It's quite strange that Fani kayode that was bashing Igbo before has turned out to be on d side of Igbos just because his party is no more in power nd also cos he got married to an Igbo lady.

I have not 4gotten how he used to insult Igbos before to the point of boosting how he slept with Bianca Ojukwu before Ojukwu married her, just to portray Ojukwu as an as hole that married his left over girl.
Kayode even supported the eviction of Igbos in Lagos in 2011.

What did he do for the Igbos when he was aviation minister?

You just made a post for unskilled workers, have you tried the skilled positions, we have a lot of Nigerians here as experts working here and doing very well . They have come to realize that the most unskilled Nigerians are prone to crime.

It's not that bad as you say it I was engaged from Nigeria, my ticket and everything paid for by the company, and many others, we have a lots of Nigerians here holding Managerial positions.

And many more are still been employed from Nigeria.

Your post gave me hope. I really want to move to Dubai and work as a teacher. I've been teaching for 4years in China before coming home with my family. Any chance of getting something for me ? Petroleum Engineer by profession.

This is really bad! I remember when I was still searching for a job in Dubai, I managed to get an invitation for a job interview after thousands of fruitless job applications. But what got me infuriated was when I got there, the interviewer asked about my nationality, I told him am a Nigerian and he said "sorry we don't take Nigerians." Oh! I nearly pulled down that office that day. I was asking him whether he did not see where I boldly specified my nationality on my CV before inviting me for an interview. And I left all the way from Ajman to Dubai for that interview.
My brother how about teaching Jobs ? My Kenyan wife is advising me to move to Dubai for a better offer. Though I prefer staying in Kenya with my family than going to Dubai with all these news I'm reading.

Crime / Re: Why We Killed Three Policemen On Covert Duty "Nigerians Army Revealed" (photos) by SirChime(m): 8:14am On Aug 08, 2019
Maniagist1:
The Nigerian Army on Wednesday offered explanation for the killing of three policemen on covert duties in Taraba State by its personnel.

The explanation was offered in a statement by the spokesman of the Nigerian Army, Colonel Sagir Musa.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Deputy Commissioner of Police Frank Mba, had earlier in the day said three operatives in the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team, headed by DCP Abba Kyari, were killed by the soldiers in Taraba State despite identifying themselves as being on covert operation to arrest one Alhaji Hamisu, a suspected kidnapper.
Hamisu was said to have been involved in several crimes, collecting N100 million as ransom during one of such operations.

However, Mba said as Hamisu was being driven to the Police Command Headquarters in Jalingo, they were engaged in fierce shooting by soldiers, resulting in the death of three policemen, a civilian and the escape of the suspect.

But Musa countered Mba, saying the IRT operatives refused to stop at three military checkpoints and then engaged the soldiers in a shootout.

He said some villagers had raised the alarm that the operatives were in an unmarked bus and refused to stop at the checkpoints, which resulted in the soldiers giving them a hot chase.

On the unfortunate incident that occurred on the 6th of August 2019 in which troops of 93 Battalion Nigerian Army Takum pursued and exchanged fire with some suspected Kidnappers who indeed turned out to be an Intelligence Response Team from the Police Force Headquarters Abuja on a covert assignment from Abuja resulting in the death and injury of some members of the Team.

On the 6th of August 2019, the said Nigerian Army troops, while responding to a distress call to rescue a kidnapped victim exchanged fire with the suspected kidnappers along Ibi-Wukari Road in Taraba State.

The suspected kidnappers numbering about ten (10) and driving in a white bus with Reg No LAGOS MUS 564 EU refused to stop when they were halted by troops at three consecutive check points.

The flagrant refusal of the suspected kidnappers to stop at the three checkpoints prompted a hot pursuit of the fleeing suspects by the troops.

It was in this process that the suspected kidnappers who were obviously armed opened fire at the troops sporadically thus prompting them to return fire.

In the resultant fire fight, four (4) suspects were shot and died on the spot while four (4) others sustained various degrees of gunshot wounds and 2 others reportedly missing.

