Somebody please help!

My school does not give Transcript by hand but prefers to send directly to foreign school.
And am applying to Centennial College. The College said that I should send the scanned copy of my Transcript and other documents in one PDF file to them.

Pls how do I get my Transcript since my school in Nigeria don't give it by hand?

Apply for a student copy of your transcript, many schools give that.

If that is not possible, then apply for an official copy using Nigeria address, note that this could only be possible if you have a friend or relative who is a Lecturer in a University or polytechnic,Just use his departmental address and pay for the courier delivery fee. You will get it in few days. It's always good to have the electronic of your transcript with u at any time.

Please kindly adjust the part you said he should declare his married while the lady said the applicant is her fiance not husband. Except they are in a common law relationship please don't declare married oooo. If they will get married before he applies then their marriage cert will be included and after the applicant approval the wife can join him tru SOWP. My tot

I agree with you completely, l thought she made mentioned of it that they will wed soon.

On the other hand if the application is going to be submitted before the actual wedding I suggest they do a solo wedding registry or something to get a marriage certificate before the main wedding.

Please and please don't declare married without a legal marriage certificate ooo.

I am saying all these because a friend of mine finds it difficult to bring his wife after almost 2 years he has been there just because their wedding was after he submitted application for TRV.

Hello. Please I need advice. My fiance wants to go for PhD in chemistry in Canada at Western Ontario University. He has a potential supervisor who has asked him to go ahead and apply against fall of 2018, the department says they give 25k CAD to each international student as funding per year minus the ones from his supervisor or the ones he can apply for himself. He and i are to legally Wed next month September 2017. Now my question is this, can I apply for visa along with him? And do we need to provide sponsor? Keeping in mind that I have been refused visa twice for pgd in Canada twice last year.

Don't even give it a second thought

Don't apply with your husband
As I can see, your Husband stands a greater chance of being approved.
Good home tie (you ), PhD and availability of funding.

It's just a matter of time he will invite you after few months but make sure he declares that he is married in his application form. It is very important.

Why not asked your question in GTBank plc.....usually GTBank daily with drawer limit is 1000 dollars

Thank you for your response
GTbank takes days to respond to emails that's when you are lucky.

What of transfer limit to a foreign account like a Canadian bank account
Is there any limit to amount u can transfer once?

Please I need help from everyone

Please forgive me as my question is not directly related to this trend but somehow related.

Am not in Nigeria presently and I want to open GTbank domiciliary account (I have naira account with GTbank )
To finalise the opening of the domiciliary account, the Bank has sent me forms to fill and send it bank to them.

My worries

With this era of no dollars and limitation to dollar transactions , is it advisable to proceed with the process?

My questions

Is there limitation to online transfer/payment and withdrawal on GTbank domiciliary account?

Is there any excessive deduction on domiciliary account whether after I open the account or each transaction I make?

Can I get all my dollars from the account especially if I want to pay for my tuition fees?

Please I need adequate information about the Gtbank domiciliary account.

Thank you so much for your help.

Good morning everyone in the house.
Please, I urgently need our honest advise on what to do concerning the REQUEST i got from cic last night.

For better understanding, below is a bit of my profile:
I applied for msc in geology for fall term at Uwo, Paper route, may 12, medical passed, currently reviewing my eligibility.

I have Bsc in geology.

4 yrs work experience at a mining company, still working there.

2016 NDDC award worth 30k USD (about 39k CAD) but payment has not been made yet. Tuition is worth 17300 CAD/yr plus 10k living expenses (= 27300 CAD).

Company support of 1 million when i start studies.

Uncle's support of 30k USD (in words not in action, for visa approval)

NB:
I am not on funding from school as my program is one year course based msc.
I also cannot afford to pay for one term not to talk of the whole year tuition.

PLEASE, WHAT DO YOU ADVISE I DO

Baba PureRuby, you are mostly going to get approved, I think is the last criteria they want you to provide .
They want to be sure you can fund your program if your sponsor disappoints.

I think what you should do is to borrow money if bank is delaying because of the procedure.

Borrow money from your colleagues in your work place, if you know any of your superiors, let them know your purpose for borrowing money. Try many people, tell your parents to borrow for you too but they should know from whom because of the society we are in Nigeria.
Please make sure this money comes out before the time frame.

It will end in praise

Hello

I want to submit my study permit application this week but I was refused visa to the Uk in 2015 but I have actually gotten several visas to the Uk before then and I just stated that I was refused in 2015 in my application. Do i need to also state reasons why? Or Just saying I was refused in 2015 is fine? Also please is there anyone that can proof-read my sop.

Thanks in advance.

State it clearly the reason please, the only reason past refusal can affect you negatively is when it is based on fraud and am sure that ain't your case.

Hello guys,

I am a new user and I've been following this thread for the past 7 weeks as a guest. I'm from Ghana and I found this website unfortunately after submission. I picked up my passport some days ago and it was a refusal and I've read so many important things I could have done differently with my application. Although it seems the requirements for Nigeria is much different than ours, I would like to provide details for my refusal and see how best I can solve them.

1. The VO didn't think I would leave at the end of my stay. I've never been refused a visa and I've traveled to the UK and US before. All the same I need to do more in convincing he or she of my reasons for going and leaving. I did realize maybe attaching something like a property document might have saved me from that. I must mention that all my family members are in the UK.

2. The VO also thought I didn't have sufficient funds. My uncle is my sponsor and the bank statement had a closing balance of 60,000USD for a 5 month period. My annual tuition with insurance and transport card inclusive summed up to about $9,000 and yearly housing at $5,000. That's 14,000CAD a year plus an extra 10,000CAD is 24,000. Even that times two is 48,000CAD.

