@ OTAWA, You meant Grand Central Station, Grand Central does not extend to the west side, which is where 6th Avenue is.

Education / Re: Unilag vs OAU-Ife vs UI? by souless: 3:08am On Aug 07, 2008
Please when comparing schools, Unilag should not be included. I am so disapointed in that school. Before I got admitted for my second degree into Unilag, I thought that all we heard about the school as per academics and others we will definately experience, but right now I and most of my classmates are wondering if it was a wise idea going to such a school, where their lecturers behave as if they are in the medieval age, as if they are Lord and master of unilag, that no school authority can bring them to order. everything about that school is noithing to write home about. Academics is zero, we keep wondering who actually employed these lecturere that do not know how to impact knowledge. School accomodation is Zero. Have any of you been to their post graduate hostel (the masters level), called Erin carr, gees, you would just wonder. The rooms are so small, and from info we got the room was actually built to occupy one student, but because of their love for money, the authorities of the school decided to allocate a room to two students. We are really tired. I don't think the lecturers can discern between what a part time programme is and a full time programme. They fixed their part time time table for 6pm everyday, but some really dumb lectures came and chaged their lecture time to 5pm, knowing that alot of us opted for part time because we work, thus cannot get to class for 5. And when you eventually make the class at 6.25pm, the same dumb lecturer will embarass you, and warn you not to come late to his class again, or simply ask you to stand outside. They treat their post graduate students as if they are jambites. Unilag lecturers lack curtsey. When the come one hour late to class, they never apologise, and to think that most of them said they schooled abroad. We just wonder. We are really disappointed inĀ  Unilag.

You really went to Unilag and you don't know there is no hall named Erin Carr, are you kidding me!!!!
Nairaland / General / Re: Please Ban Me Before Nairalanders Kill Me With Their Ninglish by souless: 2:37pm On Dec 03, 2007
This is a forum for the love of God. As long as people are understood what's all the hoopla about writing correct English, have you gone on any of the sites that are US based? Why don't you go tell them to correct their grammar errors. You people just waste time on things that are totally inconsequential.
Culture / Re: Is It Necessary To 'try' And Adapt An American, west Indian Or British Accent ? by souless: 1:35pm On Dec 03, 2007
Sometimes, it is imperative to adapt. If you work in a corporate world in a country whose accent is a long ways from yours then you gotta adapt. That's not to say you should overdo it, just change some key pronunciations/vowel enunciation and you're good to go.

When in Rome, do as the Romans.
Family / Re: Am I Having An Affair With This Smart Girl? by souless: 1:16pm On Dec 03, 2007
You are definitely cheating on her, emotionally , it's actually worse than you cheating on her physically IMO.

Politics / Re: 101 Things You Need To Relocate To Nigeria by souless: 12:33pm On Dec 03, 2007
Hmmnnn

You forget that there are some people abroad who have jobs that any company (particularly the banks) would be ecstatic that they hired that person, plus you forget that there are so many people in the diaspora who intentionally work for multinational companies abroad and when they are ready to come back home, they simply take a transfer.

And there are so many people abroad who already have homes in the best places in Nigeria.

The things that one can't bring when relocating are the roads, the electricity, quality and security of life and property and maybe integrity that most of us Nigerians lost in our teens.
Politics / Re: Dual Citizenship by souless: 12:22pm On Dec 03, 2007
Each country has its own citizenship laws based on its own policy, the US citizenship laws doesn't stop you from being in Govt but you definitely can't run for President. I guess in Nigeria it makes sense that you have to denounce or not have a dual citizenship because IMO, how can you be equally loyal to two countries?
Romance / Re: To All The Ladies In The House(guys Too Are Welcome). What Will U Do? by souless: 11:53am On Dec 03, 2007
Go on with the new guy. Three years is 1095 days too long for his story to be believable, aren't there phones in prison and why didn't he send her a letter in all that time?
