Hi guys,

I made a video detailing the exploitation of a blind SQL injection in a PHP based website and how an attacker can use it to gain access to the administration pages. Then, using this access, the attacker will be able to gain code execution on the server by using a configuration issue.

What you will learn?

=> Blind SQL injection exploitation using time-based exploitation
=> Hiding Webshell Backdoor Code in Image Files
=> Gaining code execution using a PHP webshell

Lemme know what y'all think

BackTrack6: Yea, I actually used Cain to crack mine. Just asked. I will try Slyr0x's mthd.

Something has been popping up in my mind these few days. Since we are a bunch of Whites, with plenty of Blacks and Greys here (this can't be disputed), I was thinking if some hacking competitions can come up here just in order to help the neophytes grow. Competitions that involve some steganography, hex editing etc. Wetin una think?

Great idea bro. .I actually worked on some hacking challenges some years back (links below)

1st Pre-Lab here : https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-686713.0.html
2nd Pre-Lab here: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-686904.0.html

5th Pre-Lab here: https://www.nairaland.com/745579/hacking-challenge-cross-site-scripting

. .and another thread "Web Security Tutorials" that served as a discussion room for solving Enigma Group's hacking challenges. .

I discontinued the threads though as Seun was not too keen on having hacking threads on Nairaland 'cos of Google Ads. .Now that Google ads have been scrapped, we can push forward this great idea. .

There are 2 ways to which we could go about this :

1. Use an already built hacking challenge site like hackthissite, enigma group while Nairaland will serve as the discussion room
2. We can contribute and buy a dedicated server. .this way, we can have full control over the server as well as developing/uploading "vulnerable by design" OS. .i.e. rooting a linux box through some web application vulns etc

Great idea. .count me in. .

BackTrack6: Hey kiddie, I was talking about catchin packets wirelessly from BT5 running in a virtual machine. If it were running as a host OS there would be no problem with the wireless connection.

Vmware doesn't read your wi-fi card as a wi-fi card. It reads it as a virtual lan.

There are 2 solutions:

1.) You either install BT on your hard drive directly without no virtualization
2.) Buy a USB wireless adapter for your Backtrack 0wnage. .You could buy the one recommended by Kiddie or TP-LINK TP-WN722N USB Wireless Network Adapter (Image below)

^^^Well said. .

But how is talking about "reliable web hosting site that can host botnets" like the post below Whitehat?

megatran: i have tried this crypter before, but it seems the free version still gets detected by antiviruses.. and justthinking could you pls give me a reliable web hosting site that can host botnets..i need one urgently..tnks
.

Inasmuch as we all want to disseminate information, like you rightly mentioned, we should be very careful as there is a very thin line between both. For malware researchers/analysts, learning how to write bots just like the russians, could be an added advantage. .but the moment the reason for your knowledge acquisition is so you can infect people with malwares and recruit victims into your botnet(s), then I must say, there is nothing ethical about your deeds!

Then try accessing your wp-admin again. After you must have logged in, you should try activating ALL your plugins one at a time. That way you can easily eliminate the erring plugin

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / English Premier League Week 5 In Review by Slyr0x: 2:02pm On Sep 30, 2013
The standout fixture of match day 5 was the lunchtime fixture between former colleagues(master & protege). Jose Mourinho's Chelsea took to the road to take on AVB's Spurs.

The other highlights of the weekend saw the return to Premier League action by Luis Suarez. By the end of the weekend, they were more shocks than joy depending on what side of the divide you're on. Here's how the games panned out.

Spurs 1 – 1 Chelsea

Spurs returned their big guns to the line up after resting a couple for their midweek victory at Villa Park in the league cup. Chelsea too, returned the favor as expected with only a handful keeping their places from both teams.

Spurs dominated the opening half and got just reward when Sigurdsson fired them in front. A sleek move involving the same trio of Eriksson, Soldado & Sigurdsson made it a very good team goal despite the best efforts of John Terry.

The introduction of Mata at Half time seemed to spur on Chelsea and the spaniard was instrumental in drawing his team level, his freekick meeting the head of John Terry who made no mistake. The game was to end that way but not before Fernando Torres saw red for an elbow, he had earlier received a yellow for a foul(and scratch) on Vertonghen. It was against the same player he got the 2nd yellow.

Manchester United 1 – 2 West Brom

Contrasting fortunes for both teams midweek in the Capital One cup and with the way United started the game, you expected a blitz of goals. Despite the absence of many starters including RVP & Vidic, the bright displayfrom Nani who put in various
crosses into the box, the first half ended goal less.

