What would he have done
lereinter:

Why do you refer to him as scammer?

Everything points to an unserious buyer, maybe he has gotten another bargain and he was reluctant to tell you

And you too, you are a novice in selling online

So u feel making the seller pay waybill fare to and fro Enugu when he wasn't serious, is not scam enough. If the buyer had changed his mind, courtesy demands that he inform the seller to avoid waste of resources/time
michlins:
There has been no sc detected by your write up. If this guy should sue you for defamation of character especially with the fact you brought his phone number to a public forum, you will never survive it.

Say you're in desperate need of money and he played on your desperation and wasted your time and energy, that doesn't him a scammer.

Politics / Re: President Buhari Is One Of The Major Recipients Of Dasuki Money - Reno Omokri by soloxxng: 10:55pm On Mar 31, 2018
duni04:

I will choose the APC a million times over the PDP. Reno Omokri is more concerned with the academic credentials of Kemi Adeosun than what she has been able to achieve as finance minister. She spearheaded Nigeria's exit from recession. For the first time in our history, we actually know what the government earns thanks to the full implementation of TSA. No more fraudulent PDP oil subsidy and those that stole subsidy money under Jonathan are being persecuted by by the EFCC. We had a Harvard trained economist as Finance minister and she was at the helm when people like Omokri, FFK, Abati and Diezani were submitting notes with 60 leaves paper to collect billions from the CBN for political campaigns! We have a President whose wife is not amassing USD 34million in Skye bank for her future generations. The Nigeria of today is 1million times better than the Nigeria of the Jonathan era. Things are not perfect but at least there is progress. Jonathan and his gang were busy sharing USD2Billion in 2014, the year before the 2015 elecrions. This is 2018, a year before the 2019 elections and everybody is still busy working. The only people making noise now are the same people that love sharing money before elections, PDP!!!

Culture / Isi Agu - An Igbo Identity by soloxxng: 11:21pm On Mar 26, 2018
Is isi-agụ the right name for this cloth material that is associated with the Igbos?

Yes, isi-agụ is its correct name but what is on the cloth is isi ọdụm (lion's head), not isi agụ (leopard's head)

Does that nullify the name? No.

Is it the first time a wrong name has been given to something in Igbo, English, Latin, etc? No.

The people who named this cloth mistakenly called it isi-agụ. But that wrong name has become its name. It can't be changed soon. It does not even matter anymore.

It is that mistake that contributed to the confusion many Igbos who are under 50 have over which animal is agụ and which one is ọdụm.

Ọdụm is lion.

Agụ is leopard.

That is why we say: Ọdụm na-egbu agụ (the lion that kills the leopard). That is why God is called Ọdụm nke ebo Juda (the Lion of the tribe of Juda).

Tiger never existed in Africa and was never seen or known by our forefathers. So they had no name for it. But in modern times, some people also call the tiger agụ. However, I have suggested that it be called agụ-ukwu (the big leopard), because it is the biggest of the big cats, while cheetah should be called agụ-ọsọ (the speed leopard), because it is the fastest land animal.

So should isi-agụ be changed to isi- ọdụm? It is not necessary. Languages don't develop like that.

Similar mistakes had been made in Igbo before. Some months ago, I asked people on Facebook what is the Igbo name for library, since school is already called ụlọ akwụkwọ (book house), and what is the Igbo name for pharmacy, since hospital is already called ụlọ ọgwụ (drug house). It caused a lot of confusion and introspection.

School has been "erroneously" named ụlọ akwụkwọ. It can't be changed anymore. Library will have to get a different name. Same goes for pharmacy.

In English, similar mistakes have been made countless times. When the world erroneously thought the earth was flat, they coined the words "sunrise" and "sunset", believing that the sun rose from the east and set in the west. Centuries ago it was discovered and certified that the sun never rises and never sets. Rather the earth rotates round the sun. Centuries after, the words sunset and sunrise have not been abolished in English. We use it everyday even though we know sunset and sunrise are scientifically wrong and non-existent.

Similarly, the months September means 7th month (ie septuagenarian); October means 8th month (ie octagon, octogenarian); November means 9th month (ie nonagon, nonagenarian); December means 10th month (ie decimal, decade, decimetre). But in reality they are 9th, 10, 11th, 12th month respectively in the Gregorian calendar we use today. This is because the old calender did not capture 2 months. The current calendar captured them, gave them names and adjusted the months by 2 months, causing the mix-up we have today. But nobody bothers to change the names of the months to reflect their true meanings.

