Culture / Re: Misunderstanding Anambra Igbo Dialect by Sisom(f): 11:32am On Jun 30, 2013 |
Those people that use "ifon", "ifen" or "iphe" are mostly Crossriver Igbos that live North of Umuahia to Abakaliki and greet with "Ka" or "Jokwa". No Abia dialect uses "wu" instead of "bu". I think "wu" starts around Imo State and ends at the Egbeda axis of Ikwerre via Ohaji. Every other Igbo dialect I've heard uses "bu".
i wish you will listen mor to the abians when they speak cos i am an abian from ohuhu and i speak wu nad ihe what u will say is that the intonations differ from community to community and from state to state |

Religion / Re: Is Kissing And Hugging Sinful In Christian Courtship? by Sisom(f): 11:25am On Mar 24, 2013 |
So many people are going to call for my head by the time they finish reading this. Well I am a christian but a rational one. I am sure in the days of the old when the Bible was given to men, things are quite different and I could supposed that based on evidence people then actually marry on time(I am sure some people will point out those that never got married and those that married late. Which does not in anyway becloud the fact that majority of them got married at an early age). But let me stray a little away from the bible, I really don't know the sin that there is when biologically your body starts acting up based on hormones. These hormones am sure you never asked for it, you get to an age when your body realizes it is time to put these "instrument" to use, biologically that is your body speaking. But due to the present situation of things on ground most people don't get married until like 10 to 15 years into puberty. How on earth do you expect them to continue defying their biological makeup? At this point I would supposed that's why my Muslim brothers up North have to either marry for their son at an early age of 18/19 to prevent them from getting themselves involve into ugly circumstance as mentioned let alone asking the question which the op asked. But then if you can't afford to get married and given the situation on ground which is not your own making, I think what is wrong is stopping nature to take its course.
thank you very much for saying the truth on this matter may God bless you |
