Crime / Re: Schoolgirl Flogged In Ilorin, Leg Infected Over School Fees. Photos by sleekysol(f): 9:40am On Jun 18, 2018
I think something is wrong here. Did the teacher use stick to flog her did the teacher hit her on the legs hard to break a leg bone?. This story is just too cryptic. In any case flogging a student for not paying school fees is just demonic. Better send her out of the school premises

Celebrities / Re: Photo Of Seyi Law At The National Stadium For Protest by sleekysol(f): 12:37pm On Feb 06, 2017
It is funny most guys are here bashing tuface olamide donjazzy and the rest when all we are doing is sit in out cramped offices room or wherever typing on touch screen phones and keyboards. Atleast some of them spoke there mind and came out openly to support. National stadium is ot a private club any one can go there and join the protest yet no one is even thinking of standing up. Our real problem is that we are too quiet about our pains.
Crime / The Growing Rate Of Corruption Within The Nigerian Police Force by sleekysol(f): 8:28am On Sep 25, 2016
I write this piece to bring to our consciousness the alarming growth rate of corruption within the nigerian police force. I will attempt not to politise this post but it is almost impossible.A quick look around inner surburbs of Lagos will show the infamous men in black standing confidently demanding cash grants from public and yes private commuters! Alarmingly this is growing by the day as illegal check points are now clustering inner streets of lagos.

This dastardly act was eradicated to an almost extinction under previous Inspector generals of police but it seems the nigerian police unit has grown a careless wing under this new leadership. Dailly we read stories of police assualting a citizen here or shooting another there, this acts are beggining to skyrocket and if not curtailed I fear for our country Nigeria. Recession is biting hard and this men in black are also feeling the sting of the economy and given that they have the power and the weapon one can only fear for the masses.

The IGP needs to look into this issue immediately except he is in synch with perpetrators else he needs to curb this menace before it gets too ugly.

A thief is a thief
A criminal is a criminal
A crime is a crime.

There is NO justification for crime.
We have many truck pushers in our society and they're ready to do that till death instead of taking what is not theirs.

Banks don't owe their workers. They paid at aand when due so if think the pay is too small then resign.

shaking my head for you

Hmmmm.. There's a point in what the man said.. If u burnt ur night candles for all those banking professional exams like CIBN,ICANS and other exams that makes you certified..

U wouldnt want to get urself involved in something that'll get ur certificate forfeited when you're caught but all those ond holders casual staffs can do whatever they like..

I think, its high time they're flushed out of the system. Though, frauds wont get eliminated totally from the system when they're flushed out but frauds will minimize.. My 2 cents.

Check my signature for ur customised wristband.

Unfortunately you have said the most stupid thing i have ever heard in all my life. the so called NDIC is a sham in the first place, outsourced staff has kept the banking system ticking and alive. majority of fraud committed in banks are done by so called full staff and managements of these banks. young man if u don't know what to say please keep your mouth perfectly mute and don't speak bull dung.

Career / Re: How Access Bank Treated Us Unjustly by sleekysol(f): 11:32am On May 21, 2015
FOR THE TWO QUOTEES BELOW IF AM ALLOWED TO USE THAT WORD I SAY TO YOU BE CAREFUL HOW YOU UNDERMINE SOMEONE ELSES' PAIN. THAT YOUR OWN EMPLOYMENT SITUATION IS FAVOURABLE DOESNT MEAN YOU WILL ENFORCE OTHERS TO ACCEPT MEDIOCRITY. YES I RAISED EYE BROW TO THE ANONYMITY OF THE OP BUT IS HE SAYING ANYTHING THAT IS NOT THE TRUTH?
IF ACCESS BANK ARE SO CONFIDENT OF THEIR CONDUCT LET THEM COME OUT WITH ANOFFICIAL STATEMENT. THESE PRIVATE SECTORS ARE PREYING ON THE YOUTHS YET THEY CLAIM THESE YOUTHS ARE NOT QUALIFIED, THE PLACE PHONY JOB OPENINGS ON SOCIAL MEDIA WITH PHONY JOB REQUIREMENT BECAUSE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMET IS DOCILE. SOME ONE RIGHTLY SAID YOU CANT EXPECXT CHANGE IN A COUNTRY WHERE THE YOUTHS ARE ECONOMICALLY OPPRESSED. WHAT WE ARE BREEDING IS A CARNIVAL OF MADNESS, A CIRCUS OF SOUGHT BUT A BLOODY CIRCUS IT WILL BE. NIGERIA SHOULD WAKE UP AND SAVE ITS YOUTH FROM PERIL.

P.S I wrote in capitals to really portray my mood as i am typing this response.

elookoo:

You spoke my mind. I had to read the ops post again, he stated at the beginning that they were recruited through various outsourcing firms......that is one of the reasons the salary is small, outsourcing firms are out to make profit so they will not pay the exact amount the bank is paying them. I think the people to blame is your outsourcing firm not access bank.
from all the op posted he has no grouse with acess bank but with himself and the society which makes things like this possible, the op is just one of the tens of millions of Nigerian youths who faces unemployment and underemployment. I have had to leave my salary for employers twice cos they were not willing to pay and I had to move on. that you are being owed your allowances or incentives is not enough to start degrading your employer, cos you never mentioned in your post that you are owed salary, even FG dey owe its workers allowances.

