Religion / What Every Lady Needs Is Favour And Beauty by soteria001(m): 11:30pm On Dec 02, 2018 |
TOPIC: FAVOUR AND BEAUTY (Gen. 29:17, Esther 2:15,17, Prov 18:22) Course content includes: 1. Introduction 2. Definition of terms 3. Why you need favour and beauty 4. How to obtain favour from the lord. 1. INTRODUCTION Every lady who is a child of God carries favour upon her. It says in Psalms 90:17 And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. The reason God bestows so much beauty upon you as ladies, is for you to be productive because God takes pleasure in establishing the work of our hands as a show of His favour. Therefore no lady is a liability. You're a carrier of the God's inestimable treasure of great price. You're wonderfully and fearfully made. The very apple of God's eyes. It's important to know this so that not just any guy or stranger will flatter you with the same words in order to get you to do his unrighteous biding. You're beautiful and well favoured. Even though Esther was in a foreign land, yet when a replacement for queen Vashti was sought for, she found favour before all them that looked on her and even before the king, who eventually made her the queen in place of vashti (Esther 2:15-17) It's also important to know that God designed a lady to be beautiful and well favoured in order to bring salvation, deliverance and breakthrough not only for herself alone but also to her generation as it was with Esther and her people; the Jews. We can see that God bestowed so much beauty and favour on her in order to bring her to a place of prominence, royalty and authority which eventually brought deliverance to the Jews from the hand of Hamman and all the enemies of the Jews (Esther 9:1-5,16) Sadly, in our contemporary days, the purpose to which God made a woman more beautiful and well favoured has been abused and that is why God is calling us to be restored back to Him by understanding the true essence of your make-up as a lady. Your beauty is not to seduce men to fall into sin nor should it be used as a bait for weakness to pass an exam or attain a position of compromise. Your beauty is not for molestation by uncultured and canal men. It is for God's glory to be revealed through you to your family, friends and to your generation at large. 2. DEFINITION OF TERMS. We've since been using the terms beautiful and well favoured but we should take a critical look at what these terms really mean, so we could have a better idea of what we are talking about.. WHAT THEN IS FAVOUR? Favour is a natural but supernatural or acquired excellence. It is any endowment that recommends the possessor to others for preference or to be chosen among many options (Esther as a case study) Favour which also means grace is appropriately, the free unmerited love and kindness of God, the spring from the source of all the benefits anyone can receive from Him. it is God's way of blessing His children without any form of reservation or without finding faults in them. No matter how terrible your past is, God is not condemning you anymore as long as you've found favour in His sight. WHAT THEN IS BEAUTY? Beauty is an assemblage of graces, or a combination of properties either the colour of the skin, your dressing or appearance etc... which pleases the eye. Beauty as used for a lady is due to the proportion or symmetry of her body parts which constitutes the most essential property to which we annex the term beauty (whenever a man tells you that you're beautiful, that means he has seen mostly all the symmetry of your shape and appearance to be well pleasing in his sight). But the principal properties which constitute beauty is hardly possible to define from physical appearance alone. Therefore, beauty is well defined from scriptures as we read in 1 peter 3:3-4 AMP Vs 3. Let not yours(your beauty) be the [merely] external adorning with [elaborate] interweaving and knotting of the hair, the wearing of jewelry, or changes of clothes; Vs 4. But let it be the inward adorning and beauty of the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible and unfading charm of a gentle(meek/humble) and peaceful spirit, which [is not anxious or wrought up, but] is very precious in the sight of God. Notably, from the above scripture, beauty can best be defined by the state of the inner man; having the eternal virtues, gifts and fruits of an unfading spiritual charm and not just about the physical appearance alone. 3. WHY YOU NEED FAVOUR AND BEAUTY There's a popular aphorism that says "one day of favour is better than many years of labour." That is why favour is very crucial. As ladies, you need favour and beauty for the following reasons; i. You need beauty and favour to be preferred above others (Gen 29:17). For instance, Jacob choose Rachel because she was beautiful and well favoured. Although this is not a competition, but it is a necessary grace that separates the few from the crowd. ii. You need favour and beauty to bring prosperity, salvation, breakthrough and deliverance to your generation (Esther 9:1-5,16). iii. You need favour and beauty in order to enjoy life in abundance (Exd 12:36) iv. You need favour in order to possess your possession (psalm 44:3). v. You need favour in order to keep winning in life Acts 7:45-46... David never lost any battle because he found favour with the lord. 4. HOW TO OBTAIN FAVOUR FROM THE LORD. i. Be born again because favour is the inheritance of every child of God. Exd 12:36, 1sam 2:26, Luke 2:52 ii. Fight for what is right by engaging in spiritual matters like prayer, fasting and other spiritual mystery (Esther 4:16, 5:2, 8:1-7) iii. Go for wisdom and knowledge. For instance; buy books about every aspect of life you need to knowledge of (e.g family, relationship, dating and courtship, marriage covenant, career e.t.c) and study your Bible daily Prov. 8:35, 13:15 iv. Avoid every form of lies. Be truthful, kind and merciful both to yourself and to those around you. Prov 3:3-4. v. Fear the lord in all you do by giving Him His rightful place and authority over your life (Prov 31:30).. Joseph found favour because he feared God (Gen.39:9,21) Finally, it's important to know that everyone has a story and as ladies, you also must guard your life jealously in order to have a glorious story to tell. Jesus is Lord. see https://mysoteria..com/2018/12/what-every-lady-needs-is-favour-and_2.html

