I have been patiently reading all the post above me what did I find? Someone raised a question and instead of answering the question, 6 pages was dedicated to insults, yelling, name calling and trash talking. Its not a must you have to comment. If you don't know the answer why not keep calm and learn. Let's be tolerant of others it promotes peace and unity for we ALL are BROTHERS
Back to the question. Jesus death made it possible that those who died prior to his death will have the hope of coming back to life. In his defence before Governor Festus and King Agrippa II Apostle Paul in Acts 24:15 said that he had hope that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the UNRIGHTEOUS. Who are these unrighteous fellows one may ask? They are individuals who had no privilege, opportunity to hear the glorious goodnews about the Christ and the sanctification of God's name. These ones will be brought back to life and given opportunity to learn about God and his Son Christ

i do not see what what benefit we tend to derive from this. In as much as am not condoning her act but this is one of the reasons why the country is still developing why stolen funds are taken away from this country and used to develop other countries. Yes indeed its our money that was stolen but ironically it still serves as employment for some people. Where were the Government when it was stolen in the first place? Are they not the ones that turned a blind eye when the crime was committed? Its better it was stolen nd invested in the country improving the economy, job opportunities for some than taking it to another country. This is why some steal and take it to other country to avoid witch hunting

See how everybody is agitating, saying whatever they feel like some have resorted to name calling saying the writer of that book is an Supremist, some are of the opinion that because he is a jew that is why he wrote things like this.We dont use emotions in understanding the scriptures not because what the Bible said is not favourable to you,you try to adjust it so that everything will gel. When the book of 2Tim 3:16 said All Scriptures is by the INSPIRATION of God...it means everything written in the scriptures was done not by the writers but came directly from God[although some Paul said that some of the things he wrote was not God that said it that it is him giving those commands but God allowed such words of his to be penned down reason because paul's thought or line of reason is in line with HIS]
Now regarding the point Paul raised, Paul said in 1Tim 2:12 that women ARE NOT PERMITTED TO TEACH OR TO EXERCISE AUTHORITY OVER A MAN. The question that begs asking is this:TEACH WHERE----in the Church. It is not as if the scriptures forbids women to teach God's word to people NO if it does the account of Matt 28:19,20 will not be making sense because it applies to both men and women.Paul also shades a little light as to what he had in mind when giving that instruction further he said...OR TO EXERCISE AUTHORITY OVER A MAN...FOR ADAM WAS FORM FIRST...ALSO,ADAM WAS NOT DECEIVED, BUT THE WOMAN WAS THOROUGHLY DECEIVED AND CAME TO BE A TRANSGRESSOR.This also reminds me of the Principle of headship in 1Corin 11:3 the head of Christ is God, the head of the church is Christ and the head of the woman is the man.
So in the christian congregation, women are not Permitted to teach there but are free to preach and teach outside the church

Thanks for quoting. I understand what you meant when you said God didn't create the devil (referring to the evil in lucifer, figuratively speaking).

Nevertheless the thread title is a little bit tricky and misleading from a distance.

I suggest it read "Did God create the evil in Satan?" instead.

Anyway, I've a question for you, if you don't mind.

The Meaning of Jehovah’s Bringing Evil. Rightly, Jehovah brought evil or calamity upon Adam for his disobedience. Hence, in the Scriptures, Jehovah is referred to as the Creator of evil or calamity. (Isa 45:7; compare KJ.) His enforcing of the penalty for sin, namely, death, has proved to be an evil, or a calamity, for mankind. So, then, evil is not always synonymous with wrongdoing. Examples of evils or calamities created by Jehovah are the Flood of Noah’s day and the Ten Plagues visited upon Egypt. But these evils were not wrongs. Rather, the rightful administration of justice against wrongdoers was involved in both cases. However, at times Jehovah, in his mercy, has refrained from bringing the intended calamity or evil in execution of his righteous judgment because of the repentance on the part of those concerned. (Jon 3:10) Additionally, in having a warning given, Jehovah has undeservedly provided opportunities for the practicers of bad to change their course and thus to keep living.—Eze 33:11.

