Don't mind them. From my observation so far across various social media platforms, most Nigerian youths reason so illogically and stoopidly. If not for this recent japa, most wouldn't have used their eyes to witness functioning societies and how they operate. With the presence and spread of the Internet, one would have thought that most of our young folks would use it to read about cities in different parts of the world and ask themselves hard questions:

- How did these people build this stuff?
- How is it maintained?
- What was the process involved?

When I was young, I watched "Megafactories" on National Geographic, browsed "Howstuffworks" and read about various cities and their infrastructures. I recalled being mesmerised by Hong Kong's skyscrapers and wondering, how do they maintain these buildings? I fell in love with civil engineering. While very young, I questioned roads without pedestrian walkways which are fully covered. In fact, I consider a road well constructed when there are appropriate markings and covered gutters. Passersby aren't supposed to see what is inside.

The truth be say. there is a very odd way in which the average Nigerian reasons/thinks: brash, illogical, braggadocio, loud and dogmatic. Nigerians in general hate fact-based debates. They prefer "I no fit lie give you" and "dem tell me say".

You are very correct. I know most Nigerians don't like reading so they happily wallow in ignorance. But even while watching movies, ones is forced to wonder how these guys in the west and Asia did these miracles. How they are able to maintain big cities and keep it extremely clean and maintain infrastructure and systems that works for all not just for politicians.

We still live and talk like cave men... Chasing tribal superiority, ignorant pomposity, vaịn royalty and political power which never translate to development and progress of the nation or any tribe.

When will they realize that no one is a winner here, we are all losing together and soon there will be nothing left for anyone here.

I'm in support of anything that will put an end to violence in the southeast but it should be done following the rule of law.

So the army have my support as long as they are doing the right thing and protecting the innocent.

Nigerians you people are funny and extremely shallow and backward. See the mess in the CS.....youth hyping mediocrity in the name of tribalism.

When will yall realize that no part of Nigeria is developed.... Not Lagos, not anywhere. That is why someone with a functional brain will suspend common sense and support a known failure and criminal just because he’s his tribesman.

Oga no one gets out of this shithole alive Y'all should wake up and wise up... The world has left us donkey years behind.

Politics / Re: Wale Edun: World Bank Has Approved $2.25bn Loan For Nigeria by slowice(m): 7:31am On Jun 14
I thought they have saved trillions from subsidy.?

If you are deceived by this government its because you want to be deceived. Just like buhari's tenure, there's nothing innovative, sophisticated or smart about their operations.... Just the normal vibes and inshallah till 8yrs and they leave.

No country can operate this way and prosper, never. Believe it or not Nigeria is a staggering giant and it's fall is eminent and will be loud if we don't retrace our steps, shun tribalism, bigotry, nepotism, religion and go for the best amongst us.

As an Anioma indigene, my dream has always been to join my kins in the south east.

The ekwumeku resistance was the beginning of the Balkanization of igbo land. The British added us to the then western region because the guerrilla warriors were traveling across the Niger to hide from the colonial British after they attack.

They British knew fully well that we are Igbos because they themselves added us to the 1903 map of Igboland.

That said any Anioma person that believes that they are Edo is free to travel there and live.

No inch of Igboland will go to outsiders.

You have spoken like a true igbo son... With limitless pride and drops of arrogance. You are your father's son.

epainos:
Hmmm!

Most South-Southers feel betrayed by this criticism. Only Tinubu's opponents in SW and most of SE oppose this project. Some things should be left unsaid. To be honest, if this project is completed, the support gap between BTW, SS, and SE will widen significantly.

Akpabio and Tinubu are seriously uniting SS and SW. Hmmmm! Look at it deeply. While Igbos are just making it extremely hard to unite with them. Do you really think SS will follow their Biafran agenda? OK, oooo. But there are roads going through SE now. Their son serves as the Works Minister. But anything about SS, if it does not benefit Igbo, they spoilt it. And then some irrelevant SW too join them. But the truth is that SS will only count this man's article as a trash. Lol.

Regardless of what you say, I support any infrastructure development. This is what we need now. We need to connect everywhere.

Na food una want. Gluttons. If we sacrifice food to complete these infrastructure development projects, it is a win-win situation. We can not do much until we have a system in place to prevent looting. But at least, let them build Nigeria. What is so hard in this? Instead, let us put pressure on Tinubu to complete it, or ensure that the next president does. This should be our goal. Everyone should go to their constituency and ensure that their representatives begin submitting developmental ideas and projects to the presidency. Let us all wake up and press their heads. Let's stop this bitterness here and there.

As Ben Murray Bruce has stated, if you do not like the road after it is completed, do not drive on it.

Stop flooding your entire neighborhood with your spit and keep the southeast out of your mouth. They are the only realistic Nigerians who steadily call a spade by its real name. You are free to keep swimming in self delusion as long as you want.
Like the writer said, the furthest that road will go in 7yrs is Ogun state borders and nothing more. I even feel he's very generous with that. I want to believe that the south south is in Ogun state so enjoy your coastal road to nowhere.

As a famous son of the south-south Ben Bruce, said, “SINCE YOU DON’T LIKE THE ROAD, WHEN THEY BUILD IT, DON’T DRIVE ON IT!”

Anything that goes to south-south is going to “nowhere”.

The same south-south that is feeding your mothers.

Idiots.

Oga wake up from this self imposed delusion..... That road isn't going anywhere need the south south, not even in 30yrs. What? Are you guys teenagers or what?
