Health / Re: Pharmacist In The House:free Medicines Advice Available by skanmy: 1:59am On Sep 23, 2009
@ kosky, you nid to ask this guy for his qualification.I am very sure he doesnt know that wif his attitude, the patient stands to lose,I have seen very terrible presciptions from doctors and it took the superior knowledge of a Pharmacist on drugs to detect and over-rule such prescription.I tink it is beef and ego dat makes a doctor quote physiology where all that could be more applicable is pharmac.A doctor spends 2yrs studying pharmac while a Pharmacist spends 4 yrs!
You ve done well and i am very proud of you. What does guys cud nt agree more with is that some of those drugs are correct and are actually prescription drugs that would only be sold on prescription!
For the medical thread,I think Pharmacists shld cross check the doctors' prescriptions and vet accordingly.By law,the pharmacist is a drug expert and he/she only can stock, store, compound, advertise, mix and DISPENSE DRUGS!
The argument must nt be lost on the need to make the patient the centre of both medical and pharmaceutical care.If a surgeon can kill a whole our dear first lady, doctors as health minister for years and all our health indices going permanently southwards and physicians going on strike like tanker drivers in Nigeria, then its time the doctors learn from the organised world of pharmacy.
Pls,lets tolerate one another, there's no contest when the patient is dead.Resume this thread for the sake of the patients and let the patients know you are a indeed a professional. In pharmacy, you dont cram, you calculate, evaluate and compound in order to take the most difficult decision with precision.Everyone who understand both curriculum know its harder to become a Pharmacist than to become a doctor and thats why Nigeria has less than 15000 registered pharmacist!

Education / Re: UNILAG Post-UME by skanmy: 1:07am On Sep 18, 2009
@ lobinoxebe, abeg,I appreciate your remark and nice contribution, pls,I am 100% sure that the merit admission in most faculties and department have by now bin completed, that is STANDARD UNILAG PRACTICE,you cant touch merit list!they are the 'CHOSEN ONES'.Whoever tells u that there's no cut off mark yet is being economical with the truth or like isaid earlier, the admission office has not fully collated thedifferent cut off marks of all the department in the whole school. That people have a better chance this year, one cant be too sure cos the carrying capacity of akoka hasnt changed significantly and the school performed creditably well at ZAIN AFRICAN BRAIN CHALLENGE so eyes are now on them as among the best universities on the continent ,as a matter of fact,I have told my kid sister to start thinking of next jamb if,God forbid, she didnt make akoka this year.I have faith in God but I also know if she had scored much higher than 42%,we wont be under this kind of avoidable tremendious pressure, abeg, admission in unilag is extremely difficult once you dont score high enough to make merit.

