As innn...So true! I will make further enquiries. Thanks loadz for your response.

The port health main office by the toll gate does not work weekends.
However, the port health in the airport works all day for 24hours. Get to the airport early and get it from there. It takes about 10mins if there's no queue.

Hello simplysu,

Which site did you book a shuttle from JFK to Philly?

You have to call and pre-book and give them your arrival time at jfk. 215 333 1441

Hallelujah!!! Who says there is no God? I got my visa today. ...

Pls I will be going to Philadelphia to have my baby pls which airline is affordable and stress free.what state is the best POE. Thanks

Congrats.
I'll suggest you fly arik; max 34 weeks to New York Poe. Philly Poe is a bit tricky. You can then take a shuttle to Philadelphia. It's about 50mins, and they'll drop you at you door and it's affordable too. That's what I did.
Hope it helps. My 2 kobo.

Thanks @simplysu.. Did you get an obstetrician before you left or you plan to do so after you meet with your financial advisor? If yes, can I have contact details for the ob/gyn you would be using? I'm asking Coz from all I have gathered here, you need a doctors correspondence asides the hospital correspondence. Help please.

Sorry am just seeing this, an obgyn was assigned to me when I booked an appointment and made payment.

Good evening.. This is my first post here.

Have been a silent follower and I must say I have gathered useful information so far.

I have a few concerns and would need sincere advice.

I applied for my b1/b2 visa for the first time in August 2015 and was denied.

I reapplied again in December 2015 to go spend the Christmas in Philadelphia. I had my interview on the 12th of December and was granted. I was asked to pick up in a few working days which I did. I didn't go for the Christmas holiday as my relative I was supposed to stay with was spending the Christmas in Nigeria.

I discovered I was pregnant early January of 2016. I sincerely had no idea a baby was forming in my tummy at the time of he interview. I have since used the visa for a holiday in February of this year.

My husband and I have since decided to birth our child in Philadelphia. My concerns are thus;

Got into philly on Monday, jfk Poe, no questions asked but proof that you can pay your bill you must have as you never know.
I don't think change of intent is necessary as you've used the visa for its stated purpose. I dint send any.
Using the same hospital and meeting my financial adviser on Tuesday.
All the best

[quote author=ChicMalkia post=44455137]After delivery, my hubby bought it in Naija at their Ikoyi office and it cost 10% of the price of my new York to Lagos ticket... not 10% of the return ticket price but 10% only of the New York to Lagos part of the trip.

thanks a bunch.

Not necessarily unless there are new rules now or maybe it depends on the airline...because on arik I was able to get a one way ticket for my infant back to Naija and she used a Naija visa...after all its a ticket being attached to yours na

am flying arik as well. Please did you buy ur baby arik ticket online or at the airport and how much. thanks

Hi all, please i have a concern which i'd love to be addressed. My trip is in a few days, however i previously had hosp & Dr correspondence wt Dr's appointment letter which i got during my trip to d US in December but i recently changed plans to a diff hosp due to proximity to accommodation(about 36mins closer than previous hosp; i am a first time mum n scared abt journeying 1hr30mins to hosp during labor) and price (saving me over $3k). However my mum got all the necessary info for me via phone (as shez based there) and general letter showing Dr & hosp cost was mailed (not emailed) to her. Bcz of this i do not have a direct correspondence wt hosp nor Dr and i do not wanna pay yet as I'll like to visit d hosp n Dr before concluding. Do you think the letter i have would suffice as proof at POE? If not, what do you suggest?

Pls il appreciate all possible advice. Tx

Hi damidamsel,
sent u an email. please respond. am headed to philly next month and wanna compare notes.
