The party alleged that the PDP was working to fraudulently hijack power in the state by using fake soldiers and collaborate with the Independent National Electoral Commission to capture the state through dubious means. According to the APC chairman, the refusal of INEC to use electronic card readers for the Osun governorship poll was a plan to allow the PDP to manipulate the process of the election.

The letter read in part, “The President should order his party (PDP) to halt any plan to violently rig the August 9 governorship election through the undemocratic process of militarising the state and terrorising its citizens with thugs dressed in military camouflage shortly before, during and after the election.“It perhaps may interest Mr. President that top on the PDP hit list of party elders for assassination is Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the incumbent governor of Osun.” But the Publicity Secretary of the PDP in the state, Mr. Bola Ajao, described the allegations as unfounded.

Ajao said that the APC was already preparing an alibi for its impending defeat at the poll.He said, “This allegation is too pedestrian, it is fake and it is obvious that they are fabrications which they intend to put forward to justify their impending disgrace. “This is another ploy in their sinking ship diplomacy. The Presidency of Nigeria for Jonathan and the governorship of Osun State for (Senator Iyiola) Omisore is not worth the blood of any Nigerian.”

badoh: I'm neither a politician nor do I benefit financially frm the govt of the day. I'm even contributing to d coffers of the state govt cos I pay nothing less than 18k per month as personal income tax. However, frm all indications and putting sentiments apart, aregbesola deserves a second term. ‎​₪☺ govt is a saint but there are yardsticks we must use to measure the performance of any govt in power. (1) The rate of infrastructural development (2) The relative peace recorded by the govt (3) Employment generation (4) Reduction in poverty rate. Considering the 1st three indices, Aregbesola has recorded a landmark achievements. He was able to build state of the earth primary schools in all the local govts of Osun state, he employed almost 20,000 youths via d o-yes scheme though monthly take home may not be encouraging. He was able to employ substantial number of teachers thru d teaching service commission. All d local govts in Osun have not less than 3 newly tarred street roads each. In Osogbo alone, aregbesola has been able to open more routes to reduce traffic. He's working aggressively to complete the dualisation of gbongan- Osogbo road. Parts of the allegations levelled against Aregbe's govt is the late payment of salaries and delay in paying retirees gratuity. While I personally is not happy about such, he has been able to adjust and now pay proper attention to the welfare of the civil servant. Aregbesola may not be a saint JƱڪτ̲̅ like any other govt, but let us weight the pros and cons of re-electing him. I believe he has unfinished business and therefore should be given a second chance to complete d good work he has started.

As for Omisore's case the court didn't find him guilty and the modakeke ish If your town and another town is in war with each other and you are in a position to use your power and assist your town. Where is the money set aside for the stadium? Ask your paymaster Aregbe not Oyinlola. 2)Where are the 100,000 youth Aregbe employed and trained ? Cos I haven't been seeing them. 3) Where are the roads he expanded? After four years Aregbesola hasn't completed a single major road, all is projects are under construction. 4) Where are the 100s schools he constructed, the school he build isn't even up to 10. 5) Oyinlola started the meal per day with egg for primary school pupil, so that aint new. From all the things you listed the only thing that is true is the 10km road in each local government, it is even done with the local government allocation. Which brings the question where is the state allocation going to? Even the not upto 10 mega school he constructed was done with the universal basic education money.
