Don't even pray to be in those situations my brother. It can kill a man.
The law may seem to be balanced for both sides, but wisdom is key

liberalchick:

Nice of you to give an update.

This is for the Nigerian men that have deluded themselves with the lie “the law favor women”.

FYI for the bolded, the law as is doesn’t care about gender. You do the crime, you do the time.
Family / Re: Wife Trying To Ruin My Career Within A Few Months Of Arriving Abroad by Socialproject: 2:29pm On May 23, 2020
God will help you my brother
Some Nigerian women are terrible.

Based on stats, men who relocate abroad with their wives end up traumatic , because the women grow wilder and the laws of those lands favour the women.

My Ex Boss is going through his second divorce now. He is known in the Information Technology and banking sector, so not poor by any means.

The first wife, he relocated to the UK , after divorce took ownership of their home , which he bought. Very sad. This was 2013
Now his second wife , which he relocated to Canada is doing the same thing . The problems started 2018.
The day I met him he was sober and called me by my first name, "don't make the mistake of relocating your wife, except you are sure". cry

If you see this my Boss's hair, it became like that of Globetrotters. Baba forgot to cut is hair oh.. I felt pity for him

There is something toxic about those lands, especially when you know your spouse has a toxic tendency.

Another, a good friend of mine who used to work for for one of the American OEM/IT companies moved to Canada in 2016.
Recently I heard from his brother , how the wife has become a thorn in his flesh and made him sleep outside the apartment. This after threatening to call 911. They are now divorce.

My wife has that bossy tendency, and I told myself If I have to live long for my children , I am not going to take any risks at all.

Anni3e:
Hi, I have been married for 9 years now, the problem I have with my husband is that his family members keep sucking him dry and the way he neglects us his immediate family.

He is the first child of 7 children, his siblings even the married ladies keep asking him for money. He keeps spending money on them and their husbands. His brothers keep crying they are broke, they keep leeching off him.

His two junior brothers that always ask him for money, one of them built a house in Port Harcourt and the other one built a big house in the village. Still they won't let him rest.

His married sisters are the worst. If they cough they would call him to send money, every minor thing they would expect money. Just this evening his sister called him to ask for money. We don't have a house of our own, I keep telling my husband to stop giving in to all their demands and invest the money on something, he would say I am turning him against his family.

We have 2 kids and I have told him we need to start saving for their future, I pay the electricity bill, foodstuffs, and most times the children school fees, he pays the house rent and rarely keeps money for home upkeep, he sometimes drops two thousand and that's it for the whole week. He always complains he has no more, but once his family calls him he sends money immediately.

I have saved enough to buy a land and I am not planning to include his name in the property. I don't know what to deal with, his family entitlement mentality or the way he neglects the kids and I and treat us like outsiders.

I am really pissed off and tired.

Sorry for the long post.

Celebrities / Re: Sammie Okposo: How God Saved Me From Accident On 3rd Mainland Bridge by Socialproject: 3:51pm On May 17, 2020
The car must have had some body vibrations, or strange noise that he refused to attend to. Typical Nigerian

On very rare occasions do propeller drive shafts just pop out or loosen on their own. Are we sure he didn't work on it recently? and the Kazeem didn't torque the bolts correctly.

So I used to drive a Lexus an 07 RX350 AWD, which had propeller shaft replaced due to a vibration from a bad coupling.
After the installation of the new one, the mechanic didn't put in two bolt to the one that connects to the transfer case, and had the other two not torqued at all.

The next day being Saturday, I drove to a shop nearby for a wheel alignment. Immediately the technician went underneath the car ,he screamed Oga come see ooo .

My heart almost fell off my mouth, because I know the consequences, it will be very catastrophic. Imagine cruising to the Island on this same third mainland bridge say 5.30am on a Monday morning, because I detest traffic.

This was a mechanic I so trusted. His excuse was that he wanted to use the toilet and asked an apprentice to fix the bolts shocked.

In whatever circumstances, we must give God thanks for his divine mercies.

There is no atom of ignorance in your comments.
You are on point cool
Ayisatojo:
Hello Bishop Oyedepo, my apologies if you or any member of your church find this offensive, it is my own opinion from my ignorant mind so to speak.