Politics / Calling Former Enugu State Gov. “sullivan Chime” To Order (details) by soteria001(m): 10:10pm On Dec 02, 2018 |
His Excellency, Sullivan Iheanacho Chime, immediate past Governor of Enugu state is generally taciturn. He is not given to many words, not loquacious and even when he speaks, his words are neither verbose nor tainted with hyperbole. His mien is often austere, even if not scary. Perhaps, it is in the light of the foregoing, that the recent statement credited to former Governor Sullivan Chime is discomforting and distasteful. Chime was quoted recently in the course of reconciliation meeting of the crisis-ridden All Progressive Congress (APC) in Enugu State that the forthcoming 2019 elections in Enugu State ‘’Will be War’’ For a former Governor and former Chief Security Officer of the state to make a public declaration that the next election will be war speaks volumes for a man who should know better about the importance of peace in a state. Sullivan Chime, against all odds and permutations, rose to power as Governor of Enugu state through the single decision of his predecessor His Excellency Senator Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani who deployed his Ebeano political machine to the full advantage of Sullivan in his election as Governor. To the consternation of many, Sullivan kicked the Ebeano ladder away after his election. What became the relationship between Sullivan Chime and his Godfather and mentor Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani is common knowledge and again speaks volume about gratitude that is definitely a scarce commodity in Sullivan’s ‘’to do list’’. However, that is not our concern here. We are worried that a former Chief Security Officer of a state has openly and unabashly called for arms in an election in his state. Sullivan’s call to arms is completely misconceived and unwarranted. He rose to power through the goodwill and effort of one man, His Excellency Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani. For a man who did not even have an outside chance of winning a councillorship election to become Governor for Eight Years, his call to arms is uncharitable, to say the least. As potential investors to Enugu state, we are gravely concerned by the series of clandestine activities and meetings that is, in the main, intended to scare some of us away from Enugu state. For instance, we are aware of a clandestine meeting that was recently held in Ogwugwu in the Igala land area of Kogi state at the country home of a high ranking politician in that state. The ultimate aim of the meeting is to perfect plans to destabilise the prevailing peace in Enugu state and cause confusion in the forthcoming 2019 elections in Enugu state. Also, similar meetings have also been held in Anaku, Anambra state and Auchi in Edo state. In Ugbokolo in Benue state, the purveyors of doom also met recently with the sole objective of unleashing mayhem in Enugu state during the 2019 elections. As observers of the political activities in the state, we have noted with concern, the violence that characterized the primaries of the All Progressive Congress in Enugu state. A case in point is the invasion of APC Congress venues by gun-wielding thugs who fired sporadically to disperse party loyalists. Similar fights also took place in APC offices and there was even a reported case of attempted assassination on one of the factional leaders of the party in the state. Indeed, there is even a more disturbing report of attempts at blackmailing the present administration in the state. For instance, we have received reports of plans to stagemanage attack through the use of petrol bomb in the residence of one of the factional Governorship candidates in the state with the aim of pointing accusing fingers at the other parties in the state. All these, it seems, are dress rehearsals to unleash violence and escalate crisis on the date of elections in Enugu state. As for Sullivan Chime, we understand his motive in jumping ship and joining the All Progressive Congress (APC). After all, they say that self preservation is the first law of nature. Sullivan needed cover from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after his tenure as Governor. But does that justify his call to arms in an election that he himself rode effortlessly to second term. It is also worthy of note that APC in Enugu state has boasted that they will take over the state by fair or foul, by fire by force as they say in Pentecostalism. There are talks within the APC members to replay the Ekiti and Osun elections charade. According to impeccable sources, the APC’s plan is to take over the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) where sensitive election materials are to be moved, thereby ensuring that there would be no election at all on election days. In that instance, another day will be set for elections in Enugu whereby, according to