HorlarJP:
Lastly will 15m in my sponsor account be enough for proof of funds after paying tuition fees because my previous refusal on my GCMS notes is that the VO is concerned of the company account (20m+) I used (maybe it he funds will not be available for me) While the sponsor personal savings is low (5million) then When submitting a company/bussines account, one must ensure a bank reference letter is provided. The 15m is sufficient but having your sponsor provide you your living expenses goes a long way to prove you have genuine access to funds. |

Reomond: Greetings to the Elders!
I got admission into University of Windsor Summer 2022 and University of Regina for Winter 2022 for Master, Human Resources Managment. Both are for 2 years and tuition is within the same range.
Also, i just got another admission into Royal Roads University, BC for Master in Global Management 19months with COOP and a bit cheaper than the 2 above.
My confusion is now confused and i am hereby pleading for the elders to please come forward and advice me.
i am 40, self sponsored and my kids will join me later
Thank you! All I'm going to say is that COOP is a very valid reason one can state in the SOP for choosing to study in Canada. You can't get that in Nigeria. 4 Likes |

kennyjoy: @Frank @Justmellow @Anon123 @LekkiBOBOe @Shuppy and all other gurus, I really need your input on this,
P.S Is it possible I use 1 stone to kill 2 Bird? I got an offer letter from Nova Scotia community college few days ago but it was an Automatic deferment for next intake-fall 2022, the reason was that I submitted my application very late and there was no JAN/MAY intake for my program and I was told i will be offer a seat by October so I can start my study permit application.
Also, my Spouse just apply to Durham college MAY 2022 intake but still waiting for there decision. So I need y’all input about going with the study permit package.
ME: The program am going for @NSCC is 2yrs program, I have 15yrs experience related to the program but 11yrs study Gap, I will be the one to sponsor myself and I may likely have a CO sponsor too and that will be my close uncle.
Spouse program is just one year PGD/PGC, Spouse has 2years experience related to the program and 3yrs study Gap. Also, I will be the one sponsoring her.
Now My questions is, • Who will likely get the Study permit(ME or my Spouse) though we still deliberating of who to go first but the GOAL is one of us most be in CANNY by next year.
• Can we submit our study permit application together(separate application) ? is it possible for VO to findout in the sense that will be submitting likely same Docs(Home ties, Assets, Marriage certificate and so many like that.
Abeg make una help reason ham.
Thanks.
1. Since your program is for September intake of 2022, let your spouse apply first if her resumption date is earlier than yours. Your application won't be given priority if resumption date is still that far 2. Submitting 2 separate applications together is not arrangement I'd advise you to do. 1 Like |

hdior: Hello, our lovely gurus here. Please I need your help.
What program would you advise me to go for? First degree Engineering and MBA (Business Admin) with over 10 years of Banking experience in operations and customer services. Can I go for another Masters program or PG Certificate? If yes, What Program can I go for?
Many thanks. If your MBA was done in Nigeria or in a country that has no close ties with Canada, then I will advise you not to disclose it in your application. Lekiboboe is the go to person for programs suggestion but his schedule has obviously and understandably become tighter since he moved. Whether you decide to go for masters or postgraduate program, the program has be in line with banking and finance. |

While booking for appointment online, can i pick any day of my choice or it is vfs that will indicate that?
Yah, am coming from Ondo, for example, what if someone got there later than the appointment time... You can choose any date and any time. However, there won't be any progress with the application without biometrics once it's requested. You will still be allowed even if you get there later than appointment time. 2 Likes |

