Hello to all the beautiful people on this platform...

And special recognition and accolades grin to all who (without compensation) provide information here for others to move forward... well done!

A quick question please:

I'd like to know if it is possible to get licensed by any of the provincial teachers regulatory bodies in Canada.

I had the impression that one could increase his/her CRS points by getting licensed by a teachers regulatory body (e.g. Ontario College of Teachers) right from here in Nigeria after fulfilling all the requirements.

Has anyone gone through such a process here? Or does anyone have useful information I can use regarding getting licensed from Nigeria?

Your responses are highly appreciated.

One's not getting younger, and CRS points are dropping with each passing birthday... sad

Ejo... Biko... Please help!

Thank you...

You are right, that's what I did.

A14:

Don't know if this is what he did, but you can get your WES reference no without paying by selecting the Western Union option of payment, you get the reference number then pay whenever with a debit/credit card.

Wifey's transcript was sent by the school, mind's yet to be sent.

One more question please. Are we required to send copies of our degree certificates? And in wifey's case I suppose in addition, our marriage certificate due to change of name....?

HighBK:
1. No, you need PoF after ITA, not when creating a profile
2. Yes, most debit cards will work. I used FBN card.

How come you applied for your transcripts before WES ECA application? You need WES reference number for the transcripts. Also WES expects your school to send the transcripts to them directly.

Thank you Enryking, really appreciate!

Enryking:

Just use your credit card if you don't want to be stressed. It's easier and faster as you will get a notification from them instantly.

Secondly, while am yet to get into the pool, I know you don't need POF to get into the pool. The pool is a somewhat assessment mechanism to determine if you have the requirements to apply. You will only need POF when applying.

Thanks HighBK, your response is highly appreciated.

We both applied to WES before processing the transcripts. Transcript was sent with the reference number. And payments can be made after receipt of documents. Thank you.

Thank you cochtrane, really appreciate.

cochtrane:

It's advisable to have your POF as early as you can, though not compulsory. It's just to help you with having your POF for the usual 6 months so you can reflect a comfortable liquid situation. But of course this is not mandatory. In addition, once they issue you ITA, you want to have everything ready.
By the time you are ready to submit your application though, you have to make sure your POF is ready.

I'm not sure about this, but I guess you can use your regular debit card provided you don't exceed the daily limit for your bank. But you sure can use a dollar MasterCard if you have one.

Wish you the best on this journey. Settle in for the long haul, lol.

Hello great people...

I'm a newbie here that has just committed to the dream of moving to Canada with my family.

I troway special salute all my forbears here. Abeg make una help me answer some few questions that I've been pondering on.

A brief background on our personal situation: We'are a family of three (li'l daughter, wifey and I) working to make this dream a reality.

Wifey is to be the principal applicant (She's got her Master's). We've had our IELTS (She has an 8 and I have a 7.5) and we are currently processing our transcripts for our credentials evaluation with WES. Hopefully we hope to get into the pool before year's end.

Questions:

1. Do we need to have our POF in place before getting into the pool?

2. How can we make the payment to WES from Nigeria? can our regular debit cards suffice?

I appreciate all your kind suggestions and helpful answers. Thank you!

Hello my people... It's been quite a while, yeah I know. Na many things cause am, let me leave it at that for now.
I'd like to specially thank everyone who's been contributing on this platform to help others actualise their dreams.
Y'all are too numerous to mention, keep it up... You'll get even more in return.

Special thanks also to everyone who took the the time to answer my queries during this winter semester process, you immensely helped me attain this new reality.

Had my interview on the 10th August, got a reminder to send blocked account confirmation on August 29th, sent confirmation on the 9th/11th September and my AM arrived yesterday morning (29th September).

Frankly, the waiting period can be quite harrowing and disorienting. However, I observed that arming oneself with information from this platform and elsewhere can give one a calming and quietly confident effect.

To those who are looking to apply or get in the process, one thing I can confidently tell you is, 'Information is king!'. Read up as much as you can from this platform and everywhere else necessary, ask not-so-obvious personal questions as it affects you and arm yourself with all the information you can get. I assure that you shall succeed.

Thank you!

Thanks babe, really appreciate. @gabi101 told me so already, just wanted to verify from here. U 2 much...

The prepaid envelope is actually the right price you were informed. It's used to send your original documents back to you, so don't fret.
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by SleekAB: 2:57pm On Aug 05, 2017
Many thanks... But the place far sha o! I'll just make do with the 'scratch paper', as long as it can still verify the result.

Good.

You have a very good point.

Thanks Instructor for the best wishes. I believe I've got that motivation letter sample that you're talking about. However, what I'm asking is if there are standardized guidelines to aid the letter writing.

Regarding the scratch card, why you no' just describe where to get am for here? Others could also benefit.

How 'bout the prepaid envelope, how much is it really?

Destiny...Lolz, I concur.

Wish you success in your upcoming interview. Receive your Visa ijn.

As regards Motivation letter to the embassy, a link was posted few pages back or in part 3.But seems I have a copy as well which I believe is also a format you can use to draft yours. if you are interested you might as well pm me. Time waits for no man.

As regards waec scratch card, the white paper issue has been in practice for some time especially in cyber cafe and some business centre. According to the last person that went for her interview she wasn't asked but that does not say you should not take it along. Hence, since your geographic location is within Lagos .I might as well describe a place for you to get your scratch card (not white paper stuff)

Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by SleekAB: 10:41am On Aug 05, 2017
Thank you!

PlatinumPlato:
I got same type of waec card that was just a piece of paper where the pin was written. I couldnt find any card type of it in bank. I only used it to print the online waec print out result. Hoping to explain to VO after submitting the printout. No one has said he was asked about scratch card during visa interview.

