It is no longer news that the official date for Jamb 2016 has been fixed. It is to hold from 29th February to 14th March which is precisely a 2 weeks exercise and will be a computer based test. However, random questions are going to be issued to various candidates which will make it rather impossible to ask friends that wrote the previous day about the questions they answered.

With the Introduction of cbt and biometric screening, special centres and impersonation are almost impossible. To my amazement, i discovered an Android Application that offers Jamb CBT 2016 questions and answers completely free to download and install on google playstore.

Hard to believe right? As i am certainly not a fool, i cross-checked the previous years that were listed on the app and the questions corresponded exactly with the Jamb Past Questions. Still dont know how the inventor of the app did this.

Can you believe the modern smartphone has only been around for six years? In that short time, it's changed the way society does business, communicates, flirts, gets news, makes news, plays games and so much more.
Just owning a smartphone doesn't mean you know all the tricks. In fact, here are five that you might not know, but really should.


1. Take a screenshot

Your friend just made a hilarious typo in a text message and you want to share it with your other friends. Capture it as an image with a screenshot.

On Androids, hold the Power and Volume Down buttons at the same time. The image is saved to the "Captured Images" folder in your Gallery app. That only works in Android 4.0 and higher, though. For Android 3.0, 2.3 or earlier, use an app like AirDroid.


2. Salvage a wet phone

It's a heart-stopping moment when you drop your smartphone on the ground. If you don't have a good case, there's a chance it won't survive.

It's even worse if you drop it in the water. Unless you have a waterproof case, your smartphone is sunk - literally.

Or is it? You might be able to salvage it with a few steps.

First, and most important, DON'T turn it on. If you turn it on with water inside, you'll fry it.

Instead, wipe it down with a dry cloth. If the gadget is dirty, you can clean it with isopropyl rubbing alcohol.

If the phone has a removable battery, take it out. Then fill a container or bag with uncooked rice and put the smartphone in the container overnight. The rice will help pull the moisture out of the gadget.

Under no circumstances put the phone in the oven or microwave!

The next day, put the phone back together and turn it on. If it starts up, congratulations! If not, you're off to the store for a new one.

4. Metal Detector
Want to go hunting for metal? Metal detector apps for Android have you covered. They use your phone's built-in compass to find metals. You just need to hold your phone close to the metal and it would beep.


5. Find your stolen phone.

Next time your phone gets stolen, dont be afraid if you already have Avast Mobile Guard installed on your phone. Or Find My Phone app on android playstore.

Now, you can better enjoy your phone.

I rarely make posts on nairaland except it something that is rily cool. While surfing the internet, i stumbled across a great website that offers Jamb, Waec, Neco and Post-Utme of more than 38 different institutions. They offered this as an android app for absolutely free download.

What intrigued me most about this app was the vast number of subjects (16 to be precise) it had, with some subjects like English having years dating back to 1980 till present. The App also offered answers and explanations to questions in a well furnished user interface.

I most definitely would recommend this app for anyone that may want to attempt any of this examinations. Its rily a cool app.