Many Christian denominations teach that God is a Trinity. However, note what the Encyclopædia Britannica states: “"Neither the word Trinity nor the explicit doctrine appears in the New Testament . . . The doctrine developed gradually over several centuries and through many controversies."”

In fact, the God of the Bible is never described as being part of a Trinity. Note these Bible passages:

“"Jehovah our God is One Jehovah."”—Deuteronomy 6:4.

“"You, whose name is Jehovah, you alone are the Most High over all the earth."”—Psalm 83:18.

“"This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."”—John 17:3.

“"God is only one."”—Galatians 3:20.

Why do most Christian denominations say that God is a Trinity?

Berlynn:

a lot of us believe in this concept that Jesus is the son of God why some thinks Jesus is God..

Was Jesus God? If so, to whom did he pray tp? Who resurrected him? Are you saying he did not really die?

Answer
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)

The above clearly shows Jesus is the Word made flesh. That He is God incarnate. Then we have:

Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. (John 14:9-14:20)

The above passage clearly tells us that the Son dwells in the Father, and the Father in the Son, that is they are ONE Jesus is the father the son and the holy spirit!

To whom did Jesus pray to?

Jesus prayed to His Heavenly Father of course. One person to another, yet the same deity. This is obviously very difficult, perhaps even impossible, to fully comprehend for the human mind, though. However, one must bear in mind that God is infinitely much more than we can possibly understand. God is infinite, and we mortals are merely finite. There is no ratio between the finite and the infinite, and as such the two are beyond comparison. In the passage I quoted above from John 14, Jesus asks Philip to believe that he is in the Father and that the Father is in him. He asks him to have faith in this truth, and therefore we should not reject it, even if we cannot understand it.

when Jesus was answering Philip he was asserting that Him and His father are of the same purpose in his later statement which you just quoted "The words I say to you are not just my own." suggests Jesus' position in relation to his father
Religion / Did God Create The Devil? by splashybone(m): 1:25am On Dec 01, 2016
The Bible’s answer

The Bible shows that God did not create the Devil. Instead, He created the person who became the Devil. Regarding God, the Bible says: “"Perfect is his activity, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness, with whom there is no injustice; righteous and upright is he."” (Deuteronomy 32:3-5) From that statement, we can conclude that Satan the Devil was at one time perfect and righteous, namely, one of God’s angelic sons.

At John 8:44, Jesus said that the Devil “"did not stand fast in the truth,"” implying that Satan had at one time been truthful and guiltless.

However, like the rest of Jehovah’s intelligent creatures, the angel who became Satan had the freedom to choose between right and wrong. By choosing a course in opposition to God and inciting the first human couple to join him, he made himself Satan, which means “Resister.”—Genesis 3:1-5; Revelation 12:9.
Religion / What Is Forgiveness? by splashybone(m): 5:03am On Nov 26, 2016
The Bible’s answer

Forgiveness is the act of pardoning an offender. In the Bible, the Greek word translated “forgiveness” literally means “to let go,” as when a person does not demand payment for a debt. Jesus used this comparison when he taught his followers to pray: “Forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is in debt to us.” (Luke 11:4) Likewise, in his parable of the unmerciful slave, Jesus equated forgiveness with canceling a debt.—Matthew 18:23-35.

We forgive others when we let go of resentment and give up any claim to be compensated for the hurt or loss we have suffered. The Bible teaches that unselfish love is the basis for true forgiveness, since love “does not keep account of the injury.”—1 Corinthians 13:4, 5.
What forgiveness does not mean

Condoning the offense. The Bible actually condemns those who claim that bad actions are harmless or acceptable.—Isaiah 5:20.

Pretending that the offense never happened. God forgave King David of serious sins, but he did not shield David from the consequences of his actions. God even had David’s sins recorded so that they are remembered today.—2 Samuel 12:9-13.