Hi peeps!

Hope all's well with everyone. Many thanks to all who have been providing relevant information regarding this student visa process... You are highly appreciated.

My interview is coming up next week, and I'm still putting stuff together in readiness for my date with destiny... grin Two of the requirements are currently giving me plenty wahala. I'm quite confused on how to go about fixing them and would appreciate your kind responses on what to do to resolve them.

First off, the matter of the Motivation Letter. I'd like to know if there's any standard format to follow in writing one. Is there a maximum length (say two A4 pages?), or is it as the spirit leads?

Second, is the prepaid envelope we're required to submit. I was at the FedEx office at Allen yesterday, and the lady I met told me it's one thousand naira to obtain one, that she had sold some already. Fear catch me well well because I've read on this platform that it's 7K if one purchases from FedEx. I was confused because I thought the purpose of the envelope is to ferry the documents to Germany and back. 1K seemed to cheap to me.

Helpful responses (especially from those who've been through this process already) to the queries above will be highly appreciated.

Thank you!

P.S. I went to a 'Business Centre' to get the scratch card, but I was given some pieces of paper with digits on it. I promptly declined until I get proper clarification too.

Hello Bro,
Thanks for the information.
I just checked DAAD but the deadlines hasn't been changed from July 15.
You know the application is done via Uniassist. Is Uniassit on the same page as the school on this new develpment?
Thanks

The school says to apply through uni-assist if you do not have an Arbitur or German Entrance Qualification. I believe uni-assist should be in tandem with the school's deadline extension.

You can apply through uni-assist, and then inform them through their contact form (fortunately, all you need do is upload all required documents online). Better yet, you can mail the school and ask for guidance/clarification.

Your application is good. The course is a restricted course and the admission process just entered the coordination phase today. This phase will end on the 15th August, by then you should have feedback on whether you got admission or not.

Hi peeps... I salute!

Just to let you know that anyone still interested in hitting Germany this winter semester can apply to HS Rhein-Waal. Application deadline has been extended to 15th August for all non restricted Bachelor's and Master's courses. Enrollment deadline has also been extended to 15th November.

Cheers!

Thanks I sent them a mail through the contact form this evening.I will wait for their response but will certify my documents again and send.

Hi

What they actually require is that you have the original stamp and signature of the relevant authority from your school on the photocopy of your documents. Without that, any other certification is void.

Get that sorted, and then you can notarize if you wish.

When I got such a mail from them, I had to get originally certified copies of my degree certificate from my school which I sent afterwards.

Nope, it's not. You can go with the blocked account opening slip or the details(depending on the bank you used) for the visa interview and fund afterwards. It isn't compulsory to fund before your interview.
For the birth certificate.... Save yourself the stress and get an affidavit if the one you have isn't from NPC

Thank you very much, really appreciate!

Hello peeps!

Hope y'all have a wonderful day in spite of the rain and dreariness. Congratulations to all who have just got their admissions in hand, and best of luck to all having their interviews later tonight.

My date with destiny at the German consulate next month fast approaches.
However, there are many issues regarding filling the application form and the interview in general that are still unclear to me.

I'll briefly state them below, and would appreciate helpful responses from those who have gone this path before or those very informed about this process.

First of, and most pertinent, is this confirmation of blocked account matter. Is it ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to have the required funds in the account BEFORE the interview, or is it only AFTER the interview is done and one is asked to make the transfer? I no' sure say my money go complete before the date.

Second, I'm looking at my birth certificate right now but it's waaaaaay older than 1992. Is it valid for the interview or do I go swear an affidavit at the court?

Third, the form requests for my means of subsistence. Do I simply fill in... funds from blocked account, or is there more to it?

Fourth, it asks for Residence permit no. I suppose I'll simply ignore since I never ever go there before?

Finally, is there anyone at HS Rhein-Waal here, or can anyone connect me with someone at the school already. I hear accommodation can be difficult to come by, which implies one has to start the search for a decent and affordable place months in advance.

Looking forward to your helpful responses/suggestions.

Thank you!

Dude, what the hell is wrong with you? What is your problem? Ever since you got on this thread, you've been spewing meaningless BS on a daily! So just because she expressed an opinion which you found to be unpalatable, you had to cast aspersions on her in 3 posts! what kind of bitter human being are you? I've been ignoring your childishness for so long on this thread but I reckon someone has to put you on a leash and I might as well do it, because why not??

Everyone who has tried to advise and assist you since you started posting on this thread has been met with one form of shade/ sarcastic riposte or the other from you, If you know so much then you don't need to seek the opinion of others on a public platform! If your opinion is the only thing you like to hear, you might as well talk into a mirror all day long. I recall people tried to advise you to not use NIPOST due to the proximity of your application deadline but you shaded every one of them and went ahead to use it because 'My Case is different' and 'Olowogbogboro got my back' , now you're here ranting about your documents not getting delivered with the deadline fast approaching. I also recall you supporting the other feeble minded fellow who came here to spew trash about someone who tried to help him pay uni-assist fees, now you're looking for someone to pay for you. The pissed off part of me would say I hope you don't find anyone to help you pay, but I won't say that; I hope you find someone who is kind and patient enough to handle your immaturity and help you regardless. You need to stop being an ass and in the words of Kendrick Lamar, I advise you to "Sit down!!!, B***h Be Humble!!!"

N.B: Get an English language tutor, you really need one going by your posts here, don't come and join the gang of Nigerians who make 'Oyibo' people wonder if English is really Nigeria's Lingua franca.

Hey! That was really brutal dude! Ejo have marcy...
