Education / Re: My Course Was Unaccredited By NUC. What's Next? by Silentmind(m): 8:02am On Aug 11, 2016
pxjosh:
It's not even a department. Its pharmacy, and pharmacy in uniben is a faculty on its own. We have a separate administrative building, built recently. The lecture theatres and Labs are at quite a distance from the new admin building.

To some extent I think we were unaccredited because we still receive lectures at old theatres/labs, while lectures are enjoying the luxury of the new building.

Or probably because they take in much more students than the facilities can cover for.

Let's see how things play out.

Pharmacy in UNIBEN will be accredited in no time. It will not affect you. Just continue your studies. Even if u graduate and you have no certificate, they will still call you guys and give it to you.

Pharmacy in UNIBEN is a very important faculty, they must churn out graduates.

The bolded is soooo very correct.
I'd advice she focused on bettering her life instead because if she continues with this, higher powers and the powers that be will frustrate her efforts.

She isn't the first person with the idea. And she surely will not be the last the powers would frustrate.

Her ideas would only work if Nigeria changed for good.
And I don't think that would happen anytime soon.

Ma'am, your ideology is the major reason why the whole region is still backward. I know its difficult, but don't make humans look like gods.

Good afternoon everyone, I have an issue troubling me that I hardly sleep these past few days. For about 4 days ago, I slept and woke up with my left ear blocked, as in blocked I could hardly hear with it.

At first I took it as nothing serious, could be that water mistakenly got into it while I was showering, or could be the normal stuff that happens once in a while to which I'd have to yawn and it pops up but no! It didn't open up till the whole day went by and am getting scared already as it getting worse by the day.. I have used chloramphenicol eardrop but it's not helping matters at all.. I just bought oto-med eardrops today and hoping something good happens but still, I want to know if anyone had this issue in the past, how did u solve it

Literature / Re: Why Are Books On Igbo Culture, Identity, History Etc Expensive. by Silentmind(m): 6:32am On Jul 09, 2016
My friend, I am also facing the same challenge. I have spent the last three nights trying to get one online. Its either they refer to one whack website or they ask me of my location and the library there. If you tell them you are in Nigeria, they ask the location in Nigeria.

I believe these books are not common and contains concrete history of the people of Igbo extraction. Many were written by slaves, educated slaves in diaspora and were kept for safe keep. Their knowledge about the history was helped by the education they got from the slave masters.

Just screenshots of those books showed the quality of its content and quality cannot be found everywhere.

I will keep trying until I finally get a few books to stock and keep for myself and kids.

I don't know why this thread is not on front page. I really think many people need to read and assimilate what happened rather than fighting tribal fights. But no, they will keep depriving young minds the truth about the past.

I am aware the ministry of solid minerals has started tackling the problem.

Gold is also our collective wealth.

Please, if you have tfare. I will take you to Baure, Dankanma, achilafia, jibia and other parts of the north where solid minerals are mined. Let's see if you see any JTF or soldiers shooting them.

If you need info about sokoto gold, I will connect you to my friend Williams, he'll take you to different places where gold are mined illegally. You will see pure gold worn by these Hausa's.

Please, I say please again. You should try and travel to rural areas in the north and see what is happening there. I have travelled and I have seen.

What we condemn in the south is what they do openly in the north e.g fuel black market.

Come to the north, let me take you out.

Very intelligent sets of young officers. It has completely changed some of my perceptions about ojukwu. He is not a valian and he quite understand what he wants and he was very bold to spell it out. Such documents ought to be at public domain and easily accessible to Nigerians. Thanks op for this. I'll print it out and reread it.

You are very correct.

The other soldiers wanted to sweep the root cause under the carpet and accept Gowon like that but he stood his ground and fought to the end.

Is it not a shame that your youths are bunch of never - do - well that's why the companies in your land are dominated by Igbo, yoruba, hausa, Edo , Delta and people of other parts Of Rivers State. How many Ikwerre people are working in those offices? Check the shops in PH how many are owned by your people.? All that your useless youths know how to do is to lazy about and be blocking the gates of companies and snatching money from them to go and waste. Kalabari people are much better than you people. PH is your land but people of other tribes are making meaninful living out of it while you people are lazying about. I prefer to regard Ndoki people as my brothers than irrelevant Ikwerre people.

Stop acting as if you read better than anyone else here. Oil was discovered in different minute quantities in different parts of the country before the 1920s. Oil was discovered in old Ebonyi state in the 1920s or so. Stop bragging.

Before you get worked up, I know on do state the most blessed state in yorubaland while other are just there. You can only brag with ondo state because I know what the state can produce with regards to mineral resources.

Big man stop merging bitumen with liquid oil. Bitumen is a solid fuel while crude is liquid.

Bitumen can give heavy oil after you melt under catalytic cracking in the presence of some catalysts.

If you say on do state has 40billion in reserves of bitumen, I will still say you are lying.

I can also say Enugu has 100billion in reserves of coal because I can convert coal to heavy oil using Belgius Process.

Stop fuming as if you went to school in Mars.

The plan was right but he didn't have the trust of Nigeria not to waste the ploughed back subsidy.

If the scenario occurs again with GEJ at the helms, we will resist him. There lies the difference.

Your ability to call to know GEJ is corrupt as at January 2012 creates a very big hole in your reasoning. As at then, GEJ was considered by many as the saviour of our economy. You did not support because of what tinubu and his cronies told you in Ojota.

You were happy to fight against him in 2012 and allow some few oil marketers whisk away over a trillion of our money just because you feel a man is corrupt? How do you people reason things? So, to you, it was better that these men eat our money than the government.

You also forgot that palliatives were initiated to cushion the effect of the subsidy removal but you guys fought against it.

You guys fought against it, to the extent that you said it doesn't exist, why is it existing now?

You want me to reason with you when you did not reason with me then.