Allowing others to take advantage of you. Suppose, for example, that you loan money to someone, but he wastes it and then cannot repay you as he had promised. He is very sorry and apologizes to you. You could choose to forgive him by not harboring resentment, not rehashing the matter with him continually, and perhaps even canceling the debt altogether. However, you might also choose not to loan him any more money.—Psalm 37:21; Proverbs 14:15; 22:3; Galatians 6:7.

Pardoning with no valid basis. God does not forgive people who are guilty of willful, malicious sin and who refuse to acknowledge their mistakes, change their ways, and apologize to those whom they have hurt. (Proverbs 28:13; Acts 26:20; Hebrews 10:26) Such unrepentant ones become God’s enemies, and he does not require us to forgive those whom he has not forgiven.—Psalm 139:21, 22.

What if you are the victim of cruel mistreatment by someone who refuses to apologize or even admit to what he has done? The Bible advises: “Let go of anger and abandon rage.” (Psalm 37:8.) While not excusing the error, you can refuse to be consumed with anger. Trust that God will bring the person to account. (Hebrews 10:30, 31) You can also take comfort in knowing that God will bring a time when we will no longer feel the deep pain or hurt that may burden us now.—Isaiah 65:17; Revelation 21:4.

“Forgiving” every perceived slight. Sometimes, rather than pardoning a so-called offender, we may need to admit that we had no valid cause for being offended in the first place. The Bible says: “Do not be quick to take offense, for the taking of offense is the mark of a fool.”—Ecclesiastes 7:9, footnote.

How to forgive someone

Remember what forgiveness involves. You are not condoning the wrong or acting as if it never happened—you are simply letting it go.

Recognize the benefits of forgiving. Letting go of anger and resentment can help you to keep calm, improve your health, and increase your happiness. (Proverbs 14:30; Matthew 5:9) Even more important, forgiving others is a key to receiving God’s forgiveness for your own sins.—Matthew 6:14, 15.

Be empathetic. All of us are imperfect. (James 3:2) Just as we appreciate being forgiven, we should likewise forgive the mistakes of others.—Matthew 7:12.

Be reasonable. When we have a minor cause for complaint, we can apply the Bible’s counsel: “Continue putting up with one another.”—Colossians 3:13.

Act quickly. Work to forgive as soon as you can rather than letting your anger fester.—Ephesians 4:26, 27.

l.God's word the Bible provides us with the most satisfying answers only if we are ready to accept it. When we see ring of truth can we accept it as truly God's word or do we still have doubts
1. John 3:16 answers God loved the world so much that He gave his only begotten son that whoever BELIEVES will not be destroyed but have everlasting life
2. Jesus is not the only criteria for us to inherit God's kingdom why? John 17:3 answers this means everlasting life the taking in knowledge of You the Only true God and the one whom u sent forth Jesus Christ.
3. The Bible made it clear that its not everyone will make Heaven rather its only a selected few whose responsibility it is to rule with Christ in Heaven Rev 5:10 made it clear the work these selected few will be doing while the remaining great crowd of other sheep will inherit the earth Psalms 36:9,10,11&29
4.Almost all the prophets prior to Jesus Christ prophesied about him and all the things said about him fulfilled
5.Hell actually means the common grave of mankind. meaning all humans whether good or bad will go there
6. Even from a human stand point it was not possible to do that recognizing that fact made Jesus to trained people to carry on the word to the most distant part of the earth
7.It is my him only we will have salvation that why in the name of Jesus every kneel whether in heaven except He that gave him such authority and the ones on earth must bow. We don't worship Jesus because God alone should be worshipped and rendered sacred service even in Jesus' reply to Satan's temptation proved this point
8. refer to 5&7
9.Cornelius still was a gentile and much good was attributed to him.
10.Its so because they are a people special to God
11.If u can recall the convenant God entered with Abraham that my means of his seed all nations on earth will bless themselves. Jacob who was renamed Israel started that nation. That seed the primary part was Jesus Christ but. when the Jews refused to accept the provision of life God offered He now threw the invitation open why because God is not partial but the man that fears Him us agreeable to Him.
So my friends pls do not fight with Words or abuse yourselves rather give it a careful thought pls

