ilugunboy: Can a responsible mod (OAM4J or Afam) or Super Mod kindly lock this thread for falsehood already...

neither of the aforementioned is responsible. One is nepotism personified while the other is lackadaisical and aids and abet nepotism to the fullest.

None of these mods is fit for purpose.

I also guess from the post above that lagos is no longer a cosmopolitan city.

Left for yorubas alone , lagos will just be another ibadan_ the biggest slum in africa

Shame you let omonakonda off the hook so lightly. You were rebutting his ill thought out arguments brilliantly and maintained focus eve though he was throwing back hand jibes at you but once he said sorry for clearly trying to debase you, you let him off the hook. You were doing do well. In future, don't let a menial apology without substance throw you off course.

You are a brilliant debater.
St_Black:

So far, your defences hold no water. !

No amount of historical twist you can make here that can ever undermine Awo's legendary contributions IN the whole SW states.

Run from pillar to posts, any other Nigerian asides the Ibhoes on NL I so far know wiont acknowledge any other effort as much as Awo's legacies in his SW.

E.Clarke is a living witness, So you & your Ibhoes may go wild for all I care. !
Politics / Re: The Apc Governors Are After Anambra State Oil, by Shakiratuu: 6:02pm On Nov 08, 2013
banega: of cuz ondo state produces more groundnut oil than the whole of south east and south south combined.. So your women can always add enough oil in into der foods.. Be it stew or a pot of soup.. Thats why your brain is so oily.

Why are you so jealous of our oil just because you were so ravaged by the war you could only cook with Palm oil instead of refined groundnut oil reserved for the privileged few.

It is even arguable that your grand parents had no palm oil to cook at that period.

Yeye! If not for Lagos, you for know wetin groundnut oil look like?

Nansense!

Nashville:

You have spoken wisely. There are three regions in Nigeria- North, West and East. If any two of these regions gang up against the third, the third will always lose. The Northerners realised this and will always have the backing of one of the other two regions in any fight. What the Southerners need to learn is that the only way the North can lose any battle is if the two Southern regions unite. But rather than unite the South, the North has succeeded in causing more division by breaking the South into SW, SE and SS. Southerners have a loong way to go!

Wouldn't you agree that there was a already a divide in the so called "Southern Nigeria" which predated the Northern interception anyway? Afterall we all know that there was never a unity of language or religion in the abstract south which further grounded the North's interference.

Konmight: One of my problems with us Southerners is that we often (Fi Ete S'ile, Pa Lapalapa) leave the major issue and digress. Instead of fighting the major enemy and liberate ourselves from this damn forced marriage we are tribalising the issue and attacking ourselves. Let's give credit to the elders, they created SNPA for a major reason irrespective of internal problems we have esp btw Yorubas and Igbos. Our goal should be the same, please don't let us repeat the mistake of 1967. God Bless Southern Nigeria (For now, we shall divide into various Republics after we must have liberated ourseleves from this damn forced marriage), God Bless Nigeria Till It DISINTEGRATES.

Sorry ojare, where is this Southern Nigeria and who are they?

ALTRUTH: Good evening great ladies & gentlemen of Nairaland.

It is no news that there has been a raging e-war on Nairaland between the Igbos and the Yorubas for some time now. The fact is that this does not portray any of these great races in good light before all Nigerians and all over the world. Some of us might even be ashamed to read out some of our comments to our children and grand children in the future because of the hate and crudeness emanating from such posts. embarassed embarassed embarassed

In view of this, I have decided to take a bold step by using this occasion to ask Desola to be my Nairaland wife. cheesy cheesy cheesy