You can pray at home to God. God is omnipresent, wherever you call on HIM, He can hear. You don’t need to go to Ota before you can speak directly to God. There is no alternative to where you can buy or sell. Traders need to sell some of the perishable goods otherwise, their stocks will perish. Buyers also need to restock otherwise they will die of hunger. Bishop Oyedepo should understand this.

Whatever message he needs to preach, there are several alternative channels to getting the message across to your parishioners and the world at large, as a matter of fact, you are able to reach out to several millions than those that will come to Ota or any of your cells. It could be through telecast, digital channels or through social media Platforms as most of the church leaders are doing today. What is Bishop Oyedepo’s alternative to food? It is time to reappraise messages from these pastors especially when they say “I hear God expressly spoke to me that .......” are they the only one God is speaking to?

God is not interested in the church buildings, He is more concerned about the salvation of individual soul that are likely to perish because the message didn’t get to them. Leave Ota and go to the isolation centres and lay hands upon the sick, they need you more there than in the auditorium at Ota at this present time!

ibkayee:

Market (key service) to buy essentials vs church to do things you can probably do at home. Not everything can be shut but I think it's about weighing necessities

And for some reason, I don't think a lot of these pastors protesting the shutdown of churches are as concerned about their congregations missing out on the word as they're making out, there are alternatives to accessing 'church'

So my my observations are true , in the sense that Nigerians or Africans tend to more emotional on the subject of the church, including myself....but I always try to find some logic around it so i am not fully cocooned.

On the basis of what works for all, let's focus or analyze which of them matters in this pandemic.

Its agreed that survival is now everyone's goal, staying alive.

Well the six hours stipulated by the govt for markets to operate, people can choose a favorable time to go market to avoid over crowding.

People who earn daily income, low income earners are vast majority of people you find in the market.

How many poor people can shop online,or even have access to internet services.
You cannot buy perishable items online. Can the poor who are vast majority buy 200naira worth of garri online?

Now for the churches, leveraging on technology can helpful, like live streaming services E.t.c.

I am no pastor, but are we no longer walking in the spirit, and not in flesh, then what are we saying. Or don't we believe our prayers can be heard ,except we are in church complexes?

God remains the omniscience, the best scientist and technologist. Man' wisdom and ideas that led to these tools or inventions came from God almighty.

For remittances such as offerings and tithes, online banking can be utilized.

I know some people will miss showcasing new apparels, dress, designer shoes, cars ,handshakes, hugging, pecking ,in Church grin

Its food to the stomach and survival my people...oooo

These are my PoVs.
Remain blessed .... stay safe. It will surely pass.

My brother, I can bet those kids are what is holding you back at this point, you would have walked away.
No kid deserves a broken home.

A regards your wife, she does not love you. This is the gospel truth.
Something must melt a womans heart, do you know ? has she any ?

.......................the quest to be called Mrs was the driving force for her getting married to you.

As per advice on way forward. You need to find ways to stay alive for yourself and your children. She is a risk factor

noakchukibadan:
Hello,

Please no ethnic banters. One of us is from Ekiti, and the other is from Benue. I am married for 8 years with 2 kids. It has been one problem to another.

I must be very frank, before marriage, my wife had many very questionable characters, but unfortunately we did the marriage counseling in a church were the pastor happened to be her family member. Many of the issues would have been resolved, but when I raised those issues about her character the pastor promised me that everything will be fine after the marriage.
Although this is not an excuse, but looking back now I would have been more patient and taken my decision myself instead of rushing into the marriage. For this I HOLD MYSELF ACCOUNTABLE

There is hardly nothing we do not quarrel about, I have always been the one to initiate settlement. The only way I ensure that there is peace in the house is for me not to complain about anything. Even at that, there is always trouble. If the children do anything wrong, she always says those characters the children are exhibiting are not from her and that she is not surprised that they inherited such characters from me.

She can go for months without talking to me, even if I tried to, I have done all I could do, I have begged, cried prayed. I just feel tired and exhausted from trying to make the marriage work or have peace in the home, the sad part is that she often reminds me every time there is misunderstanding that I should remember that she can stay on her own without talking to any body. Just to add, she is very prayerful.