macof: Some questions for you. pls answer them as I know christians usually leave my questions unanswered
1. Who told you u needed a saviour, that u had to believe in a Jew before you can get to heaven?
2. What are you suppose to do to make heaven? just believe in jesus?
3. What did your ancestors say about heaven, and how to make it to heaven??
4. did your ancestors preach about any messiah?
5. Are your ancestors going to hell for not worshipping the Jew?
6. why did Jesus not go round the world preaching? since you claim he came for the world why did he not preach to the world, why only Jews?
7. why do u Believe Jesus in the first place? wats makes u so convinced that u cant get to heaven unless u worship him?
8. would people who dont worship the Jew go to hell?
9. Why is the bible about the Jews, why don't I see any righteous attributes allocated to the gentiles?
10. Why is it that God showed himself only to the Jews?
11. Why was it only Israel that was referred to as God's own nation? so Egypt and the rest were for Satan abi?

I think I should stop here, I really have a lot of questions to put forward but maybe as time goes on I would, but Christians should answer this questions

God a Trinity?
The Bible’s answer
Many Christian denominations teach that God is a
Trinity. However, note what the Encyclopædia
Britannica states: “Neither the word Trinity nor the
explicit doctrine appears in the New Testament . . .
The doctrine developed gradually over several
centuries and through many controversies.”
In fact, the God of the Bible is never described as
being part of a Trinity. Note these Bible passages:
“Jehovah our God is one Jehovah.”—
Deuteronomy 6:4 .
“You, whose name is Jehovah, you
alone are the Most High over all the
earth.”— Psalm 83:18 .
“This means everlasting life, their
taking in knowledge of you, the only
true God, and of the one whom you
sent forth, Jesus Christ.”— John 17:3 .
“God is only one.”— Galatians 3:20 .
Why do most Christian denominations say that
God is a Trinity?
MYTH: God Is a Trinity
What is the origin of the myth?
“The impression could arise that the Trinitarian
dogma is in the last analysis a late 4th-century
invention. In a sense, this is true . . . The
formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not
solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated
into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior
to the end of the 4th century.”— New Catholic
Encyclopedia (1967), Volume 14, page 299.
“The Council of Nicaea met on May 20, 325 [C.E.].
Constantine himself presided, actively guiding the
discussions, and personally proposed . . . the
crucial formula expressing the relation of Christ to
God in the creed issued by the council, ‘of one
substance with the Father.’ . . . Overawed by the
emperor, the bishops, with two exceptions only,
signed the creed, many of them much against their
inclination.”— Encyclopædia Britannica (1970),
Volume 6, page 386.
What does the Bible say?
“Stephen, filled with the Holy Spirit, gazed into
heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus
standing at God’s right hand. ‘Look! I can see
heaven thrown open,’ he said, ‘and the Son of man
standing at the right hand of God.’”— Acts 7:55, 56 ,
The New Jerusalem Bible.
What did this vision reveal? Filled with God’s active
force, Stephen saw Jesus “standing at God’s right
hand.” Clearly, then, Jesus did not become God
again after his resurrection to heaven but, rather, a
distinct spiritual being. There is no mention of a
third person next to God in this account. Despite
attempts to find passages of Scripture to support
the Trinity dogma, Dominican priest Marie-Émile
Boismard wrote in his book À l’aube du
christianisme—La naissance des dogmes (At the
Dawn of Christianity—The Birth of Dogmas): “The
statement that there are three persons in the one
God . . . cannot be read anywhere in the New
Testament.”
The dogma that Constantine championed was
intended to put an end to dissensions within the
fourth-century Church. However, it actually raised
another issue: Was Mary, the woman who bore
Jesus, “the Mother of God”?
Compare these Bible verses: Matthew 26:39; John
14:28; 1 Corinthians 15:27, 28; Colossians
1:15, 16
