Personally I don’t care about this classified documents matter. I think it’s a silly law and way too many documents are over-classified by the US government because of the ridiculous culture of secrecy that has permeated across all its agencies. On a broader note, given all the issues that the Nigerian police have, and given that in the US we are finally coming to the place where we are getting more accountability for the Police, why are some Nigerians here trying to claw that back by defending it? Very weird use of your time. It would seem you would try to use it as a springboard to try to get equal or even more accountability for the Security apparatus in Nigeria. When I'm in Nigeria, I stay at a hotel near the tollgate. So what happened there feels especially close to home.
