It depends on the school. Soft copy admit letters are usually valid without stamp and/or signature.

Thanks man, really appreciate!

You can apply for a visa interview with the soft copy. However, you need to do with the original copy for the interview.

But HS Rhein-Waal only issues soft copies that you have to download from their application portal. So how does one work around that for the visa interview?

Thanks! It's Erasmus Mundus Scholarship sponsored by EU! I applied online and was confirmed in the first quarter of the year.

Hmmn... Quite interesting... Thought Erasmus Mundus was for EU students only, those going on exchange programs?

Details please! Person fit apply next year.

Nice one! I applied on Wednesday too and was given 17th of August by 7:00am! Wish us all the very best of luck bro.

Do you know the documents we're supposed to take with us on the interview day?

Thanks man! There's a checklist on their website under the student visa section. You can use that as a guide.

Good afternoon peeps! A beautiful day isn't it?

I applied for an interview on Wednesday, just got a reply from the consulate. I've been scheduled for August 10th. Anybody else scheduled for that date? I'd like to hook up.

I'd like to say a big thank you to EVERYONE who's posted here trying to help others get sorted. I certainly learnt plenty. Special thanks to all who responded to my specific queries, really appreciate. Now I've got to go study the application process critically and note all I must do.

However, dem say who dey ask road nor dey lost. So I'll appreciate helpful tips/hints from everyone who's gone beyond or is familiar with this stage.

To be over prepared is not a crime, abi?

Thanks y'all! #Expectant

Please, who applied to Deggendorf Institute of Technology?

All my enquiry emails have been bouncing back (not delivering)
Abeg , if you applied there or you have any of their emails I can use to ask them questions.

Please help me with it!

You can email nadine.kappl@th-deg.de. I mailed her first thing this morning and she replied almost immediately.

Hi Tinder!

I think everything will come good eventually as long as it's still within the deadline period. It was so with me though I sent my docs as early as possible because I used ordinary post. Uni-assist confirmed receipt of my docs since early May and then notified on the 24th May that they would forward the applications to the universities very soon. It took another 3 weeks. Process is quite slow. I wrote to them after waiting one and a half weeks and they replied only after they had forwarded the last application. Both schools have contacted me. I'm following up with them.

You can write to uni-assist to enquire about the status of your applications. The deadline is July 15th, so chill a bit but follow up with them.

Tinder:

plz wat do u tink is the issue with uniassit since after confirming receipt of my documents and payment, until now processing not yet started. see my attachment.plz who else is in this situation because the application deadline for all these schools is July 15th. also hope you applied for Deggendorf through Hochschulstart.de because i applied through their th.dg.de and they contacted me to apply conrrectly on hochschulstart.de

Thanks for this man! My mind's fully at ease now. I'll just hope that the other enforced desirables come through before my scheduled date.

Left UI finally in '05. But I'll be doing a BSc again hopefully in International Business/Management. My work experience here informs my decision. Besides in today's world, one's got be globally oriented.

Since you're in Germany already I'd have liked more detailed info as to how it works over there. I'll try the PM thing...

Thanks a lot, u 2 mush!

Hi Bro. you can book a date with the Furtwangen letter and if another admission letter arrives before your interview then attend the interview with your new admission letter. But maybe you should inform the embassy first before showing up with the new admission letter. I did this in 2015 and had no problems whatsoever. I even attended the interview with one international passport but cos that passport had only 1 more year before getting expired, I applied for a fresh international passport and got my visa from the embassy with the new one, although I also mailed them about this beforehand and explained why I decided to get a new passport and they raised no objection. I hope a lot of people who have similar questions can gain something from this.

I also grad from UI in 09 my man, doing my masters in Germany. Bless!

Thanks man, really appreciate!

dobeespen:
It's perfectly okay to apply for an interview date with any letter of admission. What you should do however, is go with the admission letter of the school you would be attending for the visa interview. The visa will have the name of the school you applied with. I suggest you book an appointment as soon as possible instead of waiting because the days are running out. Students are now getting dates as late as September. My advice sha.

Thanks lono22 for the insight... Indeed I've been very worried about booking an appointment with my Furtwangen admission letter because of tuition fees in that state. I would rather play safe and get an appointment with a letter from a tuition free school, but they're not forthcoming and I've got to book early to get an early date. As it is, I'll take my chances with the Furtwangen letter and just hope for the best.

You went to UI too? That's great! I got a BSc there last decade.

lono22:
@ kag 1 yes i applied for another bsc...i had a bsc frm U.I already but am here for another bsc....i will also like to state that guys note that theschool admission letter u use to apply for visa is what will be written on ur student visa..note that the name of the schools admission letter u use to apply for visa interview is what will be on your visa...tho u can change schools buh i always donot advice that ..

The great dobeespen! Thanks for the insight...really appreciate.

Just received my blocked account details from Fintiba. I applied with my admission letter from Futwangen. I was a bit confused whether to apply for for a visa interview or not. With this insight you've shared I suppose I'll just go ahead and book for an appointment this very day. I'm still hoping HTW Berlin, HS Rhein-Waal or Deggeendorf comes through before any interview date I'm scheduled for.

But can one actually swap schools/admission letters at the embassy? Has anyone done it before?

dobeespen:
You can book for an appointment with any letter of admission. I got admission from Furtwangen and used it to apply for a visa. Plus the enrollment deadline is in the first week of September so if you apply for a visa with that letter you'll get an early interview date. I got a date for end of July.

If you didn't hear anything, wait till the first week of July. If you don't hear after that then I don't know oh. You might have to email them to ask them the status of your application. But only successful candidates would be invited to the interview.

Thanks @dobeespen for the suggestion. Truth is I'm no longer eager to go to any school in Baden Württemberg because of the tuition fees.

My dilemma is that the other tuition free schools I applied to are yet to conclude their selection processes and I still have to book for visa interview.

Hi tinder i am a student of student of esb bussiness school reutlingen university What exactly do u need? i got in last semester

Guten Tag!

Though I applied to ESB, I haven't had any response from them regarding selection or otherwise.

However I've been given admission at HFU Business School, Furtwangen. Since you're in Baden Württemberg, kindly shed light on how the newly introduced fees will affect incoming international students. What's the best bet to get scholarship and job opportunities to aid financing our studies?

Thank you..

When did you get your test invite? I did apply but no word from them regardless of the outcome.

Tinder:
Who else has been invited for test n skype interview by EBS business school.abeg letz relate if you applied for this same school, send mi pm.

You have successfully passed the first round in the applicant selection of the International Business (IB) program of ESB Business School. As you have been informed in a separate email, the second round of the assessment process consists of an online admissions test and a personal interview, which is conducted either on campus at ESB Business School in Reutlingen or by a video call via Skype.

Hi everyone!

I'm a newbie here but I've been following the thread. Thanks to all the wonderful contributors, I've certainly gleaned useful info just reading through.

I am also hoping to study in Germany this winter semester and have got one admission already at HS Furtwangen. However, tuition fees to the tune of €1500 per semester is being introduced this winter semester. I'm really worried about booking an appointment for a visa interview with this admission letter.

I'm concerned that it may scuttle my chances of getting an approval even though I may be able to come up with funds for the blocked account.

Can someone kindly advise with helpful suggestions.

P.S. I've got other applications to tuition free universities pending...

Waiting patiently for your suggestions. Thank you.
