Fashion / 5 Fundamental Fashion Style Skills Every Man Should Master by sleekjamz(m): 4:03pm On Dec 30, 2017
On your way to a meeting with the boss…in line for a promotion…

But you can’t get your tie to hold a dimple.

You notice a massive crease in your shirt sleeve

You’ve got a bad scuff on your dress shoes…you don’t have 30 minutes to shine them up.

So much for your chances right?

Wrong.

Most of the essential skills that men need to look their sharpest are quick and easy.

I’m going to show you 5 fundamental style skills every man should master…

If you do, these tricks will help you put out style “fires” before they start.

1. Shining your shoes

Odds are, unless you join the military, you never need to be discipline for not having sparkling shoes. Regardless, it is an awesome expertise to have in your man store. Whether it’s an upcoming wedding, graduation or just one more day at the workplace, a couple of gleaming shoes can separate you as a man that knows how to deal with himself.
Not only does shining your shoes look great, it is an important piece of appropriately nurturing and keeping up a decent match of leather shoes or boots. The polish itself saturates and waterproof the leather, increasing a shoes lifespan.

2. Ties

For thoes of you who search online or watch youtube videos just to knot your tie you seriously need to learn how to knot your ties without following online instructions everytime.

Men may sometimes feel limited to classic looks, but these looks haven’t stood the test of time because they’re just some run of the mill passing trends. A suit is certainly one timeless look that demands respect, but let’s break it down a little further. The tie is pretty much the one variable that really pulls the entire suit together and fetches boatloads of respect from friends, foes, and strangers. You check here on how to knot some awesome ties.‎

3. Press shirt.

The truth of the matter is a considerable amount of men don’t know how to press a shirt. It’s not something to be embarrassed about. Growing up, dear old mother most likely pressed your dress shirts,  and now your wife does this chore.  But a man should act naturally adequate. He shouldn’t need to depend on another person to guarantee that he looks adequate. He’s accountable for that. In the event that an unforeseen meeting or date comes up, a man knows how to prepare and out the door way looking like a million bucks.
Note with regards to your appearance and establishing a decent first impression. Wrinkles draw the eye of those you meet. Having well pressed shirts shows the world that you’re a man of decipline and order, a man who has his stuff together and understands that the details matter. And a crisp shirt really pulls together a handsome outfit. Throw on a well-ironed shirt, and you get a bit of confident pep in your step; it just feels good.

Ironing isn’t hard when you get the hang of it. You can get a shirt done in less than 5 minutes. And boom–you’re ready to take on the world.

4. Pocket Square

In the event that you haven’t had a go at decorating your suit, shirt, and tie with a pocket square then the seven reasons underneath ought to persuade you enough to try it out:

1.A pocket square adds nice color and more live to suit, shirt, and tie.
2.The pocket square is a perfect complement to your necktie.
3.A pocket square instantly adds a touch of sophistication and elegance to your ensemble.
4.Using a pocket square allows you to “dress up” or “dress down” an outfit.
5.Best “bang for buck” accessory! – The pocket square earns you lots of style points for little money.
6.Expand your wardrobe – Wearing a pocket square gives the same suit a different look each day.
7.Last but not least, a pocket square allows you to add more personal style to an otherwise uniform looking outfit.

Unique and Sophisticated

Looking for a different pocket square? then this fold, sometimes also called “two tips up” fold might be perfect. It suits any pocket square color & pattern. Personally I choose this fold for patterned pocket squares accessorizing a casual-sleek outfit that is rather sophisticated than formal.

Directions:

1. Place your pocket square on a clean & flat surface.
2. Fold one side over so that you get two triangles that overlap. I prefer the look of having one tip higher than the other (see illustration above).
3. Now fold one side in.
4. Do the same on the opposite side.
5. Place your folded pocket square in your breast pocket and you are already done‎.

5.Sleeve Roll

For one thing, rolled sleeves are a flexible method for changing the state of mind rapidly of your outfit.

One roll

can flag the work day is finished and the real adventure has just started. Or then again one roll can mean you’re not staying long, or you’re suiting up soon and don’t have any desire to go full roll.

Two rolls is the classic.

Your sleeve is currently covered up by the sleeve fabric and the more tightly rolls begins to happen. Two rolls ought to be most men’s standard when unsuited.

