My profile ,

I was refused in 2016 based on insufficient funds :
Reasons ticked : funds to transport my self to Canada and funds for living expenses .

I knew how to tackle these but I still got my GCMS notes just so I know the VO's tot process .

Applied : May 14th ,upfront medicals :

Medical changed to pass :24 th Aug and they started to review eligibility .

Application approved / passport request .7th Sept 2017 .(after two reminder mails )

Docs: submitted

1.All cic forms
2.school fees print out paid two years tuition .(27k CAD)
3 .my birth certificate and that of my sister ,I added her marriage certificate as her hubby is my sponsor (this was not in my first application ).
4.Sponsors affidavit of support.
5 .Sponsor transferred 2.5mm to my account (added his bank statement and mine) .
6.My sis bank statement(26 k CAD) savings ,she's in Canada by the way and in my SOP I stated that I had the option to stay with her .(accommodation sorted ).
7.All my employment documents ,salary increase and pay slips .
8.My house document .(Gift from my late dad.)
9.Sponsors employment documents and pay slips and in his letter he stated how much I mean to him .
10.My pension statement and Family picture of my sis and the hubby with me and kids in it .(this was to emphasize the relationship as basically I knew the VO doubted the relationship in my 2016 app )
10. Lots of prayers and trusting in God .

If you have submitted your passport, please what did you take to the VAC in order to submit your passport. Did you pay any service charge?

House, I have two quick questions. For those that followed online route whose application were recently approved, did you need to pay any service fee to submit your passport at the VAC in Lagos? What did you take along to the VAC besides your passport?

Somebody should please answer this question shocked

I don't understand CIC again oo, i submitted on June 28, medical call came august 3 and i passed medicals since like august 14 but till now, CIC has not made a final decision on my application. Please any ideas on what could be happening? School resumes Sept 1 for God's sake. I thought final decision comes shortly after medical call but in this case, it seems to be taking longer. any ideas on what could be happening?

What could happen if one is unable to resume school at the appropriate time in canada due to the long processing time of student visa by CIC/IRCC?
For instance, I applied for my TRV here in Nigeria in June and I am supposed to start my MSc program on Sept 5 but am not sure i will get my student visa before september

Hi Seyi,
I get your point. It's cool to know one can give it a second shot.
Haven't gotten any email yet tho.
...and why did you say 2017? Next year is 2016...
Best regards man.

2017 was an error so yea it should be 2016. But stay hopeful if you are yet to get a regret message Emma. The EY reps in Naija do check this forum. You could get lucky.

Congrats to you guys that got success emails, I'm happy for you. I haven't gotten an email from EY and I'm still hopeful like the other folks.
This is like my first 'real' application for a job whole experience was worth a milli... I learnt soooo much.

To everybody, all the best, let life lead you to places you will find peace and a good life.

Just got EY regret message. Hi Emma, if you look carefully, you will find couple of guys who were rejected last year by EY but got accepted into EY this year. So you can try again next year if you're younger than 26...and who knows? Wish the successful candidates and 2017 'hopefuls' good-luck. Cheers!
