DoggoneDogg: By Olalekan Fakoyejo It’s not yet known if the victims of Sokoloan will be compensated, but Riba hinted on the possibility of such action being taken. [/url] Victims should seek to be joined in the suit and they will cash out big from the fine. N10m fine is no small money, it should be shared among the victims cos they were the causalities and not the agency. Some victims I personally know are still coping with depression as a result of the humiliations 26 Likes |

A grand reception was organized last week by the Ogoni leaders in Rivers State to honor Gov Wike. Sen. Magnus Abe made a surprise appearance at that event. The Governorship ticket in Rivers come 2023 has been decided and Magnus Abe's men are repositioning to work for him. In 2023, like in 2015 and 2019, the PDP will likely have less opposition during the guber elections. Wike is a strategic political player and this move is going to work in his favor. |

Foreign Affairs / Re: Israeli Military Misled The Media To Lure Hamas Fighters Into Bunker by SpeakOutNaija: 2:42pm On May 15, 2021 |
What is the history behind Israel-Palentine conflict and what is happening now? The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is one of the world’s longest-running and most controversial conflicts. It claims to have its roots in 957 BC when King Solomon built the first temple in the Israelite kingdom. The temple was destroyed by Nebuchadrezzar II of Babylonia in 587/586 BC. Though both the Jews and the Arab Muslims date their claims to the land back a couple thousand years, the current political conflict began in the early 20th century. Streaks of light are seen as Israels Iron Dome anti-missile system intercept rockets launched from the Gaza Strip towards Israel, as seen from Ashkelon. A 100-year-old issue After the Ottoman Empire was defeated in World War I, the British took control of the area known as Palestine. The land was inhabited by a Jewish minority and Arab majority. Tensions between the two peoples grew when the international community gave Britain the task of establishing a "national home" in Palestine for the Jewish people. For the Jews, it was their ancestral home. However, the Palestinian Arabs also claimed the land and opposed the move. The Jews, fleeing persecution in Europe and seeking a homeland after the Holocaust of WWII, arrived in huge numbers between the 1920s and 1940s. The swelling numbers led to violence between the Arabs and the Jews and resentment against the British rule. In 1947, the United Nations voted for Palestine to be split into separate Jewish and Arab states, with Jerusalem becoming an international city. That plan was accepted by Jewish leaders but rejected by the Arab side and never implemented. Creation of Israel and the chaos that followed British rulers failed to establish peace between the Muslims and Jews and thus, declared the creation of the state of Israel in 1948. Palestinians objected and a war followed. Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians fled or were forced out of their homes in what they call Al Nakba, or the "Catastrophe". By the time the fighting ended in a ceasefire the following year, Israel controlled most of the territory. The war led to over 700,000 Palestinians becoming refugees. Jordan occupied land, which became known as the West Bank, and Egypt occupied Gaza. Jerusalem was divided between Israeli forces in the West, and Jordanian forces in the East. Since there was never a peace agreement, each side blamed the other and wars and conflicts continued. The most significant one among them was fought in 1967, when Israel occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank, as well as most of the Syrian Golan Heights, and Gaza and the Egyptian Sinai peninsula. Today’s lines largely reflect the outcomes of two of these wars, one waged in 1948 and another in 1967. How things stand now Tensions are always high between Israel and Palestinians living in East Jerusalem, Gaza and the West Bank. Gaza is ruled by a Palestinian militant group called Hamas, which has fought Israel many times. Israel and Egypt tightly control Gaza's borders. Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank say they're suffering because of Israeli actions and restrictions. Israel say it is only acting to protect itself from Palestinian violence. For Palestinians — Most Palestinian refugees and their descendants live in Gaza and the West Bank, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria. — Neither they nor their descendants have been allowed to return to their homes by Israel — Palestinians claim East Jerusalem as the capital of a future Palestinian state. For Israel — Israel says allowing Palestinians to return to their homes would overwhelmingly threaten its existence as a Jewish state. — It still occupies the West Bank, and although it pulled out of Gaza, the United Nations still regards it as part of occupied territory. — Israel claims the whole of Jerusalem as its capital. Peace talks have been taking place on and off for more than 25 years, but to no avail. 9 Likes |

