue says. The company, SolarKobo, was recently funded by a seed grant from MIT’s Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship, where Ezeozue is a fellow.

“Nigeria has plenty of solar energy available … for as low as $25 a month, we can make this resource available to those who are interested,” Ezeozue adds.

When he is not working toward the betterment of his homeland, Ezeozue researches machine learning and prediction algorithms in the research group of Una-May O’Reilly, a principal research scientist in MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.

“We are trying to use medical data, such as blood-pressure levels, to improve patient care,” Ezeozue says. “We observe states that patients’ [blood] pressure goes through and eventually we can predict what state they will go to. These predictions help doctors determine what to expect next.”

Ezeozue is also passionate about education. Along with other Nigerian students at MIT, Ezeozue has started two initiatives to encourage students in Nigeria to pursue higher education outside the country.

In one of these initiatives, which is aimed at high school students, Ezeozue and Chika Ugboh, an MIT chemical engineering student, bought preparatory materials and paid for a few students in one Nigerian school to take the SAT. While this pilot, which was launched in 2011, was not an unequivocal success, Ezeozue says, “We learned that simply providing the materials isn’t enough — it has to be accompanied by mentoring and training.” He and Ugboh are now working to assess how these Nigerian students learn best.

The second of these initiatives is aimed at Nigerian undergraduates: Working through their own networks in Nigeria, Ezeozue and other MIT graduate students are encouraging Nigerian undergraduates who might be interested in postgraduate study abroad.

“The goal is to build a generation of highly educated Nigerians who will hopefully go back to build a better Nigeria,” Ezeozue says. “I plan to eventually go back to Nigeria.”

For now, after graduating from MIT in June, Ezeozue will remain in Cambridge, working as a software engineer for Google.

