The English Premier League may return action in early June 2020, according to mirror UK. It no longer looks like that the season would be scrapped and declared void as reviewed earlier.

However, there is still plenty to sort out before it can resume. This was the discussion made when representatives from the league met on Friday in one of their regular meetings with the government to discuss a restart once the national lockdown is lifted.

There was a fire accident at premises of Ikeja airport hotel in Lagos on Thursday night.

According to the reports, the vehicle were razed during the outbreak which did not affect the hotel building.

The outbreak affected a Toyota coaster bus carrying the plate number LND133XW, a Honda civic salon car with number AKR234LZ , and a Cadillac Escalade car with an unknown registration number.

According to the Director General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, the person of Dr. Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, said in a statement that a building within the hotel premises was also affected but the fire has been extinguished.

The Federal Government has said that it wanted to learn from the Chinese experts on how they solved the novel Coronavirus pandemic in their country.

The Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, made this known on Friday in Abuja, at the Presidential Taskforce (PTF), briefing on COVID-19 in the country.

The minister said that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), had earlier inspected the quarters where the experts were being quarantined and the NCDC also had access to inspect whenever they wanted to do so.

He said;
As earlier mentioned, a 16-ton consignment of medical commodities and equipment worth USD 1.5 million arrived Abuja on Wednesday from Beijing, China, in a Nigeria registered charter flight.
It was courtesy of Chinese companies working in Nigeria, along with a 15-member team of medical and technical advisers.

The Minister also said that NCDC is continually increasing testing capacity stating that the country now has about nine laboratories capable of testing for COVID-19.