Nigerian govt can't afford to allow bandits kill another hostage from the Greenfield University in Kaduna State. While I don't subscribe to ransom payment to terrorist, i personally feel Nigerian govt should adopt the FBI negotiation approach of identify targets, negotiate with targets having only one end result, eliminate targets afterward but ensure safe return of hostages if you can't guarantee safe counter strike Give them the motorcycles they requested for with hidden chips with listening and spying devices |

Politics / Reps Minority Leader Joins Calls For Pantami’s Removal by SpeakOutNaija: 12:49pm On Apr 21, 2021 |
The minority leader of the House of Representatives, Ndudi Elumelu has joined calls for the removal or resignation of the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami. This is concerning the Minister’s past controversial comments suggesting religious extremism. The lawmaker on Wednesday raised the issue as a point of order citing a breach of his privilege. He noted that the Minister occupies a very sensitive position and the comments should not be overlooked. There have been overwhelming calls for the resignation or sack of the Minister over his pro-Taliban comments. In reaction to this, the Minister renounced his radical comments, saying he now knows better but despite this, Nigerians increasingly called for his sack or resignation. This led to a trend with the hashtag, #PantamiResignNow on Social media. The opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also called on the Department of State Services (DSS) to immediately invite the Minister for questioning and urged President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately sack the minister, “given the sensitivity of the issue at stake.” https://www.channelstv.com/2021/04/21/just-in-reps-minority-leader-joins-calls-for-pantamis-removal/

Security issues in Nigeria is beyond Pantami. Its a NORTHERN AGENDA There are SO MANY 'Pantamis' in various sectors and arms of this country. They have moved their foot solders to every part of the country, While some are in various corridors of power some are just as ordinary as tricycle operators, truck pushers, street tailors, water vendors, Security guards etc. They appear to be dangerously planning a genocide not WAR against so called unbelievers. Yes, this is beyond a plan for war. they are planning a massacre against a section that are so unaware and so unconcerned or should I say less concerned about obvious security matters. Red flag warnings are all over for all to see and decipher. Add the numbers and the results will show exactly the obvious threats. Those who exposed Pantami's terrorist background painstakingly did their mathematical calculations and the result of the near future plan was so shocking they could not hold back or keep quite. Meanwhile the Agenda planners have refused to learn from history. The WATCHER is watching...!!!! The WALLS of Jericho will fall down flat without a single fire shot 5 Likes 1 Share |

Damage control..!!!! The dishonorable Minister should honorably resign and allow for proper and forensic investigation into the allegation. The US intels/investigative agencies are not slow pocks as their Nigerian counterparts so you don't expect them to disclose classified and sensitive security details that could lead to diplomatic row (since Pantamin is a serving member of the government) to an unknown journalist just for the asking. CONCLUSION The writer of this piece is too hasty in making conclusions therefore ought to be added to the watch list 124 Likes 8 Shares |

He took a loan from one of the Loan Apps in January 2021 and for some reasons could not meet up in payment on the due date. Within days, the Loan app tormented his life with sms to all his contacts; friends, family members, in-laws, business associates etc defaming and calling him a fraudster, criminal and so on claiming he defrauded a Chinese Company and on the run over a loan of N20k With all the embarrassments he got after few who got the defaming sms called him, he clears all the outstanding debts and deletes all loan apps completely from his device vowing never to have anything to do with any one of them anymore. Fast forward two months later 19th March 2021.... He got a threat message from this very loan app calling him out again. Calling him a fraudster, criminal and how his name has been submitted to Lagos State SCID, email sent to Banks to put his account on lieu and how he will be arrested in a couple of days. Few minutes later, a friend called to ask why he was still owing these loan apps and getting further embarrassments as he just got another defaming sms. The young man was so shocked that he immediately called the number that sent the sms and with even further rude response, the lady from the loan app who picked the call went ahead to insult him abit as soon as he mentioned and insisted he was not owing their company. She hung the call severally times on him but he persisted until she requested for his full name for verification. She confirmed he wasn't owing and rather than apologizing she only said 'it was a mistake' and she hung the call again without uttering an apology. Conversations were all recorded... If you were in his shoes what action would you take? or what advise would you give him?

The plan by the North to cut food supply to the South in Nigeria shouldn't be taken lightly at all as this is a direct ploy at declaring 'war' against the South through hunger and starvation. WHAT IF Northern Nigeria has petroleum product in commercial quantity but hoarding it for a time as this?
