Politics / Imo State Supplementary Election Latest: Ohakim In Early Lead by solotuonye: 3:22pm On May 06, 2011 |
Reports from various polling booths in the four LGAs (Ngor Okpalla, Mbaitoli, Ohaji – Egbema and Oguta) and one ward (Orji in Owerri North LGA) in Imo State, where the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) is conducting “Supplementary Elections” today, show that the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), incumbent Governor of Imo State, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim is leading his opponent, Chief Rochas Okorocha of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA). In Oguta, Ohaji Egbema and Ngor Okpalla, PDP is said to be speedily garnering more votes than APGA. In Mbaitoli where voter preference has shifted substantially from APGA to PDP apparently in realization of the ploy by APGA to disrupt the zoning arrangement in the state to the disadvantage of Owerri zone, thugs said to be supporters of APGA have resorted to snatching of ballot boxes. One Kemdi Opara of APGA reportedly came with thugs, snatched and carted away the ballot box in Polling Unit Numbers K2, K5 and K7 Umuchoke. Bus loads of APGA thugs were on rampage from Booth to Booth in Ezinihitte ward, Mbaitoli LGA. In Booth J10, Amankuta, Amike ward, APGA thugs backed by men in military uniforms tried to snatch the ballot but were resisted by youths in the area. It is not clear why the snatching of ballot boxes is taking place even with the high presence of security men in the state. http://www.imostate.gov.ng/news/862

@solotuonye, We were misinformed at first, but we have found the real truth about Ohakim. Unfortunately, not many people have seen what we saw, hence the slow support rate. My job is to enlighten everybody, and with time, everybody will come around and know Rochas is a scam! |

Politics / Rochas Asks Supporters To Boycott Today's Supplementary Elections In Imo by solotuonye: 9:31am On May 06, 2011 |
According to latest reports reaching our desk, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) guber candidate, Chief Rochas Okorocha, has instructed all his supporters in the four affected LGAs and Orji ward to boycott today’s supplementary elections in Imo State. The statement, personally signed by Chief Rochas Okorocha, reads: Great Imo people, it is important I explain my recent decision to drag INEC to court over the Imo governorship race. After due consultations with our campaign staff, stakeholders and legal team, we arrived at a conclusion that today’s supplementary election is illegal. I have filed a suit at the Federal High Court, Abuja which you are all aware of. APGA and my humble self are not participating in any supplementary election. We stand firm on the April 26th guber election outcome and urge INEC to announce the results. I urge all my supporters to boycott today’s election and remain focused on our quest to reclaim our mandate. I will be addressing a World press conference by 10am today at sam Mbakwe Hall, Imo Concord hotel on same issue. Thanks for your support. Anayo Rochas Okorocha (Imo APGA guber candidate). The report urged all APGA supporters to stay tuned for further directives and disregard any call from unauthorized sources, government officials or any news media, asking them to come out for today’s poll, as updates on the issue will be communicated through credible party channels. Chief Rochas Anayo Okorocha, who contested for the guber elections in Imo State on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), is claiming victory at the April 26th guber elections held in Imo state, which was declared inconclusive by the Independent National Electoral Commission returning officer in Imo State. http://www.imostate.gov.ng/news/861 |

His excellency, Chief Dr. Ikedi Godson Ohakim needs your prayers and your help in tomorrow's election. It is time to take Imo to the next level. Say capital NO to detractors and blackmailers. Caution those smearing the Governor's image and teach those who are yet ignorant. Please don't be violent and remain cultured like a good representative of our governor and our dear state, Imo. God bless you all as we do more for our state Imo and our Country, Nigeria. |

Politics / Tell Rochas To Be Reasonable For Once If He Truely Loves Imo! by solotuonye: 9:55am On May 05, 2011 |
When war was declared in Europe in 1914, people trooped out to rejoice, not fully comprehending the implication. By 1918, 20million people were dead and Europe destroyed! People are jumping up and down with what Rochas is doing. They are oblivious of the fact that Imo is heading towards a political turmoil. Everybody agreed to a supplementary election and even INEC did his bidding by changing RECs, So what is he afraid of Let him help resolve this impasse by going to the polls on friday if he truly loves Imo. Please spread this message, Imo shouldn't be a laughing stock in Nigeria!!! Non-Imolites are already writing articles mocking people of Imo and we caused it by cursing and insulting the seat of power. We shouldnt make ourselves fools because we are washing our dirty linen in publin in the name of politics. Let Rochas who calims he is a democrat help resolve and avoid the looming crisis by coming to the polls. His promises of free education cannot win election in any civilized world. We should all see the hand writing on the wall each time. Even Our lord Jesus hesitated at some point to die on the cross for man kind, not to talk of Rochas pretending to be ready to die for the sake of Imolites, We should all shine our eyes because the Kind of cross our Lord Jesus died is not the same type Rochas want to die, We all know this but propaganda is not allowing imolite know the truth! |

thank u, rochas looted and gave to masse, but ohakim looted and kept to himself. You can open your mouth and say whatever you like. Rochas Okorocha was expelled from Unijos for certificate forgery. He was disqualified by INEC in 1999 for certificate forgery. His running mate Jude Agbaso, jumped bail in 1995 in the United States and is today a wanted man. Rochas was sacked as (NAMA) chairman, just one month into his appointment for embezzling N150m within a short time. His friends say he is fraudulent with FORD corp. in his dealings with Rochas foundation. Obasanjo who he worked under said he cannot be trusted, Who da hell doesnt have a past Why are you hell bent on destroying people's imgae?? Should we come and investigate you the writer Are you sure yo uhave not duped some white people before How did you know Ohakim's office so well and what he was doing if you were not doing the same thing? Guys, we are not stupid. People do have a past but then people change. When you talk about the past of Rochas, poeple say that was then, so Ohakim does not deserve "That was then?" Pls get something else doing, |

