Please guys is the 30,000 Canadian dollars for the NSE route inclusive of ones school fees or school fees is separate?
It's inclusive of the tuition fee. 30k CAD is just an estimated amount.

Greetings all,

Please does it amount to shooting oneself on the legs by sending IELTS General Training to IRCC upon their request for IELTS test result for accelerated assessment of the application?

Please bear in mind that the request doesn't state if its IELTS Academic or GT.

I have a valid IELTS GT TRF and I'm wondering if I can answer YES to the question asking if you have IELTS on the study permit application to satisfy the conditions for accelerated assessment. Has anyone done this before and still got approved?
It doesn't matter if it's academic or general

Please, does this images of opened document of study outside Canada, means the form to fill on my Adobe reader?
There are 3 forms you'd have to download and fill using the Adobe reader. When you're done filling them, you save it on your system and you upload them in their required spaces.

I don't have a Bsc. I used an ND result to apply, hence the decision to apply for an Advance diploma program. Regarding the concerns about funds for subsequent sessions, I'm a freelancer who make a minimum of $4000 per month and I also work less than 20 hours per week. Can I show that as a proof?
You should. I guess you are good to go

Thanks for the swift reply. Yes, I'm self sponsored. I can make it as high as 14k before the interview with the VO. Would that be okay? Hope there won't be an issue regarding me not being able to currently pay fees for the 2nd and 3rd year?
How old are you? I just realized you mentioned advanced diploma. You should going for post graduate diploma if you already have bsc. And no, you're not required to pay your entire tution fee before application. However, you must address the concern I raised earlier. VO might have concern about where the subsequent funds are going to come from.

Hello, guys. Thanks for the job y'all are doing - I wish all of us success! I applied to George brown university and just got my admission letter for an Advance Diploma course there. Now, I'm all set to apply for student visa. However, I have a couple of questions before I get started.

1. I don't have an IELTS result now. Can I go on and apply on IRCC while I register for IELTS and write the exam?

2. I have enough funds for both my first year program (C$19,000) and the additional 10k. However, I don't have enough to foot subsequent sessions. Would that be a problem?

3. Should I go ahead and pay my first semester school or is there anything else I need to know?

Thanks! Sorry if I'm asking questions that have already been answered.
1. Yes, you can
2. If you're self sponsored, your application might be denied on ground that the fund won't be enough for the entire duration of stay. You should package your application in a way that the VO would be convinced that there will be support system for you back in Nigeria. However, If you're a being sponsored increase the available fund for living expenses to 11k to be on a safer side.
3. Yes, you can.

Good morning guys

Please I need a quick response on this issue now

The date on my CAC certificate is September 2021 and am about to do tax clearance certificate So the internal revenue officer told me that the one they are to issue for me will indicate that have been paying tax since 2018

My question now is

If they issued the tax clearance certificate for me now hope the establishment date stated on the CAC certificate won't contradict the date on the tax clearance from VO perspective.

Please I need your quick response

Regards
I don't know your circumstance or your story but submitting a document for an establishment that's less than a year old doesn't seem genuine. It won't be considered an hometie. It's certainly not an essential prove of fund but like I have stated I don't know your circumstance or how you intend to explain the establishment in your SOP.
CAC document does nothing if there's no prove the business is active and actually generating revenue.

I just want you to understand that the reason @ruthbella has not gotten a response is basically not because she didn’t go for NSE.
Gbam.
I can't say. I'm just an applicant. However, failure to submit NSE requirement certainly won't help the situation regarding the processing time in anyway. Delay is not denial.

Many thanks for your response. Can I then explain how I got the lump sum dollars early last year by backing it up with a statement of investment. Do u advise i attach my salary account(although there is no money in it). Also can I now attach my employment letter and how can I proof ties since I am also single. Thanks once again
Yes, you should explain the lump sum back it up with prove. Attach your employment letter and if possible get a letter of leave of absence. It would go a long way in establishing your hometies, but that depends on what you've written in your earlier statement. You must be able to establish how the program you're going for will be beneficial to your career prospect on your return to Nigeria.

Not providing NSE requirements is not the issue
I applied December 20 got NSE request December 30 but I ignored
Got medical request March 26

My response was to @Ruthbella. The delay you're facing at the moment is probably because you didn't do the upfront medicals. It's no longer an NSE issue if you've gotten medical request.

Good morning everyone,

I just saw the thread online and joined yesterday. Thanks for all the info you guys provide. It is really eye opening.
I realised I made a lot of errors in my application and I want to confirm if there i can remedy this before a decision is made. I applied for financial planning as a Pdg course. I studied economics as an undergraduate and work in a bank.
1. I applied using the Nse route march 1st. I am sponsoring myself.
2. I didn't attach a letter of explanation as I didn't know what it meant. All I did was attach a statement of purpose and submitted my additional documents, My degree certificate, acca certificate, promotion letter(as I couldn't find my employment letter), staff idcard, evidence of previous travel history (UK, Us, Dubai).
Also I used just my dollar account for proof of funds as I had previously converted my funds to Dollars about a year ago. The funds came as 2 lump sums then.
3. I didn't really establish family ties as I don't have siblings and my mum is late. Just my Dad.

My application is currently showing eligibility under review and background check in progress.

I want to confirm if I can still submit a LOE and additional documents to help my application.

Please help me guys. God bless you all
LOE and statement of purpose are basically the same thing. Countries just interchange the term. Yes, you can address your concern with an updated statement. However you would have been in a much better situation if you had ordered a GCMS note. It takes about 30 days for you to get it. The problem is that decision might be made on your application while waiting for GCMS assessment of your application.

