Chief please one last question, what job category do I fall in under International relations and diplomacy?? And I am going through dubrizzle and feel UAE certifications are better taken to give me a edge. But I agree with you that attestation will broaden my scope for more jobs
I don't have an answer to this question. The person in was referring to Got the job from Nigeria. The company he's with is an affiliate of the company he worked with in Nigeria so he didn't have to search for a job in UAE. All that was require was certificate attestation and the rest was done after arrival in UAE by the company

Go to the ministries ( Education and foreign affairs )and find your way through. You dont get attestation done on social media through contacts.

Thank you.

Almost done at Min of Edu . Is Eligibility letter a requirement at UAE embassy for employment or just proof of attestation from Min of Edu and Foreign affairs

It not possible to get your attestation done in a day....
Ministry of foreign affairs closes by 12 noon Monday to Friday.....
Except you go thru express which would cost you a thousand naira with the right contact......
But going tru the normal process ..if you are fast..4 working days is enough to get all sorted out......
Please how do I run express?

honey001:

Yes, very well...Just go there early in the morning...You can start the application online at the comfort of your house, pay, upload the documents you want to attest and print them out, but if you don't have access to all these at home, just go to the business center at the Premises of the Ministry of Education, it will be done for you at a fee, then you proceed to get it authenticated. So it's much more possible you get it in a day.

Thanks for this, how early would I need to get there ?

Alright, no problem.

Hi , I need to attest my degree certificates at ministry of education, can I get this done in 1 day (tomorrow)

Currently in abuja
Travel / Re: QATAR AND UAE GENERAL VISA ENQUIRIES Part 3 by sifo: 7:03pm On Nov 03, 2020
Uwaiwe:

For attestation you need original copies of your certificates. You must provide and attest original copy of school cert at Ministry of Education before they touch other certificates. Then foreign affairs and UAE embassy to attest required cert.

Is it possible to get attestation done at both ministries plus UAE embassy in one day ?

Also do they have specific days of work?

Anyone with a viable contact should help a brother

Hello Ope & other experts

Thanks for the insight provided here, i read through pages 12-13 as you advised for clarity.

Im in Lagos but i need to get my docs authenticated in Abuja for visa purposes. An agent offered to help me do it in Abj , see below;

- Marriage Cert attestation -2k for MOFA and 22k for UAE embassy
- Degrees (WAEC & BSC) - 38K fee for MOE & MOFA and an additional 22k per certificate at the UAE embassy

While the above pricing is v expensive, pls do you know agents with better pricing. Also, what is the cost in the UAE embassy for viewing & authenticating docs.

Thanks

Is it possible to get documents attested with statement of result? Bsc and MSC need this urgently for a UAE job offer

I apologise on behalf of our people who erroneously assume that UAE is haven for unskilled labour only where salary range is peanut.

Junior Engineers and Technicians in oil services companies as well as ADNOC earn from 25000AED gross monthly tax free.

In company where I have first hand knowledge Nigerians and other Africans earn btw 3500AED and 5000AED per month as housing allowance.

You don't need to be a manager to earn 35000AED. You skills, expertise and grace of God determine industry you find yourself in UAE.
As a professional 35000AED isn't not so incredible. DD and field Engineers earn as much as 1000AED daily allowance in UAE and other gulf countries. Some Nigerians in Dubai and Abu Dhabi belong to this group .

Back to your initial question, With 6000AeD, you can afford a decent accommodation in JLt or Tecom for a month. A combo suite in byblos hotel, first central hotel Tecom is within that range.

You will comfortably live in Dubai like your fellow expats from other continents with 35000AED.

Pardon your brothers. People contribute within their experience. May God help us all

For certificate attestation, do you know if the ministry of education and UAE embassy accepts Statement of results or it has to be the Orignial degree certificate

A friend got an offer of about 30,000 AED monthly. Is this sufficient to live in the city centre and have significant savings? Any details of what the key monthly expenses would be for a single

The person currently earns around N1m monthly in Nigeria. Key concern is to be sure that cost of living I the city centre won't leave him with less after relocating

Chief, i got an invite for a chat tomorrow.

Should i expect anything different to a normal chat?

