I was slapped in 2015. It was in Auchi during my NYSC days..I went to back to withdraw, I joined the ATM Queue, one guy just came from behind to withdraw, I questioned him why he's jumping the queue, next thing I heard is a slap on my head, his colleague came from behind too to give me a slap. I was embarrassed that day..Both of them weren't on uniform..It is well 9 Likes |

Effurun is not warri. effurun is in uvwie local government area. the proximity of these communities to warri makes people call all these areas as warri. I was born and raised in warri so I know what I am telling u. Ugborikoko, airport junction, Ekpan, Jakpa and Co are in uvwie. Ogbe-ijo is technically part of warri kingdom but centuries of interaction with their Ijaw visitors due to shared fishing occupation has given the ijaw a claim to the area ( there was a bloody clash around 1999 to carve out Warri SW LGA) According to some, the urhobos were more of traders of palm oil who were middle men for the itsrkiri and those they traded with on the Benin river especially the Portuguese. Many of the places u refer to as Warri are technically not warri. Very soon some one would say Osubi or Okuokoko is also warri.
PS: How does Ugborikoko sec sch qualify as a prestigious school? What would u then call FGCW? Ugborikoko sec school na tout school abeg. Na Warri Osubi and Okuokoko dey naw |

It's Tomori's case that's the most painful one because that lad is good, the Nigerian team lacks versatile defenders.
At least Tammy's case can be consoled with an in form Victor Oshimen, the team also has a lot of attacking players who are currently in sizzling hot form. I think Tomori only played one game for England. He can still play for Nigeria |

I just want to know how long their recruitment process takes. Please, people that have had experience with them should help. THANKS |

Politics / Re: Throwback Photo Of Olusegun Obasanjo And His Family In 1979 by SirToby(m): 10:08am On Feb 05, 2021 |
naptu2:
They had divorced before 1999. It was a very stormy marriage.
(The reason that I remember the issue of the divorce is because of the crazy rumour that was circulating back then . The rumour was that Obasanjo appeared in court for the divorce proceedings and he was asked if he wanted to swear with the bible or Quran and he replied that he would prefer to swear with a cutlass because he was a traditional religionist. I'm much older now and I don't think the rumour is true).
She wrote a book about her problems and suffering when Obasanjo was head of state and I read a bit of the book in the 2000s.
Basically she said that Obasanjo had two wives, Oluremi and Stella, but he had a lot of affairs with other women and it was those affairs that caused the problems.
She named some of the women in that book, while she described the ones that she didn't name and she described them in a way that people would know who they were.
She wrote about the times that he brought women to stay in the guest houses at State House Dodan Barracks, the many fights that they had over the children (Obasanjo once sent the children to a boarding school in Kaduna, so that she won't have access to them. She flew to Kaduna and almost fought the principal of the school. She took the children and brought them back to Lagos).
She filed for divorce in 1976, but MD Yusufu (the inspector general of police) convinced her to withdraw the suit because the Murtala Government was still young and it would embarrass the government. It was Murtala and Yusufu that usually settled the quarrels.
She wrote about the time that Obasanjo had an affair with the principal of Queens College, while her daughter, Iyabo, was a student of the school. She said that Iyabo attacked the principal.
She also wrote about the divorce. She said that she has heard many people talk about the divorce, but she was not served any papers, neither did she know of any divorce proceedings. She said that she believed that Obasanjo rigged the divorce.
You might notice that she did not act as first lady when Obasanjo was head of state. Instead, wives of other government functionaries and female members of government acted as hostess during state visits, for example when Jimmy Carter visited Nigeria in 1978.
(By the way, Olusegun Obasanjo was already married to Stella Abebe when he was head of state). Title of the book please |

And you’re here doing fact checking. Otolo gbagbukwe gi there. Thes kind of mod are the reason why SW and Edo are now crying out of Fulani menace. Travel / Re: Share Your Experience With Nigerian Churches Abroad by SirToby(m): 9:54am On Jan 25, 2021 |
Leshurr: I see you referenced my thread @op lol. Ok, so I've been to quite a number of churches abroad.. I'll share a quick summary of my impression/experiences so far:
Christ Embassy: Very cult-like, they literally worship Chris Oyakilome like a god. I've been to services where the congregation (alongside the resident pastor) just sits for the entire service, watching video clips of their 'daddy in the lord'. Then they will pressure you to purchase his books (e.g. rhapsodies of reality) They all talk and act the same way and are often fond of misquoting the Bible for selfish/ ridiculous agendas. I've personally experienced a few Christ embassy guys quote the Bible while trying to get down with me.. like wtf! .fornication doesn't seem to be a sin to them because "love" covers a multitude of sins .They also tend to date and marry within the cult - you will hardly see a Christ Embassy member choosing a spouse from any other church.
KICC: This church has a reputation of being a shallow prosperity focused church but surprisingly, the members are such lovely people. Though they like to speak init lingo by force The main headquarters tend to preach prosperity gospel a lot. However, smaller branches scattered around other cities outside London are usually very friendly and Christ focused (they may be small in congregation but are usually such a tight knitted, supportive family of believers).
RCCG: These are the absolute worst when it comes to prejudice and classism and the 'Jesus House' branch (London) is the main headquarters of such. Just make a mistake and go there dressed in a casual manner, you will regret your life! a church where intimidation thrives. Low income earners can never be given ministerial/pastoral roles. Who you are in society determines the respect you get. Positions are given to people not based on spiritual soundness but on how much you earn, package yourself and speak Christianese. I know husband beaters, wife batterers and child abusers who are currently in ministerial positions at RCCG. A male friend of mine told me of a supposed family man who is secretly a homosexual who has been appointed as a pastor at a particular branch because he is a medical doctor - he knows the man is gay because he tried to get down with him! To sum of my point, what you will find in these churches: ungodly living, unhealthy competition, gossip, people looking down on low earners/those who don't know how to dress. Although, if you are a typical shallow minded, cunning and rugged Nigerian, you may fit right in!
Other black churches (VPA, New Wine etc..) Scandalous. very scandalous churches. Either the pastors are involved in one scandal or another, or there is heavy rumour mongering amongst the congregation.
White Baptist or Anglican Churches: Extremely boring!
White Pentecostal churches: Praise and worship is like a Mumford &Sons concert : bright lights, huge band on stage, loud music where everyone jumps up and down during service. You may come across a few black people here and there but will find that they are often disenfranchised and not properly integrated within the church community. They show acceptance to blacks but it's often shallow (if you know what I mean).
Ghanian churches (like Lighthouse): Generally ok churches. Not much drama and the true members stick together like family. You tend to find a few Nigerians in these churches as well.. the ratio would be 70% Ghanaian 30% Nigerian. If you're looking for a black church with less 9ja like dramatics, go to lighthouse. Oh and brace yourself to always shout "mercy", "preach it!" during sermon Thanks for the info. I like how you clarify everything 1 Like |