Three rolls is true “gettin’ er done” Territory.
You are not rolling three times to back down from whatever your bold life throws your way. Three rolls can help keep your shirt clean when the day gets deep.

Fashion / 7 Things That A Gentleman Should Not Wear by sleekjamz(m): 7:03am On Nov 10, 2017
It doesn’t matter how confident you are as a gentleman when it comes to outfit ideas, there are some pieces of clothes that a man should not put on his body.

In today’s topic reader I will be discussing on ‘7 things that a gentleman should not wear’

1. Too much fragrance as a gentleman.

OK guys am putting this on number one spot on my list, cause I know many guys are fond of the habit of putting on too much fragrance.
Gentlemen always remember you wanna be discovered, you don’t wanna walk into a room or a classroom or probably into an office and announce yourself.

Seriously unless you want to annoy your crazy colleague at your work place, some people don’t have to smell you all day in the office.

You can start off with one spray and make sure you do yourself a favour and find a fragrance that works for you.

2. Logo embroidered trousers .

I wrote an article on ‘5 Incredible Fashion Ideas Trending For Men’ and I discussed about avoiding large logos on your shirts.

Lets talk about that on trousers, why will a gentleman put on trousers that is embroidered with logos, like I said unless they are paying you why the hell will you advertising a logo on your trousers like a billboard.

3. Skinny jeans.

I will tell you directly please avoid skinny jeans if you are not skinny.

I know a lot of guys want to blend with the latest trending fashion wears and they end up putting on skinny jeans, yes it might be cool on your friend doesn’t mean it will be OK on you.

So in general I do not like to see big men trying to squeeze themselves inside these skinny and trying to show the world everything about them.

4. Studded belts.

Seriously, I explain in my previous post about avoid belts with huge logo because it doesn’t look cool on a gentleman another thing to avoid on belt are studs on belt, like seriously they don’t look cool.
Image
Anytime I see men with studs all over their belts they look awkward.

Guys you wanna avoid studded belt when you pass the age of ten.

5. Gentlemen Wearing dress shirt untucked.

Gentlemen please if it’s a dress shirt it is made to be tuck in, always tuck in a dress shirt.

Now a casual shirt you can wear untucked because they are often made to, but make sure you get it adjusted to be the right fit, it should not be way down to cover your buttocks that will be way too long, it should be 2-3 inches long and when you raise your hands it should cover your mid section that’s gonna be the good line for the shirt, but if it’s a dress shirt it’s always tucked in.

6. Pajama pants in public.

You really need to avoid putting on Pajama pants in public and think it’s fashion, well unless your house is on fire and you have to run out of your house with your pajamas, OK that’s alright.
But I see you on the street or in a shopping store with pajamas you really need to change you style.

7. Socks with sandals.

well it always amaze me that I keep saying it times with out number that socks were not made for sandals, if you want to wear your sandals it’s preferable you rock them with no socks.
Thats it for today guys, hope you enjoy my discussion on ‘7 things a gentleman should not wear’.

Fashion / Outfit Ideas: 5 Shirt You Can Put On To Look Smart With Your Black Jeans by sleekjamz(m): 2:49pm On Nov 09, 2017
Actually one difficulty most men experience, is outfit ideas on picking what shirt to wear with jeans, most especially that black jeans. Thats why most men dress wrongly, Shirts and jeans are two crucial cornerstones to any man’s wardrobe and, when combined properly, offer a failsafe partnership that will stand the test of time.

On today’s post I will be giving you a run-down on every style you need to know concerning your shirts and black jeans, just to save you the trouble of trail and error.

It’s easy to think that there are only a few options for you to play around with but you’d be wrong.

Actually there are a lot of choice out there you can choose depending on your occasion.

Here I will be discussing basically how to look smart with your pair of black Jean, this simple style guide should fill you in on what to wear with black jeans. Find out how to style them below.
Outfit ideas on How to Wear a Shirt with Jeans.

1. If you are slightly large as a man I will advice to keep of from super skinny jeans, choose a pair of straight or tapered fit instead.

2. Yes you want to look smart with you baggy, distressed or light wash jeans, well it’s best to wear them during the day time, because it is difficulty if not impossible to make this style smart during the evening time.

Before putting on that pair of black Jean of yours do you mind considering the shape and fit of the Jean? Well you need to if you want to look smart with your black Jean.

