just wanted you to realise that the job of a marketer is no rose in the garden at all especially for someone who i repeat doesn't have the flair for it esp. In this recession period,
hear me out on these few line


1. Every month you are expected to draw up a call plan with a list of places and people you intend to market for new accounts( note this is when you realise that no wealth family of yours would want to render any assistance in opening an account with you because you now work in a bank)

2. You are expected to bring in money(a.k.a year end target) that you will never earn till you leave that bank(talking about from 300million to 2billion!!!

3. No achievement no promotion(despite the fact that we all know that there is no liquidity in the country due to the recession)

4. It will really shock you to realise that some people working in units that what they really have to do is show up at work and represent the bank at social functions also earn what you earn with little pecks here and there due to the flexible of the function unlike yours.

5. Shocking truth is that no one cares to know if you have been to and have been turned down by all the companies and individuals in the whole world , all the bank cares about is that you just bring in that money, even if it means doing jazz to obtain it.

6. Realise that most customers are interested in loans which we know the bank isn't ready to give out!!!

7. There is no fresh funds in the country all we do is lend money from other banks and institutions and keep in trust for a short period of time so f you hear any marketer say he/she brought in 100million- 1billion just say to them that am sure it is aka f.i funds and you will see that person give you a second look!!1
