Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Sholsp: 10:38am On Jan 10, 2021 |
Good morning, pls have they resolved this? in a similar situation.sent you a message. quote author=tushqueen post=97602945]Our visa were picked up today for my spouse and 2 kids. One of these has issues which we feel should be corrected. The mistake was that one of my compound names (surname) was omitted. Say 'Compound-Name' written correctly for spouse and first kid but written as 'Name' for my last baby. Do you think this should pose as an issue while traveling? We complained at the point of collection, so we were asked to make a copy and leave the visa behind for corrections. Has anyone experienced this or something similar? When are we likely to get it corrected as this is delaying our flight bookings Remember the message above? I'm angry and bitter right now. We have checked for my daughters passport at the TLS office for collection twice now with no success. We keep receiving mails to come pick up the passport as they don't keep once granted. Each time we go, we get nothing tangible as response, the official just keeps saying it's not ready /yet sent to them. It's been over 17days now since we applied for correction as mentioned below. Please does anyone know how to resolve this. They need the visa to travel as soon as possible as this is delaying booking of flight. The visas ware ready and granted since 16th but hers has been delaying flight bookings because of the mistake they made regarding her dependant's surname
|

I think you are most likely to get a decision nextweek. The problem is that a case officer was not assigned before, now that they have pushed your file, it wont take time.dont know why it is like that. Bodylanguage: |

lol @ bla bla bla Oga bla bla bla... it's a free world now- apply for your visa but know you may be banned for 5 years if you misrepresent or provide false documents . You may also be deported if your intentions are not genuine- people are still making it in Nigeria so no need for desperation . If you are confident that some employers may sponsor you on arrival with a tourist visa , why not let start applying to them in Nigeria and get your legal permit from here?

Fact is the official transaction denomination for payment of school fees from Nigeria using the form A is the US dollar.there is no point going back and forth on that.no bank will transact the fee using the Euro or Pound.it will be calculated in dollars and that equivalent taken from your current naira account. The payment would be remitted to your host school in Euro, using another conversion rate over there.Using the USD to transact is a big help rendered, dats all. 2 Likes |

@ Dreamchaserz, thanks a lot for the info, God bless. Two sets of photocopies for every document you submit. This includes all pages of your international passport too. Everything you will pay at vfs is #46,950 which includes courier fee. Make sure your 2 passport photographs are the recommended size...if not, you go snap am for #1500 at vfs(abuja only..dunno about lagos)
|

Hi, as it seems, you got like two options.your dad can use his bank statement and in his sponsor letter, point out what he has been doing after work,he should state that he is retired and the funds have been his savings, either from rents earned etc.in another way, he can transfer the required funds to your account, write a letter backing that up and explaining that.you should also inform the embassy in your sop.with either of these, you should be good to go. quote author=Silin post=78221663]Thank you very much for your response @sholsp. My dad retired late last year, october to be precise, but he has not been paid his gratuity yet, that will take some time before he will be paid. But he has some money he has saved up for a while now. Thats this year, but he has not used it. Please, whats the best way to go about this situation. Your kind advise will be appreciated. Thank you. @silin, If your dad is retired and will be sponsoring you,he needs to show proof of where this funds are coming from.i.e,pension,gratuity,or private business. It is not enough for him to show he has the funds needed to sponsor you,but to prove the funds are not instant lodgement or standing in isolation.there needs to be constant flow.regards. quote author=Silin post=78194039]Hello fam, please i have some quetions, dad is sponsoring me but retired from civil service but he has saved up all d fund needed for me. Hope that there won't be any problem cos he is retired. Kindly help me out Cos i want to make the best approach to making my visa application a success. Gurus in the house should kindly help out Cc. Hello @ Dreamchaserz, In my opinion, it us not advisable for you to use your dad as sponsor with you working, married, and your wife having a business. If at all you will include your dad as sponsor, it is better for your dad to go to his bank and request for you to be added on his statement as a joint account. It worked for me,so I believe it is a possible route. The point is if you are gainfully employed and married, what is the need for a sponsor?the V O would expect your dad to put the funds in your account.for me it is a red flag.other ppl can advice, regards. 1 Like 1 Share |

ICaSNg: Good day @pelumo, to the best of my knowledge, accomodation in Ireland is part of the living cost minimum budgeted for a year.if you can pay your accomodation for a year before leaving Nigeria, with concrete proof to this, you might not need to show the complete 7000 euros.but if you have it,you can let that reflect in your POF. For instance having a relative in Ireland who has shown proof that he can accommodate you for a year, as far as I know the 7k euros should be reduced.my 2 cents pls. |