It was only after this avoidable outcome that one of the wounded suspects disclosed the fact that they were indeed Policemen dispatched from Nigerian Police, Force Headquarters, Abuja for a covert assignment.

Ogagist1:
General Ibrahim Babangida, a former military head of state has described Nigeria as complex and a difficult entity to manage.

Babangida spoke from his residence in Minna when the leadership of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, minority caucus of the House of Representatives, led by Ndudi Elumelu, paid him a visit.

Consequently, he called on the legislators to perform their responsibilities honourably and diligently to make the country one entity. Babangida, who said he had been following recent developments in the country, noted:

I am passionate in observing what is going on in the country; I have developed lots of interest in the ongoing across the country and I think the leadership of the House of Representatives, the speaker, the opposition leadership and everyone are all doing well.

You represent the people and it is what the people wish that you take up. I want to commend you for doing your job honourably and I urge you not to give up. The country is complex and difficult because in Nigeria, there are as many opinions as there are the number of people in the country. Nigeria is a very vibrant society and what is important is the determination to carry on and you have to remain very resilient in everything you do for the benefit of the country.”

Babangida assured the lawmakers of his support where necessary, saying: “We are all together for the progress of the country and now that you have succeeded in your elections, it is now time for you to settle down to do a lot of good work for your constituency and for the country.’’

Members on the entourage of the minority leader include the Minority Whip, Gibbion Gwari and Deputy Minority Whip, Adekoya Adesegun. Others are Efe Afe, Kpam Jimin Sokpo, Robert Tyough, Soyinka Anjola, Femi Bamishele, Benjamin Mzondu and Samuel Onuigbo.

Politics / Re: Presidency hails Nigerians for Ignoring Sowore’s #RevolutionNow Protests by SirChime(m): 8:47pm On Aug 05, 2019

POLITICSNIGERIA.COM

The Nigerian Presidency has praised Nigerians for ‘Ignoring’ the #RevolutionNow protests Organized by Sahara Reporters Founder, Omoyele Sowore, who is currently being detained by the Department of State Security Services, DSS.

Below is a statement signed by Presidential media aide, Garba Shehu, sent to POLITICS NIGERIA;

“Today, millions of Nigerians went about their businesses: work, seeking employment, attending schools/colleges and caring for their families. By doing so, the millions defended our country’s hard-won democratic rights – by ignoring calls on social media to join a phantom ‘revolution’.”

“There were a few hundred persons today who, for their own reasons, decided to act upon the demands of a group calling itself Global Coalition for Security and Democracy in Nigeria, which went on social media to ask everyday Nigerians to overthrow the government they only elected some six months ago.

“The President is humbled by the support – not for himself, or the governing party – but for the democratic values of modern-day Nigeria through the wisdom of those millions of citizens who preferred democracy and decided not to undermine an elected government.

“Today, joining those millions of Nigerians was not only the President and governing party at Federal level, but many state governments from the opposition, trade unions, civil society organisations, media and NGOs with focus on freedom of speech. All have, rightly, united in protecting Nigeria’s young democracy and the rights of all to elect leaders and lawmakers.

“The Global Coalition for Security and Democracy in Nigeria’s attempt to incite citizens into a revolution against their own democratic rights and interests has failed – as will all attempts to take away from the people their hard-won rights and freedom to choose who leads their country.’’

Politics / Re: Revolution Now: Northern Group Pulls Out, Says Action Sponsored By Foreigners by SirChime(m): 11:28am On Aug 05, 2019
Idokojimmy:
The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) on Sunday said it has pulled out of Monday’s revolution now protest planned by Omoyele Sowore, who is now in detention. The spokesperson of CNG, Malam Abdul-Azeez Sulaiman, in a statement issued in Kaduna said organizers of the protest were being sponsored by foreigners as part of a destabilisation plot against Nigeria.