The 2nd half was an entirely different story, United were put on the backfoot for most of it as Westbrom attackers constantly targeted the left side of defense . It came as no surprise when they took the lead. Amalfitano took on two players, nutmegged Ferdinand, made De Gea sit on the floor before chipping the ball over him.

United response, in typical fashion was swift, an ambitious freekick from Wayne Rooney found the bottom corner with no one getting a touch on it. West Brom weren't to be denied though as they scored another, teenager Behraimo who shone against
Arsenal found the bottom corner from 20 yards with a sweet volley. It was to be the winner and it condemned United to back to back league losses.

Aston Villa 3 – 2 Man City

Another set of teams with contrasting midweek adventures. Aston Villa looking to bounce back especially with the news that star striker Benteke faces a spell on the sidelines. City were looking to build on the back to back wins. Aguero & Silva were left out with the game against Bayern to come in mind.

Yaya Toure set things rolling with another goal, tapping in from a Samir Nasri corner. The half ended that way but the 2nd half provided the excitement. El Mohammady pulled one back for the home team after good work from Bacuna.

It didn't take City long to score again and it was a replica of the first one, Nasri's corner finding the head of Dzeko. Villa dragged themselves back into as Joe Hart could only watch as Bacuna powered a freekick beyond him. It was a beauty.

The home team had the last laugh to leave City and Joe Hart with eggs on their faces. A long punt from Brad Guzan landed infront of Weimann who touched it once past the onrushing Joe Hart to give Villa all 3 points.

Fulham 1 – 2 Cardiff City

Fulham welcomed Welsh side Cardiff hoping to ease the pressure on Martin Jol. Cardiff however failed to read the script. They played Fulham off the park and got the goal they deserved when Captain Caulker powered home a header from a Whittingham corner.

Fulham didn't roll over and got an equalizer. It was an absolute pearl, Sasha Reichter picked up the ball and fed Bryan Ruiz. The Costa Rican picked his spot and curled it beyond the goalkeeper from way out.

Both teams traded blows but Cardiff bagged the winner and it was a similar goal to that of Ruiz as Mutch curled in his beyond David Stockdale to give them all 3 points and pile more misery on Martin Jol.

Hull 1 – 0 West Ham

This turned out to be a very dull affair with the solitary goal coming from a Robbie Brady penalty. The penalty itself was a harsh decision as it was mostly a coming together. He stepped up to sink it.

West Ham thought they had scored but thanks to goal line technology, no goal was given as the ball had barely crossed the line. Sam Allardyce needs a quick fix as pressure is starting to mount on him as his side have been less than convincing this
season.

Southampton 2 – 0 C Palace

This was a game of two tales, water tight defense team Southampton welcomed goal shy Crystal Palace to the stadium of light and the game followed the form book.

Crystal palace failed to score , not that they didn't create chances, Southampton's defense just prevailed. So'ton meanwhile scored twice with their two strikers on target. First Osvaldo opening his account after good work from Lambert & Lallana before Lambert sent a glorious freekick into the net. It ended that way.

Swansea 1 – 2 Arsenal

The form team of the season Arsenal took it all to South Wales hoping to return to the top of the table after being dislodged temporarily by rivals Spurs. Swansea, were looking to bounce back after a humiliating exit in the League Cup.

The Swans put up a good fight and kept Arsenal on the back in the first 45 but had no clear cut chances. Instead, Arsenal could have gone ahead after good work from teenager Gnabry who weaved his way through to set up Giroud who couldn't finish.

The 2nd half was a different affair as Arsenal stepped it up and went infront. Inform midfielder Aaron Ramsey provided Gnabry with the assist and he finished for his first senior goal for the club.

A quick 2nd followed, Jack Wilshere went after what seemed a lost cause and won it back, he fed Giroud who should have scored but passed to Ramsey, the welshman showed great composure to beat his marker and blast it into the net. Swansea pulled one back through Ben Davies but that was all she wrote as Arsenal and Ramsey continued their imperious form.

Stoke 0 – 1 Norwich

Stoke rarely lose at home. Norwich rarely win away. But the script never follows at times. Norwich bagged the only goal of the game with Howson taking aim from 20yards out to beat Begovic. Robert Huth could have done better to close him down and the home team could have felt aggrieved as there looked to be a foul in the build up to the goal.

The scoreline didn't change, instead it was Norwich who could have added more were it not for Begovic. Stoke suffered another loss and Mark Hughes will have little to cheer about as it was a less than inspiring performance.