Again when Christopher Columbus set out for India through a different route, he landed in North America. Thinking it was another part of India, he called the indigenous people he saw there Red Indians. West Indies also got its name via that mistake. These names have stuck till today even though North America has no connection with India.

So isi-agụ was mistakenly named by those who didn't know the difference between agụ (leopard) and ọdụm (lion). But that name has stuck. It can't be changed now. Isi-agụ is its name.

Interestingly, some isi-agụ materials bear no animal pictures (as can be seen in some of the attached pictures), but are still called isi-agụ. Some even have the pictures of other animals but are still called isi-agụ. So it is no longer the picture drawn on this material that makes people call it isi-agụ. It is the material and what it represents. It is the cloth material that points to the Igbos as a people. The Igbos have adopted it as the cloth that gives them their identity. So isi-agụ is it!

If you don't have your isi-agụ, nwanne, ndo.

Politics / Obj, Jonathan And Buhari On Corruption by soloxxng: 9:29am On Mar 21, 2018
Between Presidents Obasanjo, Jonathan and Buhari.
Record has it that president Obasanjo sacked his IGP Tafa Balogun for corruption. He sacked the then Senate President Adolfus Wabara for corruption. He also sacked his own ministers, Fabian Osuji, S.M Afolabi, Hussein Akwanga, Tim Menakaya, etc for corruption. He also sacked Mrs Mobolaji Osomo for administrative infraction. The same way late president Umaru Musa Yar’Adua sacked Mrs Adenike Grange as Minister of Health for administrative infraction.
It's on records that president Jonathan also sacked Stella Odua for corruption. Stella Odua was one of the most powerful ministers in president Jonathan's administration. But when she erred, President Jonathan sacked her. President Jonathan also sacked Mr. Abdulrasheed Maina as the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reform for corruption.
Now, tell me who president Buhari has sacked for the reported cases of corruption in his government?
Mind you, If you tell me that president Buhari sacked Babachir, I will happily remind you that the same president Buhari wrote the Senate, defended and exonerated Babachir of all wrong doings leveled against him. It was the cry of people like you and me and some other good Nigerians that forced him to sack Babachir and have him replaced with his own brother, Boss Mustapha. In other words, Mr. Babachir brought his own replacement.
Yet, some hero worshipping obsessive dim-wits will still want me to believe that president Buhari is Mr. Integrity and that he is fighting corruption.
Let me also remind you that president Buhari also reappointed the following guys who were all sacked for corruption and violation of their oaths of offices:
Abdulrasheed Maina:
Maina was the chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reform. He was secretly recalled and reinstated by president Buhari. He was even promoted to the position of director in charge of human resources in the ministry of interior. Maina was dismissed by president Jonathan in 2013 following recommendations by the Office of the Head of Service. He was said to have stolen about 100billion naira from the pension fund.
CP Zakari Biu:
CP Biu was dismissed following his complicity in the escape from police detention of notorious Boko Haram suspect, Kabiru Sokoto. He was reinstated and promoted to the rank of AIG by president Buhari before he was gloriously retired from active service.
NHIS Boss, Prof Usman Yusuf:
Prof Yusuf was said to have squandered over 997 million naira from the schemes intervention fund. Investigation was carried out and he was dully sacked by the minister of health. But because he is president Buhari's brother, he was recently reinstated.
Mallam Ahmed Saleh.
Saleh was the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court. He connived with two others (Mohammed Abdulrahaman Sharif and Rilwanu Lawal) and stole 2.2 billion naira belonging to the apex court. They were also said to have received gratifications totaling 74.4 million naira from private contractors who were providing services to the apex court. Mallam Saleh was sacked but president Buhari reinstated him and promoted him as the Secretary of Legal Council of Nigeria.
Don't ever tell me that president Buhari is fighting corruption. Facts on ground are showing otherwise. Some of us work with facts not emotions.

Jokes Etc / Installing Husband by soloxxng: 8:49am On Aug 09, 2016
A woman writes to the IT Technical support Guy

Dear Tech Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and I noticed a distinct slowdown in the overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewellery applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled another valuable program, Romance 9.5.
And then installed undesirable programs such as NEWS 5.0, MONEY 3.0 and FOOTBALL 4.1.

What can I do?

Reply:

Dear Madam,

First, keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to download Tears 6.2.
Then it will automatically runs the applications Jewellery 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.
However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Silence 2.5 or Beer 6.1.

Also DO NOT disturb the original package of Husband 1.0.... Otherwise new virus Girlfried 2.5 automatically downloaded into your system. So be careful.
In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

We recommend: Cooking 3.0 and Hot Looks 7.7.

Good Luck Madam!