“After carefully reviewing the calls, the CNG has inadvertently arrived at the following conclusions. That the ultimate aim of the proponents of the march who are at best couriers of a foreign destabilization plot has not been clearly and satisfactorily defined, which renders the whole exercise suspect. The CNG remains unshakable in its understanding that every civil disagreement can be resolved through honest, sincere and open discussions without unnecessary recourse to actions liable to further inflame tensions without achieving lasting results.

“CNG is not disposed to participating in, supporting, encouraging or in any way promoting actions that are potentially violent, sponsored by obscure organizations with suspicious motives.

“We have failed to see how the interest of, particularly the northern people, can be served by a movement led by those who have been directly or remotely connected to the decades-old agenda for the emasculation of the North.

“The CNG calls on all northerners to disregard the calls and resist the temptation of being dragged into participating in any way, in a movement that would turn out to the disadvantage of the region.

Nigeria can never be One ☝️. Let this entity be destroyed and let everyone go their separate ways. Northern interest is to dominate and southern interest is freedom and development. The north can’t develop and they want this entire country’s to perish with them . Change evil constitution they refused. I hate when people feel they know something when they know nothing.

He should use this same theory to explain why China isn't poor,,,

Corruption is the Major reason Nigerians are poor.
So you seeing Corruption as the major reason why Nigerians are poor makes you feel you know something ? Over population with little or no economic growth leads to poverty. China understood that and gave law for one family one child unless you had a baby girl the first you may try again and after that you train your children. But the focused on economic growth and advancement in technology which allows them support home made goods and services. Creating job opportunities for many and many CEOs of international standard. Nigeria with our little population compared to China can't produce toothpick ,marker ,matchbox etc . We depend on imported goods. So northern part of Nigeria should take it easy on population and focus on skill acquisition.

The local government collation officer for Gboko
Local Government Area, Comfort Dooshima, has
been shot by unknown gunmen in Makurdi, the
Benue State capital.

Ms Doshima, a professor and lecturer at the
University of Agriculture was on her way to the
INEC headquarters, Makurdi, to present results from
the local government.

She has been rushed to the Benue State University
Teaching Hospital.

Benue is one of five states where supplementary
governorship elections were held on Saturday. The
others are Sokoto, Plateau, Bauchi and Kano.

In all the five states, the contest is between the APC
and the PDP.

The corruption in the northern part of this failed project called Nigeria is mind boggling. India twice as big as Nigeria had a election within 24hours results are out no need for war because results are there in database but here because of fake population up north we can't do it right. What's wrong in sending results as one is voting than giving room for manipulation. Leading to war and death all over the place. God punish this APC leadership and followers for refusing card reader.
Politics / Re: Kano Rerun Peaceful Despite Minor Violence — DIG Obizi by SirChime(m): 11:03pm On Mar 23, 2019
[quote author=ManirBK post=76921961]The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mr Micheal Anthony Obizi has described Kano rerun election as peaceful.

Obizi, who was deployed to Kano for the purpose of the rerun poll said the election recorded minor violence.
He explained that the reports on various social media platforms were purported by some elements in order to cause chaos in the state.

“We have arrested only 10 people for various election offenses and they will be charged to court as soon as we finish investigation. So, as far as police is concerned the election is peaceful,” he said.

He said there was no report of death from the affected 24 local governments where the rerun election was held.

On the alleged taking over of some polling units by thugs, Obizi said, “If it is true some thugs have taken over some polling units, how can the INEC find its way to bring election materials and officials to the polling units?”

The DIG assured that police would maintain its ground in protecting lives and property of the Nigerian citizens.
He said there was no cause for alarm as far as security was concerned, saying everything was going smoothly.

This is the main reason why this country is not moving forward 'it's manageable level of accessing total failure. How can a DIG be bold to praise a shameful display by weak Inec . Total failure in carrying out his duties. Inec using different measurements for the same problem. In PH their was violence and election was cancelled but in Kano with all the thuggery and open violence the election is free and fair. Apc and its supporters will get a painful experience in this field of games they have started.