them, the Federal might will now aggregate their forces to Enugu. The second scenario, according to our sources, is for the APC to precipitate violence all over the state on the date of election. Their calculation is that once there is violence, then INEC will be forced to cancel the elections and reschedule for another day. Again, by this script, the Federal power will now be called in. There is even a more audacious scenario whereby the APC henchmen are boasting that whatever is the outcome of the elections, their candidates will be declared as winners. The above scenario makes Sullivan Chime’s call to arms very worrisome. By declaring that the election will be war, Sullivan is already playing out a well written script by the APC to takeover Enugu by fire, by force. God forbid. We know that Enugu state is a peace loving state. Indeed the state is enjoying peace unprecedented in the past twenty five years. It is, arguably, the most peaceful state in the country. So why should the coal city descend to war because some few persons want power by all means. Although, some of us are not indigenes of Enugu state, but we have over years of residence taken Enugu state as our home. And it is, indeed, home to all easterners. We love the peace we have enjoyed in Enugu state. As investors, we want to bring our investment to a peaceful and conducive environment. Where there is anarchy and violence, people like us will be scared to make any meaningful investment because nobody will like to put his money where there will be war. Enugu state loves peace and should not be pushed to unnecessary war by desperate politicians. For declaring that elections in Enugu state will be war, Sullivan Chime should be called to order before he and his co-travellers unleash mayhem in the state. Dr.Ogbonna Nwankwo Lagos. https://mysoteria..com/2018/12/calling-former-enugu-state-gov-sullivan.html

Life was an empty socket despaired of possessing life. Huge hands out spread and raised in imprecation and in threat, with mouth torn open in an anguished wound. A body tattooed with wounds seen and unseen from the harsh whip strokes of hardship, disappointment, betrayal and all negative vices. My skin was nothing more than a starched pound or shell of flesh tortured by the unwavering wickedness of the world. Bitterness and tears congealed into hatred and it flowed through my veins as blood. My spirit had been tortured by the threshold of pain from the past. My soul had thick darkness imprinted on it, endlessly it search for even a little glimpse of light. Not until that perfect gentleman walked into my life, my life was hanged on an epileptic pendulum. He calmed the rowdy storm that threatened to drown my life away. He brought peace and quiet into my life. He pulled my soul out of darkness and brought a marvelous light into it. My spirit, He lifted from the pains of the past. He washed my body with His precious blood and gave me a new life, new hope, new peace, new joy. Now I have joy like a river because His grace found me. #KingsBride #EstherAmaka https://mysoteria..com/2018/12/life-without-christ.html

Fashion / 8 Things Women Are Banned From Wearing Around The World by soteria001(m): 3:05pm On Nov 29, 2018 |
Women around the world are being punished, criminalized and shamed for wearing clothes that are deemed inappropriate by authorities, with restrictions in place from London to Khartoum. Here's a list of some of the things women are not allowed to wear: 1. Flat shoes at Cannes The film festival has been accused of "tyrannical fashion policing" after reports emerged that a group of women were turned away from a red-carpet premiere for not wearing high heels. The women, some of whom had medical conditions and were their 50's, were wearing rhinestone flats to the opening of Cate Blanchett's new film Carol when they told they would not be allowed to enter, reports The Guardian. Directors and insiders confirmed that the shoe policy was regularly enforced at the event, despite a claim from festival director Thierry Fremaux that the "rumours" were "unfounded". One Cannes regular told Screen Daily: "I've heard this happening several times now, even to older women who can’t wear heels for medical reasons. It's bulls***." The scandal comes as the annual festival attempts to address issues around gender equality and a push for greater female representation in the male-dominated film industry. "So much for the year of women," tweeted Times arts correspondent Jack Malvern. 2. A tuxedo in Louisiana A school in Louisiana told straight-A student Claudetteia Love she is not allowed to wear a tuxedo to her high school prom. "[The head teacher] said that the faculty told him they weren't going to work the prom if girls were going to wear tuxes," her mother Geraldine Jackson told regional newspaper The News Star. “Those were his exact words: 'Girls wear dresses and boys wear tuxes, and that's the way it is’." 3. The veil in France Last year, the European Court of Human Rights upheld France's ban on wearing the face veil, angering civil rights groups across the continent. Those behind the law argued that it encouraged citizens to "live together". The law makes it illegal for anyone to cover the face in a public space, and although it applies to balaclavas and helmets, critics say it is used to target Muslim women. "No matter what law is passed on the niqab, it will not stop me from wearing it," Semaa Abdulwali wrote in The Guardian. "I don’t want to be controlled and told what I can and cannot wear: that is oppression." 