OTHER INFORMATION.
1. I can say conveniently that there is no money problem at home. Finance is okay.
2. I went to see her father 2 years ago, the man said unfortunately he can not do anything. This is true because she was raised away from her Father, she has no contact with any of her fathers family and her father has a zero say in her life.
3. she has 5 elders ones, non of them is in communication with her because of many unresolved issues. Of her 3 younger ones she only maintains a relationship with the last boy who is just 14 years. .
4. Her mum can not talk to her because she simply dares not. However, behind, her mother use to beg me and she kept saying she understands her daughter's character and that she is doing her best by praying and doing deliverance for her.
5. She is not in contact with her maternal uncles and aunt because she said they supported her elder ones when she had problem with them.

So I am stuck with no one to help call the both of us and resolve the issue.

Every year for 5 straight years, she always forgets my birthday, last year, she forgot also, three days later, she bought me a present and I refused to collect the present and I asked her why does she keep forgetting my birthday, year after year for 5 years. She just said sorry, but I left the present in the room, she never bothered to bring the present to me. Another birthday was gone yesterday 2nd May, and as I write, no happy birthday yet.

I literally cook for myself, and all domestic things I do for myself.

I will end this by saying that in fairness to her, her character was not too different before the marriage and courtship, sincerely only once, that was like one year before the marriage I broke up with her, she came to apologize and promised that she will change. Her mother also came to apologize to me also.

This woman has refused to change or allow peace to hold sway, she is right every time, while everybody around is wrong. Sincerely, I do not know what to do anymore.

I am tired and exhausted. I do not know what to do anymore. I am 42, I was diagnosed of high blood pressure 2 years ago.

I am always sad when people start to attack sellers, who have rights to fix prices of cars they wish to sell.
like@ Nonnyautoconnec said, this is an upscale from the M serie most people are acquainted to.

Stop all the insults, make your price know, if seller says no... the you walk away.
Funny enough I just said same thing on another thread. Its like this is becoming a norm on this Auto forum. People talk with a lot of pain and hatred on their minds. This is not good at all.

At last and better still, the market demand will determine the price at which the seller will give away.

Peace to all

Health / Re: I Fall Sick Whenever My Hair Grows, What Could Be The Cause? by Socialproject: 3:47am On Apr 16, 2020
TalkTalkTwins:
Hello guys,

Good day everyone!

I just have a little problem, though it is not a problem except that I like my hair grown... haha!
Okay, whenever I let my hair grow to a particular stage, I fall sick. I mean, seriously sick that I can't stand up or walk.

I noticed it first in my 100L in school, since that was the first time I was opportune to let my hair grow so well. The sickness came midnight, and in the morning I rushed to get a cut and got fine without any medication.

The second time, I was in 200L. I got sick and called my mum to tell her I was going to return home for treatment, my hair was grown and I knew she'd complain about it and visited the barber first.

When I reached home same day, no medications, no treatments at all, I became very fine.

In my third year again, I let my hair grow. It was giving me signs that I'd soon get sick, and I ignored it. It came again midnight, and I couldn't sleep. Fever, headaches, stomach pains, legs were aching and I could barely see.

In the morning I rushed to the barber's shop, as early as 6 o'clock. I didn't even let him carve my hair... haha!

He just barbed me, I rushed home and fell on my bed. I didn't lock the doors, no bathing, nothing.
When I woke up, the sickness was mysteriously gone.

Now I'm confused because this is so abnormal.
I have only heard of people who had dreadlocks, and would get sick whenever they barb them. Why is my own so different? Worst surprise, I'm an identical twin but it doesn't happen to my brother.

Has anyone else had or heard of a similar case? What could be the solution? I have made tons of Google searches and yet no reasonable help at all.

I asked some people and they were telling me to ask my parents. my biological parents are no more around and I don't even know who else to ask...Lol
OP.....so you are Delilah incarnated in a Male's body? shocked You are suffering from what you did to Samson!!!! grin
I know hair takes a lot of protein from body cells. What is your protein intake like?
Hope you find a solution..

Nice car ...but the way Nigerians price cars especially with the words like "I will pay cash now " like the seller has no option is very annoying. Or maybe playing on your psych to sell for less.

I remember in March this year when I advertised my four years old 2007 Lexus RX350 for 2.5m , I was getting ridiculous offers like ... I will pay 1.7m cash !!!, I will pay 1.9m cash!!.

I later sold for 2.3m, after turning down almost fifteen offers for 1.9m, ten offers for 2.1m.

All with I will pay cash now now cheesy.
I told them I was not hungry and was willing to keep the car longer until the right buyer offers me the asking price cheesy
