Romance / Re: Love Triangle by sidje005(m): 3:13pm On Oct 30, 2007
firstly, traditional marriage is part of the cultural bedrock of the people, they cherish it a lot. legal marriage is more of a formalistic form of marriage meant to formally announce the marriage in case of sociopolitical matters. it will be imperative if you note that even after most traditional marriages, the couple still head for the court. so it is always two-in-one. but before i can profer further answers to your question i'd like to say, u are not yet in the triangle, its just an apparent triangle that will be formed only if you wish to be a new vertice. your own personal disposition matters in the situation but like an important adage amongst the yorubas, "oja ti omo ba ti wo okuta ti wo", a marriage that has a child in between, is very delicate. but see check it out this way, if you love him "madly" like he loves you and you are so willing to get him, bear it in mind that you are automatically a second wife. because no matter hw mad he is he will still kip it in mind that he has a son and i dnt think it he would like to jeopardize that. and then if he wants to jeopardize that because he said he madly loves you? girl thats a better indication that the stick we use in chatising the first wife is in stock for the second wife,  traditional marriages are accepted in the laws of the land and hence it is quite formal/ look before you leap

Religion / What Is Religion by sidje005(m): 6:15pm On Oct 13, 2007
what is religion? i ask. is it the act of going to churches or mosques to listen to readings of he holy book? or is it simply a means by which man connects with his God? i simply stay of with the view that if we as Africans were left with our own religion and beliefs without the introduction of any foreign religion, somethings would be easily cubbed in our environment. imagine if our leaders are to attend a session in Ogun shrine before mounting the helms of affairs, or simply put why do we have men of God that still patronize the herbalists?, and for once, what if the religions are mere write-ups by some disillusioned persons just to make the world divide into sects? i mean what if the real truths are hidden to us? have you seen DaVinci code? what if the subject of the writer's fiction is really a thing of reality?. i'm not a lost soul mind you, but sometimes we need to evaluate certain things that has been coded into our brains as fixed. i strongly believe that God is as close to us as w ca be, it depends on the way you perceive him to be, and you can talk to him in whatever form you chose.

Politics / Re: The True Picture Of Nigeria by sidje005(m): 1:33pm On Aug 22, 2007
nice write-up bro, though the posting seems to carry much of the pains u feel, the point is still crystal. the true Nigerian picture, however, can really be seen in our ivory towers. wanna ask why? because in there, lots of eyesores are seen as good things. to some ends when i take a look at our education system it seems as if the schools are not functioning. how then can we improve on ourselves when we are not feeding the youths with necessary thing. u see, if care is not taken. it will take the complete overhaulage of this generation to set things in motion.
