Sports / Slot: Salah Has No Plan To Leave Liverpool by solbase10(m): 11:34am |
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has reiterated that Mohamed Salah has no plan to leave Anfield any time soon. He stated this while reacting to a comment made by the Egyptian international via his social media handle. The Dutch tactician said that a few of Salah’s comments have been misinterpreted by the media and noted that he has no intention of leaving the club. “Then I should have spoken to him about what he said if that was a reference—or yes, or no. But I haven’t spoken about him; we’ve spoken about Leverkusen because that team deserves all of our attention for the quality they have. “So, no. He is out of contract at the end of the season, and Virgil (van Dijk) said something in the press, and now he (Salah) has a post that you interpreted in a certain way. “This will probably continue for as long as their futures are not clear yet. But in the meantime, let’s hope that they bring in performances like Mo had and Virgil had as well during the weekend.” Read Also:https://www.completesports.com/slot-salah-has-no-plan-to-leave-liverpool/

Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are weighing up a potential January move for Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell. According to TEAMtalk Dortmund have drawn up a shortlist of left-back targets for the January window and Chilwell is one potential option. Dortmund were offered the chance to sign Chilwell over the summer but turned down the opportunity. Dortmund have sent scouts to watch Kerkez in action this season and he has been in fine form for the Cherries, who currently sit 11th in the Premier League table. They will have to battle with Liverpool and potentially Chelsea too if they do make a move for the 20-year-old Hungarian international. Sports / Arsenal Plotting Move For Brentford Forward by solbase10(m): 1:45pm On Oct 22 |
Arsenal are plotting a move to sign Brentford Cameroon star Bryan Mbeumo after his impressive start to the season. This comes shortly after recruitment expert Mick Brown told Football Insider that the Gunners want to strengthen their right-wing position in the transfer window. The 25-year-old has scored six goals in his first eight league games so far this season, inspiring interest from some of the country’s top clubs including Arsenal. Those goals have placed him second only to Erling Haaland on the goalscoring charts early in the season, and there is a belief he would be able to rocket to the next level in a better side. His versatility is seen as a key factor by Arsenal’s recruitment team as he can provide cover on the wing, up front, or as a second striker behind the number nine. Liverpool were also heavily linked to the Cameroon international in the summer, and Football Insiderrevealed that a fee of £40million would have been enough to secure a deal. Arsenal’s pursuit of a new winger was accelerated following Bukayo Saka’s injury blow on international duty which sidelined him for the 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth. The club have grown concerned about the kicks and knocks their star is picking up during games given the lack of quality strength in depth behind him in their squad. Sports / Arteta Must Prioritize Winning Premier League Title –petit by solbase10(m): 1:23pm On Oct 15 |
Arsenal hero Emmanuel Petit has urged manager Mikel Arteta to prioritize winning the Premier League title over other titles this season. Recall that Arsenal have been in a position of winning the EPL title twice before being denied the title by Manchester City. Speaking with football London, Petit noted that Arteta must win trophies. “It’s important if you want to keep the same ambitions, if you want the players to follow you every single game, you need to win something at the end of the season. “If you asked this question to Arteta, he would tell you the same answer. Football, what is it? It’s winning games, winning titles. And at the moment, after two, three, three years of amazing work, you need to win something. “If I am a player at Arsenal and I’ve been playing for years over there and I saw the improvements of the team, as well individually, but at the end we never win anything… “They won an FA Cup, but they need to reach more important targets; Premier League or Champions League. I’m not sure that the Champions League is the right season. But for the Premier League, I think they have something to say about it, definitely.” Read Also:https://www.completesports.com/arteta-must-prioritize-winning-premier-league-title-petit/

Sports / Man United Lining Up £58m For PSG Forward by solbase10(m): 10:24am On Oct 10 |
Manchester United are reportedly lining up a £58.6 million offer for Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani. The 25-year-old was heavily linked with a switch to United in the summer of 2023 following an impressive season for Eintracht Frankfurt. But the Premier League giants instead focused their attentions on Rasmus Hojlund. PSG ultimately signed Kolo Muani from Frankfurt, but a difficult first campaign in the French capital saw the forward only manage nine goals in 40 appearances. He has netted twice in nine appearances for Luis Enrique’s side this term, but he has not found the back of the net since the Ligue 1 clash with Lille on September 1. Kolo Muani has a contract in Paris until June 2028, but there is uncertainty surrounding his future, and according to Fichajes, (via SportsMole) United are ready to reignite their interest. According to the report the striker is said to be open to the challenge of playing in the Premier League. PSG are also believed to be open to letting him leave for the right price, as a return of 11 goals in 49 appearances for the club in all competitions has been disappointing considering his form at Frankfurt, where he managed 26 goals and 17 assists in 50 appearances. Kolo Muani was substituted at the interval of PSG’s Ligue 1 clash with Nice last weekend, but he is in the France squad for their October internationals despite his recent disappointing form. Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho are United’s joint-leading goalscorers this season, with the pair both finding the back of the net on four occasions in 11 appearances in all competitions. Former Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi has denied calling Nicolas Jackson a “bad player”, reports Completesports.com. Mikel criticised the Senegal international after the Blues 2-0 defeat to champions Manchester City last month. We created chances but didn’t take them. Jackson’s finishing is a in loopprime example. Even though he was offside, you could see how he dribbled past one, two, three players and the way he struck the ball!’ ‘You need a striker who knows how to put the ball in the back of the net, and that’s what we’re lacking. I know I talk a lot about him, and it might sound like I’m being disrespectful, but I’m not. At Chelsea, we need a top striker who can score goals—a bit like Haaland, who has scored 91 goals for City. That’s absolutely unbelievable.” Jackson responded by telling Mikel “to shut up” after scoring in the West London club 7-2 rout of Southampton the following week. Sports / Labbadia Right Man To Lead Super Eagles — Akpoborie by solbase10(m): 11:48am On Aug 28 |
Former international Johnathan Akpoborie has lauded the appointment of Bruno Labbadia as new head coach of the Super Eagles. Labbadia’s appointment was confirmed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Tuesday. The German takes over from Finidi George, who left the post in June. Akpoborie insisted that the NFF made the right choice. “Bruno was a prolific striker; we were adversaries in the Bundesliga. He played for many big clubs in Germany and is a very good player and a well-known coach there,” Akpoborie told Brila.net. “Appointing him as the Super Eagles coach is an upgrade compared to the names that have handled the team in the past.” The former striker also said Labbadia is capable of bringing out the best in the players. “We were just hoping now, because football, you never can tell. But all those things apart, they’ve picked somebody that is capable of actually handling our national team for a very long time,” he added. “This is somebody that can handle our national team, and I’m hoping that the chemistry between him and the players will come together, and we’ll see good football from Nigeria.” Read Also:https://www.completesports.com/labbadia-right-man-to-lead-super-eagles-akpoborie/ 1 Like 1 Share
