How urgent and relevant is Nigeria international passport for some one that want to process work visa in UK, is it that before I will apply for any work in UK they will resquest for my international passport first before my job application can be processed

Oga/ madam,
If your passport is expired, apply for renewal even if the appointment date is far off. Evidence of application alongside the expired passport is sufficient for whoever needs the passport as an evidence.
Don’t leave it till it is extremely important and u start looking for a connect in London o!.

Hi everyone,

I have a friend who works with an agency. he's a 24hrs support worker. he has grown to be a hard worker to the client and the client loves the companionship and emotional support he offers. The wife of the client also loves him. They prefer him to the other support workers who work there.

Now the issue is, the wife wants her to be the main support worker along with one other worker she choses. They want to employ her directly and stop the agency from sending workers there.

The wife of the client isn't aware of her visa status as a tier 4 student. The agency has also promised her tier 2 sponsorship. There is so so much uncertainty about the tier 2 sponsorship.

This is a situation of not biting the hands that feed you. She doesn't want the client to withdraw from the agency and wants to also continue working for the agency. Her fear is that she may lose on both sides. Not getting the sponsorship and also losing the client.

What are her options? Is there any visa that she can apply for to work with the client directly? She's confused.
Student? 24hrs support?
She and her agency get something in common right?
She better use her head and stick with the agency.
The pple wey like her work no like violation o.

Hi family ,please I need urgent advice ,came into the this country not too long on tier 2 Visa ,after my training it seems my employer doesn’t have enough working hours for me as the company don’t have much shift ,I’ need sincere advise ,can I do more than the 20 hours allotted elsewhere ,this bills is not funny if you’re not working ,my employer hours is way less than 15 which is too low for me ,I’m very agile and willing ,what options do I’ve …Mature advice ONLY
Option 1.Look for another sponsor and switch. U can then give ur current employer the 20hrs they need.
Option 2. Get a second sponsor and apply to update ur visa. https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa/second-job

my sister ( on a student visa) has gotten her COS to switch her visa to tier 2, but passport is expired but has applied for new one but it is taking a long time to be ready. Can she do the application without a valid passport as her COS and visa expiration is very fast approaching?
Is passport actually required or can her BRP suffice?
Let her start the application with the expired passport. No biggie. as far as the evidence of passport renewal application is available when asked.

Good morning my japa members, my japa journey i most confess has been full of up and down and each time I I feel so Disappointed and discouraged on why did I come here but I can say here is better even though it’s has not been easy. Getting here we had issue of accommodation even up til now me,my wife and the new born baby has stay in a room and manage with an Kenyan woman and paying £700 while we have little access to stuffs cause of too much compliant each time we wanna cook she complains of of bill here and there and so we have to cook once a day despite the fact that my wife is breastfeeding though I will be ungrateful if I did not appreciate the fact that she took us in most especially when the social worker was on us and was about to collect our baby because we were staying at travel Logde before the arrival of the child. The situation got more worse when I discovered the home office has made a mistake in the condition of my brp with the present conditions stating no work no engaging in business and I have reported since last month and notin is forthcoming.
Please anyone that can help as regarding

Accommodation (not asking for free) but sometin more better.my wife schools at University of hertfordshire so if I can get sometin within but I won’t mind if it’s far as well as my present place is far as well so I won’t mind and if I can get someone to help on that issue of getting a cash in hand job and any means getting my brp fix I will Still appreciate it .

Thanks in anticipation

For proficiency, u don’t need to upload any evidence. It has been demonstrated when the school gave u offer and they issued u study visa.

The second part, there is no need to package anything. Remember, there could be a change in accommodation for whatever reason. You have to provide info on where you actually stayed.

Good Evening Everyone,

I am switching from a student visa to a Skilled worker visa but my MSc certificate (uk) is not out yet.

How else can i prove my English proficiency?

Thank you very much.

Nothing to prove. There is an option that allows the fact that you have proven the proficiency in previous applications. (Eg student visa)

Hi everyone,

Please I need help, I got into the UK few weeks ago with a healthcare restricted visa. I was suppose to resume on the 1st of November but my employer has said dbs needs to be gotten before work can start. They have updated the home office with a new start date by 20th of November. Please I will like to know if I can get any other part time job as a way to get income and keep busy instead of staying at home 24/7.

I want to know if it is against my visa to get other part time jobs that are not healthcare.

Thank you
Read the conditions of your visa again but this time slowly. It clearly states the type of jobs(additional) that you are allowed to take.

Dear Ancestors, I have come again with my questions.

My story:

Wife is a Nurse on Tier 2 visa, her employer gave her offer and posted her to Aberdeen, after getting her visa, she was transferred to Edinburgh, getting to Edinburgh and passing her final exam and became full UKRN, her manager said she doesn't like her and as such requested for her to be transferred. (Note only her the 3 black Nurses were all affected).
She was transferred to Newcastle and we have been here for 7 months.
Today her Regional manager informed her that this present Home is going to shutdown by December.

This may mean another transfer?.

This whole thing is affecting our settling down properly and it's mentally draining to say the least.

Please I need advise on how best to Navigate this issue.
Make she begin find work na. You can switch sponsor na. Let her check her contract for implications of termination

Sorry for diving deep.
Look at this analysis.
A student has 4 banks. Namely. Revolut, monzo, nawest and wise.

He linked his monzo to his employer with NI, and that is where his employer pays his 20hour work salary into.

Now this student still does fiverr job and takes his earning into the revolut and natwest.

Would the hrmc find out. Or they can only know about what comes into the monzo since that is the one the employer pays into and that is the one tied to the NI

Why do think people do cash in hand jobs? Or Why do think the African shops ask for cash?
That transaction never happened.

See I live in both state, Abuja is far less undeveloped than Lagos, there are successful local government in Abuja, even you can compare Abuja with most state capitals. Lagos problem is overcrowding, and Abuja is already getting overcrowded. Enugu was also a capital for several years, but no one can compare Enugu with even Abuja. You can't even compare lekki with Abuja, talkless Island.

Individual contributions does not count.

Yes only one leader have been tested and we can see that he have such capability and that is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, support him and let him turn d country around

Greetings Fam. Please any advice and info would be deeply appreciated.

Been in Glasgow for close to a year now.
Wifey and 2 kids are coming to join me in all likelihood by the end of the year.
I am doing a PhD which I am sponsored. My scholarship funding wont be enough for us obviously for the next 3 years or more duration.
When she comes she will need to assist with work to be able to cater for the extra bills and mouths.
She is looking to do care work during her time here, but she does not have medical or care background, apart from taking care of sick old parents in Nigeria. Her primary background is Telecoms and Customer Care
Is there any advice that will enable her get an edge in her care application when she applies eventually?
is there anything (course maybe) that she can do to boost her chances in the next 2 to 3 months before she travels from Nigeria?
Is there anything I myself can do to ease her work chances from over here in Glasgow?

Let her look for a typical job she likes or her current expertise and look at indeed for the typical job requirements. She can start prepping herself towards that.
Care job should be the last option pls.

NB: this is not to denigrate care job but she could be lucky.