Celebrities / Interview With Top Musician Artist Jaywon by sestob(m): 10:00am On Apr 20, 2013
To the average music follower in Nigeria, Jaywon needs no
introduction. His fans nicknamed him “Oba Onitinko” after he
dropped his debut album, Tinko Angel. Also ‘Oluwajuwonlo’
came into the limelight courtesy of that
popular song, ‘Fi-Le-Be’ which made Kenny Ogungbe to sign
him on. Jaywon, who recently spoke with our reporter
IYABO AINA said he has done a song that will live after
him .
What’s so special about the new song ‘This Year’?
It’s the grace of God and the urge to do something different. I just needed to be different from everybody and that was what
brought about the song and since it’s release and
everybody seems to love it. In the industry, everybody is
talking about it but we give God the glory that we could bring
out a song that everybody loves and we thank all the
fans who have been supportive; those who have been there
since the beginning and they are still very much around.
I won’t lie to you, the song has done very well in the short
time of its release. As a matter of fact, the same song brought
me back to the music scene and put me on the lips of every
music lover in and outside the country. They have been
calling almost everyday requesting for this same song.
We just give thanks to Almighty God and to all the people
that have been encouraging us, especially our friends in the
electronic media, print media, radio Djs, presenters and
bloggers. I thank everyone for being supportive to my career.
I have been working, I have been on tour and at the same time
doing a lot
of things underground. You know, while on tour, a whole lot
of things
happen; there are songs that people want to listen to like
Gbongbon, Filebe, Facebook Love and at
some point, they couldn’t get these songs and people started
wondering where’s Jaywon but what I believe is that God’s
time is the best for everything and when God says yes,
nobody can say no. When we released this song This Year –
Odun yi, I personally didn’t know it would be this successful.
It is not up to two months and its video is not up to one month
but the song is everywhere. A lot of people are talking about
it.
With the rate of response the song has attracted, what do
you think is going to happen to it in the next two years?
I’ve been very much around dropping songs into the airwaves
with the same connection and promotions trend but it’s just
that this song has been a crowning blessing to my other
efforts.
What are you working on at present?
At present, I’m working on an album. A lot of songs are
going to be released pretty soon. I have been working with
different producers, so just watch out for different kinds of
tunes and different kinds of music.
What should your fans expect from you in your next
album?
People should expect something different, not the regular gba
gbo gba music, because right now, we are taking it back to the
roots and if you listen to the song ‘This Year’
and you compare it with the old song, you will feel a whole
lot of juju, highlife and pop tunes in it. So, we are doing a lot
of different tunes together, songs that the elders would be able
to listen to, dance and appreciate. So now, I’m much
interested in doing a song that is going to have the flavours of
juju, highlife and pop tunes in it.
Does that mean you are changing your style of music?
I just want to do something. different from what everybody is
doing. I just want to be on my own. I just want to create an
avenue where people would differentiate my style of music
and know that this is Jaywon. The kind of music I was doing
then is a blend of pop, RnB and Dance-Hall.
Yes, I did those styles of music which made me travel out of
the country in just two-three years, but this particular song
‘This Year’ has really changed a lot in me since the
day of its release. Everywhere I go, people always pray for
me and everywhere people are saying, yes Jaywon, you just
got the music right, this is an evergreen song and people tell
me this new song would definitely live after me. I don’t think
you know what that means to Jaywon? Some also say that
after Jaywon has died, his children and grandchildren would
still be singing it, do you understand? And if I can
release a song like that and people love the song this much,
what do you expect me to do? It’s much better for me to stay
on that lane and keep doing that same style of music.
What is happening in Kennis Music?
Everything is looking so good and since I personally dropped
this song, ‘This Year,’ everything has changed for better and
all the artistes under Kennis Music Record from Joe El,
Minijin, FEMI, everybody has been itching to bring out a new
song. Many of them have released their singles and are still
working very hard to get that song that will get
across to everybody and I personally thank God that I did that
song everybody has been looking for and everybody is loving
and it’s a big shout out to all Kennis Music team for being
supportive.
Is it true that Kennis Music abandons its artistes to face
the struggle alone?
This issue of a thing happens everywhere, there’s no record
label in Nigeria that has no problem either from the artistes or
staff. To complain is just a normal thing. If you go to other
companies, people would still complain of mismanagement in
one or two areas. It’s a normal thing to complain and it will
get to some point that you just have to stop complaining and
face the work, but for me, I don’t complain of anything. I just
want to do my job because it’s my life and career, but if you
have a boss and he or she is
not doing what he or she is supposed to be doing, you just
have to do it yourself and if your boss is ready to work with
you along the line, then you guys should work together . As
you want your boss to carry all the attention and
responsibilities on his head, he or she has his own
responsibilities hanging on his or her neck and other
unfinished businesses he or she might be thinking of. So, you
just don’t need to put everything on your boss, you need to do
something on your own. I can tell you that the
amount of money and strength I personally put in this new
song is working for me today.
What about your song titled Catch me if you Can?
Well, the song ‘Catch me if you can’ featuring Ice Price and
Ryhno, is one of my craziest songs that is enjoying massive
airplay, though ‘This Year – Odun Yi’ is overshadowing it
because everybody is now talking about it and its toping
most music charts and it’s a big shout out to Ice Prince and
everybody in that song.
What are the gains and pains so far in your career?
So far, the gain has been working for me, despite the fact that
money isn’t coming in yet but hopefully, this year is going to
be different and better because already everything
is looking great and we give God the glory.
Do you still consider yourself as an upcoming artiste?
No, I have been on top of my game since three years ago but
the thing is that we are still growing but we have
covered 70 percent of the journey while 30 percent is yet to
be covered. I believe that soon, we should get closer to where
we are going but I have been at the top of my game
in the past three years and I don’t need anybody to tell me
that. It’s obvious, but we have a target to meet.
How do you cope with female admires?
I cope well with them. I know how to treat them fine and how
to make them happy and also how to time myself; when to get
close to them and I limit my hanging out with
them because there is time to play and time to work but if I
wish to get anybody impregnated or get married to anyone,
I’m ready and nobody is going to stop me. I have a girlfriend
and we are in a serious relationship and she also understands
the nature of my job.
But it was said sometime that you have a wife and child in
your hometown?
I don’t have any child, wife or secret lover in my hometown,
that’s not true; it is absolutely a fake and
fabricated story.
What is your involvement in politics?
I’m not going into politics and more so, every artiste in
Nigeria is connected to one or two politicians, but in the
recent times, the likes of my state deputy governor and other
prominent people in the state have been calling me for one or
two things because I’m also working on a project over there.
Do you have any political campaign contract?
None at the present, and if it comes, fine. Yes, anything can
happen because I’m doing this for my state and not just
anybody but my people, because there’s no place like home.
If you are not doing music, what will you be doing?
I’ll always and always do music because music is like a way
of life to me not just as a business and it’s very spiritual
business and until you see music as way of life then the music
will see you too.
Do you take music as a career?
I take music as a way of life, if I should see music as a
business, I won’t release this song ‘This Year – Odun Yi’,
most of my friends asked me why I shot the video of this
song, it’s a risk at the moment; wasting so much money on
such video isn’t worth it even I too didn’t believe that the
song is going to be this big but I just wanted to sing the song.
Your words of advice for upcoming artistes
Keep doing it yourself, don’t let anybody deceive you to do
what is not right, believe in yourself and don’t let anybody tell
you that you can’t do it or achieve your aim because to make
money is for all of us and to live a meaningful life is
everybody’s dream. So keep closer to your God and be
prayerful because it’s only God Almighty that has answers to
every request.

How i Started Making Money:
I started making money online officially in 2008. My first money was made through my bulksms website, customizesms
(now ogbongesms.com). I set up the website because I so much believe in the fact that for you to make real money
online, you must have a product to sell or service to render in return for real cash. After few weeks of setting up the website, I started receiving orders from people around the country and it signaled to me that making money online is REAL!

Testimonies:

Amin 7/17/2010

Hey big boy, I wish to have that knowledge in your head. Remain bless. Thanks for a lot of info.

Yeah, I like ur gut. Atleast honest guys in Nigeria like u is doing what they love to do in the right way and not to cut corners. A contemporary writer defined business as anything one does to earn a living. He went further to categorize business into two namely legal and illegal- d type dat draws d ire of d society nd attract punishment is considered illegal. Guys like u are doing the legal online biz and what more do we tell d world other than to let dem know dat not all of us is as bad as they view us. Keep d flag flying cos u ar one of those we can proudly raise our hand and identify with. Thumb up man, dont relent. Together, we will all succeed. I remain who I am.