SORRY BRO, ITS THE REALITY OF BEING A NIGERIAN GRADUATE

Business / Re: Xenophobia: MTN Nigeria Warns Of 6,000 Job Losses by sleekysol(f): 10:37am On Apr 21, 2015
Nigerians will loose jobs but Lets not forget MTN has built many multi billion dollar buildings in Nigeria. loosing that should outweighs any loss Nigerians will experience and loosing a whooping 15 million subscribers will almost definitely crash there portfolio

Bottom line is if Nigerians are loosing valuables out there and the South African government remains mute before long it will fuel reprisal attacks on these companies and surely Africa is heading to a continental war.

Romance / Re: Gay And Depressed. by sleekysol(f): 7:06am On Mar 29, 2015
firstly u need to put things in perspective, are u frustrated about being gay because you hate it or because you fins it difficult to satisfy your sexual desire because of the limited gay guys around? are you afraid of loving a woman cuz of experience you have had growing up? you need to first seek the truth about yourself. do u feel any under ground superiority knowing you are gay these things can affect you desire to change. if u can successfully profile yourself then your solution is simply abstain from sex till you get married. that will solve 90% of your issue mix around with great women of virtue chances are majority of your female friends are either lesbians or girls with intent for it Who find your being with you convinient. change your company go to a very involved church and open up to sumone there. but by and large change nust come from you.

Phones / Re: The Airtel Sim Breaking Thread(T.A.S.B.T) by sleekysol(f): 6:08pm On Dec 04, 2013
Unfortunately people are getting things a bit thwarted. BIS is an ancronym for "blackberry internet subscription" noe bbm internet subscription. the way a blacberry was designed it consumes very minimal data during internet connectivity. andriod, ios, symbian, windows phones consumes a very large amount of data when connecting to the internet. as a matter of fact 80% of applications on these oher operating systems are best enjoyed on wifi. that being said the cry for bis subscription to run on andriod operated phones is quite uneven. rather our campaign should be on the reduction of data price by these ntwork insuch a way that 5gig data bundle could go for like 2000 naira this would satisfy the average user in the country. but in anycase i would advice most nigerians to start thinking wifi it amazes me that the wireless connectivity business hasnt really hit topgear yet in the country considering the insane amount of sophisticated gagdets shipped into the country yearly

Business / Re: Staff In Nairalander's UBA Account-Issue Sacked! by sleekysol(f): 7:01am On Sep 17, 2013
Gaskia: The bank just did the highest EYE SERVICE. I just found out that most of what the staff did was due to fear of being punished by therir control dept. I hear their control dept usually punish them for opening account without complete references.
How could the guy combine attending to customers complaints, opening accounts and going out to another bank to confirm reference? I understand he is the sole customer attendant in the whole branch.
Who are those that made the processes and policies?
Why sacrifice him instead of changing your anti customer polices and processes then caution him and correct him. Am sure he would have become a better person.
He committed no fraud, he was not insulting, he was just uncaring and afraid to bend the bank's written and unwritten rules?
What did their customer care head quarters do after the first email from the dissatisfied guy?
Did they contact the sacked branch to give directive on how best to handle?
Do they have a written document shown to the staff on how best to handle such situation?

This is oppression in my opinion. My account officer once worked in UBA b4 she was fired for not bringing money.
They sacrifice defenseless staff to save their poor faces.
The environment of most of their branches and almost nationwide poor customer service shows the have an endemic systemic problem, not the staff.

I feel bad about this. They should recall him .
. Exactly what I was trying to say too much policy too much fear of loosing your job yet customers are not dully informed through social medias on these policies. Hence customers see the staff as the problem not the bank.

It is really sad this dude lost his job. The truth is the only blame he had was following protocol too much without being insightful. So much policies but human wisdom is also required to work in a bank. I pray the guy moves on and get grow from this lesson. Harsh it is but then it always a tight rope to walk.... Banking sector
Business / Re: UBA: What's Killing Your Great Brand?-A FOLLOW UP AFTER MEETING UBA GROUP by sleekysol(f): 10:23pm On Sep 10, 2013
First of all I would want you to understand some basic facts, UBA isn't the problem as a matter of fact what u experienced was unfortunate because you dint get the full picture. CBN policies on account opening has become overbearing. UBA did their best to service you by opening the account but putting it on debit freeze. Your refrees were actually the issue most likely from another bank which could take 6months at serious cases to get back but thankfully banks have E-referencing now which will shorten the time for that. You need understand that CBN has a lot of policies and banks that fail will be sanctioned hence the reason for the supposed service failure here. Am talking on a general note because truth is am not a UBA staff but if you walked into any other bank you probably might find same challnge in getting your dorm account opened. Please Nlanders let's seek knowledge before condemning so much is happening around us that we take for granted but later get agrieved at.

@alyarmouk am sorry to say but whoever u r u must be a beast of no gender. is nysc camp a war zone that u would take away someone's fundamental human right? the soldiers were put in the camp to regulate and protect not to beat any corp member. they are not even allowed to use physical torture except a case of crminal activity was detected. so whatever planet u r living in head back because if were that girls's father the comandant must face jail terms and nysc/nigerian army would be sued for milloins of naira

A good song to hear bt certainly won't be as captivating as the orinal song coz it lacks punchlines and to address the dbanj issue; BangerLEe isn't after the music as an individual nymore he is more of a poineer a promoter and dats his master plan selling naija flavours out dia dat being said I wld like ppl to stop the parallel comparision with Donjazzy. Donjazzy is a natural born music maker like it or not his talent in makin music sells him and Dbanj is a natrual born music sEller his promoting abilities r up there.

First of all as regards the Baga killings what headway has the human right condemnation produced?
Secondly the police force is a well structured organization the should be investigating and making arrest now
And finally I will suggest that rather than bickering and fighting one another on trivial issues let's cum together and condemn the act of terrorism as a nation with one voice and one goal that is the blurry way forward
