tatiana009: Its not his fault, na we cause am! It is sad because it is true.
Though it appear to be an open and direct blow to our integrity as a Nation,I really don't blame him because that's just someone calling a spade a spade...so Tatiana...you are right...why wouldn't the west make mess of our image (thats if we still have one) when our leaders home are making mess of themselves out of greed...mchhwwwww.....

Family / Re: How To Handle Problems Over Relatives Staying In Your House ? by sky4(m): 3:26pm On Sep 14, 2013
I just have one thing to say or ask even though its not related to the story:
Is there any law in naija which says "you must use big vocabulary at all cost when writing" ? What about letting your words or story flow freely in simple/regular words instead of struggling to use multiple "jaw breaking" words" ?
It was obvious this writer was bent on using as many of them as possible...even oyibo people dey keep it simple...we educated people can easily spot ourselves once we come across a well written piece, so quit try to impress and make your write up look like that of an old time village head master or mistress.
No hard feelings.
Peace.

Summary: A friend wanted to crash in my house. My sister
disallowed it (because the dude is a friend to our cousin whom she
dislikes) to my annoyance and the guy left. My sister brings her
friends to stay in our house. This has been an issue between my
parents and now us.

Your comments please.

Thirst4Lif: I think you really did not read the rigjt meaning into what the young man was trying to say...I think he actually was praising Africa as a place of high moral and dignity as opposed to saying that America is better while Africa is not... Go back to the text and reread.

That sentence alone would be a major turn off for me. Clearly he doesn't have very much respect for African

Americans, which is laughable considering the heinous acts we hear about almost daily perpetrated on his own continent.

Sounds like a white person saying to a Black person, "I'm not racist, but, " then they go on to say something

derogatory against Black people. Your friend needs to clean up his comments. Let him know from the start you find

remarks such as the one above very offensive. Do not let it fester or he will continue to say demeaning things like that to you.

You're only 21 years old, there's no reason you should settle for anything in a man less than what you really desire!

amara.lizzy%40y:
Infact wht suprises me is d more the talk, d more population increase. Abuja crusade @ eagles square dis sat and sunday u cn watch it live on air cable, youtube and c tins 4 urself.
Amara, I don't have any thing against you as a person but I can sense obsession here...how could a man of God be so vengeful and aggressive? And I can even see how sensitive you react towards people here voicing their views...do you intend joining the fleets of your pastors lawyers?
Anyway its a free world so you still have the right to choose your prison... Choose wisely though...

dear Kulyie,
I think u taking this way too personal and serious, if u react like this to all the stuffs said or acted around u, don't u think u will always complain 24/7. The young man just made a simple gesture which is not even uncommon, or is this ur first time of hearing such? No hard feelings sister, but if u are allergic to such talks, simply look the other way, cheers,

Travel / Re: Admissions into Romania Top University by sky4(m): 2:03am On Oct 11, 2010
Fellow brothers and sisters, I happen to have lived and obtained my undergraduate degree from Romania, bucharest to be specific. Having lived and studied in Europe for 5 years now and knowing the need or let me rephrase it, knowing how desperate nigerians are when it comes to leaving its shores, I presume i am in the position to make some contributions about studying in Eastern european countries.I will not discourage anyone from making the step though, but its not always wonderful as what they portray on internet. Bellow are my sincere advice:
1: If u are coming to Romania with the hope of funding urself on arrival, SORRY!!.pls look away cus u will cry. I did LOL.
2: If u dont have any strong financial back up from Naija, pls forget Romania.
3: Romanians are not totally welcoming people, so dont expect to be kissed all over all the time (but dis is irrerivant shaa, Nigerians sef no too good).
4: There certificate is not bad at all.
5: And for the so called agents luring and blowing trumpets and posting lovely pics of the Country, abeg paint to our people the full picture so anyway going will know wot to expect, SIMPLE!!
Finally, as i made the move and survived it by Special grace of God, i believe many can do so, naija economy and govt isnt encouraging at all, so anyone dat has the mind/resouces and means to leave, pls do.but not via deserts and dangerious voyages , it doesnt worth it !!!