@iudoagwu, Solotuonye & Company, Nobody is forcing anybody on you. We are to remind all Imolites that a group of miscreants took their time over the years to tarnish Ohakim's image and make him appear like a devil. This of course affected people's view of the Governor, this is quite unfortunate because a few people's greed will bring Imo state crawling and they have succeeded in getting to imolites with cheap promises and they people are buying them, |

Desperate times for Ohakim as he fears his tenure comes to an end. Let him who is without sin be the first to cast a stone at Ohakim! So Rochas is a saint abi Why was he kicked out of NAMA after just 1 month in Office Answer: He looted N150m by over inflating contracts, just 1 month! What could have happened in just 1 yr You guys are playing with fire, keep deceiving yourselves, Someone told me yesterday that Rochas will give free education up to univeristy level, keep deceiving yourselves! You guys are going to see what you are asking for soon. Free education is what you will eat from morning till night till you get tired. He will even give free education up till Ph.D level!!! Nonsense |
Politics / Re: Desperate Ohakim Pays Surprise Visit To Araraume by solotuonye: 3:14pm On May 04, 2011 |
You are absolutely out of your mind with your blind allegiance to Ohakim, With 27 PDP LGA chairmen, all PDP state assembly members, all the money in the Imo state Bank account, all the federal support from Jonathan, all the PDP rigging machines and OHAKIM cld nt beat/rig the votes in his favour, What does that show you? In a free an fair elections he wld nt have won a single LGA, what ever he got was through rigging, I am an Imo state son and i know what am saying, Never in the history of Imo state has a governor been hated this way, One thing is certain, you are biased. Either you open your eyes and figure out that they are pulling a wool over your eyes and know Rochas for who he really is or you will still be the one to suffer when he wrecks havoc on the state. How could someone look so saintly and the other one so evil, c'mon, it was all staged by haters. Its a calculated attempt! |
Politics / Re: Desperate Ohakim Pays Surprise Visit To Araraume by solotuonye: 2:36pm On May 04, 2011 |
Hmmmm. Interesting argument but it raises questions that have not really been answered in this country. Should the zoning agreement (a PDP thing mostly) be held even when the current holder of office is under-performing? Some will say that he has had his four years and little to show for it so let him go. Well, at least if we dont vote zoning, we vote for completion of ongoing projects. If they get abandoned, we'll still be the ones to lose |

Clap! Clap! Clap! All hail the campaign manager! @Poster just for posting this rubbish online, you' ve just shown what an you are! Do u think that campaigning for Ohakim on Naira land will help matters? Wherever you take your campaign to, there will be sensible Imo people to counter it. Sensible Imo people like Citizen Samuelson Iwuoha are everywhere on the net waiting for thieves like you to rear their ugly head up. Everybody know that Ohakim is a devil! The guy is has no vision. What has renaming Imo state University has to do with the development of the school. Changing the name of a product does not rebrand a product. Who is this so called Evans Enwerem? This is one of the insults we get from visionless men. I am going to organise a Guber poll on Naira land between Ohakim and Rochas. Feel free to come and vote! So we should ssume anybody that speaks for rochas here is his campaign manager abi? Why are you guys intolerant? This is simply a place for intellectuals, |

Ararume are you ready to dance with the 'devil'? Grin Who is the devil? What made him the devil? Do you even know who the devil is or are you joining others to speak without using your senses? Ararume did the honorable thing jare, |
Politics / Re: Desperate Ohakim Pays Surprise Visit To Araraume by solotuonye: 12:44pm On May 04, 2011 |
ONE thing certain about the Nigerian politics is its uncertainty. This remark however synchronizes with the axiom that there is no permanent enemy in politics but permanent interest. So this is all to make people come here and insult our governor again abi? dont you guys get tired Ararume did the honorable thing and so should Rochas and not to cry wolf before election results are released or even held. If Rochas knows he's going to lose, rather than tell people to resort to violence, he can help Imo people by going before its too late to join hands with Ohakim. Remember that the Army are everywhere to protect and we do not want him to start saying he's victimized. The chance is now because Imo people want peace! |
Politics / Re: Imo State Guber: Rochas Okorocha Has Won! by solotuonye: 12:12pm On May 04, 2011 |
Na who dey talk about unfinished job?,wey dis extra 4yrs is when all governors will pack the whole money to go.Some fools are talking about 10,000 jobs that it is a good thing while in the real sense of it ohakim used it for politics not to help the jobless cause he was afraid that rochas is coming out.If not for the fact that rochas was coming out for governorship, ohakim wouldn't have given youths the job,the main aim of that job is for the 10000 youths and their families to vote for him during election. If Ohakim come to that seat again IMO this time will be like the old ghananians He gives job and you say its politics, He doesnt give and you say he's done nothing. Why dont you just accept its just a personal stuff and not that Ohakim has not done anything we know the truth so dont bother trying to divert our attention here, |
Politics / Re: Imo State Guber: Rochas Okorocha Has Won! by solotuonye: 12:09pm On May 04, 2011 |
Enough of these rubbish from these ohakim boys, you are paid to come here and beatify your 419 master, I can see hatred and not reason. I can see prejudice and not justice. It is written all over your comment. You are speaking with your own voice and not the voice of God. If God choses Ohakim, who are you to counter? |