Sunderland 1 – 3 Liverpool

Suarez made his return to the Liverpool starting XI while Sunderland started league life post Di Canio. It was Liverpool's other inform striker that got the goal as Sturridge used his arm/shoulder to put them ahead from a Gerrard corner. It was 2 as Sturridge toyed with his marker before feeding Suarez who made no mistake to score.

Sunderland pulled one back after the restart through Giaccherini after Mignolet could only parry a shot into his part. Suarez was to have the last say as he found the net again after being set up by Sturridge again. It was Liverpool's first goal in the 2nd half all season.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Is Manchester United A Champion With A Loser's Mentality? by Slyr0x: 11:22am On Sep 27, 2013
During the transfer window, a lot of eyes were casted on Old Trafford, everyone waiting for the Red Devils to make a marquee signing or two before deadline day. The truth is, never had so much attention been drawn to the reigning premier league champions during a window like the last one.

You ask yourself why? After all this is the same team that blew away all competitions in the league just back in May. If you are one of those who believe United's match to the title last season was down to the fact that most of their rivals were quite poor over the 8-month period, I will like to point out to you that this was the same team that ran Manchester City close the season before. In general, the present crop of Man-Utd players have either been champions or runners-up in the past three seasons.

So again I ask why? Why did United need to improve so bad? Why did they need to openly court players of other clubs? People complain about how poor the midfield is, but nothing has changed in-terms of midfield players in the last three seasons, so why is it so important now?

Well after watching United get thrashed by Manchester City today (Sunday), I finally got my answer, although all these players at United are winners, most of them are average, so the only logical conclusion is that, these average players are winners because somebody, somehow, made them believe in themselves; and that somebody is SIR ALEX FERGUSON.

A lot of you might see me as unfair for judging based on a single game, but I write this article with a deep sense of concern for the biggest football brand in England, and the second biggest in the world; Manchester United. So please follow me.

When Fergie chose David Moyes to succeed him, a lot of people were sceptical, myself included, but in my true nature, I opted to wait before passing my assessment on the 50-year-old Scot, and after six games (UCL included), I think I have seen enough to pass a fair judgement (if I can use that word).

David Moyes is a Loser!!! Losing is not all about not winning, NO! Losing is a state of mind.

Take Marcelo Bielsa for example, he never won anything in Europe, but why is he one the coaches Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola respects a lot? Same applies to Manuel Pellegrini, he is still to win any trophy in Europe, but he has Real Madrid and now Manchester City on his CV.

These managers might have not won anything, but they are winners because they set out to win. Athletic Bilbao played one of the most attractive football in Europe when Bielsa was in-charge (they even out-played Man-Utd in the 2012 Europa League quarter-final), so also did Madrid during Pellegrini's tenure. It was down to Barcelona's greatness during the former River Plate manager's time at Bernabeu, that prevented him from winning titles in Spain, as he ran them close all season.

What am I saying? It is simple, you are a winner when winning is the only thing you set out to do. Even if you fail, you still are a winner, because that mentality will never leave.

That is one skill SAF had; to make average players win because he was a winner, he obviously didn't always win, but he will make you believe that winning is possible.

In United's three big games so far this season, against Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City, David Moyes' initial thought was to avoid defeat. Even against Liverpool and Chelsea where little risk, tactical adventure might have done good, the manager chose to be conservative.

Who will blame him? Definitely not me, because you can't give what you don't have. At his former club Everton, gaining a point at home to Chelsea, losing by a single goal away at Liverpool, and being hammered away by Manchester City, would have been seen as a tremendous, and an okay result respectively.

His substitutions against City confirms it all, why he decided to bring in an average, not too attacking midfielder Thomas Cleverly, while he had a Kagawa and Nani on the bench when the team was 4-0 down, we will never know for now. But one thing it shouts is that the coach is scared to lose. We have seen United come back from 3 down to win against Spurs at Old Trafford in 2009, so locking up shop with 35 minutes left after City scored their fourth, is an indicator that Moyes does not have the stomach for the normal United comeback ability.

So how do you expect such a man to motivate a team to win? How do you expect a manager who for the past 11 years have been judged by surviving in the league to lead a bunch of average players (take away Rooney, RVP, Kagawa and De Gea) to the title?

Now you see why United fans payed more attention to the clubs dealings in this window than any other, because they are aware that a team need winners to succeed. So if you have a losing coach, you need winning players.

A winning mentality is like a talent, you are born with it,and it develops as you increase in life.

Although they are the champions of England, Manchester United lack that fire in their belly, that believe that all is possible, that Fergie thing, that Winning mentality, and that is unfortunately something Moyes cannot give because he does not have it.
