Hey guys......

This one na serious question o.... on CIC website, processing time changes every week. At 1st, I used to think that the processing time for that week is applicable to those who applied for that week.

E.g. around late May, with the 1st 2 weeks in June, processing time was 13weeks..... And approaching ending June, July, it turned into 16weeks. Now if applied when processing time was 13weeks (say May ending) does it mean that as we are in July now, my application of 13weeks estimated processing time (as at when I applied in May) will turn into 16weeks (July)??

Pls Gurus, help..... Cuz this is confusing. What are your thoughts??

My aunt applied for her visa when it was 13 weeks processing time, but when she tried to ask about her visa since 13 weeks had passed, they sent her a mail that the current processing time is 16 weeks, and as her application is not up to 16 weeks, she has to wait until then before she makes any query.

Hold your approval letter (document), school admission letter etc and of course your passport. For the clothes, Canada is presently on sale and u can get cheap winter jackets now coz winter or fall isn't here now. The weather is hot now so light clothes will do fine. However if you are coming in august, it would be good to get your cardigans ready please do as you would be needing it as at the time u re coming in.

For food they are more concerned about diary products like milk, nuts etc. You would be asked to declare it on the form given to you in the plane and the officer would ask u what it is and that's all. They really don't seize or check it. However I have also seen someone whose box was searched at the airport but for many people they don't.

Cheers

Thank you

Good evening house,

Please for those that have already traveled or anyone with experience in these areas, what documents, toiletries, clothes etc would you advice us to carry as we travel to canada. What documents would we need for enrollment and at the border, etc. I have read some comments about the jackets and jeans we should hold and the ones we needn't bother about. But I want clarification especially as to documents for enrollment and foodstuff. Thanks you.

I jus saw this bro.
I have not. My total bill is 27, 300CAD and uncle is not willing to assist.
I just got a confirmation letter from nddc and my sch is willing to write to cic that I am not required to pay tuition till I resume. With those 2 letters, I am believing God to perfect it. I should respond to cic by next week by God's grace.

Please were you part of the 2017 nddc applicants?

Congratulations to you.
You'd have more causes to celebrate this year.
I celebrate with you too.
Mine is next.
Thank you God.

Thank you. Amen o, I receive those causes to celebrate in Jesus name. By the grace of God I will celebrate with you too and very soon too in Jesus name. May God that holds the hearts of kings in his hearts turn the hearts of the vo officers to favour you and every trv hopeful in Jesus name. Amen.

Greetings to everyone. Please I want to encourage everyone who knew this thread before before submitting their applications to try and find some1 with good experience to vet all documents before submitting. @chonewillie can attest to that he came to my office and use the system to refill all his CIC forms becos of mistakes and at the end he got it. Again most delayed and approved applicant don't have their monikers registered on the trv hopeful list. Please endeavour to give us your details if you discover the thread before and after submission respectively. God help us all.

Hello,

I actually got to know this thread since last year, but I was a silent observer. I finally tried to post comments and ask questions around may before my application for trv but couldn't, due to login issues. I had to apply like that when I couldn't ask my questions and fortunately with a little help from friends and great help from God my trv was approved. I don't know if I count among the monikers you spoke of in the above comment, but these are my details.

University of British Columbia- applied December 7th 2016, admission march 30th 2017, Trv applications paper route with upfront medicals- may 26th 2017, approved July 7th.

This thread really helped a lot and gave me hope through it all, especially that motto "it shall end in praise, I kept declaring it. I really wish everyone the best and I pray that God turns all tears to great jubilation and laughter.

Actually, concerning the financial availability I wrote there($19k) a friend in University of Alberta ask me to fill it like that. He said that was how he filled his own and his visa was approved.

All observations duly noted, thanks guys

Hello,

I'm have been a silent observer but couldn't comment for a long time due to login issues. Finally had to create a new profile. I applied on may 26th and got my approval on July 7th. I had a first class like u and had a scholarship that practically covered my tuition. I filled 8000cad for board and room and 3000 cad for others. So I don't really know if stating 19k was the problem for you. I don't know how much your yearly tuition is though. I'm not a guru though, just trying to help.

I got problem with an application fee paid with Master card, so the school is demanding that i should purchase *Money order* Please how do i go about it?
I have no knowledge of money order.

The University representative that contacted ask me to purchase the money order and send it to the Graduate school address but he never provided the account number and name, i asked him but he told me it's not needed.

Please kindly inform with any information you have on money order in Nigeria.

Thanks in anticipation

Hello,

Just saw your post and I was interested because I also applied to western (although I declined it for ubc). I applied with first bank's visa debit card which acts as a credit card. For your money order however, I know first bank does moneygram. You could make enquiries.

Also send an email explaining your situation to western pg admissions and ask for the best way out and if moneygram would be acceptable.

I wish you all the best.