4. Miniskirts in Uganda Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni signed an anti-pornography bill last year, which banned women from dressing "indecently". Dubbed ‘the mini skirt law’ by the local press, the legislation prevents women from revealing their thighs, breasts and buttocks. Campaigners say it has given men the excuse to criticize, humiliate and abuse women who don't follow the rules. "Now people are more free to do it openly. They are going to judge women according to what they see as indecent because there are no parameters defined by law,” Rita Achiro, executive director of the Uganda Women's Network told the BBC. 5. Lace underwear in Kazakhstan Dozens of women protesting against a ban on lacy underwear were arrested in Kazakhstan a year ago. They were bundled into police vans while wearing underwear on the heads and shouting: "Freedom to panties!" Since then, women in Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus have been denied the right to choose their underwear, after a "draconian trade ban" was introduced, prohibiting the import, production or sale of synthetic lace underwear. Officials advised women to wear more breathable fabrics, like cotton, for better vaginal health, but campaigners said bureaucrats shouldn't be "poking into women's knickers", Australian newspaper Daily Life reported. 6. Red lipstick on the BBC Television presenters on the BBC's children's television channel CBBC were banned from wearing red lip stick on air because it was too provocative. "We know that a lot of young girls will look at how our presenters are dressed, and they shouldn't look too sexy," said Melissa Hardinge, executive editor of CBBC Independents. Cosmopolitan's Bridget March responded: "While we applaud their concern, we don't know if censoring women's appearances is the way to fix it." 7. Leggings in the United States In February, Republican lawmaker David Moore introduced a bill which would ban women from wearing "any device, costume, or covering that gives the appearance of or simulates the genitals, pubic hair, anus region, or pubic hair region". Similar rules have emerged across the US, with several schools banning girls from wearing yoga pants and other tight-fitting clothing that could "distract" boys. Such legislation sends the message that women's bodies are an "invitation for sexual aggression unless they cover up," wrote Tara Culp-Ressler in Think Progress. 8. Trousers in Sudan Women and girls in Sudan can be arrested by police and sentenced to public flogging for wearing trousers or leaving their hair uncovered, reported Amnesty International's Amal Habani. The country's public order laws are applied arbitrarily to the detriment of women and girls and fail to adhere to Sudan’s human rights obligations, she said. In 2012, Habani was detained, beaten and tortured by police for demanding that Sudanese women be given the right to choose what they wear. What do you think Nigerian ladies should be banned from wearing? https://msoteria..com/2018/11/8-things-women-are-banned-from-wearing.html

Romance / Tips For Healthy Relationships by soteria001(m): 3:33pm On Nov 26, 2018 |
Sometimes relationships can seem like a lot of work until you sit back and realize just how much you've been given. A thriving, healthy relationship is absolutely within your reach if you and your partner are willing to do a bit of work. Here's how to start nurturing your bond. THINGS YOU MUST DO INDEPENDENTLY 1. Take responsibility for your own happiness. Save yourself several hours of arguing by remembering this one rule: it's not up to anyone else to make you happy. 2. Make good on your words . Follow through on your promises. When you say you're going to do something, do it. Don't say that you'll cook dinner, or get a birthday present, and then blow it off or simply forget about it. What this does is systematically destroy trust. And relationships need trust in order to thrive. 3. Admit your mistakes . If you know you've done something to hurt your partner intentionally or not, own up to it. Humble yourself and apologize sincerely, without making excuses or justifications like "I'm sorry you made me angry." - Commit to changing your behavior. If you notice yourself apologizing for the same mistake over and over, step it up a level. Tell your partner that you recognize this mistake keeps happening, and you want to train yourself to stop. Request help and ask or him or her to gently point it out to you when you're making this mistake again. 4. Be realistic . Every relationship has disagreements and days when staying isn't the easiest choice. But what makes a relationship healthy is choosing to resolve those problems and push through the hard days, instead of just letting issues and resentment fester. - Review your expectations. Do you see your partner as a person, with both winning qualities and flaws, or as someone you expect to be perfect? If your expectations are so astronomical that no one could live up to them 100% of the time, you're setting up your relationship for failure. - Accept that conflict happens. If you expect to be in a long-term relationship, you're bound to have the occasional disagreement. Remember that one argument isn't the end of everything, and there's no person on earth that you'd agree with all the time. - Always ask yourself whether you're better off in the relationship than out of it. If you don't think you're better off in the relationship, then you probably should have a serious discussion with your partner. In a loving relationship, this question almost always gets a simple "Yes." 5. Listen to your partner. Sometimes, all your partner wants is for you to lend an ear and be sympathetic about one of their problems. Other times, your partner wants you to actively give them advice. Know which one your partner is looking for, and try to give them what they want. Being a good listener is all about paying attention to what they're saying and not blowing it off. - Listening to your partner will enhance your relationship in many ways. It will help you resolve differences without arguing; let you explore each other's personality more deeply; and even help you pick out an awesome Christmas present. There are no downsides to listening. 