Education / Re: What Is The Difference Between A Bsc(ed) In Electrical Technology And Bsc In Electrical Engineering by softelng(m): 2:23pm On Feb 15, 2012 |
Businesstools: @ihejirika you can only consult or be addressed as an engineer when you register with a professional body i.e COREN being an NSE member only doesnt guarantee you that status unless a regulatory body like COREN registers you. @poster you need a bachelor in the Engineering faculty to qualify to practise as an engineer. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: NLC / TUC Commence Strike January 9, 2012. by softelng(m): 1:11pm On Jan 04, 2012 |
Protests, Strikes and mass actions are very good and advisable by my own perception but peeps come to think of it. . NLC etc have not really helped matters throughout these years what they do is they threaten the FG then they negotiate behind closed doors and everybody shut-up thats all we dont need this anymore. our problem in Nigeria is more than strikes negotiations and shutting up our problems are endemic. We need to press the reset button and reboot |
Politics / Re: Stop Moaning... Petrol Is 326.21 Naira a litre in the UK! by softelng(m): 8:17pm On Jan 02, 2012 |
In Nigeria you should think yourself lucky, the price of fuel in most other countries on the planet is already double that of Nigeria even with the increase!!! @Poster your point is noted but i leave you to ponder on something: Check the transport sys in UK and compare to that in Nigeria. 75% of Nigeria economy is directly or indirectly related to PMS. If the level of Infrastructure in UK is on par with what we have in Nigeria who cares about the price of petrol. |
Career / Re: Which Profession Do You Think Has Been Failing In Its Role In Nigeria? by softelng(m): 2:37pm On Dec 22, 2011 |
i believe, america, japan, india, isreal, iraq and other countries doin better than nigeria (with all the natural) owe their development to its govt, but mainly its people, that are determined.their scientist, engineers, programmers, economist and other professional bodies in those countries played a major role. In Nigeria,i think some professions has tried even when d govt has nt been up nd doing, like the medical professionals, the musicians, the pry school teachers and the farmers, these people are doing their jobs.but i think the prefession that have failed most is the Nigerian ENGINEERS.they are not being felt anywhere.if am not correct.give your opinion nd reason I think over reliance on foreign expertise is the cause of this problem. expatriate this expatriate that blah blah blah. |

NEPOTISM that is the only problem i see i dont think we have a list of problems. Nepotism= Favoritism shown to relatives or close friends by those in power (as by giving them jobs) EOS |

The company said it will retain Multi-Links fibre network and fixed-line units in Nigeria. Politics / Re: Breaking News: Entire NASS Election Postponed Till Monday April 4 - Jega by softelng(m): 4:30pm On Apr 02, 2011 |
My only take is that dont INEC have strategies unit who would have envisaged this issue we are facing today for INEC to force a postponement on us. Nigerians there is no going back we are bound to have a free and fair elections this year either we like it or not. I was watching channels in the morning and one guy called to complain about the accrediation process where some duly registered names were missing from the register. this is what i called soft rigging because INEC has no excuse for missing my name on the register when i have a card to prove my registration. |
