Do you know that if the river Benue and niger is fully dredged the 6 geopolitical zones(NE,NW,SE,NC,SS,SW) and even neighboring countries can have unlimited access to sea and those that already have can have multiple access points. The niger and Benue are both rivers so what they have for now are river ports but if they fully dredged not only will it reduce flooding large ships will be able to berth even with oil tankers and it will also boost economic activities all round the country and ships will be able to berth in all regions like Niger(NW), Kogi Benue(NC),taraba(NE), edo asaba (SS) and Onitsha(SE). The river Rhine is one of longest rivers in Europe and it has been dredged that is why countries like Austria Switzerland that are landlocked don't use other countries port their own ships sail straight to their country and if it is done other countries like Mali, niger republic and Burkina Faso will be able to access the ocean(There ships will be under surveillance whenever they are in Nigeria territory) .But it may lead Nigeria to a breakup because if that is done it will solve the north biggest fear of been landlocked without access to sea.