6. Show your affection in whatever way you can. There's a difference between knowing that you're loved and feeling that you're loved. Sometimes, we bank on the fact that our partners should know that we love them even when we don't show it. Don't rely on this too much. The best relationships use affection to show love. - Do something for your partner that you know s/he will truly appreciate. Whether it means getting up early to mow the lawn, taking the kids to karate, or baking that nutella shortcake, it's often the little favors that say the most. - Don't be afraid to show physical affection every once in a while. Loving relationships feed off of the little kisses, hugs, and back-rubs that are mainstays of affection. - Do the unexpected. It's one thing to kiss your partner after you come home from work; it's another thing to kiss your wife while you're skydiving, falling 10,000 feet from a plane. It's the thought that counts, so put a little effort into it for huge returns. 7. Be loyal. Make sure he/she knows that you will always be there for him/her. Put him/her first in your life as much as you possibly can. Not that you have to only see him/her ever, or never talk to anyone else, but he/she should know that he/she can always count on you if he/she needs something. Also, expect the same loyalty from him/her. You deserve to feel prized in the relationship just as much as him/her. 8. Do not ever hide anything from him/her. Especially your feelings about him/her and your relationship - whether good or bad! This way you will be able to overcome all the difficulties and challenges together. If something bad happened in your past that still affects you in the present, he/she needs to know about it. Note: you should be able to discuss your sexual history. It is an obligation before you decide to be sexually involved with your partner. But you should make them feel safe and not judgmental and you should expect the same from your partner. 9. Give him/her some space. Everyone needs their own privacy and some freedom, so don't constantly watch everything he/she does. Everyone hates to be watched, stifled and controlled. - Do not ever spy on him/her (reading his/her phone, stalking him/her on social networks, following him/her around). If he/she is cheating on you, you will find out. These things cannot be kept secret for very long. But if you spy on him/her and he/she is innocent, you will lose his trust and respect forever. 10. Express your feelings towards him/her.Always remind him/her of how much he means to you, and what he/she represents to you. Women are not the only ones who need expressions of love and care, men need that too. - If you have a problem, you need to let him/her know - preferably in a clear and calm manner without any yelling. If he says `Are you OK?` and you answer yes, do not expect him to understand that you really meant no. Be honest and open. - Let him/her know it is safe to open up to you about what he is feeling. Reward his/her trust in you by sympathizing with him/her and, but you don`t need to say much, just listen. - Don't be afraid to lose him/her or spend every minute fearing the huge pain that that might cause you. Enjoy each wonderful moment as it happens, and realize that there will never be another one just like it. - Never be pathetic and needy just to make him/her pay attention to you and give you sympathy. - A solid relationship should be based on mutual respect; if you are constantly trying to pull him/her down with you, this means you don`t respect him /her enough to want him/her to be happy. If you are depressed, see a doctor - don`t pull some guy/girl into your problems. READ MORE@ https://msoteria..com/2018/11/tips-for-healthy-relationship.html

Politics / Atiku Will Surely Not Disappoint – Olusegun Obasanjo by soteria001(m): 3:07pm On Nov 26, 2018 |
Former Vice President and the Presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has got another praise from his boss the ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo. This was when he was been formally turbaned as the 7th Waziri of Adamawa Emirate. The position of Waziri makes the former Vice President next to the Lamido of Adamawa, Alhaji Muhammadu Barkindo, in hierarchy in the emirate. Speaking at the occasion, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, commended upgrading of Atiku from Turaki to Waziri, adding that Atiku would “surely not disappoint” the emirate. “I assure you that he will carry out his tasks with dignity, respect, honour and you will be proud of him,” Obasanjo said. In his acceptance speech, Atiku expressed gratitude to God for the honour and thanked the Lamido and Nigerians for his various achievements in life. Atiku assured the emirate council and traditional institution of his commitment to continue to work for peace and unity of the emirate and the nation in general. The colourful turbaning ceremony was graced by dignitaries from within and outside the country including, Senate President Bukola Saraki, Speaker Yakubu Dogara, former President Goodluck Jonathan, his vice Namadi Sambo as well as governors of Gombe, Taraba, Sokoto and Bayelsa states.
