sunflower farming, castor farming, mushroom farming, jathropha farming, BSF Bio soldier flies. it's very economical to start. You need few funds.

I am ready but I don't have a land

That's some women for you.

"For Better For Stay, For Worst For Go", that's what girls of this generation see marriage to be.
Bro, you have potentials. If she wants to leave, just don't worry her. Just keep fighting, you'll definitely breakthrough one day. Then it will be your turn to turn her down if she eventually wants to return.
Infact, she never loved you in the first place. Your only getting to find out now because only the test of fire makes a fine steel. You should have seen it coming, but maybe you were blinded by love.

Hmmmmm.....

You were not a man before you got married and even after that you yet to still be a man.

I would have given you one or two suggestions but thinking that your marriage is the reason for your present predicament I will not.

Nor be everybody wey talk for here you must listen to. Forget all those unfortunate spiritualist and wannabe pastors.

Seek the face of God in your marriage, endeavor to do His will and all your doors will be open.

Just go in your quietness and ask Him afterwards listen and then follow His instructions.

Let your hope rest on God!

There's time for everything. 3 months is too small for job searching and no luck. I'd ask you to try doing a business. You can as well work with your wife in her shop and the both of you put your heads together as to how you'd expand your shop. It's easier to take a business loan with a collateral especially if the business is registered. Teaching might be the easiest way to get a job in Nigeria but not the only way. Go to indeed and LinkedIn sites, create outstanding profiles then apply for jobs around Abuja with those profiles, you'll be surprised as to how the turn out will be. Don't give up on your marriage. There's still hope and three months is just too too early for you to start giving up. What about people who used years to hunt for jobs and still made it?

My final verdict: you and your wife should put your heads together and do one business, you don't know how it will turn out tomorrow. You can create two departments in your wife's shop, while she's selling provisions, you could be selling baked foods, cat fishes, etc. (don't be shy), by the time you start counting good money you won't regret it.

God bless you sir. I will discuss it with her

Good day nairalanders. Please come to my rescue. I will be brief as possible. Please ignore any grammatical or spelling error.
I lost my job (teaching job) two months to my wedding. About 10-15 of us lost our job in this same school, because of the economy of the country. I couldn't get any job after then, so I decided that I will postpone my wedding because of this but everyone except my younger brother kicked against it including my wife. I continued with the wedding plan believing that everything will fall in place soon. This is three months after my wedding, still no job. My wife has tried a lot, she has a shop and she has been very helpful all these while and I use to appreciate her for that. But of recent she started behaving somehow, which shows that she is tired of the situation and I am also tired of the situation. My wife told me that she can no longer continue like this. I was surprised because this is the same woman that was so angry when I told her about my plan to postpone the wedding. To be honest with you people, she has tried, I must commend her.
On my own side, I have searched for job to no avail, both teaching and non teaching. I reside in Abuja, I and one of my friends have trekked on many occasions submitting my own CV. Yet no call for interview. I am a mathematics teacher, before my marriage, I can't submit my CV in three to four schools without getting any invite for interview from two or all of them. But it is the opposite now.
I tried to get capital to even start a poultry farm because I am also good at that, but I couldn't get any. My wife is already "threatening the marriage" asking me to bring money which she knows that I don't have. She told me that she regrets this marriage and just saying all sort of things. She knows that I am not lazy. Even to get labourer work on site is not easy. I will stop here.

I am sorry for bothering you with this long write up. You can say anything you want to say but I will appreciate it if you can help out with a job. I want to have my home back. Thank you.

Note: I studied engineering. I worked as a site engineer for like two years before going into teaching.

Join your wife in her shop and be assisting her … forget the ‘I’m a graduate mentality’ … if you can drive look for who’s hiring keke drivers for hire-purchase …. It’s not easy anywhere

Lastly and more importantly…

Graduate mentality? Anyway, you don't know me. I use to join her in the shop

I believe you have no kids yet since the marriage is 3months old …?
So, when you said “tired of everything” what and what is ‘everything’ — rent, upkeeps & feeding for 2 people for 3months and everyone is tired of everything?😂😂😂😂😂

Tired of the situation. No job, no money to even feed the two people. My rent will be due in two months time.

My wife is already "threatening the marriage" asking me to bring money which she knows that I don't have. She told me that she regrets this marriage and just saying all sort of things......Be bold enough to have a one to one talk with her, giving her the option to leave the marriage if she wants to, don't let her trigger your collapse.

I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that you teach mathematics and still not earning from it because your job as a teacher!

Like earlier suggested, be creative. Market your skills to parents especially those whose children will be sitting for next year's SSCE and NECO, kids living in Estates will be more ideal as you can get 4-5 parents in an Estate get their kids enrolled in your Maths tutorials that would be held in the home of one of the parents, selling them the angle of security as their children won't have to leave their Estate for the classes.

I have talked to her on several occasions. Thanks for your input. I really appreciate.

Please ignore any grammatical and typographical error.

I am planning on getting married to my fiancee. We have done our introduction. We were s to go to her village for the payment of the bride price to the father. Though her mother is in Abuja here. The mother later changed her mind that we shouldn't travel to the village due to spiritual matter. But I told my fiancee that the bride price must get to the father.
She suggested that we do a court wedding and later church wedding.

Please house, is it possible to do a court wedding before paying the bride price first and also before collecting the list from the bride's family?
In addition, how much do court in Abuja collect for the court wedding?

Education / State Of Confusion. Please Help! by Skillsmaster(m): 12:18am On Aug 29, 2022
Good evening all. Forgive my typos.
Please I am in a state of confusion right now. I posted here on nairaland last year concerning me starting a teaching job in Abuja. I have been teaching in this school for a year and half now. My salary is 40k (on appointment letter) but there is always deduction of 10% (4k) every month which they promised to pay all the deductions by end of each session. Till now, they are yet to pay it, giving excuses of no money on ground. But they paid it to those that resigned as far as two months notification is given. I applied in other schools before the beginning of last term, two among the schools invited me for an interview but I didn't go because of this 10% of a thing. I made up my mind to resign beginning of this term so that I can collect my 10%. Last week, I got another invite from one of those schools I applied. I went and came out successful but their salary is 60k. I requested for 100k but they said they can only pay 60k. I didn't accept it because of the distance. Early hour of Saturday, I received a message from the school, congratulating me that I have been shortlisted for employment. I was confuse because I didn't agree with the pay. And I will be teaching in primary section.
Assuming they can even pay me 80k, I can forget about the 10% and start another hustle there. (I planned relocating to the area because of distance).
Should I accept this offer and forget about the 10% (72k+) in the school I am now?
Or should I talk to them if they can allow me to resume by January so that I can collect my money from this school? Will they accept?

Please house, I need your input on this.

Note: I will go to the school and confirm if they've agreed to increase my pay. Before the invite, I have already made up my mind to tender my resignation letter immediately school resumes.

This is so very dicey and intricately difficult to advise on.

If not for the deductions you are battling to retrieve from your current employers, I'd have advised you to proceed to take up the new offer after confirming the security of the job and an agreement reached on your actual pay.

Do not be scared to move to a new location for a fresh and new challenge. With consistency and dedication, you'd gradually move into your destiny.

Dem no dey stay one place dey look sun...

Wishing you the best decision and outcome brother.

Very confusing. Thanks for your input
