Hi, VO,

I would like to know if CGFNS CP Certificate and VisaScreen Certificate are still required for Registered Nurse EB3 visa approval. I'm asking because the Consular Officer who interviewed me some days ago was NOT interested in seeing these certificates. When I presented the CGFNS CP Certificate, the officer said, 'What's this?'. She also said she was NOT interested in what any organization has stated. Rather, she insisted that I submit an official school record and description of the courses taken, despite having seen my transcripts. Also, she insisted that I submit an official job description of all the places I have previously worked, despite having seen my resume. I tried to explain to her that CGFNS International has evaluated my credentials, and found out that my educational qualification meet that of a first level Registered General Nurse, and as such I was permitted to take the CGFNS Certification Program Exam which I passed, and I passed the IELTS test as well. However, she wouldn't let me.

Regards,

Simple16....it appears we broke the rules. The posts have been hidden. Don't know how else to contact you as I don't have access to my NL email

Oh, oh, I don't know about the rules. What a pity!

It's over 6 weeks already, and Nursing Council has not sent my Verification of Certificate to CGFNS. I'm really tired of Nursing and Midwifery Council Nigeria and their very annoying delays.

Which state in the US did you send your application to for the NCLEX?

P406:
I'm a silent observer. I have to say this concerning paying for NCLEX from Nigeria.
If you are encountering problems paying, it's not a network issue.
Simply have someone pay for you using a card that is not a Nigerian card. All you have to do is to change your address on Pearson website while registering to be the same as the address on the person's card paying for you. It's not a same name thing as someone commented above but a same address thing.
Had similar experience, had to change my address to my uncle's address and it's worked. Pearson vue will tell you that Nigerian card is not acceptable cos the addresses on it are not traceable.
I'm on my way to the states more tips on employer issues. I signed with passport USA .

Cool. So my timing was on the mark!

Like you, I got an email from cgfns.

BUT

Still struggling with CGFNS verification.

They queried the documentation sent by the council.

The problems have to do with the nursing council back home having a policy of attaching their transcript to CGFNS documentation instead of filling the documentation the CGFNS sends.

I just hope you don't end up facing the same trouble.

Once that is cleared will be able to take the NCLEX exam

MPVGoddess, which state inthe US did you send your application to for NCLEX?

The problem i am having with cgfns is not a general thing, it was a mistake on my part. Cgfns will get your license validation form within 1 month of submission and if everything is ok then you dont have any problem.

OK, thank you. I would be very glad if CGFNS receives my Validation of licence form from Nursing Council within 1 month.

Hi, so sorry for the late reply. Yes, you can write your exam when you are already in usa. It's good you already have a current visa, let's just hope your CES report will be ready before the visa expires.

For me, I had to place my own on hold because of some unresolved issues with Nursing council and cgfns. But they are currently working on it.

Hi, Barbiee, what kind of issues do CGFNS and Nursing Council have? Are the issues related to CGFNS Validation of licence form? If yes, do you know if these issues have been resolved now?

P406:

visa screen enables you to get a working visa /green approved.
without it as an alien worker, you can not be allowed to process your EB3 petition.
it's what seals ur green card as a foreign nurse.Expires after 5 years.

P406, how long did it take Nursing and Midwifery Council Nigeria to validate your Nursing licence?

If you were requesting something from a large, bureaucratic organization, with many other similar requests, wouldn't it make sense to include a reason?

Regards,
VO

OK, I get it. I actually wanted to confirm.
Thank you

If you already have your interview date, you can try to reschedule now. Write LagosIV@state.gov for instructions.

Regards,
VO

Thank you, VO, for your quick response.
I would like to know if it's necessary to state my reason for requesting a later interview date in the email to LagosIV.

Due to our volume, rescheduling IV interviews will be at least 90 days from the original date unless you can show extraordinary circumstances for the expedited appointment. Expedited appointments are rarely granted.

Regards,
VO

When can the rescheduling be done? Is it when one's case file arrives at the US Consulate? My case file is still at NVC but I have received my interview appointment letter for January interview.

Hello, VO, I would like to know if EB3 visa interview can be rescheduled. If yes, when will the new date be? In 1 or 2 months ?