@ eemboy,I am 100% sure.You can take it my dear.Best of Luck

Education / Re: UNILAG Post-UME by skanmy: 12:30am On Aug 30, 2009
Dclique, thanks but if you have bin following this thread, you will realise that i told you and quote me anywhere, regardless of what anyone tells you, unilag is and has always bin the university of first choice and the best way to get into the school is to meet the stringent entry requirements, for example, unilag wont take 5credits minimum like other schools, unilag takes 6,unilag doesnt take 2 sittings of o'level, credit passes in both english and maths is a must even if you want to enter for Hausa language study!I told my kid sister exactly wot i ve told you guys here and I really know how it feels with disappointment!IF YOU DONT GET INTO YOUR COURSE,I REPEAT,GET A CHANGE OF COURSE FORM AS SOON AS ITS OUT OR PREPARE FOR ANODA JAMB AND WORK AND PRAY FOR GOD'S FAVOR.Fola, ,I rily dont know about that(malpractice),pls try get to the admission office ASAP and ask.look, this is just a period som of us had gone thru and i tell you,it will soon fade.I know if you cast all your cares and anxiety unto the Lord,it shall be well with you.Hold on to your dream,it will come thru someday.Love you guys so very much and i am sorry for my poor use of my discretion, maybe i shouldnt have posted it for everyone.
Education / Re: UNILAG Post-UME by skanmy: 11:09pm On Aug 29, 2009
Hi guys, sorry for my failure to post within 24hrs as promised,i ve bin busy,u know this admission stuff is not my daily bread wink.Shayhunny, pls read my previous post,i neva said unilag wont release the cut off mark official,if you want to be an akokite, you ve got to master how to decode info smileyKevdee4real and olarhyme, for you guys sake and the rest of nairalanders,i ve confirmed that the medicine cut off mark is 67.5 while Rx is 59.5(gbam!).But like i said earlier, other consideration come into play for those who dont score as much as the cut off(read my previous post for some of these considerations. As for other departments,i am still waiting,i dont want to promise a specific time but if you get it earlier, feel free to tell awon boys and senoritas.Best regards.
Education / Re: UNILAG Post-UME by skanmy: 3:00pm On Aug 27, 2009
@ tonye 47.8 is at least higher than my kid sister's 42% who want to study computer eng or computer sci.I am looking at maths science or education for her. for your kid sister,i think psychology or any education course that can fit into requirements for econs would do for her,we are awaiting the cut off marks by this week so we can make up our mind early.
Education / Re: UNILAG Post-UME by skanmy: 2:15pm On Aug 27, 2009
sorry, kevdeereal,i am very sure it lies within that range,i was not paying much attention wen the person told me because those were not the course cut off marks i am interested in getting, anyway i can always see the person to confirm the exact thing.as regards your score,i really cant say, maybe for your sake i will reach the person earlier(say today or tomorrow) to get the exact score and post .Unilag is the best place to be,i wish your dream comes through, best of luck
Education / Re: UNILAG Post-UME by skanmy: 1:20pm On Aug 27, 2009
sundaxboy04,quite frankly, each department must have certainly fixed its cut off mark and by now concluded the merit list,ques003 is right about other considerations( apart from outright merit which i recommend as the best way to get into Unilag) such as elds(educational less developed states like bayelsa,akwa-ibom,cross-rivers,rivers,almost all the northern states-you can check jamb site for current list of states in elds category)catchment areas also have their cut off marks which is usually like 2-5 marks less than the official cut off mark. These category of classification accounts for about 75-90% of the list. The school admission office is just compiling a list of each departmental cut off marks and until that is concluded, the list wont be officially released!so try reach the department of your choice to get the cut off mark ASAP so you can start planning for other options i earlier mentioned.icant promise oh,but i will ask my contact for at least one cut off mark in faculty of education,i hope that could help you guess what your departmental cut off mark should be.Best of luck and may the best guy get into the nations pride, the university of first choice.
Education / UNILAG Post-UME by skanmy: 2:56am On Aug 27, 2009
all cut off marks are ready as the merit list is nearly finalised.i tink medecine is 60-63,pharmacy is 59.5 or so,pray for favour and just get your acts ready for any change of course if you cant make the merit list or disappointment if you dont make it into akoka this year, there is always anoda tim e shah .THE REAL KOKO TO GET INTO THIS PRESTIGIOUS UNIVERSITY OF FIRST CHOICE  IS TO MAKE THE MERIT LIST.In Unilag, merit comes first before man know man.
Properties / Find Out What I Lost When I Bought Two Plots Of Solid Genuine Land Each At #149k by skanmy: 11:30pm On Jul 23, 2009
N-O-T-H-I-N-G!
Absolutely nothing. You know why?I was both lucky and thorough.
I got the info about this large expanse of Land with the following profile;
-15-20 mins drive from ikorodu urban centre.
-two possible exit point either through Epe or Ikorodu
-solid land with no need at all for any extra cost for sand filing
-2-5mins drive from the major highway that link the town to a Ikorodu
-5-10 minutes drive from the permanent site of a private university(Caleb university)
-likely prospect that property would benefit from the proposed 4th mainland bridge and/or ongoing Lekki-Epe expressway.
-close proximity to Lagos state designated sites in Epe for private estate developers(an incentive adopted by Lagos state govt to attract private developers and lure them away from Ogun sate-see punchnewspaper of monday 6th or 13 July 2009.
-an incredibly cheap price at #150K per plot.
-large expanse of Land and still selling(so you dont have a reason not to buy more than one plot if you have the dough like I did.

I'M SURE IT SOUNDS JUST TOO IMPOSSIBLE TO BE TRUE!
THAT WAS HOW I FELT AFTER I COMPLETED MY DUE DILIGENCE AND PHYSICAL EXAMINATION OF THE LAND.
NOW THIS IS THE ICING ON THE CAKE THAT FINALLY CONVINCED ME TO BUY IN.
1)I found out through the land registry that the land is free from govt acquisition
2)The whole Land actually belong to the owner as confirmed from the community members and traditional landowners(omo onile)
3)The owner is a very credible professional who you can buy Land from(as revealed from the private investigation of the man and enquiries from his past clients)
4)The owner is a Land surveyor with highly credible professional competence and integrity.
5)If you buy this land, you will lose nothing like I did.

THIS INFO CAME AS A RESULT OF MY THOROUGH INVESTIGATION AND INVOLVEMENT OF PROFESSIONALS IN LAND/PROPERTY BUSINESS and sure costs me money.
If you want to take part in this great opportunity of a lifetime,do quick and call me on 07093168762.
FOR A FEE,I WILL GIVE YOU THE CONTACT AND YOU HAVE THE KEY OTHERS TRY TO HIDE!