My career prospect is tied to my home country and that is the basis of my LOE as well. Meanwhile, my career prospect is in line with my current job and the business I established in Nigeria.
I'd appreciate if you could please expatiate this "Truth is, expatriate application for study visa is always dicey especially when applying from Middle Eastern region" IRCC office in Saudi, UAE etc have a high refusal rate for expatriates. One common reason is home tie. However I do think you have a good shot because of your establishment in Nigeria. You must capitalize on it in your SOP to stand a chance. |

zackysmith11: Good evening seniors in the house, please I need your guidance on how to apply for my Canada study permit along with my family.
I have recently gained admission to a University in Canada for a master's degree programme.
Please I need clarification and guidance on the following.
I have been working in the Middle East for more than 6 years, my job is in line with the intended study program in Canada and I have a resident permit along with my spouse, two (2) children inclusive but I do not have enough ties here other than my job and a car.
On the other hand, I have a well-established business in Nigeria since 2018 with CAC certification and we have other assets that could be used as proof of home ties in Nigeria such as land and a house.
My major concern is where I currently reside (Middle East), I do not have any means of a tie except my Job and a car as stated earlier and I wish to apply with my family members because my two children are still very young (age 6 and age 2) and they would need someone to look after them.
Could you please advise if what we have in Nigeria is sufficient as ties to my home country (Nigeria) and not having ties in the country of residence in the Middle East will not raise a red flag?
Your advice is highly appreciated.
The ties you have to Nigeria is somewhat sufficient, but your career prospect, do you intend to tie it to your home country or temporary country of residence. Truth is, expatriate application for study visa is always dicey especially when applying from Middle Eastern region. |

Timegi99: While I am uploading the passport tho. Do I do any other thing. No receipt. No photographer information. Just upload, and submit and IRCC would accept it? Not necessary |
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by shupy: 6:29am On Aug 27, 2021 |
Timegi99: I think this is a dumb question so don't judge me. For online applications how do you go about the digital photo. I used Visafoto.com but I saw You must also upload the photographer's information (name, address and date the photo was taken) to the "Client Information" item, under Optional Documents. We accept the photographer's receipt or a text file. I actually just took a selfie and used visafoto to change it to ircc standards. Don't know exactly how to address the above. Please help You have the option of going to take passport photograph and you will have the option of having a digital copy sent to you Or you snap and crop available passport photograph of yourself using your phone. |

jollytravels: GOOD EVENING ALL,
AM new here please can someone help me answer this question if am applying alone for student visa and am self sponsoring myself do my husband still need to give me his statement, i have my statement. payslips , properties document etc, But since we are both civil servant i have added his appointment letter, letter of last promotion and pension statement which i have also added for myself as the applicant. This is to show proof that in my absence he can take care of the kids, and he added a consent letter permitting me to go for study visa and that he will take charge of the home front please will that suffice? Your husband's statement of account is not a requirement, however if there's sufficient fund in it, then it's a plus to your application. |

Ikechi17: Good morning house , I submitted my application on the 3rd of June 2021 done biometric and upfront medical and it's has been updated ,and yet no reply till now . My school starts on the 9th of September , and I have until 15th September to ask for refund and withdrawal. my program can't be done offline and there is no deferment. Please what should I do if I don't get a decision before 15th September . Request for a refund by September 6 but do not withdraw your study permit application. If your application gets approved after admission withdrawal, reach out to your school, and if their response is unfavourable, apply to another school. |

Jioke1994: Hi @shupy and @Lekiboboe Pls, I need u guys to respond. I was advised by shupy and justmellow that my sponsor (my uncle) should send some amounts to my account for my living expenses. Is it better for him to do a deed gift of 3million, or he should just send it to my account like that? Secondly, in order to prove home ties with a landed property, should my mum (co-sponsor) do a deed gift of her landed property, or I should just use it as home ties while the property is in her name? Pls, you can as well give me some sentences to prove home ties with a landed property. I will edit as well. I'm good at that. Thanks a lot. I have absolutely no idea how highly regarded a gift of deed is in a VO's point of view. However, It's better if the property is in your home. It shouldn't be your main home tie. I didn't submit any landed property documents. Your main home tie should be career prospects in your home country. Don't emphasize too much on the property ownership. Just mention you own one and it was gifted to you by your mum. 1 Like |
