personally, I think the anger comes up when she can't make it, and makes no attempt to let him know. its annoying to plan your day around someone showing up, only for the person to flake on you without any notification.
based on my opinion, I hate chrome because of the annoying pop ups. very frustrating when you open a page, and it forces an app to trigger your Google play store. I use opera mini for light browsing, and uc for downloads. in fact Google chrome should be changed to pop-up chrome
prettytasha: I downloaded one from the first page , how does this cycles thing you guys are talking about works ? And I don't know if its the latest blender version I downloaded , my aim is to make animated movies tho
well basically cycles is a render engine which has been included into blender for quite some time, and is separate from the internal render. it has the advantage of giving your work a photo realistic touch, but usually requires longer rendering times and higher system specs. as for me, I've been using blender for close to 10 years now, but I don't use cycles. since your goal is making movies I would suggest you stick to the internal render, but you might want to have an idea of how cycles works. one thing you need to know is that cycles or internal render is just for the purpose of finishing, but will not have any effect on your modelling or animating
kazuna: Me still tryng Liquid sims, dont know why i ve gotten trapped in it....its kinda satisfying....might be a distraction to a natural xterer.
Secondly, how to hide my uv seams seemed to be a new headache.
Thirdly, for mates here still using the Blender internal, how can one make a material to appear moist....i tried gloss and it appears like lacquer, want ma fish to look amphibiously moist.
nice work bro. for the shiny thing, have u tried using colour ramps?
kazuna: Switching between FK and IK is double wahala
I've been doing some research on IK/FK switching solutions because I think it is one of the more interesting and practical problems to encouter while Rigging.
I love IK but every tutor I've ever met kept saying do switches for both FK?IK.
Honestly, unless I'm animating a walk or run cycle, I'd prefer to stick with IK arms and legs because I can get the exact poses I need and keep the arms and legs in those poses without having to worry about gimbal lock (the exception being the wrists and ankles) nor counter-keying (when the torso is moved), which are the limitations of Forward Kinematics.
@Shimish do you do both or are all these tutors saying FK/IK switch just been technical for technical sake?
kazuna: Got inspired by Tos87's Decal on brick.... Merry Xmas Tos....in advance that is...Win that Competition ooo or don't come back to this thread....lol
here's ma mail for the set props kamag234@gmail. I will like the gifts, the pavement and brick apartment.
very nice. how did you achieve the skin color? ramps or texture map?
Nna Mehnnnnn, the thang is frustrating me ballz. Anyways I aa rendering it like that. Witt Cycles for that matter. Cycles can be a real bitch, taking forever and still dorning out with fireflies. If only I know hair shaders for octane. I repeat Cycles is a Bitch. An angry one.
The hair Godz are angry with me too. All attempts getting thwarted by them.
You're good . The lightning (I had never believed in photo real lightning) concept is sci-fish. You get this sense something will turn on and say "Scanning, All protocols engaged. You are having un-authorise access. Warning (4x)"
What's with their hands? The madams soup spoon is flat! When she stirs the soup there is no motion of the soup. The lady's phone just have a yellow screen! Walk cycle is somewhat robotic! Did you add SSS to the skin materials 'cause can't see light passing through them even with the AO. I'm sorry just what i noticed please don't be angry.
Your work is neat.
thanks for the critique. but FYI, sss works better with white peoples skin, and Its not worth doubling render time for something that insignificant. also, concerning the stirring motion of the soup, it's important to note that if you are gonna cross every T and dot every I when it comes to stuff like that, Im sorry to say that one will never get a single project completed. you just have to cut corners sometimes. the client will never say "very good you made the soup stir, so you are gonna get extra pay for that.
kazuna: Was working to remedy this tryout the night, yet came out futile....I simply cant do masking abi na rotoscoping... The platform is still there...
kazuna: Oga Shimish, hope u would answer this too, how do I make a tracked 3d obj in a scene to eh be behind say a car passing by it....in my footage it seems d car just passed over the object...
does it involve render passes or alpha matte and stuff? Confused there....
2 methods. method 1. create or find a matching model of the car, place it in the scene and make it move at the same speed and direction with the footage car, but give it a masking transparent material. once it passes in front of ur characters, it will block them out. 2. which is simpler, in the camera tracking windows, create a mask round the car, and parent it to a point which is tracked to the car. as the car moves, the track point moves, which subsequently moves the mask. u can also animate the mask to change in shape and size as the car gets smaller. hope this makes sense. look for this video on YouTube " Tracker Assisted Masking in Blender 2.63"
cupid1: Oga shimish i have some questions. Do you just sit at home all day waiting for a CG job to fall into your laps or do you go and search for it. If you go in search of it yourself, Pray tell, how do you search for the jobs. Secondly, do u have anything you do for a living asides Blender3d/CG
that's a tough one. OK over the years, I've been working on animated commercials for certain company products, though most never pulled through, it built up my portfolio of which were seen by so many. as a result I kept getting lots and lists of referrals from people who had seen my work. so at this point, the jobs just keep coming. funny enough, I usually turn down close to 70% of them. try getting a site with some of your best work and put the link also over, even on Facebook and Nairaland. u never know who just might stumble onto it. not too long ago I even got contacted by an overseas client (who I've never met, but found me on this site) to do a job for me and he actually paid. tutorials are good, but don't get confined to them; the limit creativity and experimentation
kazuna: @Ladanski @ Shimish, have thou ever done an animation without tutorials?
don't know why am asking this but I guess una answers might cure some itches for me...
hmmmm funny enough I haven't used a tutorial in ages. don't like keeping redundant info in my head. however, before I embark on a new project, I highlight every potential problem I may run into, and go into a research phase to come up with the best course of action.
@ Kazuna you have a good sense of humor; it keeps the trend alive. also for your shadow problem, try shifting the floor plane a bit to the other side of the chopper
jjk24: boss shimish, pls do you have any tip or can you recommend any tutorial for someone who just wants to major in animation? Cus there's practically no advance animation tutorial on youtube thanks in advance.
u would be better off consulting books for that. I do more of reading books than watching video tutorials, cos the go much deeper. try getting ur hands on "introducing character animation with blender" its about 515 pages. also, try animating with blender or blender 2.5 character animation cookbook.
