Health / Re: Menstrual Cramps Disturbing Me Badly. Please What Can I Use For It? by Sheilapat: 2:53pm On Jan 07
Do aerobic exercise just before your period starts, use a hot compress on your lower abdomen when in pain. These used to work for me when I experienced such pains. Also increase your fluid intake. Please visit a gynecologist if symptoms persist

Nairaland / General / Re: Please How Do I Stop Finger Biting by Sheilapat: 3:39pm On Dec 11, 2023
I have a son who's 6. He not only chews his nails, but I've discovered recently that he bites the skin around his fingernails as well. Today I've wrapped up his fingers with plaster abi na bandage ( well the brown stuff like masking tape used in hospital). I want to try for a week and see how it goes.

I used the same thing for myself when I used to constantly pinch the pimples on my face and it worked then

Family / Re: Mothers Please Advice A Frustrated Married Man. by Sheilapat: 8:58pm On Sep 14, 2022
Op doh o! I can only imagine your predicament.

From what you posted, your wife has time management issues which you ignored during your lovey dovey days. Now that 2 toddlers are in the mix, she's overwhelmed.

1. Please get her a help if you can. It doesn't have to be a live in help.

2. She needs to manage her time well and train the children too likewise. When I had my child, bathing time for instance was around 8:30 - 9:00 am in the morning and 6:30 - 7:00pm in the evening. After maternity leave, I adjusted the morning baths to 6:30-7:00am in the morning. I would cook and pack my lunch and that of my spouse before then. We'd leave the house at 8:00am. This routine has continued ever since. Now that he's started school it's easy as it's a routine he's already used to.

3. You and your wife need to have a frank discussion on each other's frustrations and commit to resolutions reached.

4. She should stop giving them sugary stuff after say 3pm. Some children are on sugar high which makes them hyperactive. Both of you need to allot screen time for the children and stick to it. They should also have outdoor playtime and definite siesta time. That helps to train them in a routine. It won't be easy at first nor will they always follow, but it would make life better for you.

5. If she can prep her meals it would make life easier. I usually cook all my soups at the weekend. And each day, I already think ahead of what we feel like eating so I'm not stressing out after a stressed out day at work. My husband also helps with cooking, cleaning and laundry which is a great relief.

6. For knacking, if she's not well rested or in a right state of mind mentally Oga, forget sex. Try this - get her help for a day and allow her to go somewhere by herself to de-stress, she'd be rejuvenated.

jackals:
I'm a beautiful woman in my 30s (33 precisely) with a good career and a budding startup in the make-up business. I'm also very humble and I'm one that appreciate the little things a man do. Recently, I got linked to a guy who just came back from the US and have the intention of settling down just like me. He's successful and very respectful the First time we met, and I was already looking forward to something meaningful with him.

Last week Sunday, he took me out. When I got back home, I noticed I've embarrassed myself too much by literally throwing myself at him. I withdrew and form busy by not responding to his texts and calls for two days. WhatsApp message read but not replied.

On Tuesday, I noticed he didn't message me for the whole day. But I became bothered. Up till now, he has not called me nor message me. I didn't want things to be like this, I just didn't want it to be like I'm desperate of his attention.

Is he that he has moved on or not really interested

Madam you don goof o! The guy has moved on, he's not in for drama. Some folks are like that. It was on phone that my husband who was an acquaintance proposed to me. I was shocked - in my words ( na so Dem dey toast woman for your village) I'm glad in didn't form cos a month later we had done introduction and we were married 6 months from the date of that call. Best decision I made cos I'm in bliss

There's nothing wrong with you. The skin in your pubic area requires great care just like you face. That's why it's advisable to wear cotton panties and to also sun dry you underwear. Some spa's offer vagiacials. You can that out. In the interim ensure you don't wear tight outfit so the area can have air. When you shave do it in the direction of how the hair follicles grow
Travel / Re: FG To Shut Third Mainland Bridge For Six Months by Sheilapat: 6:12pm On Jul 06, 2020
Are they joking or something? Eko bridge has not been in use from the Alaka end for the past 3 months. Costain bridge has not been completed as well causing undue hardships to motorists. Iganmu - Ijora road has crater like pot holes and you want to add 3rd Mainlan to the mix Crazy set of folks with no game plan