I did upfront medical in November, submitted my application in December 9 2020 since then no update.
you probably didn't provide the NSE requirement. If that's the case, priority won't be given to your application. Are you resuming in May? You should be sending webform on daily basis.

please, gurus in the house, when you go for a medical exam, what are they checking out for or what type of test are they carrying out?
Capturing, x-ray, blood and urine taking, vitals and finally you get to see a doctor that ask you questions. The process is about 6 hours. Most of it is because you will be waiting to be attended to.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by shupy: 7:49am On May 08, 2021
I still don't understand why some applicants are waiting for medical request before going for their medical exam. It's imperative you do the upfront medicals. The backlog is getting longer with each passing day. Waiting for medical request will cause unnecessary delay to your PPR.

Good evening everyone.
I’m about to submit my application finally but I have a question about the proof of funds.
My dad has a separate account specifically for university funds that he has been depositing money in. That is the account we got mybankstatement for. However I’ve been reading the past few pages of this thread and I’m seeing that there has to be proof that he can support the other members of my family as well. Do I explain in the letter of sponsorship that this account is solely for university fees or do I need to give proof of money in another account.
If there's sufficient amount in the second account, you can also submit it, but I'm guessing that's not the case so a letter of sponsorship stating the funds in the MBS provided is solely for your Canadian education and maybe living expenses.

I love pdf .. I even paid 1700 oh for a month and I still can’t get it done.. I’m exhausted
If the size is going to reduce by excluding the regular statement of account, remove it and just include MBS.

Good morning everyone.

I'm in a very serious dilemma here. I am right in my bank (Sterling Bank) with a customer service rep to get mybankstatement for my study permit application. First, they told me that they don't issue bank statements using MBS. After a heated argument with them and several calls to their other branches, they accepted to do it.

They told me that they can only send a copy MBS to the receiving embassy, without me, the account holder having any access to it. Please, I want to know if anyone banking with Sterling Bank has experienced that kind of thing while requesting his MBS from the bank. And if that's what obtains with the bank, how then will I upload my POF on my GCkey account in the space provided for Proof of means of financial support?

Your urgent response would be highly appreciated.
You should be provided an MBS certificate. That's what you're going to upload.

I have a bsc in Physics gotten 2010. Then a masters in geophysics gotten in 2015. However, I’ve been working in the banking industry since I graduated from my bsc. Since my msc is not related to what I do, is there any reason to mention it during my application? I’m going for pgd course that’s related to my work experience. Can someone please advise?

Thank you
I wouldn't mention it

At the moment it's just required for the so called NSE. However, NSE is becoming an essential requirement for study permit. There are lot free materials online. I don't consider the exam difficult. You must be prepared for the exam especially as a first timer.

Goodmorning house, Pls I have a few questions I need your help on. I have been admitted to Postgraduate Diploma Program in Business Administration at MUN for fall 2021. The next stage for me now is Visa application. Please I need your advise as to how to go about Proof of funds. My undergraduate education was in Petroleum Engineering, and I graduated in 2011. Ever since I worked the first five years as a Project engineer with an engineering company and was involved in project management and construction related projects, afterwards I joined the bank as a marketer where I still work and do part time home lesson for kids. The money in my personal account is no where near the required tuition plus living expenses (13000CAD). Someone had advised that I defer till January and take the next four months to build the required funds in my account as my age is way above that for parental sponsorship since I will be 36yrs by September and not married. Please I need the gurus in the house to advise me on what to do, as I read that visa application must be made by May 15, 2021 in other to join fall class of 2021
Am no expert. In fact I'm just an applicant. You being self sponsored applicant, you will need to show way more fund than an applicant that's being sponsored. You're going for a 2 year course. Although the financial requirement states an applicant must show funds for 1 year tuition and 10k CAD. That might not be the case for self sponsored applicants. You require a lot of fund. Defer your admission and build up your account. You might also consider going for a 1 year course rather than 2.
You should be concerned about the program you're going for. I can't make sense of how you're going to convince the VO the reason you're going for the course. It just doesn't seem genuine, but if you feel you have a very good explanation, then you're good to go.

Please to gurus in the house

I'm about applying for my study visa for fall 2021, through general route but I'm planning to submit my IELTS score (6.0 overall band). I'm not going through NSE due to the 30kCAD.

Is it advisable to submit my IELTS score upfront?
Is it also advisable to submit my MBS and medical report upfront?

IF I submit all the necessary documents upfront, how will it affect my application?
MBS and IELTS are the requirement of NSE. 30k CAD is just an estimated cost. You must be able to show 1 year tution fee + living expenses preferably above 10k CAD. It's advisable to submit everything including upfront medicals when applying. It might not necessarily expedite the application process but helps in avoiding unnecessary delay in the process.

There is a family member representative form. I'm the one doing practically everything and the visas are being submitted via my account. Do I get my mum to sign under this form appointing me as the representative?

Then for all these forms they gave me to fill, Adobe is saying I can't save changes to some. Does that mean I have to print, fill and then scan them? For the signatures as well, do I need to print and sign then scan?
I don't know about who is to sign but you don't need to print anything. You require Adobe version 10 to fill those forms. If you've downloaded the forms, you open with Adobe 10. For signature, all you need to input is a name. Since 17 is considered a minor, I will suggest you input your mother's name as the signature.
NB: I see Frankrobbn1 has done a follow-up to your enquiry. Go with his advice regarding the signature