Behavioural questions . Also expect questions like: why should we hire you, what value can you add , what areas would you recommend MTN to improve etc. Prepare like your going for an normal interview

Same with me. My panel had the head of the role I applied to, so am not really getting the need for another interview.

As @Olufabulous stated in his post , the next interview is with the Executive of the Division you'll be working in. Your last interview was with Senior Managers I think.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: MTN Graduate Development Programme Aptitude Test Invite by sifo: 6:14pm On Feb 18, 2018
No it's not a whole day. It's a panel interview with senior managers from the department you applied for and HR. Should be a maximum of 1 hour

Pick a topic relevant to the role and find a way to make it related to MTN or Telecommunications. Good luck

Thanks much boss. This time around, we are required to prepare power point presentation of the role we are applying for and send it to them via email on or before the assessment centre day.

All the info you need to prepare for your MTN assessment center. This post is based on the 2016 recruitment so topics would have changed but format most likely still same . Goodluck people
badman924:

Hello, i was part of the recruitment process last yr but didn't get the offer. Here's what I can remember from the assessment center last yr:

The assessment center has 6 activities:

1. Group Discussion- The group discussion topic was something around: A telecoms company was about to implement a verification system and other products. The challenges with this implementation where: 1. Traditional customers may not buy into the new idea 2. Cost of hiring expatriates to implement new products 3. Struggle with corrupt government officials. We had 30 mins to discuss then put together our answers on a sheet.

Second part of the case study required a decision to be made on whether to acquire a company that started as part of the group but broke out and is now experiencing challenges due to poor administration and bear market conditions. Its major market is East Africa and it has built up a lot of debt which would be inherited by whoever acquires it.
Task: Identify the problems and solutions, make a decision after Identifying the advantages and disadvantages of each scenario.

You have to be very conscious of time here and also contribute during the discussion, try to take a responsibility in the group either as Time keeper, Scribe, Preparing the final answer sheet or maybe group leader. Respect everyone's opinion and be audible wen u talk.

2. Presentation: 10 minutes presentation on one of three topics sent a day to the assessment center. Topics for last yr: Significance of customer satisfaction on business growth, Importance of negotiation skills in closing sales, Impact of Telecommunication on economic growth.

Tips: Your name, date and topic should be on the title slide, keep to time while presenting, use a case study preferably Nigeria and related to MTN, have references for everything you mention, use more of data/facts and less of stories if possible, put a touch of yellow in your slides, plain background is always the best.Be confident in your presentation, the panel would try to prove some of your points to be wrong and test your confidence. Last yr the topics changed on each day of the assessment center so i wont advice you practicing with the ones i've listed here.

3. Panel Interview:
• Tell us about your self
• Your strengths
• Tell us of a time you showed integrity
• Tell us of a time you showed innovation
• What are MTN’s core values ----- (Very important, Pls do your research about MTN and its core values)
• How do your qualification fit the job role
• Any questions for us? (Ask a smart question oh)

4. Essay: The essay was computer based and we had about 45 mins (not sure of the time): We had three topics to choose one to write about. Topics – Benefits of team building in the work environment, Socio-psychological impacts of redundancy , can't remember the last one.

5. PSENSE: Test on Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook. MS office 2010, practical computer simulation tests where you have a document to edit for each software and you are given instructions on what operation to perform. 25 questions for 15 mins for each of them. Outlook allows you only three clicks per questions while other software’s allow you multiple clicks. Time is very important (Note: The test on Outlook was the hardest for me. So practice using outlook well)

6. E-basket: consist of four stages and is estimated to be completed within 60 minutes, although it is not timed, time of completion is factored in deciding final score. You will be required to respond to mails and assists colleagues at work in a computer based avatar like simulated environment. Some of the mails require calculations to arrive at your answers and require you to take notes as contents of the mails will be required to make decisions later on. The other stages are personality and decision making questionnaire and making a summary of office complaints from three mails and picking out the most common complaints then composing a mail 100 – 800 words long.

Assessment center was a full day, started around 9 am and ended by 5pm on my day. They provided breakfast and lunch tho. Good luck with the assessment center, I hope this helps. (NB: Pls ignore any typographical errors in this write-up).
