It is PPR!!! Guys it has been a journey but at last God has done it!

ITA-26th June
CRS score-493
NOC-0112
AOR; 18th August
VO-Ottawa
PPR-23rd december

Background;
I moved to Canada in 2008 with the intention to study, i was nearing the completion of my diploma, when i decided to speed things up by moving to the UK for studies instead, so i abandoned the diploma. After my degree and masters were completed, I headed home to Nigeria......In retrospect this wasn’t such a great idea but here we are...
Moved back and had to join the family business as per lack of JOB in the country.
I have always known about express entry but I wasn’t motivated to do it, don’t ask me ….
Anyways in 2017, I started dating my fiancé and he kept talking about it and urging me to apply since all my siblings lived there, I eventually succumbed in May 2018 and wrote the infamous IELTS, I was so sure that I was going to scale through, as English has always been my favourite subject in school and considering the amount of Essays I have had to hand in, in the course of my studies. Anyways British council had its own plans LSWR- 8.0, 7.5, 6.5, 8.5. I applied for a remark but while waiting for the outcome, I started my degree evaluation with WES, I evaluated both degrees and it was seamless, I got my evaluation in June/July 2018.

Before then, i got the outcome, the result remained unchanged, this shook my faith. Safe to say, I put a hold on the Canadian dream. My brother even had to send me some money to encourage me to rewrite the exams but I spent it grin

Fast forward to August 2018, i got my dream job, a very juicy offer with an international organisation this further pushed the canadian dream to the back burner. However, In January this year i got a new boss, who was out to frustrate me, that spurred me to kickstart the IELTS movement. I quickly registered for the exam in February with BC. My result came out and it was LSWR-8.5,8.5,7,6.5
I was sad but i quickly booked another one with BC for march my result was LSWR-8.0,7.5,6.5,8.5
I decided to cool it and think of another way forward. However, I dreamt one night, that I had applied for a remark and my score was changed; so the next day i went to pay for a remark. It was a huge disappointment as the result came back unchanged.

Hmmm, i began to doubt if this was for me. All the money and time/effort gone to waste. I decided to try one last time in May. This time i decided to use IDP. I only heard about them after my last IELTS attempt with BC. I decided to do things differently this time, i actually prepared for my writing, i spent days writing and rewriting essays. I listened to Jay from E2 language and followed every step.(P.s as at the time of this preparation i was recovering from a surgery)

On the day of my speaking i was on heavy painkillers, after the speaking i remembered saying to some of the staff there, that i might have flunked this one, as i was slow to answer the questions and i felt i didn't make use of a wide range of vocabularies. Anyhoo, on the day of the other modules, i was still semi-drugged. I decided to do something, i had never done before in my previous exams, i took 5 mins to use the rest room after the reading module, i came back to look through and realised some errors which i promptly corrected. I didn't dive into the essay writing, i took some minutes to draft my essay and my letter. My results came out in June, that day i was in a training, my fiance sent me a screenshot of my result; LSWR-8.0,8.0,7.5,9.0, I was numb, i couldn't even react and this became the game changer

ITA to PPR:
I got my ITA in June but i had to travel because of work, so i was out of town for the most part in July and some of August. Before i travelled, i did my medicals with IOM; i was not feeling well that day and it almost messed up my test, long story short i had one of the nurses promise to call me if there was any issues with my test result. Thankfully, she called to say everything was okay.

PCC; I did my Nigerian police clearance that same day and had my friend pick it up for me, when it was ready.
My UK PCC was pretty straightforward, i requested it to be sent to me in Nigeria, i was happy that it arrived in time.

POE;My reference letters were pretty easy as well, i however did not submit my payslips, i just submitted my employment letter and my reference letter.

POF;I got my POF from my dad, i uploaded the transfer receipt, my 6 months bank statement for only two of my accounts, I did a deed of gift and an affidavit to support my POF. I could only get letter of indebtedness from one of the banks, so i uploaded that.

During the wait my parents got their Permanent residence through the sponsorship route......That made me become more worried, as i did not want them leaving without me.

Anyways, Last night, i woke up around 1am cos the light went off. Immediately i picked up my phone, i saw that the golden mail from ottawa had been sitting in my mailbox since 11pm. I just took a screenshot and sent it to all my siblings.

Looking back, there were lots of errors in my application, all my documents had different contact address, i didnt write any LOE to explain this, no payslips, my FD ran out and was reinvested but i did not update CIC with the new investment certificate, and so on...............

Im thankful to God for this journey, it taught me perseverance. I am really grateful for my family, they each took time to stand in the gap for this, my fiance was my support throughout this process, i cant even say all he did, infact he scanned and uploaded all my documents singlehandedly.
The various indian whatsapp groups i joined, helped me to keep busy during the wait and our dear nairaland was also very helpful during my wait period
I wish everyone speedy processing!! cool

My fiance and i both decided to pursue PPR individually. I got ITA in June with 493, he didn't because of IELTS anyways he rewrote his IELTS in September and maxed out his points.
He then updated his profile after the first draw this month, & he was on 476, we were hoping for a draw on the 16th however, that didn't happen.
Then to make matters worse, he turned a year older this month and is down to 473 angry angry angry sad

Hopefully, the next draw favors us, if not we just get married oo & raise CSE

Same here. I had my biometrics in 2017 for a visiting visa that is still valid, however, i still had to pay & do another biometrics.

raylady:
I just submitted my application and have just received AOR. I have a question though, i currently have a valid biometrics (I had one done in April 2019) as i currently have a valid canadian visitor's visa. I included the Unique Client Number from my current visa, but I was still charged the biometrics fee. Anyone with a similar experience and would I still have to do another biometrics