Check out this simple Jeans Shape and Fit.

1. Skinny fit jeans.

For the skinny fit the jeans is expected to sit below the waist and should cut close from the thigh right to the leg opening. Some of the extreme version of the skinny jeans are the ‘spray-on’ skinny jean or even ‘jeggings’ made with stretch denim. Please note that it’s not advisable to match a super skinny jeans with a pretty tight top, but rather you can try a skinny jeans with a mid oversized shirt.

2. Slim fit jeans.

Slim fit jeans are usually mid-rise, streamlined but not skinny and tapered from the thigh to the ankle. When it’s a slim jeans there should be a little space in the thigh area, they are not pretty extreme like the skinny jeans. Your shirt a little tight can match well with this kind of fit jeans.

3. Taper fit jeans.

A pair of tapered fit jeans are of a lower rise, are wider across the thighs with a narrowed hem at the ankle. You can roll this kind of jeans at the cuff to achieve a nice look, these pair of Jean can best fit any shirt whether little bit tight or oversized shirt.

4. Relaxed/Wide leg jeans.

Don’t get this confused with a bootleg cut as the two are very different and unlike bootleg you should actually wear this style in public. This fit is looser through the seat and thigh with a wider, yet still slightly tapered, opening at the ankle. Works best with a tucked in shirt.

What to Wear With Black Jeans.

One great thing I love about black jeans is how it fits with different tops from your wardrobe. With their versatile colour they can be dressed with to fit both casual and formal looks.

So what goes with black jeans? What are decent jean outfits? Well, they’re a versatile garment so really anything goes with these bad boys. You can combine them with neutral shades for a minimalist look, or add some colour for a more eye-catching look.

Anybody can choose what shirt to wear with black jeans, but believe me below are some of the best combination of shirt and black jeans you can try.

Black Jeans and Black Shirt.

This is the everything-all-black, yes you saw it clear black top on black jeans is super dope and make sure to get the perfect shades, If not, your clothes will look faded and worn out. For example, if wearing slightly faded jeans then always wear a fully opaque black shirt but don’t wear faded black on your bottom and top half.

Skinny jeans add a more casual look to your outfits, while slim and straight fit jeans are more suitable for a formal occasion. Why don’t you rock a loafers for a formal look or you can put on white trainers for an urban street style, just cuff your jeans and everything is set.

Black Jeans and White Shirt

When it comes to black jeans, one of the easiest shirts to match them with is the
classic white shirt. You can keep things simple and maintain a casual edge, or smarten things up and use a pair of black jeans as an alternative to suit trousers.

Regardless of how you pair things up, it’s still a good idea to keep your jeans skinny, slim or straight fit to ensure that things look right with the outfit. Anything too baggy, even for a casual look, is going to give your look a unarranged structure and make the jeans contrast too much with the shirt. For a casual look with your white shirt you can go for a light material such as linen to bring out the vibe.

Pink or Blue Shirt with Black Jeans

Black is a versatile colour that is very cool on jeans, this allow for a nice combination when you mix different color of shirt with your black jeans.
Are you looking for a different color of shirt to try on apart from your daily black and white tops? Why don’t you try out pastel colours such as pale blue and soft pink as they’re a great choice to add colour to an outfit in a subtle way.

Navy Shirt And Black Jeans

Pairing a navy shirt with a blue jeans well the result will be quite flat and monotone.

Avoid matching your navy blue shirt with an overly
dark pair of denim. With navy being a deep shade of blue, it’ll inevitably absorb most of the light and so will your jeans. you can always wear a navy shirt with your black jeans I bet you it will totally rock and look stylish on you.
The dark colours allow the outfit to flow nicely from head to toe, it looks neat and well put together.

Khaki Shirts with Black Jeans

Although, most men can often be reluctant to try this trend because they think that they’re difficult to pair with other items of clothing. The key is to wear it in small doses such as a shirt or bomber jacket or even accessories such as a hat can really make a difference.

Hopefully this guide will have given you an in-depth look at the various ways to team a great pair of jeans and a fashionable shirt.
Alongside this, the sheer range of fits and styles, from distressed to just cuffed mean that there’s something for everyone. One thing is for sure, a quality pair of men’s black jeans will last you a lifetime of classic style and slick outfit looks.