I'm sure I'm missing something that someone here can spot and offer some advice on how to go about it and repackage my application.

Thanks

Trust me, am not a Guru here ooo but what I can point out is home tie which you seem not to have. as u said all your family members are in the UK. I think what you can use as proof of home tie would be properties, landed property, company belonging to your family and you have to explain this in details, also documents for them, their connections to you, how how your proposed programme will prepare you to improve your family business /company back home after your study in Canada.

URGENT

PLEASE GUYS I NEED YOUR URGENT ADVICE

I will be funding part of my study, I will provide the 10k+CAD myself (the minimum expenses as it is written on cic website )

My uncle (Maternal) will be paying my tuition and other expenses like textbooks and health insurance. However the tuition fees is allowed to be paid over 9 times which makes it very easy for my uncle as I have explained in detail in my sop (I have not submitted my app yet ) and he explained too in his sponsor letter too.

My point is,
Hope this payment arrangements will not be a big issue or red flag to the VO (note that the arrangement is official, as it is stated on the financial form of the school( and I confirmed this from the graduate admin officer with an email response backing this) , the form which am submitting with my app too(financial form )

Thank you so much

All,

I have dire need of help here. My fiancee who got admitted to Uni of Sask for M.Sc will be making her app next week. Had to wait till now cos we are getting married this weekend and Sponsor has been the issue until we got a distant uncle to fill in. He has good balance and good job.
The help part is : please can anyone who has used an uncle as sponsor successfully be kind enough to share his/her individual and uncle SOP so we can adapt it to our situation.
Please I could use all the help I can get now... Thanks everyone.

This is not the answer to your question though

Please and please make sure that your wife indicates married and upload your marriage certificate before she submits the application for study permit, otherwise it will be difficult for her to invite you to Canada.

I spoke to an ex-Consular lately and she was very kind to share some advice and insight regarding successful and unsuccessful visa applications. I guess most of us already know this, so this is mostly directed towards new members in the house. I took my time to write this so everyone please share corrections, additions and suggestions. Hope someone can learn from this.

DOs and DON’Ts

It’s very important to know that the VO don’t know anything about you, your background or your plans until you submit your application. Even while your application is submitted to the embassy, the VO on your case makes his/her judgement based on what you present. The documents you present represent you and should tell your own unique story. That is why it is very important that your documents are SOLID and meet the minimum standards. Based on her advice and my own experience here are some DO’s and DON’Ts:

1. DO ensure that you have significantly more money than is needed for your application. Take note of the current parallel market rates and do your maths appropriately. You should have at $10,000 minimum for your upkeep + your tuition and travel expenses. So if your school fees is $14.000, flight is $1000, you should have significantly more than the equivalent of $25,000. You are not expected to empty your account neither is your sponsor expected to. Also important, for married applicants and applicants with children; you should show even significantly more money than the minimum. Having a wife and a child means that you have dependants and it is an unwritten rule that you have to proof that you can support them as well. Another important point to note is that the VOs are trained to make sure no one is a potential burden on the Canadian government public funds that is why it is necessary to show that you can look after yourself and family been left behind without any benefits on their part. Then again the VOs care much more about your liquid cash than your properties. Properties serve more as a home tie rather than a proof of finance. They don’t know or care about how much your land costs, they need to see the figures in a banks account. Common documents to submit include: Statement of Account (6 months), Letter of Employment if employed, Payslips, “Sworn Affidavit of Support” if you have a sponsor. You should also submit documents that prove your relationship to that sponsor e.g. birth certificates.

2. DO prove that you have home ties. The Canadian government can’t read your mind. They don’t know whether or not you will return after your studies. But as long as you are applying for a Temporary Resident Visa you certainly have to prove that you have enough reason to come back. This is important for applicant you have little or no travel history i.e. a virgin passport. You have to show that you have either a family, significant property, an inheritance or a pretty good job to come back to. Every individual case is different so you should show documents that suit your unique circumstance. Land documents, businesses, marriage certificates will surely help here.

3. DON’T present yourself as an experienced traveler while you submit your documents when you are not. What I mean by this is simple. If you have not travelled out, you have to do more to win the trust of the VO and make him believe your application. This would include showing home ties, having your documents look well thought out and original and proving your intentions. Whether you like it or not, travel history certainly plays a key role in applications. Having a good travel history and multiple visas tells the VO two things. a. You have obeyed immigration rules before and you are likely to obey theirs b. You have been seen as eligible for visas in other countries so that gives you more eligibility for theirs. Most of us don’t have the luxury of that but keep it in mind that you have to earn trust and presenting solid documentation is a good way. If you have a virgin passport, upload blank pages as well as your bio-data page. If you have visas, upload all visas along with your bio-data page.

4. DO indicate any previous refusals. I find it funny when people don’t indicate prior refusals in the same embassy even. Embassies like Canada and UK go out of their way to keep an electronic record of refusals and special cases. Not stating a refusal is basically shooting yourself in the foot. That goes for pretty much other embassies. If you have a marking on your passport, please upload it along with your passport page and make sure you give a simple explanation as to why you were refused.

5. DON’T over do, over say or over present. Overdoing is a sign of desperation. Desperation is a big red flag. While it is good to present solid documents, providing extras or too much will actually be an impediment to your application. Provide what is required and only what will sell your case innocently, nothing more. No unnecessary reference letters, no overexcited SOPs. Confidence and simplicity should be what you aim for

Would certainly share more points if anyone finds this useful.

I heard they even have to that kind of verification.

But you should pray well for them not to verify.
Always better to make your bank statement available to them a day to or the same day to your app
